Raven: The Ice Queen.
Day 12.
Raven arrived at camp to watch the remaining 13 warriors prepare themselves for today's trials.
" Previously, in yesterday's trials, the Penguins did amazingly well in the dark cave, collected all four crystals, bringing their total to 33, the Wolves were captured in the cage traps but all four of them made it out with four crystals, bringing their total to 22, the Seals were also amazingly well in the pedestals, getting all four crystals, bringing their total to 42 and the Polar Bears were the only team not completely successful yesterday, in fact, they did horrible, they only collected one crystal in leap of faith, but two warriors perished, Bethany and Michael, and Ben decided to bring back Michael and leave Bethany, feeling she wasn't a good team leader, and their total stands at 21, putting them in last place, only four more trials for each team to do, and the polar bears have to do so, in a team of two, while the penguins still have three warriors, and the wolves and seals have four each", said Raven.
Day 12.
Team: Penguins.
Color: Blue
Members: 3.
Leader: Isabel.
Vice Leader: Dominic.
Other: Bridget.
Crystals: 33.
Challenge: Riddle Path.
Isabel, Dominic and Bridget stood at one side of the riddle path, at the other side are three pouches, two brown, one purple.
Raven approached them.
" Warriors, this is the riddle path, a challenge that'll test your knowledge, the book will give you a riddle, using the letters on the ground, you must spell out the answer correctly", said Raven.
Once he left the group, Isabel, opened the book, showing the riddle.
I can escape from your lips,
I can escape from certain objects,
If the objects are used correctly,
I can be a sound of beauty.
What am I.
Day 12.
Team: Polar Bears.
Color: White.
Members: 2.
Warriors: Michael and Ben.
Crystals: 21.
Challenge: Gypsy's tower.
Ben and Michael stood at the threshold of a tall tower, Raven approached them.
" Warriors, welcome to the wizards tower, this challenge once again tests your knowledge, one at a time, each of you will go in the tower, and meet the gypsy inside, she'll give each of you a riddle, should you answer the riddle correctly, she'll reward you two crystals, now this is a non elimination challenge, so you'll both see another day, but, should you answer your riddle incorrectly, you'll leave empty handed", said Raven, she then left the group, and Michael went into the tower first.
At the top, he sat down at a table, where the gypsy summoned her crystal ball to present his riddle.
A snail tries to climb up a 30 ft post,
every day he climbs up 4 feet,
every night he fall back 3 feet,
how long will it take for him to reach the top.
Michael thought about it then answered, " 27 days, he's one ft higher each day, in 26 days he'll be at 26 ft, and at day 27 he'll go up four ft and reach the top".
The gypsy then gave Michael two red crystals, and Michael then left the tower.
Ben was next, after Michael left, Ben went in, he sat down by the table, and the gypsy presented the next riddle.
A group of demons walked down a path,
Two were at front,
Two were at back,
Two were at the left,
Two were at the right,
How many are there.
Ben nearly got fooled and said 8, but he thought about it, and made his final answer, " 4, they walk in a square group".
The gypsy then gave Ben the last two gems, and he left the tower, the polar bears now have 25 gems.
Day 12.
Team: Seals.
Color: Purple.
Members: 4.
Leader: Samantha.
Vice Leader: Thomas.
Others: Charlie and Charlotte.
Crystals: 42
Challenge: Archery.
Samantha, Thomas, Charlie and Charlotte stood in front of an archery field, each warrior has three arrows.
Raven then approached them.
" Warriors, welcome to archery, each of you have three arrows, three chances to fire a perfect aim at your target, every time you hit the target, you'll be given a score out of ten, each warrior much get a score of 15 out of 30 to earn their team a crystal", said Raven, he then left the group.
One by one, they took it in turns firing their shots.
Samantha fired her first shot, hit the target and scored a 10.
Thomas fired his first shot, hit the target and scored an 8.
Charlie fired his first shot, but missed the target.
Charlotte fired her first shot, hit the target and scored a 6.
Samantha fired her second shot, hit the target and scored a 3, bringing her total to 13.
Thomas fired his second shot, hit the target, and scored a 6, bringing his total to 14.
Charlie fired his second shot, hit the target and scored a 6, bringing his total to 6.
Charlotte fired her second shot, hit the target, and scored a 6, bringing her total to 12.
Samantha fired her final shot, hit the target, earning a score of 7, bringing her total to 20.
Thomas fired his final shot, hit the target, earning a score of 9, bringing his total to 23.
Charlie fired his final shot, hit the target, earning a score of 4, bringing his total to 10.
Charlotte fired her final shot, hit the target, earning a score of 2, bringing her total to 14.
Samantha and Thomas succeeded while Charlie and Charlotte failed.
The four warriors left the challenge, with two crystals, bring their total to 44.
Day 12.
Team: Wolves.
Color: Grey.
Members: 4.
Leader: Oliver, (Revived).
Vice leader: Tabitha.
Other: William.
Revived: Sophie.
Crystals: 22.
Challenge: Thrall threads.
