It has been two days since the incident at Hosu. Izuku was still lost, starving, dehydrated and sleep deprived due to deep emotions overwhelming him.
He walked around the alleyways of Hosu, while it was a sort of shady place, he has a lower chance of running into heroes that could give him a hard time.
Izuku had no idea where to get food or water, it's not like he can just ask random people, and it felt wrong to force them to give him food or water. So he just got weaker and weaker as the days went on, getting constant headaches from the dehydration, along with him having chapped lips. He felt his stomach start to eat itself and the pain just hurt more and more as the days passed.
Izuku decided to look for a nice breakspot so he could sit down and relax, he's been walking all morning after all and he's got to conserve energy.
He eventually found a nice and tranquil area and took a moment to relax, but he was interrupted by the sound of chattering among several people nearby.
Izuku glanced over to the sound of chattering and he was on slightly high alert, hoping it wasn't some sort of hero team walking around at the current hour, or even worse, a gang.
There were four or so males that entered Izuku's line of sight, they all seemed to be in their late teens, maybe early twenties.
The males all had soda cans in their hands, well except for one who had his tail wrapped around the can and he was holding it beside him, pulling the can of soda to take a sip. The male with the tail had a quirk that seemingly gave him the attributes of some kind of lizard, likley a skink given the length and thin-ness of the tail.
There was one other male who also had a mutation quirk of sorts, giving him red skin that had a simular texture to rocks, he was also the biggest of the group.
The other two didn't seem to have any unique mutations so their quirks could be anything and Izuku would have no idea, could they have enhancement quirks? The ability to shoot lasers from their eyes? No matter, Izuku didn't want to mess with the group since he wasn't in his strongest state and he wasn't fully sure what all their quirks were.
"Oi, who the hell are you and what are you doin' on our turf!"
The male in front asked, seeming like the leader of the bunch.
"O-oh i didn't know you guys hung out here!"
Izuku timidly yelped out, his voice sounding rather hoarse from the dehydration.
"Didn't know? You must be new around here huh broccoli boy!"
The guy in front said, his once angry and intimidating expression shifing into one that expressed more so excitement but also bad intent.
"We practically run shit here so if you wanna be in this area, you're going to have to pay a small price... Just to put you in your place."
The guy in front then added, slamming his fist into his palm as a way to not only intimidate Izuku but to also give him a full idea of what he was insinuating.
"I-i don't want any trouble! I-I'll leave i promise!"
Izuku cried out, feeling his body start to shake out of fear for a moment but he stopped, not wanting to give the group the satisfaction of him showing them his fear of them.
"You're lying, aren't you?"
The guy in front then asked.
"N-no why would i?"
Izuku asked, waving his hands frantically.
"Because you're scared of us, lying is a common tactic for getting out of tough situations that you're too scared to deal with."
The male said, seeming rather intelligent despite hanging around a bunch of dumb looking thugs while also looking quite dumb himself.
"So now, let's show you where you really are broccoli boy!"
The guy then said as he started charging towards Izuku, his right forearm and hand enlarging to twice its original size.
Izuku gulped as he had no choice but to fight now, he pulled out a throwing knife and threw it at the thug, grazing his enlarged wrist and drawing some blood but not a lot like Stain would've managed to draw.
The main thug closed the distance and slammed his fist into Izuku's chest which was luckily protected by his bullet proof vest, minimizing the damage some.
Izuku got knocked back some and was rushed by another punch from the thug, this time it was a left hook, his left forearm and hand enlarging while his right shrank back to its normal size.
Izuku jumped back and out of the way, pulling his sword out.
"Slippery little bastard!"
The thug sneered, stopping his assult for a moment, turning towards Izuku who was once by his side and could only be seen from peripheral veiw. Now the thug could see Izuku fully since he was facing towards him.
The other three thugs started to surround Izuku, making it hard to predict who was going to attack and from where.
