CH 9
Ten minutes later all the teenagers were zated and moved to the rings and ringed down. Jacob found boxes of stun grenades, zats, bars of Naquadah. He and Selmak were wondering how he got this to Earth. When Jack walked into the room where Jacob is:
"I found another set of rings in Seth's bedroom"
"Lets check it out" they walked down to Seth's bedroom and saw the rings. They ringed down to another tunnel and walked along it till they walked around the corner and stopped.
"Well, now we know how he got the Naquadah here"
"We need to get those down here because if the FBI see them, then we will have problems"
"True, let's head back and let Sam know" they headed back and ringed up, then they saw SG3.
Jack got them to start moving the stuff down and into the cargo ship. While SG3 was doing that they walked back to where Sam was and told her what they had found.
"Wow, sounds like Seth has been busy"
"Sounds like it alright"
"SG2, ring up into the main room" Jacob said.
"Yes sir"
"General, when can we go in?" the FBI said over the radio.
"Soon as it is all clear, my people know what to look for just in case there is a bomb" Jacob said, then SG2, Daniel, and Teal'c ringed up.
Jack showed them where everything was, they helped to move the containers to Seth's bedroom where they were ringed down. Fifteen minutes later everything was on the cargo ship and they all walked back into the main room.
"How are we going to get the ship out of here?" Daniel asked.
Sam got her phone out and called General Hammond; they all listen to what Sam said then she hung up.
"Sam, why did you ask George to sent a message to the Tok'ra?"
"Well Dad, I can fly the ship to Cheyenne mountain, ring two Tok'ra up then fly back here, they can ring me down before they head back to base"
"Good plan"
"Well I'm going to head there now"
"Sam, I'll open and close the doors for you"
"Thanks Jack" then they walked into Seth's bedroom and ringed down.
Jacob got the others to look around just in case the FBI looked through the window. When Jack returned he started help check things out. When Sam got to the mountain she saw General Hammond and two Tok'ra waiting next to the door; they lead them inside the mountain. When she landed the ship she got up and walked out the back; she opened the door and stuck her head out.
"Sir, over here" they looked around and they saw Sam's head and arm, who was waving at them. They walked over to the cargo ship and got on.
"Welcome to Earth" Sam said to the two Tok'ra.
"We came as soon as we got the message, but it didn't say what was found beside the cargo ship" one of the Tok'ra said.
"This way, the council will be pleased" Jolinar said.
They walked into another room after they saw containers around where the rings were. When they walked into the room and stopped they were shocked to see the bars of Naquadah lining against the wall.
"Sir, this is Naquadah, a very powerful explosive"
"How powerful?"
"Just this alone could destroy Texas twice over" Hammond looked at Sam in shock.
"That is powerful"
"It can be, but it can also be use as a power source" he nodded.
"Well, it's a pleasure to meet more of the Tok'ra, if you need any help or want to send a message to us, you got the GDO"
"Thank you General Hammond, we must depart and take these to our base"
"Of course, good luck"
"Thank you"
"Captain, see you and the others in the morning"
"Yes sir" then he walked off the ship and walked back to the door that led back into the mountain.
Sam closed the door and walked up to the front and powered the engines, then took off back to where Seth's compound was. Jolinar spoke to the two Tok'ra till they got to the compound, then she picked up her radio.
"Jack, Dad, I'm back, can someone open the doors!"
"Sure thing, Sam" Daniel said the she stood up and turned to them.
"Once I've ringed down you can head back to the base" they nodded, then Sam walked over to the rings and waited.
"Doors open"
Sam gave the Tok'ra a nod then she was ringed down; then she and Daniel heard the ship leave as he closed the doors.
"Good timing, the FBI want to check the place out"
"Ok, let's go" they walked back to the rings and back up in the bedroom when they heard over the radio:
"It's all clear, you and your mean can come up now"
"Thank you Colonel"
"Sorry I took so long"
"It's ok, come on, let's go and see what the others are doing" they walked out and went to see the others.
