I don't own True Blood

REVIEWS

Rwa: That's a lot of pressure. Thank you :D

Nurisiliel: I agree with you, this website is broken. No, Callum still likes to wear his shorts at least. He doesn't like how sand still finds a way into uncomfortable areas. Thanks for your review! :)

A00000000000000023: Godric is not sure who he acquired the allergic reaction from but I can say it definitely came from his father's side. The siren. Godric slept in the underwater caves of the island because he wasn't comfortable sleeping on land. Eventually, he wanted to be closer to Callum, and to do that, he had to finally sleep above the water. The soul isn't a metaphor. Callum gifted his soul to Godric. "A soulless creature" Now Godric will be able to share an immortal soul with Callum when they venture into the next life, he will be able to see the one he loves again. Don't worry about asking questions, I'm enjoying them. Thanks! :D

2StepsFromH3LL: Godric with a fishtail braid is to die for! :)

CaptainPorkChop: I love how you know the happiness won't last. I want them to be happy too. But if I just end the story here, I'll be disappointed with myself. XD

NoTFaMouUs: Well...only when he wants to be, lmao. But yeah, he is dominant. Glad you loved it! :D

Shamelessly Reckless: You know I had to prove that Godric was a dominant bastard. I live for it. Yeah, he could bleed out quickly. I'm so happy you noticed that. Silver is a blood thinner and it also didn't heal for a long time. I should make Callum bench press something in the next chapter, lmao. Thanks, girl. :D

Warning: Mature. Of course, it is. ~(◡ω⊙✿)

"When he died, all things soft and beautiful and bright would be buried with him."

-Madeline Miller

In the glow of the candlelights, Callum leaned against the stone wall of the cottage, fingers lifting another slice of peach from the opening of the can and bringing it to his mouth. He chewed the fruit lazily while deeply lost in his thoughts. Godric stood across from him, quiet now. Waiting for Callum to take all the information he fed him in.

Godric was a combination of two races that were similar enough to generate hybrid offspring. He was siren but he was also undine. Godric's mother was a water nymph and he never met his siren father.

Swallowing the chewed food, he licked at his bottom lip before confronting the eerie glow of his husband's eyes.

"Where is she?" Godric's eyes turned away and when he didn't answer immediately, Callum became concerned. Bending over, he placed the bottom of the can on the floor before stepping closer to his hybrid.

"She departed into the next life." Godric was finally answering while Callum pressed closer to him, fingers skimming from under his jaw to cup the underside of his neck and ear, lifting dark eyes to his own, "I'm sorry."

"Don't be, dear heart. She is at peace."

"How did she pass away?" Under his touch, Godric tensed. Callum's brows furrowed and he searched the shaded features of his lover with concern, "I'm so sorry." He apologized for his question, it might have come across as unsympathetic to ask so hastily.

"No," A soft breath from Godric, "Her companion died and she perished from grief."

Oh. Callum couldn't think of an appropriate response so he didn't give one. Instead, he collided their foreheads together gently and closed his eyes while Godric fastened tattooed arms around his waist.

Godric had spoken of undine not aging but sirens did, only it took eternities to reach the end of their lifespans, they outlived humans by hundreds if not thousands of years. Worry was latching a net around his heart. Godric would outlast him. Callum would die a mortal death and the hybrid would be left alone. Removing his hand from his lover's face, he enclosed his arms around pale shoulders. Crushing the shorter figure against him, his nose buried onto dark hair above a pale ear, "I'm mortal," Callum acknowledged. Godric drew rigid, arms painfully tightening around the human.

"I will die one day."

"Don't."

"There, there, little love. I'm not going anywhere for a long time. I just—We'll need to discuss the topic one day."

One of his arms was plummeting, palm instantly circling soothing motions over his lover's back, nevertheless, Godric remained tense.

Attempting to lighten the atmosphere, Callum snickered and nipped his blunt teeth against the helix of Godric's ear. "I'm sure after I die, you'll find someone else to pester."

Godric was immediately tearing himself out of Callum's hold. A wild, wide gaze was abruptly meeting his startled expression. "Godric, it's not a big deal." The human gasped out as the hybrid snarled with what he assumed was irate distress, deadly teeth in front of his face. "There will be no one else!"

