Inside the Pokémon centre, Taylor was greeted by Nurse joy as she said to her, "Welcome Taylor, how may we help you today?" and Taylor frowned a little as she replied,

"My Starly needs help as she got roughed up pretty badly."

And Nurse Joy smiled as she said, "Of course, we'll take good care of your Starly for you Taylor, just place it on this tray." So Taylor did just that as she placed her Starly's Poke ball on the tray as Nurse Joy took it into the back room with Chansey, before Taylor then made her way over to one of the phone booths and sat down.

At first she called Professor Rowan as his face appeared on the screen as he said, "Oh hello Taylor, I wasn't expecting a call from you girl, this is a pleasant surprise." And Taylor smiled as she held up her contest ribbon to the screen before she replied,

"Hello Professor, I got my first contest ribbon from the Jubilife City contest! Isn't that great?"

Professor Rowan then rubbed his beard as he chuckled before he said with a smile on his face, "That is wonderful Taylor, I'm glad to see you are having fun on your journey." Before he then asked, "Say, could you do me a favour girl? The Poke Mart in Floaroma town has special delivery of an egg for me, I would like you to look after that egg and tell me when it hatches."

Taylor smiled as she replied, "Of course Professor, I will be glad to look after your egg for you and contact you when it hatches, just like I have been taking good care of my Pokémon." And Professor Rowan smiled as he said,

"That's good to hear Taylor, as a trainer must always take care of their Pokemon as they will take care of you in return." Before Professor Rowan then noticed Taylor's ChimChar wasn't with her so he asked her, "Speaking of taking care of your Pokemon, how is your ChimChar doing?"

And Taylor wasn't sure whether or not to tell Professor Rowan the truth so she put a smile on her face as she replied, "Well, my ChimChar evolved into a Monferno during my semi final match of the Jubilife City Pokémon contest, and at the moment Nurse Joy is treating it after it got hurt in a battle I had on my here to Floaroma town." She lied.

Professor Rowan then rubbed his beard a little as he said, "How interesting. Well, it would seem that your ChimChar had gotten stronger due to the bond you share with it and now it is a Monferno, I would very much like to see it the next time we have a chance to chat with each other girl, but for now I must get back to my research." Before he then hung up.

Nurse Joy then smiled as she called over to Taylor, "Your Starly is now nice and healthy Taylor, please do come again." And Taylor smiled as she retrieved Starly's Poke ball and placed back on her belt, before she then left the Pokémon centre as she made her way to the Poke Mart to collect the egg Professor Rowan had told her about.

The Poke Mart...

When Taylor arrived at the Poke Mart, she took a deep breath before walking inside where she was greeted by the store clerk as she said, "Hi, how can I help you today miss?" and Taylor smiled at the clerk as she replied,

"Hi, I'm Taylor and I'm here to pick up a delivery for Professor Rowan."

The store clerk nodded her head in agreement as she said to Taylor, "Certainly, I'll be one moment miss." Before going into the back room to collect the package, while Taylor was waiting for the store clerk to return with her package Jackson walked in with a smile on his face as he said to Taylor,

"Nice to see ya again Taylor."

Taylor then turned around to face Jackson as she replied with a slight huff, "What are you doing here? I thought you were going to contact this Emily person or whoever." And Jackson still had a smile on his face as he said,

"I have, and until I hear back from her I thought I would keep ya company for a while. What are ya doing here anyway? If I may ask?"

And Taylor grumbled in slight annoyance as she replied, "If you must know, I am picking up a delivery for Professor Rowan, you know THE Professor Rowan, the most renowned Pokémon researcher in the Sinnoh region." Jackson then smiled some more as he said,

"Of course I know Professor Rowan sugar, everyone knows who Professor Rowan is, besides I can't imagine what kind of things a Pokémon researcher would order anyway."

While Taylor and Jackson were busy talking with each other, the store clerk returned with an egg in her hands and she handed it to Taylor as she said to her with a smile on her face, "Here you are miss, anything else I can help you with?" and Taylor took the egg into her hands and smiled at the store clerk as she replied,

"No, I'm fine thank you."

