Chapter 9
Crescent dreams
Crescent had just woken up to an empty street looking around seeing it was night time and while she walked around she spotted Ruby in the distance all alone fearing in case this is going to be the same nightmare all over again she walked up to see another of herself standing next to Ruby pausing in confusion when she heard herself speaking "so you see this is what wrong with me" she heard the other her saying.
"so all those you have killed was because you were not in control of your emotions and including your lover!?" she heard Ruby asking in a hurtful manner which made the other her to nod in response "did you felt guilty for it?" she faced herself.
She watched in shock seeing her drop to the ground and crying "yes I did I felt guilty every time I killed some one I tried to fight it but in the end I gave up!" she heard herself saying looking at the ground in sadness.
She watch as Ruby kneeled down and placed a hand on her face "I am sorry for what had happened to you please let us help you" she herself felt tears beginning to run down at the scene.
"you see no matter how bad you think you are there is always some people how are willing to help you out" she turned to see her lover standing there with a smile on her "all you have to do is just tell them in and they will help you".
"but it isn't easy I have tried many times but I end up in the same place over and over again" she turned away from her "maybe it better if I just die" she was suddenly pinned to the ground looking up she saw her lover crying and a suddenly felt of pain shooting through her left cheek.
Gently rubbing the pain "don't ever say that my love" she saw her lover holding back her pain "I love you more than anything and what would you think those who care for you would do or say" she too began to cry.
"I don't know okay I tried but I am a coward okay I can't fight this anymore" she said closing her eyes while crying.
A moment of silent she felt a gentle hug looking at her lover "that why you shouldn't fight this one on your own let them help you" Crescent couldn't hold it any more as she just broke down crying.
End of dreams
Crescent opened her eyes as she was still crying where she found herself back in her room and her mother coming in to calm her down as usual.
20 minutes later
Crescent calm down enough to be left alone where she found one of her bug that she had sent was waiting on her picking up the bug "I take it there something you want to tell me" she saw it nodding using a glyph that appeared on both her palm and the bugs head she was instantly showing the events of last night.
Once she came out of the vision she looked out the window then back to the bug "good work" she petted it on the head "now go and keep an eye on them again" she said watching it moving out the window and heading off.
3 hours later
Once Crescent was ready she was walking through the corridor when she heard two female voices coming from a classroom recognising who they were she came to the door and saw Yang and Blake there Yang talking to Blake about her obsession on finding the White Fang and then Yang explaining her obsession to find her mother when she felt sad for Yang looking at her lover's sword seeing the wolf head stamped in the guard she coughed to catch their attention.
Yang POV
Yang gasp along with Blake in shock seeing Crescent was standing there at the door "Crescent how long were you there for?" she asked her.
"long enough" she watched as the girl made her way down the stairs "listened Blake I know what your going through" she turned to see Blake confused.
"how do you know?" she hears Blake asking turning she saw Crescent face turning sad like she must have experienced this same situation before.
She saw Crescent walking up to the desk and leaning onto it for support "because it happened to some one I once knew!" Yang got this feeling that Crescent wasn't telling the whole truth about that part just then it hits her at what it was.
She saw Crescent turning around and was about to walk off only for Yang to shout out "that some one was you wasn't it!".
Yang saw Crescent stopping and she saw her hand shaking either in fear or anger she couldn't tell seeing Crescent turning back round slowly she saw the pain in Crescent face "yes it was me!" she hears the hurtful in her voice along with Blake gasping "many years ago I fell into an uncontrollable mess something happened to me which also got me obsessed on trying to fix it but instead it made my emotions to go into haywire I was eating less I snapped at any one for unknown reasons it eventually drove my friends away from me those who cared for me didn't want to know me the only one who stuck around was my mother by the time I realised my mistake it was too late" Yang felt sorry for her team mate now.
She saw Crescent turning to face Blake "but you, you have a chance to avoid the same mistake that I did all you have to do is listen to your friends and take their advice" she watched as Crescent walked up to the door but stopping "unless you become like me alone and a total wreck all your life" that was all she heard before Crescent disappeared leaving them both alone.
Next day
Ruby POV
This was it the day of the dance where she would finally ask Crescent for a dance and taking her sister advice she would tell her of her falling she only Hope's Crescent likes the dress she has on, taking a few moments of breathing she got up to get ready.
Crescent POV
Crescent was standing in her room with her Sabyr laying on the bed she is looking out the window seeing the sun setting taking a deep breath "this is it the day I tell Ruby my feeling for her how do you think it will go?" she turned to her Grimm who only tilts it head "of course you don't know" she turned back to the window.
"well here goes nothing" snapping her fingers which caused her body to glow and her usual dress disappeared being replaced by a long tight purple sparkly dress with purple heels and a purple bow in her hair "how do I look?" again she asked her Grimm who only tilts it head again.
