Urgh, my computer froze and I had to force reset and lost part of the chapter so I had to re-write. What's with me losing part (or all) of my chapters? Happens at least once a story. :(
Chapter 8
It was late at night with the only lights on at the convention arena were in the head office. The crowds had left for the day and the CPU Candidates were spending the night over at Planeptune's Basilicom, which Blanc hoped that the twins were using that time to sleep and not goof off and stay up. In the head office, Noire, Vert, Blanc and Neptune were brainstorming ways to finish off the festival in a way that would have them all be satisfied.
Noire sat in a comfortable desk chair and groaned as nothing came to her mind. "Anyone got any ideas?" She asked and looked at Neptune, who was sitting in a chair on the other side of the desk...
...which was slowly spinning...
...And Neptune was looking up at the ceiling while making some sort of thinking noise. "Sorry, I don't got any ideas right now."
"I apologize," Vert said with some grogginess in her tone as she laid partially on the couch. "But nothing is coming to my mind that wouldn't take more time to set up than we have."
"I got nothing else right now either. Sorry," Blanc shook her head from where she was sitting on the couch and tried to ignore Vert's legs on her lap while re-reading the script for the play they had put on. "I've got nothing." She tilted her head. "Neptune, you said that this was made for all audiences, right?"
"Uh huh." Neptune nodded while she continued to slowly spin around. "Is there something you want?"
"I don't suppose you have everything that happened, do you?" Blanc asked and she raised an eyebrow as Neptune nodded. "Can I see it? It could be useful for a story idea."
"Sure..." Neptune nodded and stopped spinning while opening up her inventory. "I had a device that recorded everything that I did while on that trip so I wouldn't forget." She had several devices that were filled with data of her adventures, mostly because people wanted to know about the lives of the CPUs had done in their lives over the centuries. "Do you want the public version or the uncensored version? The latter has everything that was done." Neptune told her. "And I mean everything."
"I'll take the uncensored version." Blanc told her and Neptune nodded before pulling out a data stick and tossing it to Blanc.
"This is the best I can do, I kept out the trips to the bathroom because that was information that wasn't needed, I think."
"Thank you." Blanc nodded, glad that Neptune hadn't put that information into it as that was stuff she didn't want to know.
Noire grabbed her head and started rubbing her hands back and forth and she groaned in dismay. "At this rate, we may have to just go 'thank you for coming' or something."
"That won't help us gather shares." Blanc pointed out, sighing in frustration as she couldn't think of anything either.
Growling in frustration, Noire pulled her hands off of her head and glared at Blanc. "I know that!" Noire yelled and groaned at the look Blanc gave her. "Sorry, just tired and I want to show off, but... I..." She blinked as an idea suddenly came to her. "That's it!"
"What's it?" Vert asked as she sat up slightly.
"How about an exhibition match to close out the festival?" Noire asked.
"You mean like in the old days?" Blanc asked, getting a nod from Noire. "Hmm, might be fun, it's been awhile since any of us actually fought against each other outside of gaming."
As she heard that suggestion, Neptune had a look of discomfort on her face while she stopped her spinning. "Are you all sure? We can get pretty destructive in our fights. Didn't we destroy an island once, Noire?"
Noire waved off Neptune's concerns. "We won't be fighting for real, so we won't be trying to pump as much of our shares into our attacks as we would normally. Plus we're just going to show off for the audience."
"I think it's a wonderful idea." Vert smiled and clapped her hands together, incidentally squishing her breasts together. "A way to show off for our fans and vent some of the stress that's been building up until now seems excellent."
"What?" Blanc smirked at Neptune's uneasiness. "Afraid you'll lose to us?"
Neptune fought back the urge to get too competitive with Blanc over that statement and chuckled at her. "Okay, I guess it's okay, but only so long as we don't go all Dirty Pair on the arena and blow everything up." The others laughed at the joke and agreed to have a fun match in HDD.
"So what rules should we set up?" Vert asked. "I doubt any of us are going to give up easily."