And Jackson looked a little confused as he asked Taylor as they left the Poke Mart together, "An egg? Professor Rowan ordered an egg?" and Taylor huffed a little in annoyance as she answered,

"Yes, Professor Rowan ordered an egg, and he has asked me to take care of it for him and contact him once it hatches."

Then Taylor stared at the egg in her arms for a few minutes as she thought to herself, "I wonder what kind of Pokémon will emerge from this egg?" before she continued walking ahead of Jackson as he tried his best to follow after her as he asked her, "where are ya going now girly?"

Before Taylor then briefly stopped and turned to answer him as she replied being slightly annoyed, "If you must know I am heading back to the Pokémon centre, so that I can collect my bag and sit down for a little bit while we wait to hear from this Emily person you keep going on about."

That evening...

Taylor was enjoying her cup of hot chocolate whilst sitting at one of the tables inside the Pokemon centre, when Jackson exclaimed in excitement, "YES! She replied!" which almost made Taylor spray her mouthful of hot chocolate everywhere before glaring at Jackson as she asked in a slight huff at almost covering the next poor soul to walk near her in hot chocolate,

"Who replied?"

And Jackson still had a grin on his face as he turned to Taylor and said to her, "Emily, the leader of the Global Trainer Society, she replied to me, see I told ya she wouldn't let us down." And Taylor gulped her next mouthful of hot chocolate before she replied,

"Well, go on then, what did she say?"

Feeling amused at Taylor's comment, Jackson smiled at her as he said, "Ah, peeked your interest have I sugar?" before he then added, "Well Emily said she wants to meet us tomorrow, on the east side of Floaroma town. I told ya they exist girly!" and Taylor let out a sigh at admitting defeat as she replied,

"Ok fine, maybe I was wrong about this group of yours Jackson, what do we do now then? as I haven't heard anything from Officer Jenny yet about my missing Pokémon yet."

And Jackson looked a little shocked at Taylor's comment as he said to her, "Oh no don't get it twisted sister, I'm not with those guys and gals, I'm just really good friends with Emily that's all." Before Jackson then asked Taylor a more personal question, "Say, are ya single by any chance? Or are ya seeing that someone special?"

After hearing this, Taylor blushed a little and stumbled her words a little as she answered, "W-wha? N-no I'm seeing anyone, I haven't really been interested in love at the moment as I-I have been focusing on my career as a Coordinator." And Jackson just laughed a little before he said to her,

"Relax girly, I'm just messin' with ya, I already have someone special waiting for me back at the ranch."

Feeling a little embarrassed, Taylor glared at Jackson as she said to him in a huff, "Y-you jerk! How could you even do that to a girl's heart? What if I was in love with someone, huh?" before she realised what she just said as she quickly added, "You know what? Forget I even said that last part." Shifting a little in her seat so she wasn't making eye contact with Jackson.

And having peeked Jackson's interest, he sat there with a smile on his face as he said to Taylor, "Oh so you do have your eyes set on that special someone then, you can tell me sugar, this will just be between us, so who's got your eye then girly?" and Taylor blushed a little more before she hastily replied,

"S-shut up! Why would I tell a stranger like you who I might be in love with anyway? I mean we have only just met. If you were someone else or if we had known each other longer then maybe I might tell you."

Jackson yawned a little as he said to Taylor with a smile on his face, "I understand that sugar, it's getting pretty late so we should get some rest for now so that we can meet Emily tomorrow." And Taylor also yawned a little as she replied,

"Yeah, I guess we should try and get some rest before we meet Emily tomorrow as I am curious about her. W-what she looks like I mean before you get any ideas."

Before then both Taylor and Jackson stayed the night in the Pokémon centre, getting ready to meet the leader of the Global Trainer Society Emily the next morning.

The next day...

The next morning, Taylor was awake early and enjoying a cup of hot chocolate as she sat at the phone booth and called her friend Ash and his face popped up on the screen making Taylor blush a little before he said to her in a happy tune, "Hey Taylor, I see you made it to Floaroma town. We managed to get Oreburgh city the other day."

Taylor then smiled at Ash as she replied, "That's great Ash, I got here to Floaroma town yesterday and I had a run in with Team Galactic." Then Barry pushed his way onto the screen as he said in shock,

"Seriously? You went up against Team Galactic? Are your Pokémon ok?" before Barry then noticed Taylor's Monferno was missing as he added, "Speaking of Pokémon, where's your Monferno Taylor?"

