Deep breaths of passion filled the cave. Soon after came cries of lust. The lovers had both climaxed. The blond vampire gripped the shoulders of his blue tailed lover, leaning his head and body back in pleasure. The brunette merman, panting deeply, admired the natural beauty of the vampire's body before slowly reaching and pulling the vampire against him. Zero allowed X to pull him close and X's upper body hit the ground, taking Zero with him. X ran a hand up and down Zero's curvy side while the other played with the thick mane on Zero's head. Catching his breath, the vampire's blue eyes admired the merman's cute face and glowing green eyes as he enjoyed the other's touches. X was endeared at the twinkling and love he could see in his vampire lover's eyes. "Are vampires...often so loving and loyal?" Zero gently shook his head. "I feareth not. Mine father beth a good example. He hath forsaken me and mine mother not long after my birth. Many of us merely crave blood and doth what ever it mayeth taketh it for it. That often means seduction. Seeking love and companionship is not very common behavior for us. I hath hardly any interest in a mate until thou arrived hereth." X smiled a little. "I wasn't too interested in finding a mate either before. I have to admit, though, I am glad we found each other." Zero blushed and kissed X's lips. "I must admit the same."

Once both had caught their breath, the blond slowly got up and helped X back into the warm water of the lake. X relaxed against a large crystal in the water, keeping his eyes on Zero. The blond untied his ponytail, letting the end of his hair drop to the cave floor and set his black crown aside. X blushed brightly as Zero came closer to the water, enjoying watching Zero's body move. "Might there beth room foreth oneth more?" The merman nodded, gently splashing Zero when he was close enough. "Come on in, Pappa, the water is great." Zero giggled when he was splashed before lowering himself into the lake's warm water. "I have another question for you. There are no humans here, or there don't seem to be. If vampires crave human blood so much, how are you..how are you even alive?" Zero smirked, swimming to X. "I doth admire thy curiousness. We doth indeed prefer human blood, but this doth not meaneth it cannot beth substituted in such a situation. As mine luck shalt hath it, this area doth hath this lake and the substitute I hath relieth on dwelleth in nearly all bodies of water." X kept his eyes fixed on Zero as Zero soon relaxed by another large crystal close to X. "Fish blood?" The blond nodded deeply. "Yes, thou art correct. Having ultimately being raised in the lake most of mine life, I hath no issues with it. It is rare I eateth much else, though that shalt likely changeth when we goeth to liveth in mine old house upstream." X tilted his head. "What is there for surface world food?" "Fruits, berries, vegetables, meat, and legumes. Though, often vegetables and someth fruits must beth planted and harvested at certain times of the year. The weather doth dictate their quality as well as quantity." Zero answered before going underwater briefly to wet his hair. "Can we do something like that when the werewolves are gone?" X asked when Zero came back up. "Yes, but we shalt seeth what foods we taketh favor of and whether we can plant them." The blond nodded, moving his fringe from his face. X smiled at the vampire. "You make me excited for human life. I can't wait." Zero blushed with a chuckle, rubbing the hair on his head. "Thou speaketh with flattering enthusiasm. Thou art sureth thou can part with thy current sea dweller way of life?" X looked down a little. "Well, I can't say I won't miss it...or what remains of my family in the sea. Though, from what you've told me of surface life, it sounds so wonderful. I think its made even better that I will have a guide with me. Someone to show me how things work." Zero smiled. "Very well. It shalt beth ok to miss thy previous life in mine eyes. I hath mine moments from mine youth as well. I too craveth life back on dry land, but we shalt keep our enthusiasm on tight leashes foreth now. There is much to beth done beforeth any of that can happen and we needeth careful timing foreth each move." X nodded gently, rubbing Zero down slowly, helping Zero bathe gently.

After a while, Zero crawled out of the lake and shook himself off by the banks. X enjoyed watching Zero's movements, swimming slowly closer to him. As Zero wrung out his hair out, X came ever closer to the bank. The merman reached his head up and playfully licked Zero's tip. The blond groaned gently, letting his hair go as he looked down at the merman. X blushed when Zero looked at him. "You taste so good. Can Pappa keep his length out when its just us in here?" Zero chuckled, pointing his length at X's mouth, letting X take his whole tip. "I think I can alloweth that." X gently sucked Zero's tip, keeping his eyes on Zero passionately. Zero moaned passionately as X sucked him, starting to gently rub himself. X took Zero further, sucking him harder as he watched Zero's hands begin their journey starting with Zero's chest and nipples. Zero moaned more when he could feel part of his shaft in X's mouth, stiffening as he moved his hands over his own stomach and near his navel. "Mm..Thou maketh me feel amazing..." X took Zero further, tasting some precum as he sucked more. Zero growled erotically, rubbing his stomach and curvy sides before playing with his happy trail. He could feel himself getting harder in X's mouth. X sucked him faster, eager for Zero's sweet nectar. He listened to Zero nearly scream in pleasure just before the nectar surged into his mouth. Zero pushed his length further into X's mouth, giving him two thick streams of his nectar before X slowly let his length go. The merman snuggled Zero's thigh, licking stray nectar from his lips.