Before anything else could be said a knock on the door revealed her mother walking in "dear are you re...!" she saw her mother stop mid sentence and looked amazed by her dress "you look gorgeous my dear!" she hears her mother saying with happiness.
"thank you mother I was going to wear my usual dress but I felt the effort was needed to make an impression on Ruby tonight" she said seeing her mother looking at her.
"so I take you are planning to tell her tonight?" she nods to her "good for you but please don't get upset or angry if she rejects your feelings!" she hears the worry in her mother voice.
"I know mother" she said while placing her lover's sword on her "shall we go then" she sees her mother nodding to her as they both wrapped their one arms around each other and walked off to the ball room.
1 hour later
They both arrived at the hall where they saw many students were already there and were dancing away as she staid by her mother side she noticed many of them were looking at her mainly the boys were, rolling her eyes in annoyance she looked around and couldn't see Ruby yet 'mmmhhh must be still getting ready' she thought to herself.
While she been looking around she saw a tall man wearing a military uniform walking up to them "ah Miss Goodwitch and this must be Crescent Goodwitch" Crescent saw the him holding a hand out to her taking the hand she shaken it "please my name is James Ironwood".
'ah so this is the one who I am to work with' she thought to herself "please it nice to meet you as well!" she said pacing a smile on her.
"if it okay may I have this dance Goodwitch?" she hears him asking her mother who nods as they both walked out to the dance floor looking around again she saw Ruby walking in well wobbling in 'must not be use to heels' she thought to herself but yet she found her beautiful in that dress "okay not yet wait for the right time" she said to herself as she went back to watching her mother dancing with that man.
Ruby POV
After she had seen her sister she spotted Crescent in the distance she was amazed by Crescent dress she thought she would come in her usual dress and she found the bow on her hair was cute "okay Ruby now just wait for the right moment to ask her and tell her" she said to herself as she went to the table but not before she was interrupted by Ozpin talking to her.
Crescent POV
Crescent was asked by James Ironwood if she cared for a dance deciding to just play along she agreed and was now dancing with him she noticed some jealous looks at him while she was dancing she noticed that boy and that girl coming in the one were her bug was spying on then she noticed Ozpin talking to Ruby ignoring that and went back to the dance.
1 hour later
Crescent saw Ruby at the table deciding this was a good opportunity but yet she found herself unable to move as she felt a lot of feeling running through her she felt sweat running down her face turning away from the crowd 'oh no what if she doesn't love me... what if I muck up!' she thought to herself making a small glyph appeared out the view of the people a small silver flask appeared opening the flask she taken a quick swig of the liquid feeling it working it way down her throat and ending in the stomach with the strong taste calming her down making the flask disappear she turned around with a now calm head she began to walk up to Ruby.
Ruby POV
Ruby looked around as she spotted Crescent walking up to her feeling suddenly nervous "Ruby may I speak with alone?" she felt shy at this.
"um...sure!" she said shyly.
2 minutes later
Third person POV
Ruby noticed they were out side an on a balcony 'this is it Ruby you have the perfect opportunity' Ruby thought to herself.
Crescent turned to face Ruby 'okay you got this' she thought "Ruby these past couple of months I spent with you all have been great even with you I know we haven't spent to much time together but when I see you I can't help but have these feeling that I once thought was dead!" she said with a hint of sadness.
Ruby was confused by that part "what do you mean once dead?" she asked her.
"I once had a lover but something bad happened to her and I shut my feelings away sigh!..." Crescent taken Ruby hands in hers "Ruby I am a broken woman that I never thought I would heal from my past but yet the more I am around you all especially you I feel myself being healed what I am saying is" she closed her eyes looking away "Ruby I am in love with you" she said waiting for the rejection.
Ruby gasp quietly to herself 'she loves me as well!' she said in her mind with shock slowly placing a hand on Crescent cheek which made her open her eyes "Crescent I feel the same about you when I first saw you I couldn't stop having these same feeling as well at first I thought it was nothing but when the time went by and we hung around during our training and other times in the dining hall I keep feeling them growing stronger" she said to her.
Crescent was shock 'she loves me as well!' she said in her own mind "so I take it this makes us a couple?" she asked her.
"I guess so we could work on our relationship more now since we now know our feelings for each other" Ruby said to her.
"I think that the right course so now what?" Crescent asked her.
"let enjoy the dance" Ruby said leading them both back into the party.
1 hour later
Glynda POV
Glynda was enjoying the night when she saw her daughter walking up to her alone "daughter how are you enjoying the night?" she asked her.
"I am doing fine especially now I told Ruby about my feelings" suddenly shock ran through her body as her daughter mentioned this.
"and how was it!?" she carefully asked.
"it went great it turns out she loved me back and we even ended up talking about a date in a few days times when they get back from their fist field assignment" she felt happy for her daughter now.