Teal'c, SG2 and three had to smash double doors down since they were locked, and brake the brick wall with an iron rod and even use their zat to remove some of the harder chunks. When the FBI showed up the two teams were moving the bricks out of the way.
Jack, Sam, and the others were at the compound for another two hours before they left with Seth's body. By the time they returned back to the SGC it was just after dawn. They all went and had a shower and went to there base quarters to get some sleep since it had been a long day and night for them all.
Later that afternoon SG1 and Jacob returned back to the Tok'ra base with Seth's body so the scientists could use the dead symbiote to help find a poison which would kill all the system lords if and when they will have a meeting. They stayed with the Tok'ra for a couple of days before they returned back to Earth for some R&R.
Jack took Sam and Jacob to the airport before he left to go up to his cabin for few days. When Sam and Jacob arrived at San Diego, they got into their rental car and drove around to Mark's place.
Sam did the driving since she knew where he lived. When Sam pulled up outside a two story house, she turned to her father and put her hand on his and gave it a squeeze, which he did in return when he turned to look at Sam.
"We know it will take time to mend the fences, Dad"
"I know"
They both got out and closed the door before walking up to the front door. Sam was behind Jacob, both her and Jolinar knew that he got to take the first step. Jacob knocked on the door and waited.
When the door opened Mark stood there in shock when he saw his father. Jacob stepped forward and hugged him, which Mark did in return. Then they pulled apart when a four-year-old girl showed up. Jacob looked down at his granddaughter for the first time. He bent down and picked her up, as Mark welcomed them into the house. Then he gave Sam a hug before she walked in and the door closed.
Jacob and Sam stayed with Mark and the family for five days. In that time both Jacob and Mark talked a lot. While Mark and his wife were at work, Jacob and Sam offered to look after the kids so they could spend time together, since they went to day care, which Mark thought was a good idea. One day while the kids were taking a nap, Jacob and Sam talked.
"Dad, are you ok?"
"What… yeah, Selmak is pleased that we came here"
"And you"
"Yes; it took a two thousand year old symbiote to bug me about mending things, and she would not give up till I do" Sam smile
"Well, Dad, she is the oldest and wisest"
"True, but there is one thing she hates"
"What's that?"
"Coffee" Sam and Jolinar laughed.
"Well, you did drink a lot of it"
"I know. Before we return I'm going to head to Washington for a few days, I'm going to pack everything up and put them into storage"
"Are you sure Dad?"
"Well, we are living on another planet"
"I know" then she smiled.
"Sam what are you smiling at?"
"Oh, Jolinar and I have been talking since we been here about what Cassie said last week"
"What did she say?"
"Weddings, she knows that Lantash and Jolinar have been together for hundreds of years and she knows my feelings for Jack, but we don't know Jack's feelings for me"
"Sam, what are you saying?" then the door bell rang.
"I'll get it" she stood up and walked down to the front door. When she opened it she was shock to see who was standing there.
"Jack… ah come on in"
"Thanks" Jack walked in and closed the door, then he followed Sam down to where Jacob was.
"Jack, is everything ok?"
"Yes"
"Sit down, want a drink?"
"Na, I'm fine thanks, Lantash and I have been talking"
"About what?"
"Feelings" Sam looked at her father then to Jack.
"Jack" then his eyes glowed and they knew it was Lantash taking over.
"Jack loves Samantha but he's not good in expressing his feelings"
"Jack, do you love me?"
"Yes, I have loved you since we first met and you challenged me to an arm wresting match" Sam smiled.
While Selmak showed Jacob what had happened that morning from Jack's point of view and smiled at what Sam said to Jack and what he said in return.
Then Jack moved from where he was and got down on one knee and he pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it up.
"Samantha Carter… and Jolinar of Malkshur will you two do the honors of becoming Lantash's and my wife" Sam laughed.
"Before I answer don't you need to ask Dad… and Selmak first?" Jack turned to Jacob.
