Chapter 9; Exam Arc pt. 9
What, no obligatory swear warning this time? Slacking.
This is what we like to refer to as an "oopsie" in the professional world, Mr. Beta man.
Early Monday morning, 219 days until U.A. Entrance Exam
"So…" Kyoka trailed off, staring at Izuku out of the corner of her eye as she joined Katsumi and Izuku outside the train station the two took to get to school, "Did you get a haircut or something?"
Katsumi scoffed, "A little off the mark there Jackie."
"Not all of us like to be rude, you rabid Pomeranian." Kyoka jabbed before turning her attention back to Izuku, "But seriously, what's with the get-up."
Izuku huffed underneath the three scarfs that he wrapped around his head and neck, "I got a perk recently, but it made sunlight hurt me."
Kyoka quirked a brow at the brief description, "Why would you pick up a perk like that?"
"It wasn't my choice," Izuku grumbled.
"Didn't you say you got it from some crazy blond bitch in an ally?" Katsumi asked.
"I'd figure you and Izuku would've picked a more romantic place for your first time." Kyoka deadpanned, although it was ruined by the smirk fighting for a place on her lips. "You know, like a love hotel, or a bush in the park."
"First off, fuck you." Katsumi said, pointing an accusatory finger at Kyoka, who was now sporting a shit-eating grin, "Second off, it was a different crazy blond bitch."
"And it wasn't like that." Izuku was glad his face was hidden beneath the scarves, as he was sure it would be glowing with a blush.
"But she did steal a bloody kiss from you and give you demon herpes." Katsumi added, annoyed.
"What, you frustrated you didn't get to be his first kiss?" Kyoka covered her mouth to hide her teasing snicker.
"Listen, I'm the childhood friend here, I have some rights damn it," Katsumi grumbled, looking at the ground as her face bloomed into a blush.
"Can we change the subject?" Izuku waved a gloved hand in between the two, reminding them that he was there.
"Sure," Kyoka shrugged, "So what did you gain from that perk of yours?"
"Well, I can ignite my blood." Izuku started in a false cheery voice, "But I haven't looked at the specifics of anything yet."
Izuku navigated to the skill,
Burning Blood LV4;
You can ignite your blood, causing anyone touching it to take damage!
Deals 2d4 damage per second of exposure to burning blood, lasting up to 4 seconds.
'The flavor text for this seems kind of lacking…' Izuku thought as he explained the details of the skill to the two.
"Yeah, I have no idea why."
"That seems to be the case with this perk in general actually."
Izuku navigated to the perk in question and examined it,
Demonic Blood LV1;
Corrupted Blood now runs in your veins, boosting various attributes of yourself at the cost of weakness to most sharp objects, sunlight, and getting angry. Try not to eat people.
1% Bonus to HP Regen
-99% Bonus to Light resistance
-99% Bonus to Slash resistance
-99% Bonus to Rage Condition
1% Reduction to all other conditions
1% Reduction to all other resistances
'Should I be worried?' Izuku asked as he conveyed the details of the perk.
"About the lack of flavor description or the massive debuffs you got from this?"
'Both, but the text is an issue I don't know the ramifications of.' He thought with a scowl, "But it is annoying to have such extreme weaknesses.'
"Grind the class, the weaknesses will soften as the level increases."
'Noted.' Izuku hummed.
"So if you're deathly allergic to sunlight now, why are you even coming to school?" Kyoka asked.
"I didn't have the time to work something out with the school and I'll be damned if I miss these exams." Izuku huffed, "I'm sure my grades have slipped because of how much I've missed already, I'm not letting it slip any further."
'Although I could probably convince All Might into getting me a spot in the recommendation test.'
"Are you going too?"
'Hell no, if I can't pass the normal test then I don't deserve to get in.'
"Good Boy"
"Fair enough, although the schools would probably work something out if you said it was a quirk related issue." Kyoka suggested, "And if they refused to then you could probably make bank from a discrimination lawsuit."
