"I think I need to think about it." Alexandria said. "Is that ok?"

"It's fine." "I figured that would be your response." He got up and put the ring away. "That's why I asked you now, so you'd have a week to think it over."

"You're not mad are you?"

"No." "Not at all." He kissed her. "Let's go get some dinner."

Two nights later Alexandria was sitting in her house alone. All she was thinking about was Landon's proposal. She got out her laptop and called Ann on Skype. Ann popped up on the screen.

"Hi." Ann said.

"Hi."

"What's up?"

"A lot."

"What's going on?"

"Landon wants me to go back to London with him when he goes back."

"Really?" "Like a vacation?"

"He proposed to me Ann."

"He what?" She said shocked.

"Yeah."

"What did you say?"

"I said I needed to think about it."

"Do you still love him?"

"Yeah."

"So what's the problem?"

"I don't know." "I mean it's London, halfway around the world." "I don't know what's holding me back."

"Alexandria."

"What?"

"You know what's stopping you."

"No I don't."

"Just admit it, you may love Landon, but you know you love John."

"Loving John would be a waste of time."

"Why?"

"He'd never love me back." "I know Landon loves me, I love him but I still don't know what to do."

Three days later Alexandria was in Landon's hotel room. It was the early afternoon. She told Landon she was going on a job. It was a lie but she couldn't tell him the truth. He walked her to the door.

"Be careful." He said.

"I will." "I'll have an answer for you when I come back."

He smiled. "You've decided?"

"Not quite yet but I'm really close."

"Text me when you land."

"I will."

"I love you."

"I love you too." They kissed. "Bye."

"Bye."

It was around nine o'clock at night when she got to where she was going, Austin, Texas. She had to ask around but it wasn't to hard to find out the information she wanted to. She was walking down a hotel room hallway. She stopped at a door, took a deep breath and knocked. John answered the door.

"Alexandria." He said surprised.

"Can I come in?"

"Yeah." She went inside. They sat down on the couch. "Are you ok?"

"I'm fine." "I need to ask you something and I need an honest answer." "I'd hate to put you on the spot like this, but things are happening right now in my life that need decisions." "If the answer is what I think it will be, I'll walk out the door and we'll never see each other again." "I still need to know." "Is there any possibility at all, that anything would ever happen between us, romantically."