"General Carter and Selmak"
"Yes, Jack, you can marry Sam" then his eyes glowed then they heard Selmak laugh for a few seconds.
"This is a strange custom and the first time for a host to ask both host and symbiote to marry like this… yes you can"
"Thanks Selmak… Dad" Jack said smiling then he looked at Sam.
"Yes Jack, I will marry you"
"Jolinar?" Sam eyes glowed.
"Yes. I will marry Lantash"
"Sweet" Lantash said.
They all laughed while Jack got the ring out of the box and slip it on to her finger, then he stood up pulling Sam with him; they both hugged and kissed, then Jacob got up and hugged them both at the same time.
"Sam, I'm proud of you"
"Thanks Dad"
"Can we have a look at the ring?" Sam showed Jacob her ring.
It was a one carat round blue topaz with half a carat round diamond on each side, set in eighteen carat yellow gold band setting.
"Wow Jack, that must have set you back a bit?"
"Sam is worth it"
"Yes she is, so where are you staying?"
"I was going to stay at a hotel"
"No you are not, you are going to stay here, I'm sure Mark wouldn't mind and it will give you a chance to meet the rest of the family"
"Thanks, well I better go and get my bag, it is still outside, oh here press three it's a direct link to Hammond's office"
Jack passed Jacob his cell phone before walking out to get his bag. Jacob opened Jack's phone and pressed three then 'talk' then they sat down just as Jack returned and sat down next to Sam and held onto her hand while listening to Jacob.
"George it's Jacob… yes everything is fine, I just call to let you know that Jack and Sam just got engaged… yes, just a couple of minutes ago… yes, even Lantash asked Jolinar… Yeah I know… ok we will talk when we get back… ok then" then he hung up and closed the phone.
"He sends his congratulation and he's going to wait till we return before letting everyone else know, but he is going to be calling the President"
"Ok now, how can I get Mark on the good side, any ideas?" Sam smiled.
"Mark got a barbecue out back," Sam said, and Jack grinned.
"Sweet, so Sam how about you and I head into town and grab some things, want to come along Dad?"
"No, you two go ahead, the kids will be up in an hour from their nap"
"Ok, shall we and we can talk weddings?"
"Sounds good to me"
They stood up and walked out of the door after they got their jackets on, and Sam grabbed her purse before they left. Sam drove them to a supermarket where they bought steaks, salad, and drinks. While they were buying other items, Jack put ice cream in the trolley without letting Sam know.
Once they got everything, they headed to the counter where Sam started putting things up on the conveyor belt. When she saw the ice cream, she looked at Jack who was grinning; she shook her head as she picked it up and put it on the belt, then she got the rest of the items and put them on the belt.
Then she pushed the trolley to the end of the counter where she put the bags back into the trolley while Jack paid for everything. Then they walked back to the car and put their groceries in the back seat, then Jack put the trolley back while Sam unlocked the car and got in and started it up and waited for Jack. When Jack got in, they headed back to Mark's place.
"Jack, how much did this ring cost?"
"Why?"
"Just asking"
"Well, when I brought the ring and since I payed it in cash, the jeweler threw in our wedding rings for free"
"Wow, so you got the rings with you?"
Jack pulled out a box and opened it so Sam could look at the wedding rings since they were at a set of lights. When Sam saw them, they were two plain eighteen carat yellow gold bands. Jack's was six millimeters wide where Sam's was three millimeters wide.
"I like them!"
"I know, you told me when we talked that if you ever got married that you would like to have plain wedding bands" he said smiling, then he closed the box and put it back into his pocket since they were on their way again.
"Well, now I know that you were listening to me"
"Funny"
When they returned they got out and got the bags, then they walked up to the front steps. Jack looked around when he saw two black vans heading towards them.
"Sam, get inside now!" He barked. Sam opened the door and they quickly got inside and closed and locked the door.
"Shit, NID" Jack said.
"What, how did they find us?" then she turned around and walked down to the kitchen.
"Dad…Dad!" she walked in and froze then Jack walked in and stopped.