"It's simpler to do this." Izuku hadn't thought about that, but he really didn't need to go through a process like that.
"Eh, just a thought." Kyoka shrugged.
The trio continued in silence for a time.
"So, isn't it hot under all of that?" Kyoka asked as the school gates appeared in the threesome's sight.
"Not really." Izuku shrugged.
"It probably helps that he was hot before he buried himself," Katsumi said with an impressively straight face, only marred by a blush.
"... Was that an attempt at genuine flirting?" Kyoka asked after a moment of stunned silence.
"Eat my entire ass, Jackie!" Katsumi barked before storming off, face beat red.
Late Saturday Evening, 214 days until U.A. Entrance Exam
"In hindsight, this seems like a rather lame first date idea." Izuku fidgeted under the glow of a streetlight, a picnic basket making its way from one nervous hand to the other. A thousand anxious thoughts ate at him, from the most recent about the quality of the date idea, all the way to how stupid he probably looked in the black button-up shirt his mother had gotten her hands on.
"Well, a walk in the park and a picnic seem like pretty decent ideas."
"But usually those are done during the day, trying to do them at night would seem like you're trying to kidnap someone or do the deed outdoors."
"Thanks, that really helps." Izuku sighed, maybe he should've picked something else as a first date.
Like an arcade.
Maybe a restaurant.
Knowing Katsumi, an underground fighting arena probably would've been appropriate as well.
He was starting to think anything would've been better for a first date than this, especially since they could also treat it as them celebrating finishing finals.
"Or you could've invited her to hang out at your place~"
'I know where you're going with that, stop it.' Izuku scolded his system, memories of his fight with Katsumi rising in his mind against his will, more focused around her state of undress at the end.
"You don't know what I was going to suggest, maybe you should get your mind out of the gutter. I was just going to make some suggestions on how the two of you could start your summer off right~"
A soft cough behind Izuku disrupted his train of thought, saving his system from his sputtering rebuke.
He had made a bad habit out of ignoring the radar empathy gave him, he should have noticed that someone had been approaching him based on how nervous they were, although there was familiar anger boiling under that.
He should probably talk with Katsumi about that, it couldn't have been good for her health.
"Hey, Katsumi, I hope this isn't bad-" Izuku sheepishly started, turning to face his childhood friend, only to interrupt himself when he got a good look at her, "Oh wow."
"What, do I look that bad?" Katsumi asked, red-faced as she fidgeted with a short sleeve of the soft yellow sundress she wore.
"What- No!" Izuku sputtered, "You look good!"
"Then fucking say that!" She huffed, her face growing redder as she looked away. Izuku worried for a moment that he had offended his friend, then remembered he had an ability to sense a person's emotions.
He took comfort in that the most negative emotion she was feeling was a small amount of annoyance, most of it being happiness and awkward embarrassment.
"Alright, I think you look great!" Izuku teased in a rare moment of confidence.
Judging by Katsumi's cherry-red face, he felt like he was making the right moves.
"Thanks… you look good too." He heard her mumble, before continuing in a louder voice "So what are we doing?"
"I originally thought a walk in the park and a picnic would be a good idea, but I've been second-guessing myself…" Izuku sheepishly admitted.
"What did you bring?" Katsumi pointed at the basket.
"Uh… Karashi Mentaiko Rice Balls?" Izuku hesitantly answered, "If you want to we can go somewhere else-"
"Alright," Katsumi interrupted, looping an arm through Izuku's, "Let's do this."
"A-are you sure?" Izuku stammered at the sudden contact.
"Yeah, I told you I just want to spend time with you," Katsumi answered, refusing to look Izuku in the eye while doing so. "So how did you convince your mom to let you do this, or did she take you off house arrest?"
"I think she only let me out of the house because she knew I would be with you." Izuku gave a nervous chuckle, as they started their way through the semi-dark park, "Although I think Toshinori buttered her up for me."
"What makes you say that?"
"He visited us earlier this week and financed a trip for me and her to see Dad for a couple of days."