Taylor then giggled a little as she replied, "Slow down, one question at a time, ok? My Pokémon are fine as I dealt with who I could assume were grunts, but about my Monferno...It...It was stolen by Jay the Pokémon poacher and I have reported it to Officer Jenny but I haven't heard anything just yet."

Ash and everyone were shocked at hearing this, before Dawn said to Taylor, "Don't worry Taylor, we'll help you get your Monferno back from Jay." And Taylor smiled a little as she replied,

"Aww, thanks guys I would do anything to have Cinder by my side again."

Jackson then called out to Taylor, "Are ya coming or what girly?" and Taylor looked back at him as she called back to him,

"Be there in a sec, Ok?"

Then Dawn and the others were a little curious as they asked her, "Who was that Taylor?" and Taylor smiled back at her friends before she replied to them,

"Oh that was Jackson, I met him after I came to after being knocked out by Salamence's hyperbeam. And he's really sweet and he has also been trying to help me get my Monferno back."

Then Barry had a smirk on his face as he teased Taylor a little as he said, "Ooh, is he your boyfriend? And are you two going on a date somewhere together?" and Taylor went a little red in the face before she scowled at Barry as she replied,

"Jackson is not my boyfriend! And we are not going on a date together! We are going to meet with the leader of the Global Trainer Society, and her name is Emily. I better go as I don't want to keep Jackson waiting."

Ash then smiled as he said to Taylor, "Ok, have fun Taylor. And we will see you in Eterna City for the Pokémon contest soon." Before hanging up as Taylor grabbed her bag and finished her cup of hot chocolate before making her way over to Jackson who was waiting by the door of the Pokémon centre for her.

Later...

Taylor and Jackson were walking towards the east side of Floaroma town, when Taylor asked Jackson, "So...about our conversation yesterday, you said you had someone special waiting for you back at the ranch. Is this someone special your girlfriend?" and Jackson smiled at Taylor as he answered,

"No, my someone special isn't my girlfriend, but she is a good friend of mine. And I made her a promise that I would come back to her once I had helped ya on your way to get ya Pokémon back."

As they were talking with each other, Taylor and Jackson soon reached the outskirts of Floaroma town and Jackson smiled as he said to Taylor, "Ok, this is the spot Emily told me to meet her." And Taylor looked around a little at the edges of the nearby forest before she looked back at Jackson a little confused as she replied,

"Are you sure this is the right place? For all you know Jackson, this Emily girl could be leading us straight into a trap."

But Jackson just smiled at Taylor as he said, "Relax sugar, Emily ain't like that, she'll be here don't worry. Besides I'm smart enough to know if someone was leading me into a trap or not." And Taylor just sighed a little as she replied,

"Well, if you say so."

After a few minutes of waiting, Emily slowly emerged from behind a bush with a smile on her face as she said to Jackson, "There you are Jackson, I wae beginning to think ya wouldn't show, and I see you've brought a friend with ya too." And Jackson smiled at Emily as he replied,

"Did ya really think I would leave ya hanging like that? You should know by now that ain't my style."

Before Jackson then pointed at Taylor as he said to Emily, "Anyway, this is Taylor and she-" as he was cut off by Emily as she interjected with a smile on her face,

"I know who this cutie is Jackson, she's the runner up from the Jubilife city Pokémon contest. And I'd think she'd make a great fit in the G.T.S."

And Taylor blushed a little at Emily's comment as she replied, "T-thanks, It's lovely to meet you Emily." And Emily had a smile on her face as she held out her hand, which Taylor shook as Emily said to her,

"And it's lovely to meet ya too lass. Welcome aboard the Global Trainer Society."

Taylor looked a little surprised as she looked at Emily and replied, "That's it? I don't have to do some crazy initiation ritual or anything like that?" and Emily paused for a moment, before she burst out in laughter as she snorted,

"Nah, we don't do things like that in the G.T.S lass, we don't even have a hierarchy system, we're just a rag tag group of Trainers lookin' to do something good in the world by reuniting Trainers with their lost or stolen Pokémon. Oh I like ya already lass."

