The next day, Troy had just gotten out of class and finished putting his things in his locker for free period before he was going to walk to Gabriella's. When he got to her locker – as she was unaware of his presence – he wrapped his arms around her waist, feeling her jump, before he leant his chin on her shoulder. "Hey Brie."

She smiled and leant into him, kissing his cheek. "Hey Wildcat."

"What are we gonna do for free period?"

"Rooftop?" Gabriella offered.

"Sounds like a plan." His eyes drifted to the white teddy bear in her locker. "What's that?"

"What's what? Oh the bear?" He nodded and she continued. "I got it for Charlotte, I'm going to give it to her soon, it's for -"

"Excuse me, are you Troy Bolton?" They both turned to the middle age woman, the boy nodding. "I'm Morgan Keller and I'm the teacher's aid for Jenny's class. She asked me to come up here and find you, we're having a bit of a problem with Charlotte. She's having a panic attack and she's not letting anyone help her, she's just hiding away in that corner. So we were hoping that you'd be able to come down and hopefully calm her down to find out what's wrong."

"Yeah of course." He turned to Gabriella. "Do you want to come, you've always been really good with her when she's like this."

"Of course I'll come with you, I want to be sure she's ok too." She quickly grabbed the bear from her locker. "And this is actually where the bear will help or at least I hope it will."

"I trust you Brie, I'm sure whatever it is will work." They all walked down to the daycare and found Jenny trying to talk to a panicked Charlotte while Addison stood concerned behind the teacher. Troy knelt down next to his daughter. "Hey Angel, look at Daddy. Do you want to tell me what's wrong?"

The toddler's eyes shot to her father and she threw herself into his arms, gripping him tightly. He set her on his lap, hugging her and placed a kiss on the top of her head. "It's alright Charlie, Daddy's here but you've gotta calm down for my Angel." The little girl tried to follow the instruction, being with her father had calmed her down but her breathing was still uneven. His eyes shot to Gabriella for help and she sat down beside them, rubbing the little girl's back, making her turn to her.

"You've gotta breathe Sweet Girl, can you copy me." The toddler copied the senior and her breathing levelled out. "Good girl Charlie, that's it, you're ok." The little girl grabbed Gabriella's hand tightly and the senior kissed her hand reassuringly. "Do you want to tell us what upset you?"

"I-I don't know, it was scawy."

Gabriella closed her eyes painfully before looking at Troy. "That's not good, panic attacks are one thing but for them to be happening with no stimulus while she's this young is bad." She turned back to Charlotte. "It's ok Baby Girl, you're ok. I've actually got something for you for this." She handed the girl the bear and smiled as she immediately hugged it to her chest. "I had one like this when I was little, see if you press the hand here, it lights up different colours." She pressed the button and the girl smiled at the different colours, making the seniors smile. "Now this bear is very special, do you want to know why?" Gabriella looked at Troy for permission and he nodded.

"Do you want to go sit with Gabi?" She nodded and moved into Gabriella's lap, cuddling into her, making them both smile before the girl continued.

"Now you can keep this bear in your bag or wherever you want to, whenever you start to feel upset or if you start to feel panicked or if it's getting hard to breathe, you come get you're bear ok? Come sit in the quiet corner and you can hug him or watch the colours, whatever you want to do. Even though we're not always here, whenever you have your bear with you, it's like m-Gabi and Daddy are here ok?"

Charlotte nodded and hugged Gabriella tightly. "Thank you Gabi, love you."

"I love you too Sweet Girl." She looked up and noticed Addison was still hovering, she smiled at the girl and she walked over. "Hey Addy."

"Hello Miss Gabi, is Charlotte ok?"

"Charlotte's ok now sweetheart, she just had a bit of a panic attack."

Addison frowned. "That doesn't sound good."

"No it's not very good, but she's ok." She looked over at Troy and saw his confused expression. "Oh this is Addison, she's Charlie's friend. Addy, this is Charlotte's Daddy Troy."

The little girl responded politely. "Hello Troy."

"Hi Addison, it's nice to meet you."

Their conversation was interrupted by Jenny. "How is she? Is she ok now."

Gabriella nodded. "Yeah she's alright now, we managed to calm her down. We gave her this teddy for her to keep with in case she has anymore panic attacks, it should hopefully help or make them less severe."

Jenny nodded. "Ok then, that's perfectly fine." She turned her attention to the girls. "Charlotte, Addison, it's nap time now so Addison, why don't you go pick a blue mat to lie down on and Charlotte, can you say bye to Daddy and Gabriella and do the same."

Jenny and Addison walked away after the little spoke. "Goodbye Miss Gabi."

"Bye Addy, I'll see you this afternoon." She turned her attention to Charlotte. "Alright Baby Girl, it's time for Daddy and I to go now but if you need us, you tell Mrs Ryan or Mrs Keller otherwise I'll see you this afternoon. I love you Charlie." She said, placing a kiss on her forehead

"I love you Gabi, bye."

Troy took his daughter into his arms. "Promise Daddy you're ok?" He said, holding his pinky out in which the little girl did a pinky promise. "Alright then, I'll see you and Gabi when I come pick you up this afternoon. Try to have some fun Angel, I love you."

"I love you Daddy, bye."

"Bye Bubba."

When the seniors walked out of the room, Troy grabbed Gabriella's hand, stopping her and taking both in his own. "Thank you for how you were with Charlie just now, how do you know so much about panic attacks?"

She shrugged slightly. "I get a lot of panic attacks and anxiety attacks so I know a bit about them and how to help her deal with them which reminds me, I have this spray that I use to calm me down when I feel like I'm going to have a panic attack and it gives me a few minutes to get myself under control. I don't know if she can take it or if you'd even want her to but I can find out if she can have it, even if it's just to lessen the panic attacks she has. It's a natural thing so you don't have to worry about that but if -"

"Brie it's ok. You don't have to justify. If you think it will help her and if she's allowed to have it, it's fine. I'll try anything if you think it will help her and make it easier for her."

The girl smiled. "You're an amazing dad Troy, please never doubt that."

He was about to respond but the bell rang, making him sigh. "I guess it's off to class for us." And they went off to their lockers to get their belongings for class.