Smiling to her "that wonderful my dear!" she hugs into her daughter "so where is she now?" she asked.
"she said she want to talk with her sister" she nods in understanding as they both staid together and watched on as the dance went on.
25 minutes later
Crescent POV
Crescent was enjoying the party when she noticed her mother talking over her scroll and looking worried "what's wrong mother?" she asked her.
"it's Ruby she found someone in the communications Tower tampering with the computer, come we need to get there!" she hears her mother worry which got her worry for Ruby even more now following after her mother.
50 minutes later
Crescent rushed into the room seeing Atlas soldiers everywhere scanning the room while she caught Ruby sitting down looking scared "Ruby!" she said worried while rushing to her giving her a hug.
"I am fine Crescent sorry I got you worried" she looks to Ruby with a gentle smile.
"no it's okay tell me everything that had happened?" she asked her as they both taken a seat for Ruby to explain to her.
2 hours later
Crescent had made sure Ruby made it to her room when she made it back to her own room later that night 'sighing' to herself she summoned her Sabyr wolf who looked concerned at her giving it a pat on the head she smiled to it "it's okay boy I am fine I finally did it I finally told Ruby I love her!" she said tired after today's event she saw it smiling to her or at least trying to as she climbed into her bed for the night.
Ruby POV
Ruby was talking to her sister "so you finally did it?" she hears Yang asking her making her go stiff with fear.
"yes I did I told her I loved her and she loves me back" she said hoping for no bad jokes or bad puns.
"nice sis so when the first the date?" she thought about not telling her but she knew either one way or another her sister will find out.
"after we come back from our first field Assignment" she said climbing into her own bed for the night.
"cool well good night sis" she hears Yang saying before she replied and dozed off to sleep.
Next morning
Crescent dreams
Crescent woken up in a field of flowers she could feel the gentle breeze of wind and the warm air it made her feel calm looking out over the field she saw one grey stone curious about it she walked up to it when she looked on one side she suddenly gasp in shock there on one side was the words 'here lies Ruby Rose' suddenly shaking in fear she collapsed to the ground "but how?" she asked herself.
"it was you" she froze on the spot hearing that same male voice again "you did this to her just like you did to your old lover you killed her".
Looking up to the shadow figure "no I couldn't have done this not to her not with out a valid reason!" she said to him angry.
"oh yes sure you wouldn't have but what stopped you from doing it to the others you have killed" she slowly got up on her feet clenching her two fist together.
"leave me alone" she said looking up to him "I am healing and getting better at controlling my emotions now that I have people who care for me and I care for them" she said trying to fight the urge to fight him.
"oh yes sure you have but what to say that would last how long do you think your control would hold, how long do you think they will care for you" she hears him saying as her mind tried to block him out.
"I can hold it and I will win this time!" she said to him with a determined voice and look on her.
"we shall see!" she said as he fade away and the scene too began to fade away.
End of dreams
Crescent woke up in her room breathing fast looking to the window she saw the sun was just beginning to make it way up in the sky she looked down at her hands and saw them shaking still 'I... did... it!" she stuttered out to herself when she suddenly broke down crying just as her mother came in hugging her.
2 hours later
Third person POV
Ozpin office
The bug that was sent by Crescent was watching the whole meeting after it noticed Ozpin mentioning about sending scout to the area it had placed two and two together what got it worried about this was fearing for it mistress new found lover it flew off to inform her.
50 minutes later
Crescent POV
Crescent was alone in her room as her mom had to leave for a meeting when she noticed one of her bug Grimm at the window opening it up she placed her palm out as it landed on it "I take it you have news?" she asked it seeing it nodding to her doing the same thing she did with the other one she suddenly gasp in anger as she saw the meeting "Ozpin I swear if you bring harm to her I will kill you!" she said angry just then she heard her mother voice over the comms as she let the bug go watching it fly away back to Ozpin office while she then got out of her room to head where the students are going to be.
1 hour later
Crescent watched from a far hearing Ozpin speech while she watched her lover and her team trying to pick a certain mission only to find they couldn't until she saw Ozpin giving them access to it making her angry "how are you my dear?" she was brought out of her feeling when hearing her mother asking her.
"not good mother Ozpin is making it difficult for me to control my emotions especially today!" she said trying to hold her emotions down.
"I see what is it he is doing to make you feel like this?" again she sigh in defeat.
"simple I saw my team trying to pick a certain mission only to be denied then Ozpin gives them access to it!" she said looking at her team bouncing in happiness.
"I see I need to go the now" she hears her mother saying before she left her alone.
Later that night
Crescent had seen Ruby off before giving her a hug she was nervous but she had to trust her team and hope all the training would keep them save as she went to bed for the night trying to keep her mind off this situation.
