Inportent note at the end!! Be sure to actually read it please!
Bonnie shifted uncomfortably.
"Uh, Freddy?" he asked slowly as he helped the blind bear sit down.
"Yeah?" said Freddy leaning back in crossing his arms.
"I think somethings wrong with Spring…" he said slowly walked towards the hare.
"How so?" asked Freddy tilting his head. Bonnie squatted next to the golden animatronic; he wasn't making any sort of sound. No wiring, no creaking, no buzzing, nothing.
"He's not making sounds…" said Bonnie kneeling down next to the motionless animatronic.
"Um, he's sleeping Bonnie. Why would he be making sound?" asked Freddy leaning forward.
"No, he's like not even making mechanical sounds…Like…Like he's dead….." said Bonnie, starting to freak out.
"Go get Goldie." Said Freddy immediately and Bonnie stood there, panicking.
"Go!" yelled Freddy and Bonnie ran to get the golden bear.
Bonnie had no idea where the older bear was so he ran around the house for a solid minute looking for Goldie. He finally ran into him as he ran to look us stairs.
"Whao!" said Goldie catching Bonnie as he almost trampled the bear.
"Spring!" he yelled in Goldie's face who took a steep back.
"Calm down, what's wrong?" asked Goldie putting his hands on his shoulder.
"He won't wake up!" said Bonnie grabbing Goldie's hand and dragging him down the stairs.
"What do you mean?" asked Goldie as Bonnie almost ripped his other arm off pulling the golden bear down and into the room. Bonnie waited as Goldie looked over at Spring, who had lost the hydraulic pressure in his back, was now had gone completely limp.
"Oh my God." said Goldie rushing up to the hare, and kneeling down next to him. He looked really worried, which worried Bonnie even more.
"What's wrong with him?" asked Freddy reaching out in Bonnie's direction and he grabbed his hand. Bonnie helped Freddy up but the brown bear kept holding on to his hand, Bonnie knew that the brown bare hated when he lost control of, well anything, so he let the blind bear squeeze his hand.
"I…I don't know..." said Goldie shaking Spring a little, no response.
"Is he…gone?" asked Bonnie and he felt Freddy shove him. Goldie looked at him and sighed, rubbing his head in frustration.
"I don't think so, I did at first but… there's no reason for him to just… Ahhg!" said Goldie putting his hands up to his head.
"I don't know!" he said pulling his hand down and looking at Spring. He looked at Bonnie, and then back at Spring.
"Wait…" he said slowly and pulled Spring on his back, who flopped to the ground, hitting it with a loud thunk, Bonnie flinched a little. Goldie patted Springs back until he seemingly found something; he pulled off the fur to show a little panel. He opened it and switched something on. Spring jerked up right and started moving around robotically waving his hand slowly.
"Hi Kids, welcome to the show! My name is Spring Bonnie and I love-" his voice cut of and he stopped and put a hand to his head.
"What the heck." Said Spring looking around and Goldie hugged him. He looked more than a bit confused but hugged his counterpart anyway.
"What happened?" he asked scratching his head as Goldie pulled away.
"You shut down…" said Goldie tilting his head, and Spring stared at him.
"I did? Huh, weird…" Said the hare sniffing and shifting his position and looking off.
"You can't shut yourself off, there always has to be another person," said Goldie, "it's fiscally impossible…" finished Goldie standing up. Spring looked off, in thought. Bonnie glanced at Freddy, who looked just as confused as Bonnie felt.
"I think it has to do with being old and rusty." Said Spring looking up at them from the floor.
"And yes, I know I'm old, so don't you dare make jokes about it." He said crossing his arms, and leaning back. Goldie glanced at Bonnie and sighed.
"I need to talk to you Spring." Said Goldie fixing his bowtie, Spring sighed and struggled up on his feet, he leaned against the wall for support. Bonnie nervously took a step forward, ready to rush up and catch him if he fell. Freddy let go of his hand and sat back down.
"Fine." Said Spring rolling his eyes and, using the wall as a support, walked over to Goldie.