The thug with the lizard quirk put his soda can in his hand, making his tail free to use for whatever.
The tail then.. Shot off and was headed straight towards Izuku from behind.
Izuku yelped once he felt the detached tail wrap around his body, restraining his arms and rendering him useless.
The thug with the rock body quirk then charged at Izuku, hitting the boy right in the cheek, cutting and bruising it.
Izuku stumbled to the side as his knees buckled from the impact.
The main thug then shoved Izuku to the ground, and they all started kicking Izuku which took him back to his first ever fight, the one that got him expelled from middle school.
Izuku felt like crying but since he had little to now water in his body, he couldn't even blink out a single tear, despite the immense pain shooting through his already weak body.
The thugs then picked the bruised and bloodied boy up, pouring some soda on his head and then throwing him away from their area.
The tail once wrapped around Izuku's body unwrapped itself and levitated back to the lizard quirk user, simply reattaching itself onto the stump on his lower back.
Izuku's lip quivered as negative thoughts flooded his mind. He didn't care about getting beat up really, it was just the memories that came along with the beating that made him feel horrible.
So not only was he hungry and dehydrated, now he was also covered in bruises and had several open cuts that could get infected and get him seriously sick or even worse..
Izuku eventually found a slightly safer seeming area, which he hoped wasn't some other territory of another group like the last one.
Luckily, nobody came and Izuku was safe, laying down on the granite floor and trying to fall asleep but to no avail.
He let out a small sigh, laying there for hours and hours on end, not getting the slightest sense that he was going to fall asleep.
He gave up on falling asleep and decided to venture out of the alleyways for once, a risky and bold move but it was better than risking getting beaten up again. Though he wasn't going to stay in the city area for too long.
After a while of walking, he smelt something in the distance, it smelt like food.
Izuku wandered over to the area he smelled the food from and it was a resturaunt, not something his delusional mind was thinking. He was hoping for something like a pile of food just laying there wating to be eaten, or someone simply giving out food or something like that for gods sake!
He let out yet another sigh as he started walking away from the area, not wanting to stay for too long and arouse suspicion.
He just walked back to the alleyways from before, not wanting to get lost in the city either.
Night time was slowly approaching, it started getting colder, Izuku's body feeling rather vulnerable to said cold.
He approached a safe area, curling into a ball by the wall. He just thought of the horrible day he just had. He got beat up and his hope for finding food was lessened even more than before.
He stayed in the curled up position, feeling it start to rain. Great... Just fucking great, Izuku didn't think the day could've gotten any worse but it did, he felt the rain seep into his cuts, making him wince from the stinging pain that followed. It was really cold now that it was raining so he started shivering quite profusely.
"Am i... Going to die out here?"
Izuku pondered, his curly green hair starting to cling to his face as the rain weighed it down.
Izuku felt as if he was getting more and more pessimistic ever since the Hosu incident and him getting lost.
Life was feeling as tragic as it did before he became a villain, if he could even call himself one. For crying out loud, be hasn't even killed a single person since joining the league. Sure, he's injured a few, made them bleed a little but nothing more. Izuku started to feel worthless to the league, did they even miss him? All he was was a burden to them, so he felt.
He just felt like a weak link in comparison to them, he hasn't accomplished one thing that could be considered as truley evil.
He snuck into UA that one time, but nobody got hurt, even when they attacked the USJ once he found out their schedule.
He recruited Stain, but he just got arrested and taken out by a few heroes in training.
Hell, Izuku couldn't even hold his own against those damn thugs from earlier.
Izuku started to get mad at himself, he felt like the same worthless Deku he was a year ago.
Negative thoughts and memories started flooding his mind once more as his lip quivered, he felt like he wanted to cry himself half to death, or even commit suicide.
At least it would make someone happy... Even if he hated him to his very core, Katsuki.
Izuku slowly stood up, his ass feeling wet from the drenched floor which didn't make him feel any better.
