Hey guys so I totally didn't expect a mini shipping war in my comments but I won't lie I don't mind it lol, I've still not decided what the end ship will be yet since it won't be happening within the plot of the first or second books though depending on which it ends up being it could start developing.
Since I'm reaching the end of the first book now, should I just make this fic a really long one with all of them in or should I do it in separate fics as sequels? Let me know what you guys think.
Also, Grover and Chiron totally realize she's probably a Big Three kid but Grover has no idea which one and Chiron has suspicions but not any proof.
Also, I'm laughing 'cause you guys think the scorpion was bad in terms of betrayal and I'm just here like 'Let's see what the worst possible way for me to do this to inflict maximum pain is.
So yeah that'll be fun for you guys.

The taxi journey took almost twenty minutes, and when they arrived Sally was already outside, her face pale but determined as she loaded up some bags into the car.

Percy paid the driver and helped Luke out, Sally dropping the bag she was holding as she rushed over to them both as the taxi sped away.

"Percy! Luke oh thank the Gods." she pulled them both into a hug, "Luke, honey I have some ambrosia for you. Mr Brunner said you were hurt."

"Mr Brunner-you've spoken to him?"

"He called, he said that something happened on the trip. I knew immediately it was an attack." Sally handed over a small cube of Ambrosia, which Luke took gratefully, popping it into his mouth and eating it slowly as Sally spoke.

"I told him I'm taking you both to camp-"

"But mom-"

"No buts." Sally's voice was firm, "Honey you were attacked by all three of the Kindly ones, things have gone too far now get in the car. Both of you."

Percy's shoulders slumped but she nodded, moving to the car quickly and climbing inside, followed by Luke, who was looking better already.

Soon enough Sally was in the car too and she started it up, taking a deep breath as she glanced back at the two kids in the back of the car. "We're going straight to camp okay kids? We'll figure out what to do next when we get there but I need you both to be safe."

"I know mom." Percy let out a breath, slumping in her seat-letting herself feel the full body ache from the fight. Her first real fight.

She hadn't expected to feel this shaky after it.

She felt Luke shifting next to her, his arm wrapping around her shoulder and she let out a breath, curling into his side.

"What actually happened?" Sally asked after a long moment, "Why today?"

"My dad." Luke said after a moment, "She saw him and realized that Percy isn't as clueless as she acts."

"Lord Hermes?" Sally's voice was confused, "What do you mean honey?"

"My dad showed up. I was there keeping an eye-I didn't like the idea of Percy being on a school trip with a monster-"

"Lord Hermes was outside, he clearly wanted to talk to me so I went round the side of the building."

"What did he want?" Sally glanced back at them as she drove, "Why would he take such a stupid risk."

"He had a letter from my dad." Percy shifted, "I almost forgot about that in all of the chaos." she pulled the letter out of her pocket, sliding her finger along the glued down flap to open it."

"From your father?" Sally frowned, "Something's happening isn't it?"

"Lord Hermes said that my uncle's favorite weapon's been stolen and he's blaming my dad."

"And if they find out about you.." Sally shook her head, a grim look on her face, "Wonderful they'll blame you for stealing it."

"Exactly."

"This is insane. We have to talk to someone about all of this when we get to Camp."

After that they slipped into a tense uncomfortable silence as they drove-and as they drove a storm blew in-the sky turning dark while Percy opened up the letter, leaning away from Luke slightly so that she could read it.

My dearest daughter,

No mention of her name-her dad probably worried that someone could intercept Hermes and get their hands on the letter, even now he was trying to protect her-it might not work well but he was trying.

I have done my best to shield you from my brothers eyes, but I fear that soon I will no longer be able to hide you the way I have been. I am sure my nephew will tell you in any case, but my brothers Master Bolt has been stolen during the Winter Solstice, and he insists that it is my doing, in some attempt to unseat him and take over as the ruler of the Gods.

I assure you my child that I have done no such thing, I have no wish to rule the Gods, but my brother refuses to listen to reason, he has decided it was me and he refuses to be swayed by my words. I fear that a war looms on the horizon, especially as we Gods cannot steal each others weapons on our own. If I were to have done what my brother accuses me of I would have needed a young hero, a Demigod child such as yourself.

