The next chapter has been posted! Last chapter was quite riveting with a surprise ending. Just when Frieza thought he had the upper hand and was about to kill Goku and Vegeta. Rain steps in with a plan. Luckily for her, it worked accordingly. Now with the ki suppressant flowing through huis body. Frieza will face the humiliation of what it's like to live like a human. No doubt, Rain and the Z Fighters are going to have their fun sticking it to him too. Enjoy :)
His vision was slightly blurred upon waking. He was groggy as hell and his head throbbed. After a few moments his vision cleared, only for him to have to shield his eyes. Where ever he was, it was bright. Frieza sat up with a pained groan and looked around. He was in a stark white sterile room. There was a wall of clear plexiglass in front of him across the room. The arcosian pulled himself up from the small twin size bed he was laying on. Pain shot through his sore body, making him fall backwards on the bed. He put one hand over his tender abdomen and the other to his throbbing head.
Frieza caught movement at the corner of his eyes and looked up. He saw Vegeta's Wife had entered the room beyond the plexiglass barrier. When she saw he was awake. The blue haired scientist looked upon him for a moment before quickly leaving the room again. He scowled and tried standing up again. Frieza was a bit wobbly at first, but was able to retain his balance this time around. He slowly approached the plexiglass, putting his hand on it.
He analyzed the clear, thick glass. Then he made a fist and slammed it against the solid barrier. It made a loud bang. To his disappointment, his hit didn't so much as make a tiny crack. Instead, he pulled his now sore hand back with a hiss. Frieza was still having a difficult time coming to terms in his new weakened state. He thought being paraded around by fairies and stuffed animals in hell was humiliating. But this...was in so many ways just as bad.
He could berate himself for being so callous. How could he let his guard down so easily to her? Who's he kidding, the little vixen seduced him. And he was stupid enough to fall for it. In normal circumstances, Frieza wouldn't have fallen to such a ploy. But his Rain proved to him over and over that she was unlike past conquests. She intrigued him, much so that he came back here with intentions of killing the saiyans and taking her back afterwards.
He was brought out of his reverie when more people came into the room. Bulma came in, followed by Vegeta, Goku, and Rain. The saiyan prince had a wide grin on his face when he came over to the plexiglass wall and pressed a button on the wall adjacent to the glass one.
"How you liking your new cage, Frieza?" His taunting voice came over a speaker near the ceiling of his cell.
The tyrant was clearly unamused and clenched his fist in anger.
"I'll let you know, as soon as I get out of here." He bit back.
Vegeta chuckled and pressed the button again.
"Who said anything about you getting out? Your staying in there until we see fit. In the mean time, welcome to your new home." He said.
A vein pulsed on the side of his head. Oh, how he was going to make these monkeys pay. Not only that, he was going to make his lovely little human pay too. Frieza may not kill her. No, he will kill these monkeys and blow up her home world right in front of her eyes. Then take her as he pleases. Either way, this wasn't over.
"What was in that tiny syringe? Just what exactly did you do to me? My power, it's as if its no longer there." Frieza snapped.
"It's as we told you. It's a ki suppressant. Right now your no stronger or faster than a mere human. That means no more superhuman strength, speed, ki manipulation, power ups, and flight. Completely rendered powerless. Couldn't have happen to a better person in my opinion." Vegeta continued to taunt him.
Meanwhile, Frieza looks like he was about to blow a gasket. The predicament he was in was starting to sink in. He couldn't rely on his power to get him out of this mess. So he will have to put all his reliance on his intellect. Now he needed to come up with a thorough plan on how he can get out of this cell and gain his power back. Unfortunately, he may need assistance for his plan to take action. Frieza has a feeling the plan will involve none other than the human who put him in this predicament to begin with, Rain.
"And what is it you hope to accomplish by holding me here?" The tyrant asked.
At this, Rain spoke up. "For starters, you will no longer be a threat to anyone anymore. So we will start with that."
He shifts his gaze to her and smiles.
"Ah, the little seductress speaks. Though I highly doubt I'll be interested in what you have to say. Considering it's your fault I'm powerless and stuck in this box." He spat.
She narrows her eyes. "This isn't on me. It's all you. You had to come back to earth looking for another fight like always. Had you stayed away, then you wouldn't be having this problem. You have no one to blame but yourself, Frieza."
"So now you have no choice but to stay in there." Goku added on.
Frieza huffs, "Why do I have to stay in this cell? If I'm really no longer a threat. Then what harm could I do while being out and about? No doubt one of you could easily kill me if I were to try something."
"Enough, your staying in there and that is final. Be thankful we let your worthless ass live. I personally wanted to blast you into oblivion while you were knocked out." Vegeta growled.
"Oh, then why didn't you then? Growing soft now that your tied down to that mouthy woman of yours?" Frieza taunted.
The saiyan prince headed for the cell entrance ready to pummel the pipsqueak of a tyrant. But Goku stopped him.
"Vegeta, lets not do anything hasty. Remember, you told Rain you would spare him." The other saiyan reminded him.
Frieza's eyes widened in surprise as he turned back to the young woman.
"And just why is that? You get joy out of seeing me weak and vulnerable?" He asks.
"No less than how you made me feel when I was stuck with you. But no, I've seen enough death for a lifetime. I simply didn't wish to see anymore. Even if its a psychotic reptilian midget like you." Was her response.
He leaned up against the glass with a smirk.
"Is it that? Or have we grown a soft spot for me?" Frieza asked.
Rain clenched her fist. Even now, the little bastard still had a way of getting under her skin.
"It's no secret, I have killed a lot of people. All in the name of serving my country. But that doesn't mean I'm without, honor, mercy, or a conscience. Maybe you ought to learn from this example. But do not mistake it for fondness or pity on your part. You've already wasted one too many second chances when they were given to you in the past. And look where taking them for granted got you. This maybe your last second chance you will ever get. Maybe just for once you can see it from my perspective. And start taking this chance seriously." She stated.