"Knocked down three times and you're out, or don't get up after a ten count and you're out." Blanc said flatly. "Lowee boxing rules. Let's also keep combat close to the ground so we don't get blasted into the ground so hard we bounce into the stands."
Neptune suddenly laughed when Blanc said that. "I dunno, I'm sure that there's a few pervs who'd love to have Vert's boob slap them in the face or have one of us crash butt first onto them."
"Close to the ground it is." Noire said, getting a nod from Blanc and Vert while they ignored Neptune's giggling.
"So, will it just be us or should your sisters get involved as well?" Vert asked.
"I don't think that would be fair to you." Blanc pointed out, "since I doubt our sisters would fight against us."
"Let's just have it be us for this." Noire said, getting a nod from the others. She knew that if Vert had a younger sister that the conversation would have been different.
The conversation didn't last much longer after that and the four flew off to Planeptune's Basilicom as it was closer than the other Basilicoms to crash for the night.

The next day...
"Welcome everyone!" The announcer called out into the microphone. "I'm glad that you came for the final day and so are our CPUs!" There was a lot of clapping and some cheering from the crowd.
In the stands, Nepgear, Uni, Rom and Ram sat in the front row, smiling and clapping as their sisters, in HDD, came out into the center of the arena.
"And so, our CPUs have decided to put on a little exhibition match to show off for all of you."
"I hope you learned something new over the years, Neptune." Green Heart said to Purple Heart. "It would be boring if you weren't any different than when you left."
"More than you know, less than you think." Purple Heart replied in a cryptic manner.
Black Heart smirked at the others as they walked a few feet away from each other and waved at the crowds. "How about we make this interesting?"
"What?" Purple Heart asked Black Heart. "You three take me on again? Since that seems to be the only way any of you can beat me." She smirked at Black Heart's annoyed look. "I'm joking, Noire, what do you have planned?"
"First one to lose owes the others and their sisters dinner at any restaurant the winner wants."
Purple Heart chuckled at those stakes. "Well, I'll make sure that you're the first one to lose then."
"Is that offer available to anyone or just CPUs?" A new voice spoke up and the CPUs turned around to see four women standing in the shadows.
"Who are you?" White Heart asked, confusion on her face. She could sense similar confusion from Green Heart and Black Heart with some resignation from Purple Heart. "Any of you know them?"
"Nope." The other three said at the same time.
"Who are we?" One of them asked as some spot-lights were turned on to light them up, revealing that it was a young woman who was dressed in a blue outfit, blue wings on her back and had a blue barrette on, though White Heart was slightly put off by the rather... Revealing and large bust the woman had.
"You can call us Gold Third." A woman with short and spiky white hair who was wearing long pants, a vest with a fur trim covering her shoulders and, of all things, a small crown on her head.
What was off-putting about those two and the other two girls, one of whom was a short girl with blonde hair and holding a golden bazooka and another young-looking girl in a red dress, one eye behind an eye-patch with some sort of back-pack on her back, was that all of them had golden eyes that glowed faintly with power.
"Gold Third?" Black Heart asked with a raised eyebrow. "That name seems ludicrous, there are four of you."
Purple Heart sighed and tuned out the response from the one with white hair. "Let me guess, you're the new threat to Gamindustri," she held up one finger, "you just got your super powers and want to test them out," she held up a second finger, "you work for someone who wishes to do harm to Gamindustri and are the Vanguard for their forces," she held up a third finger, "you wish to over-throw the CPUs and take their place as rulers of the world," a fourth finger joined the other three, "or perhaps it's some combination of those options?" She asked while extending her thumb.
"The second one," the one in blue said, nodding at Purple Heart, who lowered her hand, and grinned. "Since you understand, shall we begin? Or are the mighty CPUs scared that they might lose?"
Purple Heart ignored the way that the other three got upset about the taunt and sighed. 'This is just like the Mole People all over again. Urgh, I hope I don't become some sicko's slave again. Once was enough.' Still, it looked like the others were all gearing up for a fight and she wasn't one to shy away from a fight, especially when it could be interesting to have some fun.