It angers me that his suspicious as to your existence has come about because of someone else's actions but there is little you can do, and now that my youngest brother suspects I have a child so does my eldest brother. And they will both come for you, they will both send monsters after you.
I know you wish to stay with your mother and your brother but it is no longer safe. You must go to camp and the safety it provides-hide yourself for
as long as you can amongst them. I will not claim you unless there is no other choice.

I fear you may need to go on a Quest to find my brothers Bolt to prevent all out war-it frightens me to think of you in such danger but it may be the only way to protect you when they do at last realize who you are.

If you do then you must speak to the Oracle. My young nephew Ares has pointed out that the only one who will benefit here is my eldest brother, but if you can avoid him then please my child, do so. I don't wish for you to be in his realm or even near him.

Remember sweet daughter, you are a child of the sea and the sea provides for it's own. I will always be with you and always love you.
Once you have read this letter you must destroy it-if it is found on your person your parentage will be revealed to all who wish to know, and that is the last thing you want.

Be safe.

Your father, Posiedon.

Percy swallowed hard, blinking back her tears as she stared at the letter before she folded it up, ignoring the questioning look Luke gave her as she slowly shredded it, ripping it into tiny pieces before opening the car window and tossing them out into the rain.

What would wait for her when she reached camp? Would she have to go on a quest, would she have to face one of her uncles?

Percy felt herself tensing, staring up at the sky out of the car window, clutching the sword Mr Brunner had thrown to her like it was a lifeline when she finally spoke.

"Mom. Luke?"

"Yes honey?" Sally glanced back at her, "What is it?"

"Don't tell them who my father is."

"The letter?" Luke raised an eyebrow, "Sephie-"

"He's trying to protect me. I figure it's probably best to listen to him right?"

"Of course." Sally nodded, "I'll say he never told me he was a God and he gave a fake name. As far as they need to know I figured out about you because of Luke."

Luke nodded "Your secrets safe with me Sephie." he wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her into his side protectively.

Percy was just starting to doze-the long day having taken it's toll her her, physically and mentally, while the rain pounded on the roof of the car and thunder boomed outside when it happened.

One second they were driving and the next there was a blinding crash, a boom that made Percy's body shake with the volume of it and the car almost seemed to explode.

Percy screamed, she could hear her mom and Luke screaming too, her ears were ringing.

There were no words to explain the sensations-she wouldn't even try to.

When she came too enough to focus on what had happened she was being dragged out of the car by Luke, her mom already scrambling out.

She managed to snatch up her sword as he did-and she saw that they'd swerved into a ditch-and the roof was cracked open from a lightning strike- she tilted her head up, glaring at the sky as she stumbled in Luke's arms, forcing back the urge to start screaming obscenities at her insane uncle for his attempt to murder her.

She heard a roar and turned her head-and she felt the blood draining from her face.

It was hard to see in the dark and rain, but the large form- her mother spoke, voice shaking.

"Pasiphae's son," she whispered the words, voice horrified. "Oh Gods... we need to get to the border."

"Where-"

"Just there." Sally nodded towards the nearest hill, "We need to get to that tree."

Percy nodded, grabbing her mom's hand and Lukes as they took off.

All three of them were in fairly rough condition-but the rain was helping Percy, the water giving her energy, strength that she didn't always possess.

She glanced back, forcing back a panicked whimper at the sight that met her.

The Minotaur was catching up with them.

It would reach them before they could reach the border.

Percy let go of her mom and Luke's hands.

"You two keep running-"

"Percy no-"Sally's voice was horrified, and Percy turned her face to look at Luke.

"Luke look after mom for me."

"Sephie-"

"Do you trust me?"

"Of course I do but-"

"Then trust me!" Percy yelled the words as she turned around and took off towards the Minotaur, gripping her sword tightly as it charged towards her.
She could hear her mom screaming as Luke dragged her towards the border, and she blocked it out as she hastily made a plan-it wasn't a good plan but it was a plan.

