Spongebob and his best friend, Patrick, looked at the gunship he had seen before. It landed on the sand and, like before, It opened up, and Spongebob saw only five familiar faces. He smiled."Hi Korto! Hi Niner! Hi Fi! Hi Darman! Hi Atin! Hi the rest!" He greeted.
"Uh...It's Quinlan, Spongebob." Korto, er, Quinlan corrected.
"Yeah, and were not those guys either." Said the, from what Spongebob remembered what they were called, clone commando that had green paint on it's white armor. The green paint also see to peel a little, along with the rest of the commando's armors.
Spongebob raised an eyebrow, confused."You're not?"
The one with orange paint nodded."Yep. We're Delta Squad." After the introductions, Spongebob learned of Shaak Ti, Autem, Lyshaa, Ryyk, and Delta Squad, Spongebob heard the orange one, named Boss, say something."So these are our guides to...Goo Lagoon? They look like a bunch of Chickens."
"Hey," Said Patrick, holding a bag of popcorn."We are not chickens!" He threw his bag in anger, only to realize what he had done. He gasped."My popcorn!" He then pecked at it like a chicken.
Spongebob heard the human named Autem sigh."It's going to be a long day."
"We're here at Goo Lagoon!" Spongebob said as he led them to the beach. He smiled, seeing the sign.
"Yeah, that's great Kid," Said Scorch."But where's Ko Sai and Shogar Tok? From what we know, they were last seen here."
Spongebob thought for a moment."Ko Sai and Sugar Tok..."
"No, It's...ah, screw it." Said Sev.
"Come on, Kid, we don't have all day." Said Boss, impatient.
"Uh...maybe he's still at the beach!" They kept walking when they saw a fish dancing. Before they could ask him questions, Spongebob noticed something flying in the sky.
"Unidentified Droid!" Exclaimed Scorch.
Out of the corner of his eye, Spongebob saw Shaak Ti grab her lightsaber but Boss stopped her."Let's see how this plays out."
The Droid had a colorful, but had some holes in it, umbrella which allowed it to float. It also had glasses. It was holding a small, little device. He pressed it and something appeared out of the sky. A little, grey storm cloud appeared above the green fish. Lightning then struck him so hard, that he was nothing but black and burnt. The fish screamed in pain and ran away, the storm cloud following. The Droid laughed.
Shaak Ti looked at Boss."Why did you stop me? We could have saved that fish!"
"What we needed to do was see what that Droid was capable of. Sev, take care of that." Boss ordered.
Sev nodded."With pleasure." Spongebob wondered if the red paint on his helmet was actually painted or just blood. Spongebob looked as he changed his gun into something longer. He then looked through the scope of it and pulled the trigger. Spongebob jumped a little when the laser hit the Droid's head. It then fell down.
They continued on and Spongebob found Larry the Lobster."Hi Larry! These are my new friends, Shaak Ti, Lysh-"
"Yeah, that's great, Spongebob." Said Larry, looking at his muscles."Spongebob, do I look burned?"
"Well, you do look a little red." Spongebob pointed out.
"Barnacles!" Said Larry."That darn robot!"
"Robot?!" Spongebob said in surprise.
"Yeah. A big robot stole everybody's sunscreen." Larry nodded.
"Oh no!" Spongebob said, feeling sorry for the fish at the beach."Everyone will burn! And then they'll get all itchy and peel!"
"I'm pretty sure that's the last we need to worry about." Sev said."But where is this Droid anyway?"
"That robot is out on the island." Larry pointed."Nobody can get to him."
"I got this," Sev said confidently. He aimed the weapon at the Droid in the distance and fired. The laser, like before, hit the Droid, which was a Ham-Mer, and the Droid fell over the boxes of sunscreen."Target eliminated. Now, let's go find Ko Sai."
They kept walking down the sandy beach when Spongebob heard a noise. Robotic laughter. Out of nowhere, the big, furry creature, named Ryyk, was then struck by lightning."GRAHHHHHHHRRR!" The Wookiee yelled in pain. Once the lightning stopped, the Wookiee fell down on his face almost immediately.
"Ryyk!" Shaak Ti said. She looked at the floating Droid and used her lightsaber to cut it's head off. The Droid then fell into the sand. Everyone turned to the Wookiee. Shaak Ti touched his heart. She then closed her eyes."I am sorry, Ryyk. After we find Shogar Tok and Ko Sai, I will be sure to bring your body back to Kashyyk. There, you will be mourned by your people. This is all I can do." She said sadly. She then stood up."We must keep going."
Before they left, Spongebob took one last look at the lifeless body.
"What in death's name is that?" Asked Boss.
"Is that...a bubble?" Asked Lyshaa.
"Bubble Buddy," Quinlan said, remembering the sentient bubble at Jellyfish fields."You're the one who warned us about that King Jellyfish."
The talking bubble with a hat nodded."Yep. I also heard your looking for some guy named Shogar Tok."
Shaak Ti nodded."Yes. Do you know where he is."
"I think I heard he was heading to the pier. He might still be there." Bubble Buddy suggested."You'll just need to get through the big sandcastle."
"If I had a castle, I'd name it Fort Pattytown the III. And Fort Pattytown the III would have a big bake sale every Monday." Spongebob dreamed. Everyone just looked at him confused.
They walked through the Sandcastle, taking care of a few Droids, and looked at the cave."Seems like a good place for Ko Sai to hide. Assuming she's in there." Said Scorch.
"Let's just get this over with," Autem said.