Then Emily started walking a little bit before looking back at Taylor as she said to her, "C'mon, I'll show ya our base of operations. And give ya a welcoming gift too." So Taylor started following Emily before she noticed Jackson wasn't following behind her, so she looked back at him with a slight frown on her face as she said to him,

"I...I guess this is where we part ways then I take it Jackson?"

And Jackson nodded his head in agreement as he replied, "Yep, this is where we say our goodbyes for now sugar, but maybe I'll see ya around again someday, besides you're in good hands with Emily." Before walking off leaving Taylor and Emily alone together as they walked to the Global Trainer Society base.

Global Trainer Society base...

When Taylor arrived at the base with Emily she was wasn't really sure what she expected as the base itself was just a bunch of tents set up in various places with a few people either eating or doing something else, before Emily stood in front of Taylor as she said to her with a smile, "Welcome to our Global Trainer Society base! I know it doesn't like much, but to us...it's home, and there's a place for ya here too lass if you want it."

Taylor then let her surroundings sink for a few moments, before she looked at Emily and smiled as she replied, "Well...I had my doubts whether or not you guys actually existed, but if you guys are happy to have me around then...I'll be glad to join and help anyway I can to make sure no Trainer has to go through what I went through ever again."

Emily then had a beaming smile on her face as she said to Taylor, "Great, I'll introduce ya to some of the others a little later, y'know give ya time to settle in an all that. I'll be right back lass, I'm just gonna get ya your welcome gift." Before she then disappeared into a rather big looking tent for a few minutes leaving Taylor to get settled into the group.

So Taylor wandered around the base for a little while before she was stopped by a boy who looked roughly shorter than her in height, and he looked a little nervous as he said to Taylor, "H-hello there, I-I'm Daniel." And Taylor smiled as she tried to reassure Daniel as she held out her and replied,

"I'm Taylor, you don't have to be afraid of me I'm not gonna hurt you, I take you haven't had much experience in talking to girls before, huh?"

And Daniel seemed to relax a little, but he still sounded a little nervous as he said, "Y-yeah, I don't really have m-much experience in talking to girls Taylor, b-but I watched you in the Jubilife city Pokémon contest, a-and you were awesome! I-it's a shame you lost to Zoey in the finals though."

Then Taylor smiled at Daniel as she replied, "Wow, I-I'm flattered that you think so highly of me, I'm lucky I even made it to the finals against Zoey as she is a tough Coordinator for sure." A few minutes later Emily returned holding some sort of cloak in her hands as she walked over to Taylor and handed it to her as she said to her with a smile,

"Here ya are lass, and I see ya already met Daniel, our tech expert."

Taylor then took the cloak and wrapped it around her tank top and attached the Poke ball pin to it and pulled up the hood over her head, the cloak had the Global Trainer Society logo on the side of it before she then replied, "Thanks Emily, I really love this cloak." And Emily let out a small laugh as she said,

"I knew ya would like it lass, and I have something else for ya as well." Before she then handed Taylor a Poke ball, and Taylor took the Poke ball into her hand and looked at it for a moment before looking back at Emily in slight confusion as she asked,

"What's in the Poke ball Emily?"

Emily then smiled as she answered, "Well, why don't ya open it and find out lass." So Taylor did just that as she pressed the button on the Poke ball as it sprung open and a ball of light came shooting out until it formed a small blue humanoid looking creature as it tried to get a look of its surroundings before it then locked eyes with Taylor.

Taylor then pulled out her Poke dex as she held it over the creature as it said, "Riolu, the emanation Pokémon. Riolu has the power to see and understand emotions like happiness and anger in Aura waves." And Taylor smiled as she said, "Riolu huh? I'm sure we will get along just fine."

And Riolu stared at Taylor for a few minutes before Taylor asked Emily, "What's it doing?" and Emily smiled as she calmly replied,

"Relax lass, Riolu is trying to read your Aura to see if you are worthy enough."

After a few minutes, Riolu slowly smiled at Taylor seemingly satisfied before Taylor smiled back at Riolu as she said to it, "Hi there, my name's Taylor. And I'm gonna take good care of you." And Riolu nodded its head as it cried out,

"Riolu!"

Then Taylor placed Riolu back inside its Poke ball again before staring at the ball in her hand for a few minutes as she thought of a name before she finally said, "I think I will name you...Ryu."