X crawled ashore again when Zero sat down just before the cave entrance. The blond had begun to brush his hair out, bringing his hair tie and crown to his side. X crawled behind Zero and took the brush from the vampire. Zero just giggled, staying mostly still for the merman. X contently brushed Zero's long mane, playing with his hair here and there. "Your hair is so long and pretty. I've never seen any creature with such long hair. How did you do it?" Zero shrugged gently. "I supposeth I must thanketh mine parents..and mayhap even mine diet of fish." X was a little surprised. "Fish can do that? I'm related to sharks, but personally I'm not big on meat." Zero chuckled. "Mayhap when we changeth things hereth, this shalt changeth too?" X giggled. "Maybe..just maybe."

X tied up Zero's hair after a while of brushing before putting the black crown on Zero's forehead. The vampire thanked him with gentle pats on X's head. X lied down beside Zero, receiving a gentle back rub. The blond quietly rubbed between X's shoulders and down his back, listening to gentle winds outside the cave. After a short while, both X and Zero could hear a noise outside. X didn't know what it was. "What's that noise?" "That is rain, water falling from clouds in the sky." Zero answered, looking outside the cave at the rain droplets on the surface of the lake beyond. X leaned forward, looking at the rain too. "Its strangely calming." Zero nodded. "It can lutheth one to sleep. As I thinketh about it, this is the ideal time to sneaketh into yon house and retrieveth a weapon..mayhap some armor if any." X looked to the blond. "How does the lake lead to the house?" "Yon lake forks after a longeth straight stretch. A right will lead thee near and away from the Forest of Chaos. Left will lead thee deeper into the woods. After this left, there hideth a small tunnel used by fish and other small creatures. On the other side of it is a pond that sits directly behind the old house. The house is but a short walk away from it. I must ask thee to carry me to that tunnel, in mine bat form. I shalt meet thee at the pond. Art thou up to it?" Zero explained and asked as he put his shorts on. X nodded. "I think I can handle it."

Once X was outside the cave, Zero flew out in bat form and rested in X's brown locks, trying to blend into X's hair as X started to swim away from the cave. X was glad there were no mermaids out today as he swam. When he reached the fork in the lake, X remembered to go left. He was closer to the neglected house than before, seeing its deteriorating condition. Paint was peeling off it and even a few windows were cracked. When X reached and found the tunnel, Zero lept from X's hair and flew towards the house. X swam through the narrow tunnel and surfaced in the pond just behind the house. The blue eyed bat touched down on the ground and changed back to his original form not long after. 'Well done, dearest. I shalt seeth what I can findeth. I asketh thee to waiteth hereth for me.' He whispered to his merman lover. X nodded deeply, hiding in the water as Zero carefully stepped into the old house.

Inside the house, the neglect he saw made the vampire's heart writhe in pain, thus making him clutch his chest. Rotten and broken walls to the sides, cracked windows, rotten floorboards, and even rotting ceiling material were all around. He assessed what needed fixing as he checked every room, eventually finding his father's weaponry and armory in a closet of an upstairs bedroom. No armor to be found, but there were plenty of weapons. Zero took a rusty scythe and applied a rust remover to it, wiping the blade clean with a rag. He also took a heavy shield and some whetstones to sharpen the blade. He used a strap of leather to fasten the scythe to his back before quietly leaving the house, quietly swearing to do a lot of renovating and fixing once the werewolves were gone.

X had waited for Zero in the pond and surfaced once he saw Zero's form at the end of the pond. 'Will you be able to fly with all that stuff on your back? Or even change?' X whispered to him. Zero nodded. 'I hath not shown thee mine power, alas I can carry these. Nevertheless, I shalt once more meeteth thee around the fork in the lake.' With that, Zero changed back into a back, shrinking the scythe and shield with him as he flew away. X nodded, watching him before swimming through the tunnel and back out into the lake. Zero landed on X's head, enjoying the ride back into the cave before jumping down onto the cave floor. He took his original form again and removed the scythe and shield from his back. X came to and rested on the banks of the lake, watching Zero. "Now that you have a weapon, when do you think is your best shot at attacking the werewolves?" Zero pet X's head gently, kissing his brown locks before setting to work sharpening the blade with a whetstone. "Evening when they art active, surely, alas when their sense of smell beth very impaired. Mayhap a rainy or windy evening. If this weather continues, then that mayhap beth soon."
