Ch1P3

The school bell rang, before Deidara and Yuki could shuffle off the teacher got to them both and kept them after class to discuss detention. Yuki got off without detention, because it was her first strike against her and she wasn't one to cause trouble in class, Deidara got two weeks detention. Everyone had left the class whispering about what Deidara bragged about a few even teasing Itachi about it.

He was still grumbling about when it was lunch time. Yuki sat near the window listening to the blond complain how the teacher was unfair. Her eyes were on Itachi was walking back to school; he hadn't shown up for English class. She could only guess Deidara had upset him during French class. But it was Deidara he bragged about that all the time. She should apologize when she gets a chance.

"Stop drooling un, it's pathetic yeah," Deidara said, he noticed Yuki wasn't listening anymore. He glared down at the Uchiha who was staring back at them frowning. He gave a smug grin and moved closer to Yuki.

"I'm not drooling. Just thinking over things," She spoke looking away from the window.

"Just ignore the Uchiha, he is just an angry basted because he knows I am right," he bragged again. He took a bite of his melon bread. He knew what she was thinking about.

"I could be thinking about what happened in French class," she was thinking about it. She was worried about Itachi's thoughts on her. Did he really believe Deidara's lies? If so that would mean she had less of a chance to talk to him. Not like she had a chance to start with.

Deidara frowned feeling a bit strange with the subject. It was like he felt a sense of guilt. He finished his melon bread eager to change the subject. "You know what tomorrow is?" he questioned. He was secretly hoping she got him something this year. He wouldn't mind some chocolate from her; friendship or lover.

"What?" Yuki questioned while she stared at the clouds. Did they have a test tomorrow that she complete forgot to study for. Inside she was starting to panic. She nibbled on thumbnail thinking over all the lessons she had learned. Would she be prepared for the test?

"It is Valentine's day," he said a bit too excited about the day. She finally made eye contact with him, and raised an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue.

"Is that so?" she questioned before looking away and feeling guilty. She wasn't sure why Deidara wanted to talk about such an uncomfortable subject.

He continued on holding a smug grin of his face like he subject didn't bother him, "It would be our one year anniversary," he placed his head on the desk and gave her a puppy dog expression, "Now I curious if got me anything or are all the chocolate for Itachi,"

Yuki shifted in her chair not sure what to say, glancing away from him. She hated when Deidara played this game of guilt even after he found a girl from another school. She scrunched up her skirt a bit wanting to change subject, "A small something," she admitted.

A feeling of guilt not wanting to leave her as she bit her lip, she didn't want to admit the blond that she did in fact worked hard on Itachi's gift and for Deidara something store bought. She wasn't sure she even got the ingredients right. She was going to try later tonight to prefect her chocolate.

Deidara sighed, "Should of guessed," he closed his eyes, "Lucky bastard," he leaned back on the chair and sighed.

"W-we did break up," Yuki spoke a bit pulling out her homework so she could focus on that instead on the conversation.

"You know you could make it up," Deidara pastured on.

Yuki frowned knowing where this was going, "you will not like the answer," she knew where this was and she wished he would just stop.

"How about a simple peck on the cheek," he said, "as an anniversary gift," he moved his cheek closer to Yuki, teasingly.

A soft smile appeared on her lips. She giggled lightly before rolling her eyes, "You win," she giggled. She placed a soft kiss on Deidara's cheek closing her eyes. She pushed away giggling still Deidara smirked feeling satisfied.

She heard the classroom door slam shut and Itachi walking back to his usual seat behind Yuki. He kicked Deidara's chair by accident but didn't apologize as the bell rang. Yuki could have sworn eh made eye contact with her but it was too quick to judge.

Everyone shuffled to their seats, Yuki on the other hand was finding herself staring at the geometry equation. Her mind wasn't on the homework that was soon due but she was more focused on how she was going to give her gift to Itachi. She glanced behind her, before looking forward again, tomorrow was another day.
