Chapter 12
Harmony talked with Cara about her encounter with the guy they were looking for. His name was Drake which would help them figure out who he was. Still Harmony still wasn't too keen on telling the guys. Cara still was working on convincing her otherwise knowing how much of an effect this will have on her. "Are you still talking to this guy?"
"Somewhat." Cara rolled her eyes at her.
"Oh geez," Spike came up to them seeing them talking.
"What are you two going on about?" He looked at them.
"Girl talk sorry," Harmony answered him.
"Love." He looked at her.
"Nope, I'm giving her advice about guy problems." Cara looked at him. "Harmony he is a dosche bag get rid of him." She left her standing there. Spike followed Cara to her desk sitting next to her.
"You giving Harmony relationship advice?"
"She asked I gave her my two cents." His hand went over hers holding it in his. The love that he felt for her was eternal. There was nothing else that he wanted more than her. She could tell he had been feeding, his skin color looked good. They way he looked to her was perfect. He had that dashing handsome guy look going for him that she loved.
He leaned in stealing a kiss from her lips scooting closer. She smiled at him a little kissing him back gazing into his blue eyes.
"Hey care bear," she heard her brother's voice.
"You haven't called me that since we were little." She looked over at him. "What do you want?"
"Do you want to go clubbing with me tonight?"
"You know, I can't dance unless you get me completely drunk then maybe," she shrugged. Spike laughed a little at that.
"Ask Angel," she suggested.
Derek left them alone as she leaned in to Spike not having much to do. Angel had her mostly patrolling and calling him for anything. Angel joked that she would be a good security guard for the place. Cara looked back noticing her brother was talking to her ex. "How awkward is this, thats my ex," she sighed at that.
The guy was still good looking, he had blue eyes and shaved blonde hair with a little bit of an outline of a mustache. Maybe it was because she had moved on and gotten over the fact that he moved and they couldn't be together due to locations of jobs.
"Spike, they are coming over here don't leave me alone," she looked at him.
"I'm not."
"Caraline, is that you?" he asked her.
"Yeah, hi nice to see you again." She hated this awkward feeling. "This is Spike my uh..husband." She said not sure what to say.
Spike looked at her a little surprised but went along with it. "Hi," he shook his hand.
"Right, my sister just got married they are newlyweds." Derek looked at her confused knowing what she was doing.
"What does he do?" Her ex asked her.
"I work with her," he answered him.
"Well it was nice seeing you again," Her brother said his goodbyes watching him leave.
"Married?" Derek looked at her.
"It worked didn't it? If I said boyfriend, he would be like well hey want to get a cup of coffee sometime?" Cara tried reasoning with him.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to put you in that position." She looked at Spike.
"I didn't mind love, it felt nice being your husband," he kissed her cheek.
"You know that blonde chick is hot over there," Derek looked at Harmony.
"She's a vampire Derek, so if you cheat on her she will kick your ass." Cara explained.
"I know you have extra strength, so Spike can't easily kick your ass right?"
"You're talking to a man who as killed two slayers in his life time. You're sister doesn't make it easy for me mate. I've fought her before, she's a bit more challenging than the others," Spike explained.
"It's all about speed." She looked at him. "Does it even bother to you that she's a vampire? I told her not to kill you by the way."
"Thanks, I think," Derek left them to go talk to her.
Cara looked back at Spike sighing at that. She felt his hand rubbing along her cheek. It was finally night time and they stood around the graveyard. Spike puffed his cigarette while she stood there holding a stake.
She took a few steps forward walking around. "Hey Angel," Cara said being able to sense his presence.
"Thought we could head to the library, Wes had a family emergency. Maybe we could do some research on this guy," Angel came up to her from behind a tombstone.
"No problem boss, come on Spike," Cara got his attention.
They headed to the library looking through books to see what the could find. Cara found what they were looking for in a book, that explained about the medieval times. "Spike, remember when I told you I was helping Harmony with guy advice?" Cara asked him.
"Yes," he answered.
"I know this isn't my place to say this but Harmony is kinda dating the guy we fought off, his name is Drake. She was going to tell you guys," Cara explained.
"She what?" Angel asked not too happy about it.