Katsumi looked like she had swallowed a frog at hearing that, "Is he fucking rich or something?"
'Well, he is the number one hero.' Izuku had to bite back the snarky comment. He trusted Katsumi to be able to keep it a secret, but it wasn't his place to tell it.
"He's made a couple of good investments over the years," It technically wasn't a lie, All Might had made some good investments from what he told Izuku, it just so happened most of them had been in himself or in the contracts he'd made for advertising.
"No shit." Katsumi grumbled, "Paying for two people to fly to the States isn't fucking cheap."
"... He paid for the entire trip, Katsumi." Izuku softly corrected.
"Izuku, no offense, but how the fuck did you get this guy's attention?" Katsumi asked, stunned.
"I rushed a villain that was trying to kill my friend when several heroes stood to the side." Izuku grinned, "Best decision of my life honestly."
"Do something that stupid again and I will break your dick," Katsumi growled, clutching Izuku's arm while doing so.
"I can't promise that I won't," Izuku nervously chuckled.
"But I can," Katsumi said in a deadly serious voice. Serious enough that Izuku couldn't tell if it was her being hyperbolic or not.
"There are ways to interpret her statement in a way that would be fun for you."
'I'm not going to risk that with an angry Katsumi.' Izuku quickly decided to change the topic, "So where did you get your dress?"
"Mom took me on a shopping trip after I burned most of my old clothes." Katsumi shrugged, "It took longer than it had any right to, but the old hag had fun using me like a dress-up doll."
"You burned your clothes?" Izuku asked with a raised brow.
"New me, new wardrobe." Katsumi huffed like that was enough explanation.
"I get that, but why burn them?" Izuku rephrased his initial question.
"The fuck was I supposed to do with them?"
"Donate them to a thrift store?" Izuku offered, earning a baffled look from Katsumi.
"Kacchan, have you been to a thrift store?" Izuku asked, slowly starting to remember that his friend's family was significantly better off than his.
"I don't have to answer that."
"So you haven't." Izuku chuckled.
"Are you planning to walk us around the park before we eat, or am I going to have to fight you for it?" Katsumi asked in a not so subtle bid to change the subject, even if she raised the point that the two had been walking for a while now.
"I didn't have a specific place picked out, so we can set up anywhere you like." Izuku shrugged.
"Alright," Katsumi scanned the area, Izuku hadn't been paying any attention as the two meandered through the park, passively following the path while chatting with Katsumi. To him, it looked like a rather simple park, with lights set up along the path every so many feet to keep it visible. There was also a pond off to their left some distance away that reflected the pale moonlight.
It almost distracted Izuku from how off-putting a park is when empty and bathed in the black of night.
He really missed being able to walk in the sunlight without taking damage.
"How about by the lake?" Katsumi looked up at him with a smirk and a raised brow, "That's some romantic shit, right?
"That sounds good to me," Izuku returned the smirk. The two made their way across the short distance and set about setting up the simple blanket Izuku had brought for them to sit on.
The two enjoyed the meal in silence, watching as the surface of the lack occasionally rippled from some fish swimming two close to its surface.
"Hey Izuku," Katsumi broke the silence with an uncharacteristically soft tone, "Mind if I ask you a personal question?"
"Sure," Izuku turned his full attention to the blond, "I think that's the point of a date, to get to know another person."
"Would you have gone with me on a date before my…" Her brow knit together as she looked for the right word, before settling on, "transition?"
"What do you mean, Kaachan?"
"I meant would you date me if I had a dick, Deku." She growled, the familiar bark coloring her tone again, "Back before your game decided I needed some tit's."
"Oh!" Izuku's eyes widened as he considered the question.
"To be honest," He started, trying to pick his words in the best way he could, "Your personality was the main reason I would've said no back then."
"Probably some confidence issues as well, but mostly the fact you were an asshole." Izuku chuckled awkwardly, "That was also why I was a little… let's say 'resistant' to your feelings."