The fierce gleam in his lover's irises drowned Callum and he swallowed hard, releasing a quiet, "Alright."

Hushing while pulling the growling siren back against him, he concentrated on calming his husband as lasting worry pooled in his stomach. Callum reciting 'Godric is not Arethiusei.' mentally helped dissipate the worry. Just because the hybrid's mother couldn't survive after her mate's death didn't mean Godric would succumb to the same fate.

"I close my eyes, thinking that there is nothing like an embrace after an absence, nothing like fitting my face into the curve of his shoulder and filling my lungs with the scent of him."

(4 years later)

Skin-kissed, calloused fingers paused their work on building the crab trap. Hazel green eyes lifted to the blue waters when the approach of his lover could be sensed deep within him, now possible because of the bond that linked them to each other, developed completely, once he marked Godric four years ago.

Callum was approaching the age of twenty-two and stood at the final height of five feet and eleven inches. He was satisfied with his size. After all, Godric stood at five feet and eight inches.

...Alright, so their sizes were not a tremendous difference but Callum was at least delighted that the phrase 'little mate.' Godric used, in the beginning, was currently spun and wielded back against him, in the form of 'little love.'

Callum climbed to his bare feet, using his palms to brush the warm, dry sand off his bare legs, he reached up afterward and tighten his hair back into the messy bun that he had fastened that morning with a thick leather thread. After, he strolled toward the ocean in front of him. Enthusiasm had him rushing forward to greet his lover after a long week apart. Callum didn't wait for Godric's transformation, he couldn't wait to wrap his lover in a tight embrace. When a dark head emerged from the tropical blue water in front of him, hazel eyes scanned the features of his timeless hybrid, falling to study the disheveled fish braid that curved over a pale shoulder and rested against an inked collarbone. Callum entered the waters and pulled his purring Godric against him.

He'd pick his lover up if it was possible. But when Godric was in his aquatic form, his tail was massive, and he was twice the length of his upright height while in the blue waters.

Callum's rear now rested on the shallow seafloor with Godric halfway in his arms, and the hybrid huddled against his bare chest, they met each other with a deep kiss. His palms roamed over his husband's back, dipping down to trail over the smooth, pale tail. A clawed, webbed hand was curving up his mandible, and cupping his face as they kissed.

"My Callum," Godric murmured against his lips with a soft greeting when the kiss evolved into gentle caresses.

"I've missed you," Callum muttered back while a clawed thumb was stroking over his cheekbone. Godric had traveled further this time, to raid sunken ships and boats for supplies, fulfilling Callum's wishes without taking innocent lives. The dedication that the hybrid demonstrated to him never failed to induce an intense ache within the deep cavity of his heart.

He reached up to pull Godric's hand from his face, glancing down and turning the scarred palm to his view, he bent his head down and kissed the aged flaw. A scarred wound that resulted from the burn of cursed silver, it took weeks to heal, and that recollection filled Callum with distress. Silver was deadly to Godric. If enough of it touched the hybrid's skin, it would kill him. He'd possibly be poisoned if he didn't bleed out first.

"It has healed ages ago. Stop fretting." The accented hum fell from his lover's lips and Callum grimaced.

"It can't happen again." Confronting the pretty, mercury eyes while his fingers uncurled from Godric's wrist, allowing his husband to escape his hold as the gentle waves rocked them gently by the seaside. "I've been careful not to touch anything that appears like silver."

Godric was shifting, reaching for the water damaged, leather satchel that was positioned against his side. A bag that he found and brought to Callum three years ago, only for the man to fasten it around the hybrid, informing him that he could carry more items back with it.

Curious, hazel eyes watched his husband flip open the veil of the bag with clawed hands before reaching in and pulling out a beautiful pendant that held a luminous mineral of blue and violet, and encircling that was a loop of shimmering diamonds and luxuriant sapphires. It was held by a thin golden chain and Callum's breath hitched. The lady who once owned this extraordinary necklace definitely came from wealth.

"Godric, where did you find that?" Hazel green irises were pulling away from the necklace to examine exceptional, mercury eyes. Godric was staring at him, skimming his features for a specific emotion on the human's face.

