Baby Bug Gender reveal time! I was genuinely unsure how to write this chapter but I like how it came out. Also side note, as I said this story will never entirely focus on Luka or Kagami, but they're still going to be big characters as the story advances. But I need names for their kids. I'm going to say outright that it's two girls and I want to name one Lyric but I'm at a loss for the others. Feel free to suggest some.

Chapter Eleven

Proposal Under Consideration

"I don't get the point of this," Adrien said to his best friend as a few people walked into the bakery that was closed for the day.

Nino couldn't hide a laugh, playing with the blue bead necklace Sabien had been handing out so they could see everyone's guesses. Adrien was yet to grab one, torn on what could possibly be the sex of his child." Dude, it's your kid's gender reveal and you don't even know how it works?" he asked, laughing louder at Adrien's oblivious face."I'm sorry but you really are dumb sometimes."

"Haha," Adrien said, rolling his eyes."I know how it works okay. In that cake is a pink or blue filling and only Sabine knows the gender. We cut it open and tada know the gender,"

"Yup that's basically it," Nino said, moving to the side as a few more people walked in."So what are you confused about?"

"Why are we doing it? I mean we could simply have the doctor tell us at the appointment without all this fuss,"

Nino shrugged, hands in his pockets."I dunno, Sabine and Alya's ideas, right? Well, they always seem to go over the top huh?"

"True," Adrien said, anxious to know if he was having a daughter or son. He would be happy either way, but this wait was starting to get to him and he was tempted to run up and beat the cake till the inner color showed. But he wanted to please his girlfriend's mom and if he was being honest, Alya terrified him.

The bell beside the door rang gently and Nino turned to face whoever had entered."Oh hey Luka, it's been a while." he greeted the teen.

Luka nodded, rubbing his right eye."Ya, good to see you both. Congrats Adrien," he said, forcing a smile.

Adrien smiled nodding." Thanks, you and Kagami too," after some banter on what had happened to his drink, Marinette finally informed him of her conversation with Kagami. He'd been aware of her dropping from fencing lessons, but when he'd originally pressed why, she'd given no response.

"Oh ya, Alya told me you guys were having on to," Nino said, rocking from his heels to his toes."Twins right?"

Luka nodded, falling pale again at the word twin. Even months after finding out they were having twins, it was no easier to actually believe it." Ya, identical girls," he said, still having a hard time believing he was going to have kids. Let alone, two little girls.

"Damn, identical too?" Adrien questioned. He'd been hoping for a boy and knew Marinette wanted a girl, but he would be happy either way. At least with a boy, he'd know how to talk to him as a teenager, he was still trying to figure out teenage girls for Pete's sake.

"Good luck with that," Nino laughed, though Luka awkwardly smiled, coughing into his hand.

"You good?" Adrien asked, noticing the breathy cough.

Luka nodded."Ya," he said, nodding assuringly."How's Marinette?"

"She's good, morning sickness is petty much gone, but she can't stand the smell of sauce," he said, shuddering as he thought back to when he'd had dinner with her family the previous night. Sadly the meal had been spaghetti and the sauce and noodles came up and out of her only seconds after consumption. He'd originally thought it was delicious, but after seeing that, he was unsure if he'd ever be able to look at the delicacy the same way.

"Sounds familiar," Luka said, fighting off another cough.

"Speaking of which, where is that dudette?" Nino asked, initially confusing both.

"Kagami?" Luka questioned receiving a nod from the DJ."She wasn't feeling good so I told her to stay back. She wanted me to tell you she said congrats." That was putting it lightly. Nausea was something that was yet to end and he couldn't remember the last time his girlfriend had eaten a full meal without puking it up. And the fact she was still working wasn't necessarily helping. He'd been pushing for her to stop, but in thought their relationship he'd learned just how stubborn she could be.

Adrien smiled, nodding his head."Thank-"

"Come on Agreste," Alya said, grabbing onto the boy's arm." Oh hi, Luka good to see you. Now come on, I'm pretty sure Tom's going to explode if we don't do it now," she said, pulling him across the room before he could get a single word in." Here's your man girl," she whispered with a sly smile to her best friend.