"Why didn't you tell me pet?" Spike questioned her.
"It wasn't my place but I didn't want things to start escalating. She didn't tell him where she worked is what she told me. Guys I'm sorry," Cara apologized.
"Don't be sorry but I'm glad you said something," Angel appreciated her honesty.
"You're honest that's all that matters," Spike took her hand in his.
"She's probably going to be mad at me. I had a valid reason to tell you guys right?"
"I'll talk to her tomorrow about this." Angel wouldn't let Cara get blamed for Harmony's mistake for not telling them.
"Don't worry about it love," Spike looked at her. "You did the right thing."
"He's right," Angel agreed with Spike. Cara showed Angel the information she got about Drake.
"Drake was a strong still is a bad guy it looks like. He is part vampire part demon falling into making a deal with the devil. Fell in love with a princess and when she refused him, that's when he pretty much went crazy," Angel said skimming through it
"Why do these stories end up having a woman involved?" Cara asked annoyed.
"Don't know," Angel answered her.
They got what they needed leaving the library, then headed to the bar for a drink. The bar had a large crowd but they were still able to find a place to sit. A waitress took their order and she came back with three beers. Cara took a few sips until she had to use the bathroom. There wasn't a long line to the women's bathroom. She was able to get in and get out pretty quickly.
Cara started to make her way past the crowd until someone blocked her way. She looked up seeing Drake in front of her. He looked at her realizing she looked identical to the woman he once loved. "It's you," he looked at her.
"It's you, the one who killed all those people. I punched you remember?" Cara folded her arms in front of him.
"I remember, you're a slayer you're strong." Cara tried moving past him as he blocked her way.
"What do you want?"
Before he could answer, she felt Spike looking for her. She looked the other direction and he disappeared when she turned around.
"Everything alright? I was starting to worry," Spike came up to her.
"He was in front of me, then he disappeared," Cara explained.
Spike lead her back at the table informing Angel what happened. They finished their beers heading outside to see if they could track him. Angel lead them to the side of the building walking around. "He's here," Angel looked at her.
"Look who decided to show up, why don't you bugger off?" Spike's tone was more than annoyed with Drake seeing him standing in front of them.
"This guy?" Angel questioned them.
"You're in my way," Drake spoke.
"More like you're in ours," Cara replied. Drake looked at her folding his arms noticing she had a little more attitude. It was something he knew he could deal with.
"What do you want?" Angel questioned him.
"Vengeance." Drake didn't mention her in front of them.
He pulled out his sword ready to fight. There was a long thin pipe in the trash Cara grabbed twirling it some. Drake wasn't really wanting to fight her but he did anyway. She went for him and he tried getting her with his sword. She blocked him with the steel pipe and he started to go for her with their weapons clanged togeather.
Drake started to see how strong she really was. Angel found something he could use to help her. He hit Drake from behind causing him to fall to the ground. Spike moved her out of the way allowing Angel to fight him. Drake got some hits in along with Angel making it a challenging fight. Drake got fed up hitting Angel hard enough causing him to fly a few feet away knocking him out.
"Angel," Cara went over to him. Spike turned around seeing Drake was gone. Within a few minutes, Angel opened his eyes slowly getting up.
"You alright?" Spike asked him.
"Yeah," Both of them helped him up taking him to the apartment. They took the elevator to the second floor. When the doors opened, they walked down the hall making it to Cara's door. She got the door unlocked letting them in. Angel looked around seeing how big her place was. "Nice place, looks like your large windows has blinds," Angel noticed them.
"They are shut most of the time," Cara assured him. Angel sat on the couch feeling a little out of it from fighting. She went to grab him a wet cloth putting it on his head. Angel laid on the couch with the cloth on his head. Cara knelt next down next to Angel. "Your welcome to stay here for a while." Cara offered.
"Thanks," he said appreciating it.
Cara left him alone to rest, Spike followed her into her room shutting the door behind them. She changed into her pajamas then getting into bed. Spike was already in there waiting for her. He leaned in kissing her lips wrapping his arms around her. She pulled back looking at him. "Do you think we should elope?" She asked him.
"I'm not wanting to rush things," he said looking at her.