He started looking for a climbable building, one with a latter.
He did eventually find one and he tried climbing it, though it was very, very hard to do so since it was wet and slippery.
He got ontop of the building, walking around on the soaked roof.
Izuku let out a shaky sigh, not being able to form any sort of words.
He approached the edge, closer and closer, his heart beating faster and faster.
"Mom probably stopped trying to look for me, she probably won't know of my death, Kacchan, even if i hate him will at least be happy, and the league, i doubt they'll miss me... I've been useless, and now that I've been put in my place once more, i think it is time that i plummet to my death, and wish for a better next life..."
Izuku thought, giving himself fuel to jump as his right foot reached the edge of the building, he looked down at the road below him.
"Will the civilians even notice me if i jumped? Would they scream? Would they care, after all I'm just a worthless Deku in a society not meant for him, they couldn't care less could they?"
Izuku then thought, feeling his body freeze up for some reason.
"N-no! I can't though, i still have to show this society that power doesn't mean anything!"
Izuku then thought, his previous thoughts starting to contradict the recent.
"B-but how? I'm quirkless, and don't stand a chance against the best of the best!"
Izuku then thought, grimacing as he started hearing his thoughts. Likley a effecf of him not sleeping for nights on end.
"Well it couldn't hurt to try could it?"
Izuku then thought, shaking as his eyes started twitching.
"We have to fight, not only for survival but also to get what we want!"
Izuku thought, his mouth opening slightly.
"W-we?..."
Izuku quietly asked aloud, wondering what the voices were insinuating.
"Yes, we! We will fight! Even if we kill the undeserving, even if it makes everyone think way differently about you, even the ones you care for! We'll become one and fight as a solid unit to achive our dreams!"
Izuku then thought, slowly stepping back and away from the ledge.
Izuku was confused by the voices in his head, not knowing why they kept saying "we" like they were referring to him and the voices.
Izuku approached the latter that lead down the building, grabbing onto the sides tightly and letting himself just slide down, usually he wouldn't do something as risky.
"First, we find food, then we find somewhere to sleep."
The voice in his head said, giving him orders.
Izuku nodded.
"B-but where?..."
Izuku quietly asked aloud.
"Where do i find food?"
He then asked, a slight quiver still present in his voice.
"I'm sure there are people with grocceries walking home, just kill them and take their food."
The voice said.
"I guess you're right... But what if there is no people walking home from the groccery store?"
Izuku asked quietly.
"Then we'll just rob the damn place, if we're going to survive we've got to take the most desperate measures for the most desperate of times."
The voice replied as Izuku walked out of the alleyway area and out to the city.
He first looked for a groccery store. Eventually he did find one and he lingered around the area, patiently waiting for someone to walk out with their groceries so he could rob them.
A female walked by, two groccery bags full
of food that had Izuku's stomach growling.
Izuku approached her from behind, pressing his hand againsy her mouth to silence her screams, and without hesitation he dragged her into a nearby alleyway and used a folding knife to stab her in the throat, ultimatley killing her on the spot.
Luckily he didn't get any blood on him since he attacked from behind. Also not too many people were out at the current hour so nobody seemed to notice.
Izuku then proceeded to grab the two groccery bags and walk back to the alleyway area to eat, leaving the female's dead body to bleed out.
Izuku started shoveling food into his face, eating about half of the food provided before at last, getting full and therefore satisfied in that regaurd. Though he still lacked water which was a relativley easy situation to solve, he used one of the containers that had ramen noodles in it (which he ate dry) and he started filling it up with water. He then drank said water, but it didn't feel good when it went down, his throat stinging as the water went down his esophagus and to his stomach.
"Now time to look for a place to sleep..."
Izuku said quietly, wandering around and hoping for a place that would have a patio that he could rest under for the night.
Izuku started wandering around in the city once more, not even regretting that he killed his first person.
