A/N: So I DID NOT ABANDON THIS, I'm just suffering from really bad writer's block, and I could have used this as one big chapter but for the two people who still read this story, I felt like I needed to push out a chapter for y'all, and I'm sorry that this won't be consistently updated.
The older girl smiled, "Yep, and just because I know you doesn't mean I'm going easy on you," she said, grabbing one of her Pokeballs.
I smiled, she was gonna be a difficult person to beat, I need to be careful if I want to face Max in the finals.
"Audino, let's do this," I yelled.
"Pangoro, let's go."
Pangoro roared once it came out of its Pokeball, practically everyone covered their ears, except Marin.
"Glad to know you're ready to fight, this is gonna be a tough one," she yelled.
Audino seemed to be a bit scared after Pangoro's roar.
"It's alright Audino, let's start this off with toxic," I yelled.
"Aud," Audino yelled, thrusting her arms forward and sending five jets of black liquid towards Pangoro.
"Dodge it," Marin yelled.
Pangoro jumped out of the way, just barely missing one of the streams.
"You alright Pangoro?" Marin yelled.
"Pang," he answered.
"Let me know when you need to rest, got it?"
Pangoro nodded.
"Good, then let's keep going, use Earthquake."
Pangoro stomped on the ground sending shockwaves through the ground.
I lost my balance a bit and noticed Audino was struggling to stay upright.
"Psychic," I yelled.
Audino's eyes began to glow and Pangoro was raised into the air, surrounded by an ethereal blue glow.
Marin's eyes widened as she thought of a move to counter.
"Slam Pangoro to the ground," I yelled, maybe this wouldn't be as hard as I thought.
"Stone Edge," Marin shouted.
Pangoro managed to punch the ground, causing blue rocks to appear and hit Audino who got caught off guard.
"Audino," I yelled.
"Aud," she groaned.
Pangoro groaned in pain from across the field and Marin seemed to say something with her gaze. Whatever the question was, Pangoro's answer was no, he shook his head.
I got cocky, she's friends with Alain, who was one of the greatest trainers in his generation, she had to be difficult.
I took a breath to refocus, "Audino, use Ice Beam."
"Pangoro, use Stone Edge and make a barrier to block the Ice Beam."
"Now use Earthquake," She yelled.
Audino was caught off balance.
"Brick Break!"
Pangoro jumped towards Audino with a glowing fist and punched her back to me.
"Audino is unable to battle."
"Pyroar," I yelled.
Marin flinched at the sight of the Pokemon, I couldn't blame her, Lysander had one and because of him, she could have lost Chespie.
"Fire Blast."
"Stone-" Marin said before she was cut off by Pangoro falling at her feet.
"Pangoro, return. Gyarados, it's your turn."
I'm screwed.
"Hydro Pump!"
"Dodge it," I screamed.
Pyroar kept out of the way.
"Fire Blast."
"Hydro Pump."
The water extinguished Pyroar's Fire Blast and hit Pyroar dead on, knocking him out.
I got it!
"Dedenne, let's do this!" I yelled.
I heard some scoffs, but anyone who'd seen me battle, Marin included, knew that Dedenne packed a punch.
"Use Dragon Rage," She cried.
"Dodge then use Volt Switch," I yelled.
Dedenne gingerly jumped out of the way and then sent a golden ball of electricity directly to Grayados's forehead.
"Dos," it cried.
Marin bit her lip, I had almost backed her into a corner.
"Use Hydro Pump."
"Dodge then Nuzzle!"
Dedenne rolled out of the way, a move he'd picked up from Contests, and scampered up Gyarados while electrifying his cheeks and then rubbing his cheeks against Gyarados's scales.
Gyarados was surrounded by electricity and after Dedenne jumped away, little sparks of electricity surrounded its body.
I was not sure why so many people were shocked, I'm the little sister of an electric type gym leader and I don't have a strong electric type, as if.
"Use Hyper Beam."
"Dodge it, Dedenne!"
Gyarados fired a red and orange beam but Dedenne scampered out of the way with ease.
"Hydro Pump!" Marin shouted.
Gyarados prepared to send the attack but froze.
Marin's eyes widened as she realized what happened.
Paralysis, "Use Volt Switch."
Dedenne sent another golden orb of electricity and sent it towards Gyarados.
Gyarados groaned in pain before falling on his side.
The referee looked at the field in bewilderment, "It appears that Gyarados is unable to battle, please select your next Pokémon."
"Okay, Sandslash, let's go."
A blue Sandslash, shoot wasn't Max talking about these?
"It's Alolan, ice-type," someone yelled.
I looked up to where my friends were and saw Max giving me a thumbs up. I nodded.
"Aerial Ace."
"Use Dig to dodge," I shouted.
Dedenne burrowed himself under the battlefield before Sandslash could attack.
Marin scanned the battlefield, trying to find where Dedenne would appear from.
"Use Volt Switch!"
Dedenne jumped out of the ground and sent the golden orb directly to Sandslash's back.
"Sla," he cried.
"Sandslash," Marin cried.
"Keep it up, Dedenne."
"Use Icicle Crash!"
Sandslash fired icicles at Dedenne and was pinned to the ground.
I saw the ref narrow his eyes, trying to see whether Dedenne had fainted or not.
"Nene!" Dedenne cheered.
"Yes," I yelled, pumping my fist.
I could see Dedenne's shadow, illuminated by sparks from his cheeks, scampering and weaving through the icicles. Even Marin looked surprised.
"Ok, use Dig again."
"Sandslash, try to figure out where Dedenne is and then use Icicle Crash."
Dedenne jumped out of the ground and was pinned immediately by an icicle.
"Dedenne," I cried.
"Dedenne is unable to battle, please select your next pokemon."
I nodded and returned Dedenne to his Pokeball.
"Delphox, let's go."
"Delphox!"
"Use Mystical Fire," I yelled.
"Sandslash, dodge it, then use Aerial Ace."
"Delphox, use Shadow Ball."
Delphox fired a purple and black orb directly at Sandslash who fell to the ground.
"Sandslash is unable to battle."
Marin returned Sandslash and I returned Delphox, I'd need her for Chespie.
"Charizard, let's go."
Should've seen that coming. "Well Squishy, you're up."
