Chapter 10: Delusion Hour…
Several hours later…After School… (Neptune's POV)
It's finally done!
I stretched out my arms and yawned.
Uzume wasn't lying when she said it was boring… I thought. And on that note…
I turned to Uzume and saw that she was already packing up her things.
"Hey, Uzume!" I said, grabbing her attention. "You said you want to talk about something."
"Huh?" She said in confusion and then remembered what she said. "Oh yeah, 'that'."
There was an awkward silence between us.
"I know a place where we can talk privately." She simply said.
"Huh? Where?" I asked.
"Just follow me, okay?"
She then left the class and I followed. While I was following her, I heard whispers from left to right.
"Is that the transfer student?"
"Why is she following her?"
"I heard that the transfer student lived with her?"
"What do you mean by that?"
"I mean her last name is Tennouboshi…"
Ugh! What is wrong with this school? I thought. Never had this kind problem when I was a goddess…
Did something happen to Uzume?
We left the school and we walked for a few minutes until we stopped at…
A burger restaurant?
The restaurant building looks kinda colorful with the name "Burger House."
"We are here!" Uzume exclaimed with a huge smile on her face.
"Um where are we?" I asked her.
"One of the coolest places you can find in Heart City!" She said, still having a huge smile on her face.
Um what?
Uzume step in the restaurant and goes to the front counter. She then turned to me and asked. "Hey Nepsy, what do you want?"
"Well um…" I scanned the menu of what I like. "A cheese burger and some…Doc Tear Popper?"
Man, MAGES. would come to this restaurant and buy this drink every single day…
Uzume also ordered the exact same thing as me and paid for our food. Then we waited for a few minutes and when they called our name, we picked up our food and sat down at a table that didn't have anyone around us.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" I asked.
"Well, it's what you said this morning…" She answered as she was drinking her soda.
"You mean what I said about the school?" I also took a drink from my soda. That's a good thing I don't get drunk on carbonated drinks now…
She nodded. "Yeah, because I saw that too…"
This caught me off guard. "Wait, you mean you saw that too?"
She nodded again to confirm my suspicions.
"Last night, did you see anything weird around like 12:00?" She asked.
"Yeah," I answered and then I explained to her what I saw and her eyes widened in surprise.
"So I'm not crazy…" She said thoughtfully. "I told some people about this and they didn't believe me."
"Huh? So you're saying that this wasn't the first time you saw that?"
"Yeah pretty weird, right?" She answered as she took a bite out of her burger.
"Yeah and do you know why this is happening?" I asked as I also took a bite out of my burger. Wow, this is really good!
"Nope! Not a damn clue!" She answered. "Which is really frustrating to me."
So she doesn't know what is going on…
"Welp, I'm done with my food!" She exclaimed. "And it seems like you're done with yours?"
"Huh?" I looked down at my food and saw that I ate all of it. How did that happen? Guess I was hungry…
"Well then, you wanna head back home?" She asked.
"Sure!" We both stood up, packed up our things, threw away the trash, and walked out of the restaurant.
Meanwhile…
A girl with blue hair and a red scarf jumps from building to building, scouting around the area.
She sees two high school girls walking out of the restaurant, talking to each other. One with purple hair and one with red hair.
She looks at them with sadness in her eyes and runs off, but she looks back at the purple haired girl (which we know it's Neptune) with a look of surprise.
"Is that…"
A Few Hours Later…
When we went back, Uzume told me that we have to take care of the house before her dad gets back. So we changed into our casual clothes (also known as my white and purple parka hoodie and Uzume wore the same orange t-shirt and black shorts from before). We cleaned the house for like a few hours and when we were done, we did our homework and then later we played some games and of course I lost to her again.
*sigh* Should I "Get Gud" as some people say. I looked at the clock and it was already 11:59.
Wait, did she…?
12:00
Everything around me changed to what I saw before:
Destroyed…
I turned to Uzume to which she was still but is in shock
"So you weren't lying…" Uzume said, looking at me in absolute shock.
"Of course I wasn't lying!" I shot back at her. "There is no way I would be!"
"Yeah, whatever…" She said, scratching the back of her head. "Either way, it's going to last at least one minute. So don't worry about that…"
Oh yeah! I was wondering why it was short.
So we both waited…
And waited…
And waited…
And waited…
And waited…
And waited…
A minute has passed…
And it didn't change back…
"That's weird," Uzume said in confusion. "It's supposed to last for one minute…"
I wasn't listening to her, I felt some sort of dread and evilness crawling on my back…
The same kind I felt when I held that sword…
I shouldn't be worried about this. I thought. I mean nothing bad is going to happen…
Then all of the sudden, we both heard glass shattered upstairs…