He found a gas station which would do. He rested underneathe the patio provided, the ground still dry where he sat and eventually, fell asleep at.
The next morning, Izuku woke up, seeing how much it rained the night before. Izuku was happy for once, that he got something to eat and somewhere to sleep.
He still remembered that he killed someone but that didn't negatively affect him in the slightest. He got what he wanted after all, food.
Izuku stood up from the area he slept at, starting to wander around the city, not really looking for anything in specific, just wanting to feel the nice sun on his skin as he roamed around in the peaceful city.
Izuku let out a quiet sigh as he wandered around for awhile, then deciding to head back to the alleyways since he was done with his walk.
Though on accident, he ran into the same territory that the thugs he fought earlier hung out at.
The thugs were just relaxing, having a smoke until they saw the one they just jumped the day prior.
"Eh? Hey look it's broccoli boy! Looks like be came back to get another ass beating!"
The thug with the lizard quirk spouted, a grin growing on his scaley face.
The leader smirked too, grabbing the throwing knife Izuku threw but didn't pick up.
"Heh, hey broccoli boy, it looks like you dropped this in our previous session."
The leader taunted, earning a fearless glare from Izuku.
"Kill them, they're just in your way."
The voice fron before spoke, making Izuku smile.
"Alright then..."
He quietly said out loud, no quivering in his voice which made him come off partially insane for saying something completley random, but also fearless.
"Give me my knife back and I'll spare your lives..."
Izuku threatened, but the thugs just took it as a bluff, laughing the threat off.
"Oh yeah like you'll do anything, remember last time? Or is your quirk to forget shitty events? If so we'll gladly make you remember!"
The leader blurted out as he started twirling the throwing knife in his hand.
"Actually... I don't have a quirk, I'm setting out to show this fucked up society that power isn't everything, i guess you'll be the first to learn that firsthand..."
Izuku said, throwing a throwing knife at the thug, but it barley missed and hit the wall beside him, but... The knife was slightly jammed into the wall, the throw was packed with so much force that it got stuck.
The thug shrugged it off though, thinking it was just Izuku's fight or flight response taking action. He rushed at Izuku with his right arm and hand enlarged like before, ready to punch Izuku.
"You ain't going to get me with a lousy attack like that!"
Izuku said, sounding sort of like Katsuki for a second.
Izuku rushed in, closing the distance which prevented the fist from hitting Izuku. Izuku then wrapped his arm around the thug's punching shoulder, countering with a speedy punch to his throat.
It seemed like Izuku was a completely different fighter than before, he was fearless and confident in his abilities unlike before. The truth was that he was getting told what to do by the voices in his head.
The thug coughed up all the saliva in his mouth, stepping back and clutching his adams apple which he felt wasn't in its usual spot.
Izuku then threw a kick to the thug's gut, making him crumble to the floor.
Izuku saw the detatched tail from before, but he didn't let it wrap around him like last time.
Instead, he grabbed the tail, the tail started wrapping around Izuku's forearm but not very tightly as it couldn't do so from Izuku grabbing it.
Izuku then pulled his sword out, sliding it underneathe the tail that wrapped around his forearm, then cutting the tail off of his arm and making it fall on the ground, unable to move.
Izuku started charging towards the thug with the lizard quirk, his sword ready to slash his throat right then and there, but he was interupted by a hard punch to his arm which was delivered from the rock bodied thug.
Izuku slid back and then was restrained from behind by the thug with the unknown quirk.
The thug with the rock quirk started charging towards Izuku at full speed, a fist ready to punch the ever living daylights out of him.
But Izuku thought quick on his feet. He jumped up and used the rock bodied thug's face as a wall of sorts to redirect the body of the one who was restraining him so he could take care of the restrainer in a easier way than having to face the other thugs head on.
Izuku's feet hit the ground as the restrainer's body was redirected so that his back was facing the thugs.
Izuku then bent down and threw a backwards elbow into the restrainer's eye, letting Izuku out of the hold.