Marinette rolled her eyes but smiled."Als," she said jokingly, gently taking hold of his hand." Ready Chat?" she asked, looking up at him with lovely bluebell eyes.

Wearing a childlike smile, he nodded."Very much so M'lady," God she's beautiful. Her sweet smile. Her midnight hair hanging over her shoulders like the gods had positioned it. Her lavender-colored dress hitting her perfectly and portraying her small bump adorably. She looked perfect. Absolutely perfect.

"Come on cut it already," Sabine, who knew the gender, called out, practically jumping out of the room in excitement. The rest of the room chorused an agreeance with her and the two teens could only laugh. In that moment, the whole pregnancy felt so normal. They didn't feel like two 17-year-olds who'd messed up. They felt like and were being treated like two parents to be who were excited to know the gender of their baby. It was a pleasant surprise.

Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, Marinette repeated in her head, shakily holding the knife with her boyfriend and baby daddy. In the past few months, so much had changed. She'd gone through and had to think over so much. This felt like the first milestone or goal along the journey to their little baby. Only halfway through, she was excited for the rest of it.

The long knife was brought to the center of the white cake. It was circular and ontop was a question mark written in black frosting. Pressing it into the cake, Marinette closed her eyes for a moment, leaning her head against his shoulder. The quick seconds they took to pull the knife away felt like an eternity. Forcing her blue eyes to open, she practically screamed seeing a light blue inner dough.

The designer jumped up, Adrien having to keep his hand on the knife so she didn't let it fly across the room." It's a boy, it's a boy!" she repeated through a joyous scream.

"I can see that," Adrine laughed as Marinette practically screamed into his ear. He gently embraced her as the room exploded with applause.

"Any name ideas?" Adrien asked, feeling her stomach as she lied on top of him. After the party finally came to an end, they managed to retreat up to Marinette's bedroom to relax. It was well deserved and he was shocked neither had fallen asleep.

"We just found out," Marinette responded in a quiet voice, the smile of pride and joy finally falling apart as she started to fall unconscious. Her hands slid under her loose pajama shirt. It was only 5 but she was beat and would probably be turned in by that end of the hour.

"Still, I think this little guy deserves a name," he said, now wanting to feel him kick. Marinette had assured him that it would be some time before they'd be able to feel a kick, but he was still excited. For the past few months, he'd mainly been trying to believe eh was going to be a dad, now knowing the gender, he just had to wait for that day to come when he'd meet his son.

"Actually, I had a few ideas," she said, thinking over the baby names she'd imagined when she'd been an innocent virgin 14-year-old.

Adrien smirked, pressing a kiss on top of her head." From when you were head over heels in love with me?" he asked, smiling widening as she placed her hands on top of his. Her bump was growing more obvious with every week and was barely hideable with a shirt.

With a grin, she glanced up at her green-eyed boyfriend."Who said I'm still not?" Adrien burnt firey red, a goofy smile spreading. Satisfied, Marinette turned her gaze back down to her stomach, trying to fathom the fact her little boy was in there."I always liked the names, Hugo and Louis,"

Adrien thought over the names, one of which, he instantly fell in love with." Hugo Dupain-Cheng," he grinned."I love it."

"What do you mean Dupain-Cheng?" she asked."Don't want our son to have your name?"

"No, we're just not married so-"

"Well we will be someday," she stated as if she were saying yes to going on a date or ordering food.

Adrien smile,d but his heart also raced."Is that a proposal?"

"Nope," Marinette chimed."But I expect one someday."

"Sooner or later?" he asked, the idea appealing to him.

Marinette's eyes widened since they'd only just started dating. Sure they were having a baby but marriage? Now that was something she didn't expect to be brought up."Well, that's your choice kitty. I'm always open to the idea."

Wait... really! Holy, No stop it, Adrien. Your 17, though we both turn 18 soon and you can get married at 18... NO! We're too young, too young, too young. You have to focus on Hugo, just focus on Hugo.

"I'll keep that in mind," he said, tempted by the idea." But for now, let's think of Hugo," he said.

"Hugo Agreste?" she asked, looking up at him.

"Hugo Agreste."
