With the sun dawning over the horizon, the citizens awoke with a sudden splash of water over their bodies. Many of them were confused as to why they ended up in random places in the town, especially the ones climbing on the water tower. But though their heads were hurting and their memories were foggy, they still remembered why it all happened.
Candace was standing by the broken ledge of the balcony, staring at the sunrise while trying to comprehend her memories. The last thing she remembered was shoving her friend out of the way of a zombie. She ran a hand through her damp hair and sighed to herself, "Well, this was an eventful night."
"Oh, hey there, Candace." Vanessa said as she approached the younger girl. "Thanks for saving me back there. You okay?"
Candace leaned back in a 'cool' manner, attempting to act indifferent about the situation. "Oh, yeah, totes. Just hangin' out, rockin' the wet lo—"
But then she stopped herself, realizing there was no point in keeping up that silly facade anymore. "Oh, who am I kidding? Look at me." She said, gesturing to her wet and messy appearance.
"Hm, well, you're cool under pressure." Vanessa replied, "You were pretty brave back there."
"Thanks," She smiled, "You weren't so bad yourself!"
Vanessa chuckled, "Thanks. It was good hanging with you. We should do it again sometime. Preferably without the threat of a zombie apocalypse."
"I'm not making any promises!" Doof chimed in as he walked over to the girls. He wasn't really soaked like they were, since he had avoided the splashes of water. Not like it mattered since he was immune to the contagion, anyway.
Candace smiled at the two. "Well, see ya around!" She said as she walked away. She left the apartment, taking one last look at the wreck in the lair. "Yeesh, that's gonna be an expensive fix."
Vanessa looked up at her father and linked an arm with him, "Come on, Dad. Let's go play a game of Kleptocracy."
"That's my girl." He grinned. The two walked towards the direction of the startle space, but stopped midway when they heard an animal groaning. They turned and saw the familiar platypus agent laying on the floor, regaining consciousness again.
"Perry the Platypus!" Doof said, quickly walking over to kneel down to his nemesis, "You okay?"
Perry coughed up a bit of water and gave him a thumbs-up, forcing a small smile. His head hurt like hell, but at least he wasn't a deformed clone of Doof anymore.
"Well, that's a relief." Doof sighed, glancing up at his daughter, "I'm just glad you're both okay. I sort of lost it after you guys turned into me. It was freaky, man! Especially you, Perry the Platypus!"
Vanessa laughed a little while Perry rolled his eyes in embarrassment. "Hey Perry, ya wanna join us for Kleptocracy? We could use a third player."
"Yeah, it'll be nice to relax after a long night!" Doof said to the platypus, "And I promise I won't cheat! ...that much."
Perry smiled softly at the two and nodded, figuring it wouldn't hurt to catch a break. It had been some damned night, he could use the relaxation and quality time with what he considered his second family. Vanessa was nice to him, and when push came to shove, Heinz was actually a pretty good frenemy.
Doof held out a hand, in which Perry gladly took, then led him and Vanessa over to the startle space.

Phineas groaned and fluttered his eyes open, feeling the wetness soak into his rubber armor. He had no idea just how long he was out for, but seeing the morning sunlight, he assumed for at least a few minutes. He then gasped suddenly, sitting up, "Isabella!"
He stood up and shook away the hesitance he was feeling. Climbing up to the top of the tower, he took many deep breaths. He still couldn't believe the last thing Isabella had said to him, and he never even got to finish what he was going to tell her. At least now he'd be able to think properly, and not be pressured to respond so quickly with the threat of the apocalypse.
"Isabella!" He called out after reaching the top, seeing the drenched girl sitting up against the vortex sprayer, seemingly lost in her thoughts. But she snapped out of it upon hearing his voice. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay, I guess." She answered, slowly standing up and walking over to him. "The vortex sprayer must've delayed or something 'cause I remember it wasn't working before I was infected."
"You were infected?!" Phineas asked, earning a nod from her. He sighed and rubbed his head, "Well, at least it worked and we're all okay now."
"Yeah..." Isabella said, unconsciously rubbing up and down her forearm.
A brief silence fell between the two as they tried to find the right words to say. Isabella was embarrassed, scared, excited, insecure, and confused all at once. She remembered Phineas was in the middle of responding to her confession, but she couldn't remember what exactly he was trying to get out. She just prayed that he wasn't rejecting her. But if he was, at least she finally found the courage to tell him.
Phineas bit his lip, looking down at his side. He took notice to the Emotional Bravery patch covering the hole on his sleeve. He blushed and pulled it off, handing it to her. "Oh, here. You've earned this."
Isabella stared at the patch for a moment, shaking her head. Though she did earn it, she didn't want it anymore. She knew she was brave enough, she didn't need a patch to show it off. "No, you keep it."
"Wait, really? Why?" He asked confused. Isabella never missed an earned patch opportunity.
She smiled, "I want you to have it. Keep it as some sort of memento. I might've been the one to earn it, but you deserve to have it."
Phineas grinned, placing the patch back on the rip. "Thanks, Isabella." He said, then took a soft breath, scratching the back of his neck, "Look, I uh— I never got to finish what I was saying back there."
"Phineas, it's okay." She said, "I understand if you don't feel the same, I won't be hurt. I just hope that you'll still be my friend 'cause honestly, I'm lucky to have you in my life any way I can."
"Isabella..."
"And I know you're probably weirded out—"
"Isabella!"
The girl stopped, realizing she was about to ramble. "What?" She asked nervously, yet still smiling.
Phineas took a step closer to her, gently placing his gloved hands on her cheeks. Isabella didn't have a second to think before he pressed his lips to hers, sending shivers down her spine.
Her eyes went wide, but then slowly shut themselves after comprehending that this was real, not just some fantasy from Phineas-land. She put her hands on his and melted into the kiss, feeling her heart practically bursting from her chest. Not only was she brave enough to confess her true feelings, but he was brave enough to confess his with actions rather than words. He truly did deserve the Emotional Bravery patch.
The kiss lasted a few seconds before they reluctantly pulled apart, staring into each other's eyes. Isabella was grinning and blushing like crazy, which made him laugh a little to himself.
"Guess that says how you feel." She murmured, feeling his thumbs rub her cheeks.
"Yes, yes it does." He nodded. "Look at us, being brave for each other and the town."
"Yeah, no kidding!" She laughed.
"So I see you two are doing alright."
The two smiled and turned to see the green-haired boy climbing up to them. "Ferb!" Phineas said with relief, holding Isabella's hand in his. "You're okay!"
"Yes, and it appears everyone else is, too." Ferb said, looking over the town.
The three stared at the sunrise, sighing heavily. It had been quite a rough night, but at least they made it. Odd as it may seem, if it weren't for the chaos, Isabella would've never known that Phineas felt the same, and she never would've had the bravery to tell him.
Even though the night had been hell, everyone had lived to see the heavenly morning.
The End
Stacy scoffed, turning the TV off, "Pfft! Horror movies. Scary, but so unbelievable."