"Resistant seems like a weak word." Katsumi chuckled softly, "So it's not because of my new body you're willing to date me?"
"Kacchan the reason I'm willing to date you is that you stopped bullying me." Izuku deadpanned, "Do I need to tell you I'm bi for you to believe that your body isn't the reason?"
"It would certainly help if you were," Katsumi said with a small, awkward smiled
Izuku continued to deadpan, watching as Katsumi tried to figure out why he was looking at her like that. He could almost hear the gears grinding in her head by the time her face lit up in realization, a blush soon joining it.
"Oh." She mumbled, looking away in a rare moment of bashfulness.
"Kacchan, I like you for you." Izuku put a reassuring hand on the blond bomber's shoulder, "Although I will admit, I think I like you more as a girl."
He lifted his hand from her shoulder, gently poking her in the cheek, continuing in a teasing tone, "Whether that's because your body's softer, or because your personality is, would be something I haven't decided yet."
"Pfft," Katsumi dryly laughed as she pushed the finger away.
The two sat in comfortable silence, watching the moon slowly rise to its apex through the pond's reflection.
"Now that it looks like I won't be killing the mood."
"For sweet-talking a girl on your first date, you gained 4 Charisma Points!"
'Huh, All Might was right.' Izuku thought to himself with a smirk, 'dating may be the quickest way for me to level up charisma.'
"Is that really surprising?"
"Anyways, I think there's an event tied to you holding her hand, so you can probably get even more by doing that."
Izuku felt his face heat up at such an… intimate action.
Sure, he'd seen Katsumi nude from the waist up.
And had her pressed up against him in that state.
And also shared a bed with her.
But all of those had been accidental or circumstantial. Holding her hand intentionally was something that seemed far too romantic for his young heart to handle.
"You literally tried to kill a man last week, and I've been in your head long enough to know how intimate you really want to get with her."
'There's a difference between fantasy and actually doing something!' Izuku mentally shouted as he looked down at Katsumi's hand. He hadn't noticed it before, but she had let her nails grow out over the last couple of weeks and seemed to have recently gotten them done.
He wasn't surprised in the least that she painted a grenade design onto them.
"You know you want to~"
It was times like this he was glad his system could only communicate via text and a screen, he could almost sense someone whispering that in his ear.
He had no idea why the figure that popped into his head was a girl or had pink hair.
Or was a pixie for that matter.
Izuku thickly swallowed, internally psyching himself up as he slowly inched his hand across the picnic blanket, each agonizing inch causing Izuku's anxiety to jump another thousand feet and his excitement to jump twice that.
He tried to look casual about it, but there was a fear in the back of his mind that Katsumi would notice his rigid posture or the fact he was rapidly switching his focus from the lake, to Katsumi's face to see if she'd noticed his action, down to her hand to see how much was left of the gap, only to return back to the pond for a fraction of a second so as not to look suspicious.
After a moment's eternity, the tip of Izuku's finger brushed against Katsumi's hand with all the force of a butterfly's kiss.
He stared at Katsumi from the corner of his eye, waiting for a reaction.
Empathy was no help at all, he couldn't sense anything through the chaos of his own emotions.
Seeing nothing that would indicate he should stop, Izuku bravely plunged forward, wrapping Katsumi's soft and slender fingers in his own.
This time he got a reaction, Katsumi resolutely stared into the lake as if it held the secrets of the universe and she would lose it all if she blinked.
But the blush that dusted her cheeks showed how aware she was.
Izuku felt her fingers twist in his own, and he felt a spike of fear that he had moved too fast, that he shouldn't have crossed this barrier and now he had made the situation awkward.
Before he had the chance to pull back his hand, or even spiral too far into his own internal ramblings, he felt Katsumi's fingers tighten around his own.
A soft squeeze was all he needed to knock him from his anxious spiral.
The two remained there for a moment, enjoying the act of intimacy with burning faces.
That moment was sadly interrupted by a pop-up screen.
