Author Note: I am sooooo sorry for how long it has taken me to write this! I recently started a new job and also had writers block! Thank you so much for bearing with me! I am really going to try and write more often, now that I am definitely inspired.

Chapter 9

Rin reluctantly put her key into the lock on her front door. She was scared shitless. "Nana gave me only one rule. No dogs." She gulped as she entered the apartment with the puppy in tow on a leash. "Nana? Are you home?" She called.

"Yes, baby. I'm in the laundry room" Kaede responded from down the hall.

"I have a surprise and you better promise to not get mad." Rin said nervously.

"Why do you sound so scared?" the older woman answered as she peeked around the corner. She smiled when she saw Rin's face. That expression quickly turned to an angry glare when she looked down and saw the puppy. "Rin, dear, we've talked about this before. NO DOGS."

"But she has nowhere to go! My boss forced her on me and told me I had to bring her home with me or I'd lose my job, " She lied a little.

"Bullshit, sweetie. I'm calling your bluff." Kaede looked at her skeptically as she walked down the hallway towards her granddaughter. "Why would you think that my opinion would change? Who is going to take care of it? YOU? Yeah right. I'm gonna be stuck walking and feeding her while you live your life. You can't keep her."

"But nana! She needs a home. I absolutely promise to take care of her. I'll buy her food and supplies myself and I'll walk her multiple times a day. I promise. I swear on mom and dad that I'll take care of her." She said desperately with tears starting to form in her eyes.

Kaede looked at the puppy, looked back up and Rin, shook her head, and sighed. "FINE. I'm allowing it. But be warned, if I see any form of neglect, we are giving her back.

Rin ran and hugged her grandmother tightly. "Thank you so much nana. I promise." She went to her room and changed into some leggings and an oversized shirt "I'm gonna go and grab her some things. I'm bringing her with me." She looked at her phone for the first time in an hour. She saw a text from Sesshomaru

[I hope you are having a great day at work.] She smiled and began to type.

[I wouldn't exactly call it great, but it's def been interesting.] She replied.

[Wanna talk about it over dinner tonight?] He replied quickly.

[Yes. Your place? I'll meet you there at 7?] She answered.

He replied with a thumbs up. She looked down at the puppy that was sitting patiently next to her, looking up at her with her big gold puppy dog eyes. "Let's go get you some toys." She giggled as she scratched her head and left.

Rin returned 3 hours later with many bags from Target, Stop & Shop, and Marshall's. She put all of the bags down, before putting all of her new dog supplies away. She gave the puppy a rawhide toy to chew on while she got ready to shower. Rin turned on the water and let it heat up while she undressed. Once the water temperature was suitable, she stepped in. As she proceeds to wash her hair, she cannot stop thinking about that morning with him and how good he looked in that suit. 'Maybe I should have used that time to get better acquainted with his body…' She thought to herself. She rinsed the shampoo out of her hair and saturated it with conditioner. As she let the hot water rain down onto her back, she imagined what his body looked like naked. How his tattoos might look below his waist, how big he dick must be having felt it press against her ass. She continued to wash her body and rinse the conditioner out of her hair. She could feel herself get more and more turned on by every thought.

'All I need is 5 minutes.' She estimated as her hand traveled down to her now throbbing, wet core. She began to slowly rub her clit as she imagined the feeling of his lips on her skin. She lifted her leg and rested it on the side of the tub as she increased the speed of her fingers. She continued to fantasize about the feeling of his hand on and in her as she entered herself with her own fingers. She continued to please herself, slowly accelerating the speed before finding her release when she finally imagined the feeling of his member inside of her. She leaned her back against the shower wall while she regained her composure. She turned off the shower, dried herself, and left the shower with a smile on her face, feeling satisfied.

A few hours later, after getting dressed and binge watching some tv, she received a text from Sesshomaru, stating that he was leaving his job and would be at her place in 20 mins to pick her up. With that, she got up and changed her outfit from sweats to a graphic t-shirt and some jeans. She put together a bag for the puppy that contained 2 small bowls, some food, and a couple of chew toys. When she had all of her things together, she patiently awaited a text announcing that he was downstairs.

Rin received that text 6 minutes later. She put a harness on the puppy with his leash. After grabbing the bag with all of the things she planned to bring, she said goodbye to her grandmother before leaving. Sesshomaru was on his phone, waiting outside of his car, like always when she was finally outside. She noticed that Tsuki, the puppy, started going crazy, pulling on the leash and barking with her tail wagging rapidly when she saw the white haired man. Her bark made Sesshomaru look up to see the puppy trying to run towards him, being stopped by her harness.

"What do we have here?" He said as he picked up the puppy once she finally reached him. She immediately started licking his face and smiling at him. "I think she likes me." He laughed as he looked at Rin. Rin smiled.

"Surprise!" She raised her arms into the air. "I got a puppy! More like my boss gave me a puppy, but I got a puppy nonetheless." She put her bag in the backseat while he held the puppy as a baby and was cuddling her. "I'm relieved that you clearly like dogs."

"Like is an understatement. I love them." He smiled at Rin before nuzzling the puppy, who was infatuated with him. He handed her back to her owner before opening the passenger door for her. She got into the car and he closed the door. He entered the car moments later. Rin spent the entire car riding stopping Tsuki from jumping into Sessh's lap. Once at his garage, he grabbed the bag while she continued to hold the puppy. She took off her harness when they were finally inside his apartment.

The puppy immediately ran off and started smelling everything in the apartment. Sesshomaru put the bag on the kitchen table before Rin emptied its contents. She pulled out the bowls, filling one with the food she brought and one with water and placed them on the ground next to the kitchen table. She threw the chew toys into the living room. She then hung the bag on the coat rack next to the door.

"So my boss pretty much forced me to take this puppy with me. She didn't give me a real explanation. Just threw the dog at me and told me to go home for the day. It took a lot of convincing on my part to get my nana to let me keep her, but alas I succeeded!" She giggled. "A puppy will be a nice change of pace. It helps that she's cute." She smiled as the puppy ran over to them.

Sesshomaru picked her up again and smiled. "She has to be one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of puppies so that's saying a lot." He walked into the living room and sat on the couch while stilling holding the dog. Rin followed and sat with her legs draping over his. He put the puppy down, who ran into the kitchen to eat her dinner, and grabbed the TV remote, turning the TV on to put something on TV. He tossed his phone at the brunette woman. "Here, order something to eat."

She caught the phone and searched a few delivery apps before settling on Mexican food. She put in her order and handed him back the phone. He had just finished putting Cold Cases on Netflix on. He placed his order and hit submit. "It'll be here in about 30 minutes." He said as he grabbed one of her feet and began to give her a foot massage. Rin moaned in pleasure as she felt all the tension in her feet melt away.

"Anything special happened to you at work today, or am I the only one who had an eventful day?" She asked him as she watched the TV.

"You know, just the same old boring CEO stuff like signing documents and getting briefings about the economy. Nothing nearly as interesting as your day. He said as he pulled by her legs closer to him until she was on his lap. He closed his eyes and rested his forehead against hers. "I couldn't stop thinking about you. It made it almost impossible to get anything done today." He kissed her gently.

She felt her heart skip a beat at his candid confession. "I had a hard time getting you out of my mind as well." She blushed as she thought back to her shower earlier. They continued to cuddle together on the couch before being interrupted by his phone ringing to tell them their food had arrived.
