"AH" Aria screams as she runs away from the Vraal "Sensei you sent me to my death!"

Aria trips and falls "god damn it! this isn't a cliché horror movie!"

"Aria!"

Aria looks up to see Lloyd

"L-Lloyd!" Aria looks surprised, he helps her stand up and pulls her with him "what the heck are you doing here!"

"the others couldn't get past the barrier" Lloyd tells her as they run into a cave

"What barrier?!" Aria shouts "what are you talking about!"

Lloyd stops to catch his breath and looks back to see it didn't follow them

"Lloyd what are you doing here?" Aria asks

"Isn't it obvious?" Lloyd questions standing up "to save you"

Aria looks at him confused "Why?"

"Because.. I promised I would always protect you" Lloyd replies

"wha-"

They hear a roar

"Shit" Lloyd curses

"Oh so I can't curse but you can" Aria complains

"Not the time!" Lloyd shouts

He grabs her hand and runs through the cave. Eventually they came out on the other side, it was more like a stone tunnel then a cave. Lloyd and Aria catch their breathe once again looking behind them to see nothing.

"Lloyd" Aria takes a couple steps forward

Lloyd huffs and looks up, in front of them was a dark murky lake. Surrounding the lake was a bunch of rocks and dead trees, in the center of the lake was a bigger rock with an odd shape.

"It's like.. dead" Aria looks sad "no life anywhere"

"Well this is how it's always been" Lloyd shrugs before suddenly looking down and mumbles "but you don't remember that"

Aria looks at him "hm?"

"nothing" he tells her walking to the rim of the lake "I believe my mother called this the Lake of Tears"

"Why call it that?" Aria walks over and stands beside him

"I don't remember" Lloyd sighs sadly "I never really payed attention... I was always paying attention.." he looks at her and mumbles "to you"

Aria turns her head to look at him "Why do you keep mumbling?"

"N-no reason" Lloyd blushes "anyway.. we cant go back the way we came, he might be waiting for us out there.."

Aria looks ahead at the lake "then I guess... we go forward"

The two look at each other and nod. They start walking through the shallow lake, the water only came up to their knees.

"So, why did.. you come for me?" Aria asks "I know you said to protect me.. but why? You've been against us ninja for all this time, so why come after me? Why try to save me?"

Lloyd sighs "because you're different"

"I'm... different?" Aria looks confused "how come?"

"Dont be asking such stupid questions!" Lloyd blushes

"Ok ok sorry" Aria pouts

The two reach the center of the lake and Lloyd leans against the rock.

"Even if we make it past the lake, then what? Does this even go anywhere" Lloyd looks around "no matter where we go this place is crawling with Vraal's"

"Vraals? Is that what that creature is called?" Aria asks

Lloyd looks at her "yeah.."

Aria sighs and leans against the rock, suddenly the rock glows.

"What'd you do now!?" Lloyd shouts stepping back

"I didn't do anything!" Aria backs up as well

The rock cracks in two and a dark beam shoots into the sky. The two kids fall back into the shallow water.

Back at the bounty the ninja were stuck outside a strange barrier that lead into a dark forest. They all rush to the front of the deck as soon as they see a dark beam shoot into the sky.

"W-what is that?!" Jay shouts

"Sensei!" Kai turns to Wu

Wu smiles "ah.. she's found it"

"Found it???" The ninja stare at him in confusion

"Now we can go through the barrier" Wu says

Back with Lloyd and Aria, the kids shield their eyes from the beam until it went away. They slowly stood up to see a pair of black fans in front of them, the fans both had a purple design on them. The handles glowed a strange dark purple matter.

"woah!" Aria runs to them

"Hey idiot!" Lloyd shouts "didn't anyone ever teach you not to touch strange things!"

"Huh?" Aria looks at him confused "but.. they're mine"

"Huh?!" Lloyd looks confused "you dont remember anything about this place, how are you certain they're yours?!"

"Well... sensei told me I was looking for my weapons.. and you know I just.. feel it" Aria turns back to the floating fans

"Yeah but.." Lloyd looks uncertain

"Their's only one way to find out" Aria reaches out to the fans and they begin to pulse

She takes a deep breath before grabbing onto the fans. They let out a single pulse of dark energy sending Lloyd back into the water. Aria successfully steps back from the holding place with her fans and jumps up and down happily.

"Look I did it!" Aria cheers happily

Lloyd rubs his head and stands up "huh.. I guess they are your weapons"

They hear another roar.

"Oh no, it's not coming in is it?" Lloyd questions nervously

"Dont be afraid" Aria smiles at him "I'll protect us"

"No" Lloyd grabs her wrists "I... I said I would... I-I dont need a girl to protect me"

Aria looks confused "but Lloyd-"

"No buts... I will.." Lloyd blushes "keep my promise"

"But I dont understand" Aria says "I still have no idea what you're talking about"

Lloyd blushes "Aria I-"

A light shines down on the two and they shield their eyes.

"Aria! Lloyd!"

Aria looks up and sees the Bounty, the ninja all looking down at them.

"Hey guys!" Aria shouts happily

The ninja throw a ladder down, first Aria climbed up, then Lloyd. The Bounty then flew off back towards Ninjago. The ninja all group hugged with Aria, Lloyd stood next to Wu.

"We were so worried about you" Zane tells her

"We're glad you're safe" Cole pats her head

"Look guys I got my weapons" Aria happily showed them her fans

"Fans?" Kai questions "those aren't weapons"

"To one's blind eyes perhaps but to the royal family those fans are their greatest weapon" Wu says

"Royal family?" Jay questions "what are you talking about"

"now that you have your weapons their's only one thing left" Wu ignores Jay

"And what's that?" Aria asks

Wu sighs "your seal"
