After Everything
Janice hopped down the hall of the warehouse toward the lamp room.
Helen had to turn on the light switch.
"Don't do that!" 070, the ceiling lamp, shrieked.
"Hey, what's the big idea," his companion, 068.5, said. He looked down at Janice. "Oh, hi, Miss Janice. Welcome to the lamp room."
"I've heard from Fanessa that there are a few Rainbows in here."
068.5 descended to the shelf that Rico, Aurora and Surf sat on. "Here they are."
"Don't forget about us!" a voice from the other side.
Rico looked at Janice. "Those two?" A pair of transparent Rainbows sat on the shelf, one blue, one silver. "They're from the arcade by Voyager. Meet Nebula and Andromeda."
The two nodded.
"I never knew my model came in such color palates," Janice said. "I kinda lost track of my model after I was sold."
A while later, Helen and Janice had returned to the office.
"May I tell you something?" Janice asked.
Helen nodded.
"I... I may have known who Maia killed," Janice said.
The house next door had a Rainbow lamp as well. Janice and Orville often visited her while everyone was gone.
Her name was Bianca and she and Janice were the best of friends.
Janice lost track of Bianca when she was moved to the office.