"Requirements met, activating e̸͈̓v̸̤̰͐e̸͈̽n̴͕̉t̵̩̺̄"
"Quest Unlocked:"
Should've used Protection!
You committed the degenerate act of holding Katsumi's hand, now you must deal with the life-altering consequences!
Requirements
Adopt the slime child
Or
Kill the slime child
Rewards
The joys of fatherhood, and a piece of armor.
Or
The guilt of Filicide, and a piece of armor.
'Wait, what?' Izuku had barely finished the thought when a feeling of violent sickness came over him.
"Hrk," He lifted his other hand to cover his mouth and turned away from Katsumi, barely noticing her make a similar noise, it felt like something was trying to crawl up his throat.
He tried to let go of Katsumi's hand, attempting to flee and find somewhere to puke but found his hand was stuck.
Not because Katsumi held it in an iron grip, but it felt like something had enveloped the two's hand while he was distracted.
He frantically looked down at whatever was binding the two, finding that their arms were encased in a green blob going up to the two's wrists and seeming to rise.
"What the hell-" Katsumi wheezed out, only to be cut off by a tendril of green slime slithering from her mouth, joining the growing mass.
'What the hell is going on game!' Izuku mentally cried out as a similar tendril forced its way from his throat.
"I have no idea, I just knew something would happen when you held Katsumi's hand!"
Izuku let that train of thought crash as he focused on the more pressing matter, mainly the sphere of slime that had reached up to their elbows now.
"Fuck it!" Katsumi shouted, slamming her other hand into the blobby mass with an explosion that made Izuku's ears ring for a moment.
It did seem to work, the sludge seeming to recoil before leaping off their hands, curling up on the grass and undulating rapidly.
"What the fuck is that!" Katsumi shot up, taking an aggressive stance.
"I don't know, but I think whoever's in charge of my games system had this prepared as an event." Izuku explained as he rose, "I got a quest to 'subdue' it, although what that actually means isn't specified."
"So we're fighting that thing?" Katsumi gave an almost feral smirk, "Because it reminds me of that slime asshole from a few weeks ago."
Izuku studied the slime for a moment as its movements grew sluggish, finding that it did look a similar shade of sickly green as the villain that had nearly worn both of them as a skin suit, although its slime was significantly more translucent than the villains had been.
"Let's see what it does before doing anything too rash," Izuku started, watching as the slime seemed to warp its body into something more complex than a blob, its body elongating and splitting at both ends into a shape that seemed vaguely humanoid.
It slowly lifted itself off the ground, barely standing as tall as a small child would. Its features were still muddled, so what Izuku assumed to be ahead was nothing more than a smooth ball, and its limbs ended in rounded lumps.
Its 'head' seemed to look around the park, confusion radiating from it. It's gaze finally seemed to settle on the two teens.
It tilted its head as it studied the two, its body subtly changing all the while, the lumps that where its hands and feet slowly warping and morphing into more human-like appendages.
It looked down at its newly formed hand, flexing its fingers before it looked back at the two and pointing at Izuku.
"That's probably the creepiest thing I've seen this month," Katsumi grunted.
The words had barely left her mouth before the slime began to start trembling, muffled noises coming from its face, which was quickly growing more defined with a nondescript face and ears taking shape on the head, the rest of its slime shifting to be some approximation of hair.
"F-Fa, Fa..." A small hole opened on the slime's face, right along where its mouth would be. The hole quickly split to reveal sickly yellow teeth, "F-Father?"
The slime's voice sent a shiver down Izuku's spine, reminding him far too much of the echoing tone that had nearly been the last thing he heard several weeks ago.
The slime turned its face towards Katsumi, finger following suit as closed eyes formed on its face. The creature slowly opened its newly formed eyes, squinting in the night's soft light as if it were noon on a sunny day.
"M-Mother?" It asked as it looked at Katsumi, recognition filling its red eye's
"Alright, fuck that noise," Sparks danced across Katsumi's palms, "I'm in favor of blowing this thing up like Nagasaki."