"Bonnie, Freddy, can you gather up every one. I think it's well past 'lights out'." Said Goldie and Bonnie nodded. He watched as Goldie helped Spring up the stairs.
"Is he going to be okay?" asked Freddy, he looked down at the brown bear and blinked.
"I think so, although he seems tired still…" said Bonnie slowly.
"I would bet, the poor guy." Said Freddy and he helped him up again.
"I'm tired and I barely did anything today." Said the bear laughing as they walked off to find the others, and hopefully get the toys to sleep.
Spring painfully walked with Goldie to the kitchen, he sat down in one of the chairs and stared out the window, at the night sky. He could feel his partners gaze on him and he shifted uncomfortably.
"What happened." Asked Goldie sitting down opposite if him, he shrugged and looked off.
"How am I supposed to know? I was sleeping and then I was awake with everyone staring at me like I was a lunatic." He said crossing his arm, the golden bear sighed and rubbed his face.
"Are you trying to be difficult?" he asked and Spring growled.
"How would you like it if someone woke you up the minute you get to sleep without the worry of rain coming and rusting more of you, hoping you don't just die the next day with four little kids running around trying to learn things that I have no idea how to teach them! Trying to tell them about a life I barely remember, trying to comfort them from a pole I couldn't get down from for seventeen years…" He and looked down and rubbed his face, I can't… Agg, poor Goldie, he gets the blunt of my insanity… he thought miserably.
"I'm sorry; it's kinda been a long…day…." He said slowly and stared at the table, not wanting to look up at his counterpart. There was a long silence where all he could hear was the squeaking of his gears trying to keep him upright. He eventually glanced up at Goldie, who had been quite way longer than usual, he was staring at him with so many emotions in his eyes Spring had no idea what he was thinking.
"I'm so sorry…" whisrped Goldie looking down and Spring tilted his head.
"No, I shouldn't have burst out at you like that." said Spring sighing and slumped in the table. Goldie shook his head.
"I should have helped you; I should have been there…" he said and Spring perked up, What? He stared at the bear, who looked at him.
"I-I- should have-" he said but count finish, Spring stared at him not sure what to do.
"It's alright, there's no way you could have come, and it's not your fault…" he said slowly wishing he could walk over to his friend but, he was pretty sure if he tried to move he might lose any of the energy he had left.
"I'm so, so sorry…" he said and Spring shook his head.
"I shouldn't have yelled at you anyway, it's over and were here now and that's what counts!" He said patting Goldie's hand.
"What where you going to ask me?" asked Spring trying to change the subject. Goldie looked away and took a deep breath.
"How did you shut off? It's literally impossible for you to do that by yourself." Said Goldie sighing and rubbing his face, Spring looked off in thought.
"It did happen once or twice before. Thankfully the toys knew what to do…" he said slowly, trying to think of how it happened.
"I think every time I'm sleeping, so I might just be broken, I don't really have a good explanation." He said laying his head on his arms and gazing tiredly up at his golden partner. Goldie nodded and they sat there, he looked down at the table, he sniffed and waited for Goldie to say something.
"That's okay… It really scared me. I thought you were gone for a second." He said and Spring smiled.
"If I was gonna go anywhere I would want to go in a much cooler way then sleeping." Said Spring chuckling a little, Goldie smiled.
"Hopefully Mr. Carter can fix us soon… That might get rid of your glitch." Said Goldie looking upstairs, where the human had supposedly gone to sleep. Spring slumped and closed his eyes, and he felt Goldie's hand on his shoulder.
"Do you want to try and go downstairs of just stay here?" asked the bear and Spring took a breath.
"I'll chill here if that's okay…" he said letting his head sit in his arms, Goldie patted him and walked away. Spring stared out the window as Goldie turned the light out and said goodnight. He stared at the twinkling light and sighed. I remember when I used to look up at the stared with Michael, I wonder what he's doing now… thought Spring closing his eyes, I hope he's moved on, and I didn't hold him back He slowly nodded off, into the world of wonderful dreams.