She was faster, it was big yes but she was small and nimble-Luke had spent a lot of time teaching her how to use her size to her advantage.
When she was close enough she was crouching and then leaping, pushing herself up into the air as high and far as she could, flipping as she did-much as she'd done with one of the Furies.

Of course it didn't do nearly as much damage to the Minotaur as it had to the Fury, but it was satisfying, burying her sword into the monsters back, clinging to the hilt, her weight yanking it downwards causing the monster to roar in pain, thrashing from side to side.

She managed to keep her grip despite being thrown around like a rag doll and she planted her feet on the monsters back, yanking the sword backwards and out of it's flesh and propelling herself backwards as hard as she could.

She landed with a thud and then she was on her feet and sprinting towards the Hill.

The Minotaur was in pain, distracted-unfortunately not that distracted because it soon located her again and rushed at her, Percy ducked under the swinging fists, slashing at the monsters knee, making it stumble-and when it stumbled she stabbed the knee again before dancing backwards-she should have looked where she was going though because a moment later the Minotaur hand was curling around her legs, scooping her up as it stood, so that she was dangling upside down.

She lashed out with the sword-glad she'd managed to keep a good grip on it, slicing at the hand holding her-she let out a disgusted noise as she sliced through two of the monsters fingers-it dropped her of course and she didn't manage to twist herself-she landed hard, head hitting the ground, her head spinning-it felt like it had been cracked open as she opened her eyes, her body felt like it was made of lead-she couldn't move she felt too heavy.

But the Minotaur was still moving towards her and Percy felt panic rip through her as she lifted her head, ignoring the waves of dizziness as she searched for the sword.

Thankfully it hadn't landed too far away and after scrambling backwards she managed to curl her fingers around the hilt-and when the Minotaur leaned over her she moved, gripping tightly and thrusting the sword upwards, stabbing it through the monsters chest.

There was a moment of stunned silence, and then the monster disintegrated, turning to yellow ash above her-she coughed loudly, arm flying up to cover her mouth to stop herself from inhaling much of it.

She stayed like that for a long moment, sword thrust up through a no longer there monsters chest, her other arm covering half of her face.

The world was spinning around her and she managed to move her arm and turn her face to the side as she heaved-she hadn't even eaten her lunch so there wasn't much to come out in any case, and she quickly pressed down on the whole pearl that was in the center of the neck of the armor, and it shrunk back into the necklace as she shifted her head, staring up at the sky.

She could hear people calling her name, then there was a shadow over her-Grover was there, dropping to his knees next to her a panicked look on his face.

"Percy-"

"Grover, calm yourself-"

"Is she alive?" that voice came from a girl who was around the same age as Percy, with gray eyes and blonde princess curls.

"Annabeth now is not the time." and that was Mr Brunner.. or maybe not.

Percy blinked slowly, her vision was somewhat blurry but she was pretty sure that she wasn't imagining the fact that her ex latin teacher was half horse.

She let out a somewhat giddy giggle-she was pretty sure that she was going into shock, led there on the ground bloody and bruised but alive after facing down the freaking Minotaur.

And her teacher was a Centaur.

She wouldn't claim to know for sure, but she knew of one Centaur who trained heroes-who her father had told her mother was pretty much in charge of Camp Half Blood.

"Your name's not Mr Brunner is it?" she let her head drop back into the damp earth. "You're Chiron. You're the Chiron." she giggled. "Bet you hated it when I spelled your name wrong in Latin classes."

"We need to get you to the infirmary Percy." Mr Brunner-Chiron's- voice was filled with concern.

"Chiron she's the one she has to-"

"Not now Annabeth." then Chiron was leaning down and she was being lifted.

That was all well and good of course, but Percy had been through an awful lot over the course of the day, and currently her body was healing from being tossed around by Mrs Dodds, from being in a car struck by lightning and from being tossed around by the Minotaur, and the rain might have helped somewhat but it hadn't healed her completely.

The pain that ripped through her when Chiron picked her up was so intense that instead of yelling in pain, instead of screaming until her voice was gone she simply passed out, her body unable to cope.