"I know a way to do it, but I was just curious on what you thought." Spike didn't seem to mind that she asked still not wanting to rush things. He loved her enough to see himself being with her in that way just not now.
"I can see myself with you like that. You're the only one I want to be with," he looked at her.
"I do too, I'm just sick of trying to find the right guy. Then having to date again if it doesn't work. It gets really old after a while," she replied.
"I know what you mean pet," Spike held her lying next to her.
"I love you," she looked at him you hung his cheek.
"I love you too," he kissed her briefly.
"No I mean I love you I mean love love you," Cara said making sure he got it.
He smiled at that a little. "Yes, love I know you love me."
"Just checking." Spike kissed her again. He was affectionate towards her always showing her how much he loves her no matter where they were. He started kissing on her a little while holding her.
"Again?" She giggled.
"I always want you." They kissed with things leading from one thing to another. Cara felt her underwear sliding off. He was already naked underneath the covers getting on top sliding in thrusting in deeply. Their moans were loud enough for them to hear but knew Angel was out front trying to stay quiet. They finished falling asleep which seemed short with the sun shining through the window.
Cara opened her eyes hearing her phone going off. She grabbed it off the charger seeing her brother was texting her. Spike woke up seeing her on her phone reading her text. Cara rolled her eyes at it putting it back on the table lying back down. She felt soft kisses on her neck. "Sleep well?" He asked her.
"It felt short, maybe twenty minutes." She answered him.
"Angel, left earlier I heard him while you were asleep," Spike looked at her.
She could feel his hardness rubbing up against her as he laid behind her. Cara had moved a certain way to get comfortable and as she faced him she hit it causing him to breath heavily feeling what little pleasure it gave him.
Cara knew he wanted her again by the way he looked at her. She saw nothing but love and desire in his eyes. his hands went under her long pajamas top letting it slid over her head leaving her in nothing. He wanted to feel her skin against his as he leaned in kissing her. She pulled back looking into his eyes so into him not caring what was going on around her. "Be with me love," he looked at her.
"Forever." She leaned in kissing him.

Angel sat at his desk going to through his paperwork. Derek came in his office seeing him sitting there. "Hey man," he said coming into he room.
"Hi, you seen your sister yet?" He asked him.
"No, everything alright?"
"She let me stay at her place for a while on the couch, I took a hard hit with the guy we're after," Angel explained.
Derek noticed something must have been bothering him. Angel seemed like he had something on his mind by the way he looked at him.
"Ok, what's bugging you?" Derek asked him.
Angel sighed thinking a moment before answering him. "I hate to admit that I almost envy their relationship. I having someone to just be close to and be there for me to comfort me," Angel admitted.
"Look, my sister has dated some guys in the past. Some were nice, some were complete idiots, I look at Spike and I can tell he loves her. He would take care of her if it all came down to it," Derek explained.
"I would too, I wouldnt let anything happen to her." Angel replied.
"Wait a second, I thought you were for this Buffy girl," Derek wondered.
"I was, it's been a long time since we been together. I really don't see much of her anymore. Time has really changed things, I care about her but my feelings aren't what they use to be."
"Ok, so what are you saying?"
"I guess what I'm saying is I'm in love with your sister," Angel admitted.
"Her and Spike are inseparable, you better learn to move on," Derek advised him.
"I didnt expect for this to happen, it's just shes been there for me too. After last night when she put the wet cloth on my head, just making sure I was ok made me miss that." Derek sighed not sure what to say to all of this.
"I get it, but you have to respect them. All you can do is be her friend."
"I know," Angel sighed.
Cara walked in with Spike behind her in to Angel's office. "Hey guys," she said seeing Angel and her brother.
"I texted you," Derek reminded her.
"I know sorry, so you and Harmony huh?" She questioned him.
"I don't know maybe," he shrugged.
"You know she isn't the brightest one in the box mate," Spike looked at him.
"I'm beginning to see that thanks," Derek looked at him.
"Let him figure it out," Cara looked at Spike. His hand grabbed hers kissing it.
"Whatever you say love." Angel shook his head at that seeing how completely taken back by her he was. Sometimes, he wished it was him in Spike's place missing that feeling of having someone.