Oliver, Tabitha, Sophie and William stood next to a trench, inside the trench are threads with bells on them, at the other side of the trench is a table containing four brown pouches.
Raven approached them.
" Warriors, welcome to the most difficult challenge of all, the thrall threads, what you must do is make you may to the other side of the trench, to claim your gems, without disturbing the demons, should any of the bells ring, the warrior responsible will perish, this challenge tests your agility, patience, and concentration, I believe communication is also required", said Raven.
Once he left the group, the team began their challenge.
" I'll go first", said Oliver.
" Are you sure", said Tabitha.
" Yes", said Oliver.
And so he entered the trench, keeping an eye on the bells and threads, luckily with his teams help, he could make it across, once he was halfway, he continued.
" Good job Oliver, you're halfway there", said Sophie.
" Mind your head", said William.
Oliver then made it closer to the end, each step he took, and with one last step, he made it out of the trench and grabbed the first bag.
" Can I go next", said Sophie.
" Are you sure", said William.
" Yeah I'm sure, I'm risking myself anyway, I might as well get it over and done with", said Sophie.
And so, Sophie entered the trench, although nearly hitting the threads at first, continued walking.
" Be careful Sophie, you nearly got the slip there", said Tabitha.
Sophie then continued onward, and was halfway there.
" I'm going to crawl underneath, to see if I can get through all of them", said Sophie.
" Do what you must, but there's one at the end you'll have to walk over", said Oliver.
And so, Sophie began crawling underneath the threads, and was nearly at the end.
" Okay Sophie, you're going to have to stand up now", said Oliver.
And so, Sophie got up slowly, and moved her feet over the last thread and made it out of the trench, grabbing the second pouch and joining Oliver.
Both Oliver and Sophie once again live to fight another day.
Back with the Penguins, they have just began reading the riddle.
I can escape from your lips,
I can escape from certain objects,
If the objects are used correctly,
I can be a sound of beauty.
What am I.
" Who wants to go for it", said Isabel.
" I will, I know what the answer is", said Bridget.
" Do you, what is it", said Dominic.
" Music, the objects the riddle is referring to are instruments", said Bridget.
" Are you sure though", said Isabel.
" Yes", said Bridget.
" Okay then", said Isabel.
Bridget then stood on the first letter, M, she was still standing, she then stood on letters U and S, so far, so good.
" I was right", said Bridget.
" Good job Bridget", said Dominic.
" Thanks", said Bridget.
She then stood onto the fourth tile, the letter I, and finally the letter C, and then reached the other side of the path.
Dominic and Isabel followed suit, and soon, all three warriors grabbed the pouches, and left the four gems, bringing them to a total of 37.
Back with the wolves, Oliver and Sophie made it across the thrall threads, meanwhile, Tabitha and William are still at the entrance, waiting for their turn.
" I'll go next", said William.
" Are you sure", said Tabitha.
" Yes, you take the time to relax yourself before you enter", said William.
And so, William entered the threads, he did the same tactic as Sophie, crawling underneath the threads, and then he was halfway.
" Tabitha, once you enter the threads, crawl underneath as well, it's more easier, but wait till I'm out", said William.
And so, William proceed onward, getting closer to Oliver and Sophie, he was nearly to the end.
And then at the end, he had to stand up to walk across the final thread.
Thankfully he made it out of the trench, and grabbed the third bag and joined Sophie and Oliver.
" Good job Will", said Sophie.
" Thanks", said William.
" Okay Tabitha, it's your turn, it'd be best if you did do the crawling tactic, because that apparently worked", said Oliver.
And so, Tabitha entered the threads, she began to crawl underneath, until she was halfway, but then she got back up.
" Wait, what are you doing, don't move, there's a thread just above you, go back down", said Oliver.
And Tabitha listened to Oliver, and continued crawling, and she was near the end.
" Okay, now you can go back up, but slowly", said Oliver.
And so, Tabitha began to stand up, and then moved over the last thread and made it across, grabbing the last pouch and rejoining the team.
The wolves leave the trench with all four warriors still with them, and with 4 crystals to add, they have a total of 26.
The wolves, Oliver, Tabitha, Sophie and William rested at camp, Raven then approached them.
" Warriors, you have been successful in making it across the threads, I see there was a clever tactic used, what was it", said Raven.
" When in the trench, we crawl underneath the threads until we reach the end", said Oliver.
" Tabitha, you got up too early and nearly hit the threads, if Oliver didn't warn you, you would've perished, what made you thought about getting up too early", said Raven.
" I sort of panicked a little bit, and thought it wouldn't work, I am thankful that Oliver stopped me from making a huge mistake", said Tabitha.
" Another day has gone by, the seals still lead with 44 crystals, the Penguins still claim second with 37, the wolves have 26 crystals, and the Polar bears are behind with 25, 13 warriors still remain, and only three more days till the end of the trials", said Raven.
Next time on Raven the ice queen, the penguins test their accuracy in the stepping stones, the polar bears test their agility in the stepping stones, the seals test their communication in blind mans bluff, and the wolves test their speed in the maze, 9 days remain till the end of the quest.
