"I'm waiting." Olivia said, with her arms crossed, leaning against the window.
Serenity continued to chip her nail polish. Savannah threw her blanket. She was not getting herself in trouble.
"I have to pee." She said, walking past Olivia.
"No you don't." Olivia said, blocking her path.
Savannah shifted her legs and looked at Olivia with puppy dog eyes. Olivia moved out of the way.
"Start talking Serenity."
"I don't know anything."
"Look at me."
Serenity could play Karen like a fiddle. Her tactics didn't work with Olivia. She was her match, and she didn't know how to win against Olivia Grant. Serenity looked up and made eye contact.
Olivia smiled, "Karen told you something. What is it?"
Serenity continued to give Olivia the silent treatment.
"Okay, I'll ask the questions, and you don't look away from me."
"I know Karen was out drinking. Was Savannah drinking with Karen?"
Serenity shook her head no.
"Why is Savannah here?"
"Because her friend left her stranded at the gas station."
"She smells like alcohol."
"I don't know anything."
"Where is Karen?"
"I don't know. She bought us a pizza and said she was going to the bar downstairs."
"So she's probably passed out drunk somewhere in this hotel."
Olivia looked away from Serenity when she heard someone putting a key in the door. After a few seconds, Karen stumbled into the room. She could barely hold herself up, and she didn't notice Olivia standing by the window. She fell on the floor and threw up.
"Serenity." Karen cried, falling over into her vomit.
She coughed and threw up again. Her face and hair was covered in vomit. Serenity ran to her leaving Olivia standing by the window. She took her hair tie out of her hair and pulled Karen's hair in a ponytail.
"How much did you drink?"
"I think I was drugged. I don't remember anything."
"You have to go to the hospital."
Olivia walked towards Karen. What the hell was going on with all of them?
"Mom, can you give us a few minutes alone?"
When the words left her lips, she realized she said those words out loud and not in her head.
"Give you a few minutes alone? Is there anything else I can give you Serenity?"
"I'm sorry."
"Get out of the way. What the hell happened Karen?"
"Mom, what are you doing here?"
"Savannah get out of the bathroom!"
Olivia grabbed a towel and turned on the water. "Help her get off the floor." Olivia said to Serenity and Savannah.
"Somebody better start talking." Olivia said, throwing the towel at Karen.
