Magnolia played host to many guilds in the weeks before Lucy was expected to deliver, including Sabertooth. Lucy had always been fond of Yukino, and now she was close friends with Angel as well. Sting and Rogue were constantly trying to fight with Natsu and Gajeel.

Zeref and Mavis had come visit with Irene and former Wizard Saint God Serena.

The cursed pair wanted to meet their new niece and were waiting as patiently as Mavis could manage.

God Serena was there as their bodyguard and to visit with the other dragon slayers. Irene was visiting with Erza and her new adopted twin, Ezra.

Neither Irene nor Erza ever looked for a mother/daughter relationship. Irene wasn't the "mother" type and Erza had never given her parents much thought beyond their visits.

They were happy with their lives and weren't interested in more, but they had continued to visit each other.

Irene even spent some time with Ezra. Once the situation was explained, Irene accepted her and agreed to call the two girls her twins.

Acnologia finally made his grand appearance the day Lucy went into labor.

Zeref guessed it was because there were so many dragon slayers in one spot that had gotten Acnologia's attention.

Including Fairy Tail's five dragon slayers, there were nine in the fight, plus the five dragons that were still hidden inside their dragon slayers. They didn't stay that way long. As soon as he'd shown up, the dragons emerged ready to help take him down.

The battle raged.

Layla had caught up with Anna while the teams were stuck on Tenrou. They, along with Lucy, Yukino, and Angel forced open the time rift Anna had found in an attempt to drive the black dragon into it and trap him there.

But the plan failed… sort of. His mind and body split with his mind staying inside the time rift as his body rampaged Magnolia.

While the guilds tried to control the damage Acnologia's dragon form was doing, the dragons and dragon slayers were drawn into the time rift with his mind that he'd given human form.

With the combined strength and love of everyone, Zeref and Mavis managed to cast Fairy Sphere to contain Acnologia's body and prevent too much damage to the town.

Inside the time rift, the dragons and slayers all fought to subdue the "dragon king" and took a beating.

As Acnologia's mind continued to rant maniacally about becoming stronger to end everything and everyone, Natsu recognized his insanity for what it was. The dragon slayer was beyond saving. It was an act of mercy to put him out of his misery.

As Fairy Sphere was cast outside, Natsu, with the combined power of all the slayers and dragons, hit him with everything they had finally ending Acnologia's reign.

Natsu had refused to use his demon abilities for this unless it was absolutely necessary.

He would later explain that his demon magic would've done infinitely more damage even with him being inside a time rift as it would have no effect on him.

No one bothered to argue. It was safer for everyone if Natsu didn't go all out.

Lucy had been struggling with her labor all day. By this point, Lucy no longer had the ability to do anything but squirm in place.

Wendy, Natsu, and the others had tried to keep her out of the fight, but Lucy had been stubborn.

By the time the dragon slayers and dragons exited the time rift safely, Porlyusica had already ordered Elfman to carry Lucy into the guild's infirmary while Chelia, Lamia Scales' Sky God Slayer and Wendy's friend, helped care for her.

Wendy, Layla, and Natsu joined them immediately and Elfman was soon shooed out of the room.

"Stubborn human," Porlyusica had grumbled at Lucy for not backing out of the fight.

"She's definitely a Fairy Tail Wizard!"

"Lucy's the man!"

The baby girl was born shortly after. She was a tiny replica of her mother and the women that came before her.

As Natsu had been told by the Infernus elders, she was completely human and would have a normal life span. Natsu and Lucy knew that. It would be hard. All the Ethereals and their mates went through the same thing, but they could enjoy the time they had.

Natsu stared intently at their mini creation and played with her fingers.

The healers soon allowed the others to see her.

Igneel was bewitched by the tiny infant Natsu was excitedly showing him. All the dragons were captivated by the tiny babe, but this was Igneel's grand baby and he was smitten, nearly purring in contentment.

They couldn't be there for long, but they were enjoying the few moments they had left.

Gajeel introduced Levy to Metalicana who promptly announced the petite girl's pregnancy. "How'd a brat like you get a sweet girl like her? You'd better take care of her and your pup!"

The guilds had cheered about the new announcement. Gajeel was over the moon while Levy blushed.

Grandeeney snuggled with Wendy for a long while, praising her accomplishments, and was able to give her and Porlyusica more information to help her continue her training.

Weisslogia and Skiadrum spent time with their boys as well, offering their guidance and support.

The dragons finally passed. Unlike last time, there was no real heartbreak, just peace after they said goodbye. Natsu had always reminded them where the dragons had been all along.

Jude and Layla welcomed their grandchild, thanking Zeref for going back in time. If he hadn't, they would not have ever seen her.

After meeting their niece, Zeref and Mavis also took the opportunity to finally say their goodbyes.

"I'm well over 800 years old," Zeref exhaled in exhaustion. "I'm so tired."

Natsu understood, Zeref wasn't born for a long life. Without the curse, he was completely human. He'd known how much every day hurt his brother.

He didn't grieve. He only asked that the two continue to look out for each other in their next lives.

Zeref and Mavis exchanged their most heartfelt sentiments to each other and shared their first kiss in this life. They held each other lovingly as their bodies slowly faded in a shower of light.

God Serena and Irene decided to return to Alvarez. They knew how the country was to run without their leaders.

Time continued to move as it always does.

Gray and Juvia had started dating. Ezra and Mystogan had a mutual respect for each other and were steadily growing closer as she continued to learn about Earthland.

Lyon had joined Lamia Scale in the years Gray was on Tenrou and had fallen for Meredy who'd joined Mermaid Heel with his sister, Ultear, who had rescued her as a child.

Blue Pegasus hadn't changed one bit, except Ichiya seemed to have some real affection and respect for Lucy's ancestor, Anna, which she seemed to reciprocate.

Makarov sobbed happy tears. Natsu and Lucy really did deserve to be happy. All his brats did.

After everything they had been through, Natsu and Lucy decided they were done adventuring for the time being. They would likely start again after their children got a bit older. Natsu still wanted to go on that Hundred Years Quest he'd heard about in both timelines.

Levy and Gajeel's son was next and soon the guild was overrun with children that wouldn't have existed without a simple twist of fate.