Izuku then spun around and slashed the restraining thug's shoulder, then going in to stab him through the chest, hitting some vital organs.
Izuku quickly yanked the sword from his chest and stared down his still standing opponents, though the lizard quirk user decided to run away since he felt useless.
Now it was just Izuku and the rock bodied quirk user.
The rock bodied quirk user ran at Izuku, ready to throw a left hook but he missed, with Izuku ducking under.
"You know, you're just made of rocks right! Or so it seems, and most rocks can be broken once put under enough pressure! It must suck for you when it rains huh?!"
Izuku yelled with a grin on his face, finding his own last analysis sort of funny.
Izuku spun and swept the rocky thug's feet off the ground, making him fall.
Izuku then got up and started stomping on smaller parts of the rocky thug's body, breaking the fingers with ease.
Izuku's ears were filled with the screams of his opponent, it was like music to his ears.
"So how does it feel to be trampled on someone? And to put salt in the wound, someone quirkless?"
Izuku asked with a insane grin on his face as he crushed his opponent.
"P-please! We're sorry... Just stop!"
The rocky thug cried out in pain but Izuku didn't stop.
"Fuck that, you all made me feel miserable for the time i was here! If you guys just knew your place and not to shit on the weak, maybe this wouldn't have happened!"
Izuku said, continuing to stomp until the rock bodied thug was reduced to nothing but a pile of big rocks and rubble.
Izuku then walked over to the leader, realising that he hasn't done enough to him yet.
"You're the worst of these dumb fucks, you taunted me and did the best job at making me feel weak and so I'll give you the worst death."
Izuku said, giving a fake look of sympathy as he kicked the thug onto his back, plunging his sword into his right leg and earning a quiet scream of sorts, one you'd hear from yourself in a nightmare.
Izuku then plunged his sword into the thug's left leg and both of his wrists.
Izuku then finished what he did by stabbing him directly in the groin, making the thug flail around hopelessly like a fish out of water.
Izuku then approached the male who restrained him.
"You were the least horrible to me but you still kicked me into a pulp. But I'll make your death quick and painless so be greatful for that."
Izuku said, a gleeful smile still present on his face as he stabbed the thug right in the ear and through the brain, not being slowed down in the slightest.
Izuku then yanked the blade out of the thug's head and let him fall limp onto the granite floor, a pool of blood forming around his head.
Izuku looked down at the people he just killed, feeling nothing but satisfaction.
Izuku then approached the throwing knife still loged in the wall, putting it back into its holster and fleeing the scene.
Izuku panted as he stopped running, looking down and seeing that his vest was covered in blood which was somewhat visible.
Izuku sighed as he took it off, his shoulders feeling light for once in a while.
He approached a nearby puddle that was also deep enough, washing his vest with the dirty water to get most of the blood off.
Izuku then waited a few hours so it could dry up some, in the mean time, Izuku just reminisced about the people he just killed.
A smile was still on his face as he thought about the people and their bloody corpses.
Once the vest dried, he put it back on and started walking around the alleyways, hoping that the winged nomu was still alive somewhere and hopefully it didn't go back to the league since that was his only way of getting back to the league. Though, he wasn't as anxious about finding the nomu as before, he didn't care if he had to search for weeks or hell, even months, just as long as he gets back to the league. Then he'll show them how strong he's gotten and he'll no longer be a burden to them in his eyes, that was his new goal.
The End
Author's note: I hope you enjoyed this chapter, it was really fun to write. I liked the idea of Izuku kind of getting a split personality, his rather innocent self who still cares for others, and his more animalistic self who yearns to get what he wants, letting nothing get in his way, i think it'll be really fun to explore this split personality and how it could affect his decisions later down the line. We're about to reach the conclusion of this little arc, i think the next is the forest camp training arc so I'm excited to start writing that. I think that is all i have to say so goodbye!
