I made a Pinterest board for this fic. It has a section about Betty's style, My OC's styles and what Betty's social media would look like

Anyway, here's the link, if it doesn't work then either search fanfic116 in accounts or When it all comes crashing down in boards.

Chapter 11

It was the day of the funeral. Betty hadn't slept. Every time she tried to she woke up screaming, reliving the crash in her dreams. Feeling Wyatt's hand go cold in hers. Feeling him slipping away. Cassie there to comfort her every time. Betty was wearing a pair of black pyjama shorts that fit over her cast and Wyatt's hoodie her promise ring on a chain around her neck, not able to wear it yet. Doctor Laine and Cassie had gotten her in a wheelchair with an extended leg holder for her leg. Her IV bag on the side of the chair. Cassie had wheeled her into the carpark and unlocked the car

"no" Betty trembled. "please don't make me get in that" She couldn't even manage to say the word car.

"I suppose it isn't that much of a walk" They walked all the way to the church. They were early, only Wyatt's parents and Betty's friends were there. His parents came up to them.

"Betty, we're glad you're here. Did you manage to write something?" Betty shook her head

"I'm sorry"

"it's okay, don't worry about it" They smiled sadly "we were wondering if you wanted some of his stuff, his clothes maybe"

"yes please, I was wondering if" Betty stuttered "if, um, if her was wearing his ring?"

"yes, we made sure of it and the friendship bracelet"

"thank you" They moved away as more people arriving. Cassie wheeled Betty up front, where Wyatt's parents had sat her friends. She was next to Roma, who took hold of Bettys hand and squeezed it. Betty looked over at her face, it was full of sadness but somehow a gave Betty a bit of hope. Betty let a few tears fall. She glanced at each of their faces, they each gave her a sad smile. They all held hands, as they had done on the bridge, except now Wyatt wasn't there with them and they weren't celebrating. The church filled up.

The priest said a few words and a prayer before Wyatt's parents spoke. "this isn't where we should be." His mother sighed sadly "but this is where we are, there no changing that. My Wyatt was a good boy, kind and happy. But the happiest I ever saw him was when he was with Betty. His soulmate." She was crying "now instead of Betty or Wyatt's friends coming and talking, I have been given a video to play instead"

The kids all looked confused instead of Fay. It began to play, it was all the videos that Fay had taken, cut together. Them running around, skating and dancing. Showing how happy Wyatt was. Betty began to sob. There wasn't a dry eye between her and her friends. A clip of Betty and Wyatt played, it was the night of the beach.

"Fay why do you have to Film everything" Wyatt asked laughing

"because I'm going to make it into an epic film one day to show all our kids" She explained

"okay so kids, don't do what we do, be good kids don't drink beer underage" Emily said giggling "come on flash the ring" Fay teased Betty rolled her eyes but complied, showing the ring to the camera

Wyatt leaned in and kissed her, the others cheer. It ended with the clip of them jumping of the bridge. After the funeral, everyone else had left except the kids, and Cassie who had excused herself and sat outside giving them some space.

"I love him so much" Betty whispered.

"we all did"

"but there's nothing we can do"

"I keep on trying to look for him, even though I know he won't be there"

"he's still here with us, he wouldn't just leave completely"

"he's probably watching us, waiting to see what trouble we get in" they all chuckled sadly.

"Betty, we ought to be getting back."

Betty said bye and tried to wipe away her tears but they wouldn't stop falling.

Two months later. Betty now had a big brace now instead of the cast, though somehow it was worse. The top and bottom of the brace were attached to metal rods that were drilled into her knee, keeping it in place. It was huge from the top of the angle to the top of her high, a white bandage covering the skin that would be seen under the brace. She'd had yet another knee surgery. She hadn't seen her knee yet and was scared to, she had been told there were large scars. Her face had mostly healed but there was a big angry scar under her lip. She still hadn't gotten in a car, and was only wearing Wyatt's clothes.

Her sleeping had gotten better because they had her on sedatives at night. Her mom hadn't shown up yet. Cassie and her psychiatrist wanted to talk to her.

"So, Betty, after careful consideration we have decided it would be best for you to move away from Chicago"

"what?"

"we believe it is best if. We go to Riverdale" Cassie informed.

"What?!" Betty shouted louder

"I know what you're thinking Betts, but In Riverdale t would be quieter and more peaceful and maybe we'd be able to find your mom"

"No" She argued

"you will attend Riverdale high, now that you're out of the chair and on crutches and we will move into your mother's house"

"no" She repeated.

"yes, and that is the end of that your friends are on the way to say goodbye, I'm sorry"

"but how, I can barely walk on crutches and I still can't move or control my hand."

"I've spoken to the principle and you will type on your laptop instead of writing" Cassie was trying to be stern but failing, Betty could see right through her and that she felt bad.

"But what about my old friends, my old life, no one wants me there"

"its decided, we are going by train so we don't have to go in a car"

Betty began to cry, "fuck you"

She was interrupted by her friends walking in. Cassie and the doctor left.

"I'm coming straight back as soon as I can" Betty promised

"you give em hell" Roma said sniffling.

Winter threw a back on the bed. "a leaving present" Betty looked inside, it was full of cigarettes and weed.

"fuck this must have cost you so much" Betty was grateful. they may not be supporting a healthy habit but they didn't care.

"yeah well, we didn't know if your fake ID would work in Riverdale so, if it doesn't text u and we'll send you some more" Fay remarked sniffling.

"I'm gonna miss you guys"

"we're gonna miss you too, so much"

they were all crying. "Betty it's time to go" Cassie said, trying to hide the fact that she was crying.

"I love you guys"

"we love you too"

she hugged each of them before she slowly limped out of the room with her crutches, that had a purple cushioned handle. A bag attached that Emily had made her and it was covered in purple tape. A DIY project done by her friends. The crutch on the side of her injured hand was a different one, it had a strap to go the upper arm and the lower arm and hand was still in a black cast, weak and useless. The train journey to Riverdale was eventful to say the least. Betty's stomach had begun to cramp painfully and Betty still hadn't stopped crying. Neither had Cassie.

"I love you and I hope you know that I'm just doing what is best" That sounded scarily like Alice ten months ago.

"I love you too. I'm just scared. I'm losing everyone" Betty cried quietly.

"you won't lose me, I promise" Cassie stated.
