Sacred Dragonblade: I am so sorry that I disappeared for so long. School started and I wanted to take some time to rethink the rest of the season. I will try to update again, though I can't promise anything just yet, sorry. But please enjoy the chapter!
Kai POV: I am so bored! Ever since the lady left that bottle no one else has come by. And it's not like there is anything interesting in this cell. I groaned loudly and started to throw rocks at the wall.
My plan is to use the knife to cut the binds when they least expect it, but it won't do any good if the others don't get here in time.
Don't think like that, Kai! Of course they'll get here in time and we'll stop these guys. That's how it works, everytime.
But that still doesn't help cure my boredom!
I groaned very loudly and chucked a rock at the wall. And right as it hit I heard the door swing open. It will not say whether or not I jumped when that happened.
It was the same lady as before, but this time she brought some goons with her.
"Was that a rock I just heard?" She asked in her smug voice.
"Maybe, maybe not. Guess you'll have to find out yourself." I said, dripping with sarcasm.
She rushed at me and slammed a knife into the wall next to me. Then she said, "I would suggest keeping that attitude of yours in check when you meet the Shadow King himself. You know what to do boys."
She backed off and her minions closed in, so fast it was like they were there the whole time. I couldn't fight them off before they tied my hands behind my back. They stood me up and we left the cell. Outside the cell room they actually had a decent place. If you're into the whole complete gold look. The walls and ceiling were complete gold, probably real but I can't tell, and the floor a stone-like tile. There weren't any other rooms, except at the end.
When she opened the door and it was a large dining room with a man at the head. He was dressed in a gold and black king robe that was covered with all types of gemstones and slicked-back blonde hair. He didn't have a crown, but I'm guessing he probably has one somewhere.
"Leave us. And prepare what I asked." even his voice sounded smug.
The goons set me in the chair at the end, untied my hands, and left the room. The woman closed the door behind them, and was probably waiting right outside the door.
"I hope that they weren't too unruly for you. I tell them not to forget their manners, but they're not the brightest bunch." He said, signaling someone.
A couple of servers came out with a tray each. They set them in front of me and took off the lids. It was a well-done steak with some steaming mashed potatoes.
"I thought we could both use something good to eat." Despite how good it looks, and my roaring hunger, I didn't touch it.
"What do you plan to do to me?" I said, demanding.
"Direct, I like that. So I'll tell you. Let's just say that I'm a fan of your work, Kai. It's not often to see a public figure with so much pure energy and honestly, those are my favorite qualities." he said, then took a sip from his drink.
"That doesn't answer my question." I said
"Because I wasn't done!" as he yelled that it was like waves of pure darkness, but he cleared his throat and they dissipated. "As I was saying, because of your rare personality I would like to give you a new opportunity."
"Opportunity?" Now I was confused.
"I have this beautiful place called the Sands, and I think you would be a lovely addition." I get it now.
"So you want to put me on display." I said, glaring at him.
"You could think of it that way." he said, wiping his face as he finished his food.
"Well, as much as I appreciate the offer, I will have to respectfully decline." Then I stood up and tried to rush at him before he could react.
But somehow the woman was watching us and landed on me, then re-tied my hands behind my back. The Shadow King stood up and loomed over me.
"It seems that you misunderstood your situation here. While it would make things much easier if you were willing, but you are going in the Sands, one way or another."
Sacred: So here you guys go, and again sorry for the extra long wait. I'm going to try and get back on a decent schedule of releasing chapters again. And just for you guys I will release a chapter on Christmas, if I haven't finished Season One yet. See you next time!