"I'll go first." Green Heart rushed forward, ignoring Purple Heart's warning, only to find the girl in the red outfit leaping into the air and the side of her backpack opened up, firing a missile that blasted Green Heart so hard she was knocked into the wall, leaving an indention in the shape of her body in it. "NGH! That hurt." She grimaced and watched as the girl with the bazooka blasted White Heart while the woman in blue fired an energy blast at Black Heart that caused her to hit the ground and roll a few feet before she slid to her knees, panting.
Purple Heart clashed her sword against the woman with white hair's sword. "Ngh, you're good, what's your name?"
"I have no interest in telling you my name." She replied cooly.
"Hello I have no interest in telling you my name, I'm Purple Heart."
"...Did she just do a dad joke?" The blonde girl asked, her voice utterly confused.
"S-Sha! Look out!" The one in blue yelled out as she watched Purple Heart pull her left hand off of her katana and hold it to the side where another sword materialized, this one looking digital.
S-Sha's eyes widened and she leaned back to avoid Purple Heart's upwards slash with her other sword, only to find Purple Heart was behind her and kicking upwards into the air. "GAH!" She cried out.
"Dark..." Purple Heart said as she jumped up into the air after S-Sha. "X-STRIKE!" She yelled and swung her swords in an X-pattern at S-Sha, sending her crashing to the ground.
"GAH!" S-Sha cried out as she hit the ground and bounded a couple of times before sliding to her feet in front of the other three. "That was rather impressive, no matter though, it's time to end this."
Purple Heart grimaced as she saw them preparing something big. 'Their stats are maxed out, aren't they?' She asked herself, grimacing. 'Yep, just like the Mole People, I REALLY hope that this won't end up like that situation.'
"Go." S-Sha said as she walked forward while the other three rushed forward.
All Purple Heart could do was cross her arms and use her shares to increase her defenses. "GAH!" She cried out as not only did she get shot with bullets, but an explosion knocked her off balance before she was kicked a few times into the air. Grimacing, she opened her eyes to see S-Sha coming in with her sword for a slash. 'I really hate unwinnable boss fights.' She thought to herself in dismay as not only was she caught in a slash, but the explosion that followed, sending her flying across the arena while her katana went flying in a different direction.
"Wow..." The one in blue looked at the downed CPUs in shock. "We won?"
"Not quite yet." S-Sha pointed at Purple Heart, who was holding a large, black sword that had some runes on it and was crackling with dark lightning. "What is that sword?" She watched as Purple Heart used the sword to force herself to her feet while pushing the tip into the ground.
Purple Heart panted and wobbled slightly. "I'm going to lose this fight anyway, so I might as well go out with a bang!" She held the sword up into the air and a pillar of light erupted from it that caused the Gold Third to take a defensive stance. Purple Heart held her hand outwards and golden energy escaped from her hand, surrounding the Gold Third in a pillar of energy that had runes surrounding them.
"This is going to hurt." The one wearing the eye-patch watched in horror as Purple Heart swung her sword down where the energy beam hit the pillar they were stuck in, destroying it from the top on the way down.
The other three CPUs could only stare in shock, since they couldn't move, as Purple Heart slammed her sword down, causing an explosion that engulfed the Gold Third.
When the explosion was over, the CPUs and the audience gasped in shock as, other than some dirt on their skin and slight damage to their clothes, the Gold Third was undamaged.
"Let's make sure to put her down this time." The one in blue said as the other three nodded and the four of them rushed at Purple Heart, intending to take her down with their next attack.
"Well... Poopie." Purple Heart muttered as she panted.
As she was knocked around and an explosion engulfed her a second time, Purple Heart groaned as she slumped against the wall, grimacing in pain. "Dammit..." Purple Heart tried to get up but was finding her body wasn't responding to her.
"NEPTUNA!"
"Oh great..." Purple Heart muttered as she raised her head, her vision going blurry. "I'm so out of it that I swear I'm hearing P-Ko."
A blinding flash of light engulfed the arena and the last thing that Purple Heart saw was S-Sha standing over her giving her a look of respect.
Yeah, you knew that was going to end up like that. Sorry if you were hoping for something different, but I checked those stats myself, they're maxed out.