By now, Bulma had ushered herself and the saiyans out of the room. Leaving just the two of them in there alone. Frieza opened his mouth to say something, only to close it. At this point he wasn't sure whether to laugh at her statement or take her word on it. The fact that he was considering the latter already filled him with disgust. But in some ways, Rain was right. He never saw anything from another perspective. Mainly because he saw it nothing more than a waste of time, something not worth bothering with.
Probably because he has always prided and praised himself for his prowess and intellect. But as of now, he was robbed of the former. Being in this cell, may just give him the insight on how Rain truly felt. When she was trapped in his room when not by his side. When she had no choice or say in the things she clearly didn't want to do. What he made her do. He's not blind, Frieza can still see the fear in her eyes when he was about to force himself on her. He'll even go as far to say it bothered him more than it should have.
"And if I fail at this second chance, then what? Will you truly have those saiyans dispose of me? Come in here, and put me down like some rabid dog?" He asked, with an edge to his voice.
Rain slowly approached the glass and was now less than a foot away from the tyrant. The only thing that separated them was a thick plexiglass wall. But she never took her eyes away from his as she stopped in front of him.
"That is entirely up to you, Frieza. You may think that because your in a cell and powerless that you don't have a choice. But the truth is, this is your choice. When it all comes down to it, you must choose wisely. It's your fate your gambling with after all." She told him.
For once the evil emperor was stumped. He wasn't sure what answer he could give her. All Frieza could think of was that Rain was still a crucial part of his plan. But perhaps, he could play along. Gain her trust, maybe talk her into letting him out. Perhaps sweet talk the woman into telling him more about this ki suppressant and how long the effects will last. He doubts it is permanent. For all he knows, it could already be slowly working it's way out of his system.
"What if I say I agree to your terms on one condition?" He asked the young woman.
Rain raised a dark brow and gave him a slight nod, gesturing for him to; 'go on'.
"I don't see how I can effectively learn my 'lesson' as you so put from being locked up in this barren cubicle of a room. So I ask that you let me stay with you in your dwellings. If there is anyone who could show me what it is to be human and adjust to this sudden change, it's you. Because it is a rather drastic change, I am having a difficult time coming to terms with it. I can't recall the last time I've ever felt so helpless. It's uncomfortable and unpleasant to say the least. If you do this for me, I will take what you have to say with great consideration. Do we have a deal?" He asked, in all seriousness.
Rain narrowed her eyes. It's like the young woman was trying to peer inside his very soul for any evidence of deception behind his words. A part of her knew better that to trust this genocidal maniac. She has seen upfront how untrustworthy he can be. Even Goku told her he cannot be trusted and will lie and cheat to obtain what he desires.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think that is a possibility. You've already proven to be very untrustworthy. That and I'm well aware of how manipulative you can be. It's a risk that for any reason cannot be overlooked." She replied.
"Then how do you expect me to learn a damn thing while I'm stuck in this cold and bleak cell? If I'm to remain here, then I'd really be nothing more than a mere prisoner. You say I have a choice. But I don't see that being the case if I don't have even a minute form of freedom. It's equivalent to confining a prisoner in solitary confinement for the rest of his sentencing.
They say its to teach them a lesson. But we both know that is grossly misconstrued. All it does is make the prisoner descend slowly into madness until there is nothing left but burning rage and deep animosity towards those confining him. How am I to learn anything when this is my outcome?" He snapped in frustration.
She clenched her jaw and looked away. It's true, how could he learn from this punishment from being contained within this cell? But at the same time, if she does let him out and he tricks her. Then it won't be just her paying the price for her stupidity and recklessness in doing so. Her family, friends, and earth could be paying the price too. It's a highly risky decision to make. If he were to gain his powers back. Would Goku and Vegeta truly be able to stop him again? Before she dosed him with the ki suppressant, it looked like he was winning the fight and about to kill the saiyans before she intervened.
"How can I? You've never given me a reason to trust you. Why should I now?" She said, barely above a whisper. While turning back to face him.
"Because I told you that I'm willing to take this all into great consideration. I know I haven't given you any reason to trust my word. I've humiliated, tortured, and nearly killed you. And yet, you still had me spared, despite all that. The least I can do is show my gratitude and try to adapt to this as much as I can. Unfortunately, I cannot do this without some guidance on your part. If there is anyone who can teach me anything about being human it's you, Rain. I know it won't really reassure you when I say this. But I will not harm you while in your presence." He said with a hint of sincerity in his voice.
Rain sighs and looks away for a moment before looking back at him again.
"Fine, but know this. If I find out your lying or that your playing me. All bets are off, you will be sent straight back to hell. I'll find away to give you a one way ticket there myself. Are we understood?" She grounded out.
He gives her a small smile. Frieza has no doubt this fierce young woman would go through with this threat. He's witnessed first hand on several occasions just how stubborn and strong willed she can be. It's part of why he became so intrigued with her in the first place.
"Understood." He said.
Rain sharply turned and made her way to the lab exit to share the news with Goku, Vegeta, and Bulma. She already knew they would strongly object to this arrangement. But they needed to try something. What good could come from keeping Frieza caged up like animal. Anyone in their right mind would agree, that the evil emperor deserved just that. But keeping such a being contained like that will not always ensure safety and peace. Such a force can only be contained for so long...before all hell breaks loose.
Looks like Rain just made a deal with the devil. But in a way, her hands were tied on the matter. Leave it to Frieza to show just how manipulative and convincing he can be. But when it all comes down to it, will he truly betray her in the end? Until Next Time ;)
