"Sonic? Tails? Kirby? Anyone?"

Nothing came. There was simply static. Everyone seemed to have vanished entirely. The hedgehog looked down in despair.

Suddenly, he heard a loud crash. Turning around, he saw both cars had burst through the wall once more. Chuck looked inside the DeLorean, and Dr. Eggman was in there, unconscious. Seizing the opportunity, Chuck picked up the doctor. Straining from the doctor's tremendous weight, he carried Eggman to the parked Egg Mobile outside and placed him in, before setting the auto-pilot back to his hideout.

At that moment, the heroes woke up. "Huh?" said Tails. "W-we're back!"

"We're back!" said Kirby. "It's all so beautiful!"

"Wait, where's Ms. Featherbon?" asked Sultan, in fear.

A groan was heard from inside the DeLorean. The heroes got out of the convertible and looked inside. Ms. Featherbon was lying there. "Ms. Featherbon, are you okay?" asked Pumpkin, just as scared.

The fairy looked up and weakly smiled. "I'm...fine. In fact, I think my magic has...returned. It's almost like...when I tamper with time...it recharges me…"

"Then why do you seem so weak?"

"Because...it really tuckered me out...I think I'm gonna go back to…" The hummingbird started snoring before she could even finish, and everyone started to laugh.

Chuck ran back in. "Amazing!" he shouted. "Not only is my invention a success and time saved, but I've unlocked a new chapter in my study of time travel, thanks to Ms. Featherbon!"

Kirby took out the sleeping Ms. Featherbon and showed her to Chuck. "I think that might have to wait, sir."

Everyone started to laugh again. Just then, Kirby got an idea. "What if I can use my Warp Star to get back home?"

"Yeah, we can give you a tour of Whisker Haven!" said Pumpkin.

"Sorry you can't let us see your world, Sonic," said Treasure to the hedgehog.

"Eh, that can wait," said the hedgehog, shrugging. "This adventure's been epic. I'm satisfied."

And so, the Palace Pets gathered with Kirby on the Warp Star and Sonic, Tails, and Chuck waved goodbye as they blasted off into the sky. After that, Tails took out his Miles Electric and pressed a few buttons. The Tornado appeared in front of them, just as it did during the first adventure in Whisker Haven.

"Y'know, Tails," said Chuck, "I think we can start continuing that project we've been doing soon."

The fox took out his model DeLorean. "Yeah, maybe with this bad boy right here! And we can get Ms. Featherbon involved, like you suggested a while back!"

Chuck patted the fox on the head. "Never stop dreaming big."

After that, Tails hopped into the Tornado and Sonic hopped on the top wing, The two waved goodbye as they began flying back to Hedgehogtroplis. "So, are you sure you're fine about you-know-what?" Tails asked.

Sonic looked back and smiled. "Y'know what? I really think I am." He turned back towards the horizon. "And I don't care if I do anything like that again. Or anything in general! Whatever tomorrow has in store for us, I'm ready for it!"

He decided he was ready to tell him. He had studied enough. He tapped on his phone and called him up. "Hello, Sonic," he said when his nephew picked up. "Now that you've rested from our last adventure, I'd like to introduce you to a new discovery of mine: the Unkingdom."

Postface: With that, I can check another story off the list! I'm actually making good time, even with these delays!

Quite frankly, of the stories so far, this one's probably the one whose changed version I'm most proud of. The subplot was reworked to be more lore-friendly, and the stakes were raised. I sure wish I could give my past self some advice!

Now then, this is the last mainline Sonic story I have, but I'm not done with the hedgehog yet! I still have a new substory to write, not to mention a whole lot of one-shots! The one-shots will also have the Palace Pets, Kirby, Unikitty, and maybe a certain blue heeler...plus, Jaleel will get a starring role!
