Harry
The morning was going well for Harry. He and Ron were behind on homework again, but Hermione was able to help them. It had been a week since Percy had touched the necklace, and they went to see him.
"You think Hermione's there again?" Ron asked.
"Probably," he said. It was common knowledge at this point that Percy and Hermione liked each other but nobody knew the reason they weren't together other than Harry and Ginny, who were quite busy playing matchmaker with Percy and Hermione.
They went into the hospital wing and saw that Hermione was there, as usual.
Only this time she and Percy were snogging.
He looked at Ron, who seemed to just stand there in shocked silence. "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?" he shouted.
They turned and looked where Harry and Ron were walking towards them. "Well, Ron," Percy said, "when two people love each other, they do a thing called a kiss, which shows that - "
"Why are you snogging him?" Ron demanded.
"Well," Hermione said, "it's like Percy said, when two people love each other - "
"You love him?"
"Is that a problem?"
"No," he sputtered, "just - "
He looked at everyone around him, and left the hospital wing.
"Well," Percy said, "that was weird."
"He should have made a move if he liked me," Hermione said.
"He likes you?"
"Probably," Harry said.
"Now, what has happened this week?" Percy asked.
"Well, you missed a lesson with Dumbledore," Harry said, "where I saw a kid Voldemort."
"That sounds terrifying, Percy said.
"In a way, it was."
"We have homework," Hermione said.
"I wish that necklace finished me off."
"And we saw Hagrid, where we learned his … friend, is dying."
"That sucks. Who's the friend?"
"An acromantula named Aragog."
"Okay, what's an acromantula?"
"A giant spider."
"Wow. Anything else?"
"Not really."
"Great! Let's go!"
"You don't get out until the afternoon."
"It's eleven fifty, it's close enough!"
Hermione rolled her eyes, but they left. "Harry, is there a Quidditch match soon?" Percy asked.
"Yeah, tomorrow."
"Cool. I must practice now."
They went over to the Quidditch pitch and Harry practiced with Percy by letting bludgers and snitch loose.
Hermione sat at the stands, reading a book, looking up from time to time.
When they were done, Hermione handed them an invitation. "What is this?" Percy asked.
"An invitation to Slughorn's latest party. And he asked me to check when you two are free, so you'll have to go."
"That guy has parties?" Percy asked.
"How do you not know that?" Hermione asked.
"ADHD."
"And Harry, I heard Romilda Vane in the restroom talking to her friends about making a love potion for you. They might be hoping you'll take them to the party."
"Wait, we take people to the party?" Percy asked.
"Only if you want to," Hermione said.
"Well, it wouldn't be too hard, considering the person I want to take is already going."
Hermione blushed a bit, and they went to the common room, where they saw Ginny with Dean. "Hey Ginny!" Percy said.
"Yes?" she replied.
"Remember what you and Harry did to Hermione and I on the train?"
Ginny's eyes widened and before Harry knew it, he was being lifted into the air and forced to snog Ginny. They landed on the ground on top of each other.
"Revenge!" Percy cackled, heading up to the boys dormitories.
When you see the Harry Potter movies, it becomes very hard to picture Harry and Ginny together because the movies took away practically all of Ginny's character, so even though you know they're good for each other based on the books, the movies make it hard to picture it.