"Are you a soldier?" Spongebob randomly asked as they walked through the cave.
Autem shrugged."Sorta. I was a senate guard actually."
Spongebob saw the surprise on Quinlan's face."You were a blue? What happened?"
"I shot my brother in the line of duty," Autem admitted sadly."Then my wife left me...including my son and daughter."
Before they could continue the conversation, however, and before Spongebob could ask what they were talking about, they saw Spongebob's pet snail, Gary."Hello, Gary." Spongebob smiled at his gare-bear."What's new?"
"Meow." Gary said.
"You don't say?! Squidward bought a new sweater?!" Spongebob said in surprise."Oh! He's so crazy!"
"Wait, how did you understand just one meow?" Asked Autem.
"Meow."
"Oh, and Shogar Tok is at the pier as well! Thanks, Gary!"
"Well, let's get going. I want to win before those Omega guys get to her first." Said Boss.
"Well, It's not about winning," Spongebob said."It's about fun."
The one named Fixer looked at him."Fun? What about it?"
"Well...F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for-"
"Hey, kid," Scorch interrupted."I like having fun as well, but ya' don't need to sing about it."
They had finally made it to the Goo Lagoon Pier. There, they saw Mr. Krabs."Sorry, lad, but the carnival is closed." Mr. Krabs said sadly once they walked to him.
"Who's the red, sweaty guy?" Asked Sev.
"Sweaty?!" Mr. Krabs said angrily."Why I oughta-" He then sniffed something and his eyes widened."Huh...well, anyway, a pesky robot has taken over me Ticket booth and worse, me money!"
"We should have been robbing this guy." Fixer muttered, yet Mr. Krabs didn't hear it.
"If you help me get rid of that no-good robot, I'll give you a big reward." Mr. Krabs offered.
Before Spongebob could even blink, he heard Boss yell."Shogar Tok!" He pointed at the human holding an ax in the distance of the pier. Next to him, there were five rebel soldiers, all holding weapons.
"Fire!" He yelled, pointing his ax at them. Red laser then came to them.
"DUCK!" Ordered Boss.
Spongebob looked around, confused."Where?" Before he knew it, Boss pushed Spongebob to the ground. The red lasers went over them. Once the laser fire stopped, they slowly got up.
"After them!" Boss ordered.
"B-But...what about her?" Spongebob asked, pointing at Lyshaa...who was on the ground. Her stomach had been torned opened by the laser, her guts hanging out, yet she was still breathing.
Boss walked over to her, pointing his weapon, and pulled the trigger."Come on."
Spongebob stared at the red girl for a second before he followed.
"There he is!" Yelled Quinlan. They had been running through the carnival for almost twenty minutes. In their running, they had been shooting Droids and and Rebel soldier...causing them to destroy a few things on the pier.
So much destruction... Spongebob thought sadly. He then saw a B1 Droid try to hit him with his gun when Spongebob used his bubble wand to hit him into the water.
Spongebob looked to see Quinlan activate his green lightsaber when he was near Shogar Tok."Quinlan, no!" Yelled Shaak Ti. But it was too late. Spongebob didn't how long, but Quinlan quickly cut down the human in the blink of an eye. His body, now decapitated by the waist down, fell.
"I am sorry you had to see that, Spongebob." Shaak Ti admitted. The battle was over. They had won."Quinlan Vos is a good Jedi...but he has been close to the Dark Side lately..."
Spongebob raised an eyebrow."Dark Side? What do you mean by that?"
Shaak Ti smiled."If I return one day, perhaps I will teach you about the Force. You may not be Force-Sensitive, but you are a great warrior." Shaak Ti, who seemed a little injured from the battle, then turned to the gunship, where Quinlan and Autem were waiting.
"You're a nice kid," Said Fixer."Your no commando, but you would make a great trooper. But we got to go. Ko Sai is still out there."
The commandos walked into the gunship, blaster on their shoulder. Spongebob then heard them sing a song he wasn't familiar with.
"Kote! Kandosii sa ka'rta, Vode an. Coruscanta a'den mhi, Vode an. Bal kote, darasuum kote, jorso'ran kando a tome. Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an. Kandosii sa ka'rta, Vode an. Coruscanta a'den mhi, Vode an. Bal...Motir ca'tra nau tracinya. Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a. Aruetyc talyc runi'la solus cet o'r. Motir ca'tra nau tracinya. Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a. Aruestyc talyc runi'la trattok'o. Sa kyr'am nau tracyn kad, Vode an!" They all sang in unison before the ship flew.
"Master Ti." Said a familiar voice. Shaak Ti was in her room meditating. Shaak Ti looked to see Jedi Master Plo Koon at the doorway."They said you had emerged from the bacta tank. I'm gratified to see you well again but...you seem troubled."
Shaak Ti sighed."I have questions, Master Koon, and, increasingly, no time to ponder them. When in the midst of something, I do. When I sit, like now, I wonder. I wonder what it is that we do, Plo. We fight for the Republic and its ideals, but on Brentaal IV we have imposed a government on its people that is not of their choice. I wonder what this war does to us, as Jedi, as the Republic. What it does to me. All wars change all those who fight them. And in ways we cannot foresee." She said sadly."It is my nature to find an answer. To find a way. But in this, I am having trouble seeing that answer."
"It is right to question, Shaak Ti, even when there are no answer," Plo said before sitting down next to her."Come. Let us meditate together. Tomorrow, we can be Generals and fight this war again. For now, we are simply Jedi. And old friends."