"In a pale vessel hidden under a wilderness of thick kelp. Here."

A webbed hand was clutching his, turning, and dropping the pendant into his waiting palm. Callum lifted a brown eyebrow at the gift. "You want me to wear a necklace made for a woman?"

His husband blinked, "Are you bothered that I would see you as delicate?"

Callum scoffed, "No, I—"

Godric cut him off, "Because that would be unreasonable. You are delicate, my heart. That is why I protect and provide for you."

"Oh, thank you." Callum deadpanned as silver-blue eyes trailed over his blank features. Then Godric was furrowing his brow, leaning closer with an intense expression. "You haven't been resting?" His husband declared, evidently discovering the dark circles under his hazel eyes. "Are you kidding? You know I can't sleep without you." The human dodged the observed question.

His reply was honest, he didn't lie. Callum tossed and turned, had more troubled nights than peaceful without his lover curled next to him. But with the haunting nightmares lingering over him, the past few days were unbearable. "Just really bad dreams." The human was leaning in, prepared to press another kiss against full lips.

He sulked when Godric abruptly pushed him away, using webbed palms to shove him back by his shoulders. "What dreams?" Godric was hissing with shadowed features and bared teeth, Callum rolled his eyes up toward the setting sky with irritation. He studied the hues of red and orange that streaked across darkened blue skies before reaching and sliding his arms around his rigid hybrid. "You need to chill out."

Why was Godric acting ridiculous? They were only nightmares. Only faded illusions his subconscious mind developed when he rested.

"Every night?"

"For the past three nights, yes," Callum answered his husband casually. "It's just nightmares, so stop baring your teeth and kiss me."

Godric's slanted eyes studied him for a period before his shoulders relaxed, the hybrid leaned forward and cupped Callum's smiling face, dragging the giddy human into the passionate liplock. Callum sighed into the kiss, his arms tightening around his lover in the process, happy that he was finally home.

"Like most, I was a mix of good and bad, anger and protectiveness, kindness and pride. But right now, I had only strangled fear and the promise of revenge."

Godric rested against his companion that night, his Callum was sated and sleepy against him, eyelids had long closed over pretty multicolored eyes. Mercury eyes watched his mate's bare chest and stomach rise and fall with relaxed, soft breaths. His human was on the edge of unconsciousness. Godric curled against the warm body and rested the side of his features against his Callum's chest, his breath brushing against his lover's nipple. Callum's arm that was under him, curled around his shoulders, fingertips resting against his gilled neck.

Godric purred soothingly, allowing his mate to wander into sleep while he waited for the Fanera to show herself. He would have ripped her to shreds for even looking in Callum's direction if he had been present and patrolling the waters around the island.

She must have happened upon his mate while the hybrid was on his journey, she wouldn't have continued to linger if she knew about Godric. The Fanera couldn't be that stupid. Curling lips over his teeth and gums with possessive, homicidal rage at the thought of tearing her apart while Callum watched before taking the human roughly on the coast while in his original form, caused Godric's cock to stir between his legs.

He had never mated Callum in his original form. He wanted too many times but he was larger with his tail and it would unquestionably hurt his mate. Godric had intended to use his blood during what would be a rough taking but had not been able to act out the fantasy since he had to take long expeditions through the expanse of the ocean to provide for his Callum.

The Undine waited until he nearly drifted into sleep. Comfortable and warm until Callum jerked next to him. Godric was instantly lifting and hushing his companion, dropping dry kisses against parted lips and whispering that it was only dreams. When Callum settled, snatched from her illusions, Godric smirked and rose to exit the loft with the intent to hunt her down and tear her apart.

Then her song met his ears, ghostly and haunting. Movement at his back had him turning his gaze to find Callum sitting up, and a snarl was falling from his lips at the sight of his mate's enthralled expression. The stupid wench dared to call his mate to her! Dared to take what was his! And Godric was steering his body around, lunging at Callum, straddling his mate, pressing him back into the bed, desperate, clawed hands pressing against a struggling chest.

"You are mine, Callum. Not hers." The hybrid growled before parting his lips and allowing his song to confront his human's ears, drowning out the sorun in the process.

