Dear Jason,

Thank you for the letter! What you said was deep, you're not wrong though. What made you think about that?

Btw, to answer your question, Sock is a little bit of everything, but I suspect he's mostly Siamese. I don't know if you still have that picture of him that I sent you a long time ago, so I sent another. He's literally my child.

Are you doing anything for Christmas? My dad planned a road trip to New York for New Years, but I think it's basically just for work.

Anyways, good luck with midterms! I don't know if you've already finished them by the time you're reading this, but really, who needs to know the names of every leg muscle in real life?

-Piper

It wasn't any secret that Piper hated surprises (unless she was conducting them of course). Her dad knew this, her friends knew this, so she had never gotten a surprise party of any sorts. And that was how she liked it. But, she was the master at surprises, and no one ever suspected her of being the mastermind behind birthday parties, halloween pranks and more.

So really, it wasn't unexpected that she would be "surprising" Jason as well. His birthday was coming soon, and Piper planned on hitching a ride to San Francisco for six hours. And that's where she found herself now. Stuck in a car with her obnoxious Aunt Carol, along with her terrible driving.

But it did give her time to think. She glanced at the cardboard box wrapped in tissue paper, that inside held a small "surprise" for Jason. She was nearly completely positive that he would like his gift, after all, she had put a lot of thought into it.

She stuffed it at the bottom of her bag in the backseat, as to not ruin it with coffee or something (which she was very capable of doing) and nodded of to the sounds of racing highway and Aunt Carol's terrible 80's music.

*time jump*

San Francisco. One of the loveliest cities in California. Piper had never visited, yet here she was.

Piper bounded out of the car, and paused in her steps, looking at the huge house she had stepped upon. No wonder Jason hated it, everything in sight was perfect. A perfectly manicured lawn, a perfect front porch, a perfectly spotless car in the driveway, and perfectly lonely and depressing.

She shook her head and regained some of her previous enthusiasm. Looking at the parcel in her hands, she smiled weakly. She was nervous, obviously, because she was finally meeting the boy who wrote her letters, and was finally meeting the boy with deep thoughts, was finally meeting the boy by the name of Jason. She mentally calmed herself, and walked up the stone steps leading up to the front door.

And then she rang the doorbell.

A/N: Hello everyone! I know it's been a long time since the last update, but here I am. Also, happy Halloween if you celebrate it, happy autumn if you don't!

Quickly, I want to thank it's-prongsie, for always leaving a lovely review throughout my entire story!

That's it, have a great day!
