Dark Kingdom 11
The ladies room was just as stylish as the rest of the club. Glass, black tiles and black light lamps everywhere.
Usagi was standing in front of the vanity with the huge mirror that stretched over the entire wall.
Her cheeks were pink and her skin was glowing.
Actually, she should be cold, at least when she looked at her clothes.
Naru had put them in one outfit after the other for almost two hours until Usagi finally surrendered and chose this damn short black dress with the thin straps.
It suited her, no question about it.
And it made her look older. But still she was pulling and pulling on herself the whole time. Either on the hem, because the fabric had slipped up too far again, or on the neckline if, in her opinion, there was too much to see.
Still it was of no use.
Mamoru only saw the little girl in her.
The door creaked open.
What's up? I'm not even here in peace? Oh, Naru.
Usagi, this is crazy, right?
Well.
This Sapphire is a dream, she enthused, babbling.
So Sapphire.
Why did someone name his children like gemstones? Or were they just stage names?
I have never met a man so handsome and mysterious before.
It's not that great either.
And yet he was an idiot who kept embarrassing her.
Gritting her teeth, she crumpled up the cellulose paper in her hand.
"Hey Usagi?" Began Naru. Would you mind if you go home alone?
Usagi turned around in surprise: What?
Sapphire invited me to a private party.
But you don't even know him.
It doesn't matter. Sometimes you meet a person and ...
Naru. This is really not good. This guy is dangerous.
What nonsense.
Envious? A guy like that?
Usagi hoped it was just the alcohol that her friend had reacted like this.
And anyway ... she was with Umino. The two were the school's dream couple. Had she completely forgotten about him?
Maybe Mamoru was right. And there was really something in this miserable bubbling water. Something that turned friendly girls into wild party girls who'd forgotten all caution.
She had to prevent something like this from happening.
Naru was her friend.
Usagi dived out the door. This terrible loud music struck her and a cloud of sweat, cheap perfume and cigarette smoke enveloped her.
She squeezed past hot bodies, which she didn't even notice in their intoxication of dancing and alcohol.
At some point she had made it.
And just saw how Naru got into a blue sports car, the door of which was held open by Sapphire.
Before he ran around his car and once, he looked in her direction. No, not just in her direction. He looked straight at her.
Usagi shivered. That could never be a coincidence. This guy was creepy to her and this action didn't improve her image of him one bit.
Sapphire continued to stare hard at her, then looked up briefly.
Usagi followed his gaze, turned around.
Diamond was standing on a kind of balcony, a glass in his hand that he toasted to her with a smile.
She shook her head in confusion, then turned back to Sapphire.
Disappeared.
How did these guys always do it?
Usagi hurried out into the street, maybe she could still see in which direction the car was going.
Well look at that.
Usagi froze.
This voice.
As if in slow motion, she turned around.
There he was. The scar face.
Usagi noted with satisfaction that his right arm was in a sling.
We still have one bill open.
Usagi backed away. She was afraid. She was completely alone and helpless again.
And this time your friend can't help you.
"Are you sure?" She heard behind her.
Usagi turned, looking closely at Mamoru's chest. Where did he come from so suddenly?
You! Because of you, our gang is the laughing stock of the city.
"Maybe they're laughing because you seriously call your bunch a gang," Mamoru replied cool.
You cursed ...
Usagi narrowed her eyes, waiting for the attack.
"We've already had that before."
Do you want to lose your other arm too? Mamoru asked roughly.
Mamoru, no! Let him.
As you want.
"You can't always protect her." He grinned as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Mamoru turned to him again, looked at him with cold eyes: Keep your fingers off of her.
Usagi felt cold. This Mamoru clearly frightened her. Was that what he warned her about?
Dude, do you know who that is?
Usagi turned to the whispering voice. It belonged to a young man who apparently belonged to this gang. The naked fear was written on his face.
Who did he mean?
She followed his gaze. It was aimed straight at Mamoru. From this position you could see his mysterious tattoo. Did it mean anything?
"Do you want to stay here?" Asked Mamoru suddenly.
His gaze had changed again. He was still serious, but not so icy anymore.
She shook her head in silence and followed him quickly.