"It hasn't done anything yet, Kacchan," Izuku put a hand on Katsumi's shoulder to prevent her from doing anything rash.
"Izuku, it looks like a fucking miniature of the asshole who's been haunting my nightmares for the past two damn months," Katsumi growled.
'Definitely going to ask about that later.' Izuku thought to himself, he hadn't given the incident too much thought given how much had happened to him over the last several weeks, but in hindsight, he wasn't surprised the incident was still affecting Katsumi.
He was more surprised by how he wasn't experiencing something similar.
"Kacchan, All Might basically turned that guy into mist." Izuku tried calming the angry bomber, "You can't just assault someone because they look like a villain."
"We just coughed that fucking thing up, I don't think it's a someone more it's a something," Katsumi said adamantly, "And it apparently thinks we're its parents!"
"We can't just kill it," Izuku retorted, equally adamant.
"What are you going to do, ask it about what the fuck just happened?" Katsumi dryly asked.
"That's actually not a bad idea," Izuku muttered under his breath as he quickly mulled over the thought. "I'm going to go do that."
"Izuku, wait!" Katsumi said, fear creeping in her voice as Izuku approached the slime.
"I know what I'm doing, Katsumi" Izuku tried to reassure the blonde, "Trust me."
"...If that thing even twitches wrong, I'm blowing it the fuck up." Katsumi threatened.
'That was easier than expected.' Izuku thought to himself as he slowly made his way to the slime child.
"That's one of the joys of having Charisma in the double digits."
'Maybe I should focus on getting Charisma higher then,' He mused for a moment before turning his attention back to the slime child, who was looking up at him with sickly red eye's.
"Hey, uh… Kid." Izuku started awkwardly, kneeling to be eye level with it, "Do you know what's going on?"
The child tilted its head in confusion at the question.
'Right, that might have been a little too vague.' Izuku thought with pursed lips, "Do you know how you got here?"
The child's eyes narrowed in thought, slowly stuttering out in a hoarse voice, "I-I'm here b-because Mother and F-Father made me…"
'Right, that answered nothing, but I got an answer.' Izuku thought for a moment on what his next question should be, settling on: "How did we "make" you?"
"I… I was sleeping…" The child slowly explained as it's face scrunched in thought, "I was- am in many pieces, still sleeping."
The child looked up at Izuku, an innocent smile on its face, "Mommy and Daddy put some of me back together."
"Ah, I see." Izuku nodded, just as confused as he was before. "What are you going to do?"
The child was taken aback, as if that was a question about something obvious, "I'm going to live with Mommy and Daddy!"
"Oh Hell no!" Katsumi roared from behind Izuku, earning a sharp look and a shush from the verdant haired teen.
"Uh… Me and Katsumi don't live together." Izuku turned back to the child.
"Then can I live with Daddy?" The child looked past Izuku, he assumed it was looking at Katsumi, "Mommy doesn't seem to like me that much."
"You're damn right I don't like you!" Katsumi shouted.
"You're not helping!" Izuku shouted back, turning back to the child, "I'm not exactly able to raise a child at the moment."
"But I want to stay with Daddy!" The child stomped, which made a soft plopping sound as it's foot returned to a mound before reforming as a foot, "I can help you!"
'I'm not going to be able to use a third option for this, am I?'
"Aren't you glad that you have a choice rather than just committing murder?"
'In a sense, but I wish it wasn't adopting a kid.' Izuku sighed, "I guess you can stay with me."
"At least until we find you someplace el-" Izuku was caught off by the slime child squealing and slamming into his chest, seeping through his shirt and wrapping tightly around his torso.
"Izuku!" Katsumi was standing over him an instant later, sparks dancing across her hand, "Are you okay?"
"I think so?" Izuku hesitantly answered, rising and patting his chest, feeling the squishy give of slime under his chest, "What just happened?"
"I'm going to help Daddy by protecting him!" He heard the child say, its voice coming somewhere around Izuku's left pec.