Callum's struggling body went slack, half-lidded eyes peered up at him. Finding only him, hearing only him, and Godric smiled, proceeding to sing for his mate while trailing his hand down to grasp his human's hardening cock, careful not to dig sharp claws in. The hybrid stroked the swelling arousal, ignoring his aching own cock between his legs while moans escaped Callum's lovely lips.

He continued to sing as warm palms trailed up his thighs. Godric swatted away his mate's wandering hands before lifting himself to his knees. The hybrid shimmied up his mate's body while using his hand to steady Callum's cock, and he pressed down. The head of his mate's cock pushed past his rim and Godric groaned through his hum. Hands immediately grabbed at Godric's hips, a delighted moan falling from Callum's lips. Blunt fingernails dug into the hybrid's skin and he trembled with hands pressing into a warm, quivering abdomen.

Godric growled through the song before shifting on his legs and impaling himself on the length of his mate's cock. A startled "Ah!" escaped Callum and the human tightened his hold on Godric, staring up with large, dazed eyes while the hybrid released a pained grunt, trembling, his head lolled and mercury orbs rolled upward as the hot erection pressed deep within him. His voice unsteadily pushed out the broken song while tears filled the rim of his eyes.

Once the pain evaporated and only pleasure remained, his voice evolved into a deeper melody and Callum was hoisting himself up on one arm, meeting Godric, shifting to press a kiss against his lips. The hybrid let his mate kiss him for only a moment before resuming the song. Not permitting Callum to hear the other's song calling out to him even for a second. A warm hand wrapped around the hybrid's neglected cock and Godric let out a hiss before pushing his mate back down against their bed. Godric hoisted himself up, pressing palms against pectorals, enjoying the feel of Callum's cock sliding against his walls before he dropped back down, impaling himself again, moaning through the song when the bundle of nerves, located deep inside of him, was hit and pleasure pooled into his lower abdomen. The sounds escaping Callum were marvelous and one hand was squeezing his hip, assisting the human in thrusting up to meet him, the other warm hand stroked and thumbed his cock and balls, causing sighs and moans to flow from between the song.

Godric released first, tensing and coming into Callum's waiting hand with a masculine, broken growl, the song dying out in his throat. Half-lidded mercury eyes peered down at his mate, inspecting the dazed expression fall from Callum's face. Dark eyebrows furrowed up at him. The distant song from the Fanera had ended a short while ago. Confusion appeared first before frustration shadowed his human's features and Callum was removing his seed covered hand from Godric's cock and gripping the hybrid's hips.

With both hands clutching Godric, fingers digging brutally into his flesh, Callum hoisted his sated body only to shove him back down on the hard pulsing cock still buried inside him.

"That's it— Callum. So—so good for me."

He declared with a high pitched whine before audible moans escaped his throat as Callum searched for his relief, mercury eyes rolled when Callum brushed against the oversensitive bundle of nerves inside him and the human was sitting up and sinking blunt teeth roughly into Godric's scarred, mating bite. The hybrid didn't expect the second climax to spurt out of his half-hard cock but he came shuddering, crying out, his body tensing and tightening sufficiently around Callum, enough for the human to finally release with a profound groan, spilling hot seed deep inside him.

Teeth were pulling away from him only to press sweet kisses against his satisfied features. "Love you."

"I am yours," Godric confessed as Callum slid his hands around to curl fingers under the back of the hybrid's thighs and he was lifting Godric off of him. Once his mate's sated cock slipped free, he was lowering them back onto the bed. With Godric sprawled out on his human's body, warm fingers buried into the hybrid's hair, above the messy braid while another warm palm roamed over his tattooed back soothingly.

"Next time you want to ride me, just ask. You don't have to hypnotize me to get what you want."

"But where's the fun in that?" Godric inquired against his mate's collarbone, receiving a delighted chuckle that rumbled underneath his ear. Fingers scratched at the scalp of his skull gently, causing his eyes to flutter shut and a purr to subconsciously pour out of his lips. He'd hunt down the sea hag when Callum fell back into a deep slumber.

He would strip the Fanera's flesh from her bones for her grave offense.