Before Izuku could respond to that, a window popped up with a soft ping:
"Quest completed!"
Should've used Protection!
Objectives met;
Adopt the slime child
'Well, that answers that question.' Izuku hummed softly.
"Hold still Izuku, I think if I angle it right, I can blast off that thing with only mild scaring to your chest." Katsumi's warning broke Izuku from his musings.
"Wait!" He threw his hands up to guard his face, "This is fine! Everything under control!"
"What the fuck do you mean under control?" Katsumi growled, sparks dancing in her palm like an illegal fireworks show "You've got a fucking slime ball strapped to your chest!"
"I think it's a reward from my Game, I think it's some sort of armor!" He hastily explained.
"I'm not armor silly," The slime giggled, tickling his chest, "I'm your daughter!"
"What kind of armor is that?" Katsumi pointed to his chest, "What good will a bunch of slime do to protect you?"
"That's a good question," Izuku lowered his hands since he was mostly sure Katsumi wasn't going to accidentally maim him trying to help, "Game, what's the armor's stats?"
Unnamed Slime Child Armor:
+1% to Blunt Resistance
+1% to Slash Resistance
+1% to Pierce Resistance
+1% to Fire Resistance
+1% to Ice Resistance
+1% to Wind Resistance
+1% to Electric Resistance
"Well, it reduces most of all damage I can take." Izuku started explaining, "Although it's not by much."
"How much?" Katsumi asked simply.
"...One percent?" Izuku weakly answered.
"Hold still, I'm blasting it off." Katsumi rubbed her hands together as she prepared a large explosion.
"I'm sorry I'm weak, but if Daddy can find more of me I'll be stronger!" The slime child explained.
"See Katsumi, she can improve!" Izuku squeaked as he crossed his arms over his chest, just as much to protect himself as it was for the slime that was latched onto him.
"Give me one good reason why I should let that thing stay on your chest?" Katsumi lowered her hands, although kept them ready to let rip an explosion.
"Because if you do, I'll take you to an underground fighting arena?" Izuku weakly offered, it was a Hail Mary since he wasn't entirely sure that would be something she'd be interested in.
"..." Katsumi glared at him for a tense moment, Causing Izuku's mind to spiral through just how many ways he might have fucked up.
"It better be a damn good fight." Katsumi finally huffed.
'Wait, that worked?' Izuku blinked in confusion, lowering his arms.
"Look at that, you knew her better than you thought."
'I guess so,' Izuku marveled at his luck before his thoughts turned to the promise he just made, 'How am I going to find a fight club.'
'Fuck, how am I going to explain any of this to mom?'
-Omake: Dungeons and Dragons and Fight Clubs-

Igucci-gang: [Back on the previous topic, who here has D&D experience, and how much?]
Mightyfan#9: [I've got none, but I'm a quick learner.]
I'mFeelingstabby: [I barely knew about it before today, so I've got none.]
DustBunny: [I'm no expert, but I've poked around the books some]
NotDeadpool: [I used to play with myself a lot]
Igucci-gang: [Dude]
NotDeadpool: [Not that way]
NotDeadpool: [But the other was is also true]
Igucci-gang: [Alright, then]
Igucci-gang: [Me and NotDeadpool will figure out who'll DM, we'll update everyone when we've got something worked out]
NotDeadpool: [Sounds good.]
I'mFeelingstabby: [I'm looking forward to playing with you boys~]
DustBunny: [I swear to God if any of you end up being shitty players, I'll have Kurogiri warp you to the bottom of Tartarus]
Mightyfan#9: [I'm looking forward to it!]
Mightyfan#9: [Not the Tartarus warping]
Mightyfan#9: [Please don't do that.]
It's times like this where I'm glad I like to be vague on deadlines and estimations, because this chapter was meant to have a hell of a lot more in it, and I realized it was already at publishing length by the time I finished the date scene.
Anyway, hope y'all enjoyed the chapter.
Have a good whatever now!
