The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
Things have come pretty far within the last couple months. So far, Frieza made good on his word. He hasn't hurt her or touched her since that day about three months ago. Hanna's nightmares were not as frequent anymore. This doesn't mean she trusts him though. Just because he has been more civil with her lately; doesn't erase all the atrocities he has done to her or right in front of her.
Hanna also appears healthier again. Eating all of her meals and gaining more of her strength back. Frieza noticed this too and was very relieved to see her doing much better. She still hasn't spoken to him; yet. But he's not going to push her. This is all a step by step process for Hanna. Though he has a feeling she may start talking again soon. Lately he has managed to get a few brief audible laughs from her. She tried to hold them in, but some of things he said to her were just too funny.
It was almost hard for her to believe that this tyrant was quite the mischievous one in his youth. Originally, Hanna would've pegged Frieza as a very obedient and mature child. Instead, he tells her the exact opposite. How he was very defiant at times, especially towards his parents and older brother. How he and his brother; Cooler were always butting heads and have been rivals since he could remember. It's a shame he hated his brother. Being an only child herself, she would've loved having a sibling to share experiences with.
But Hanna was a handful as a child and her parents just decided on one child. She often thought because she was such a challenge for them that that is why they stopped with her and had no more. Even when she started to mellow out around seven years old, it never crossed their minds to have another. And when a young Hanna asked for a sibling, her parents gave her a puppy instead. Which in a way was just as good as having a sibling. His name was Rex and he was a German Shepherd/ Samoyed Mix so he grew to be quite large.
When she woke up, Frieza was not beside her. But an outfit was laid out near the end of the bed. Hanna got out of bed and brought the outfit to the bathroom to change into. It was a sleeveless, knee length stretchy dress. No different than any of the other outfits she worn. This one didn't come with leggings. Which was not all that surprising. Not all of her outfits were the same or came with leggings. She was just happy that he still has been giving her clothes that cover everything that should be covered.
As she walked out of the bathroom, Frieza walked in with some food for the both of them. He set it down on his desk. Hanna went over and took a plate along with a glass of water. Then she went and sat in the comfy chair and started to eat. He sat down near his desk with his food. They ate in silence for a few minutes before he spoke.
"When we finish, there is somewhere I wish to take you." He told her.
Hanna stiffened at hearing this. 'Take her? Take her where?'
Frieza noticed this and spoke again.
"Yesterday, I set course to a planet I've been to once before. We've arrived early this morning and are hovering just outside it's atmosphere. I'll take us down in one of the smaller crafts. It is an oxygen based planet, so you don't have to worry about not being able to breathe. I'm sure you will rather enjoy the scenery there." He stated.
This really got her curious and actually; rather excited. She's been stuck on this ship for the better part of nine months now. It would be a dream come true to be back on solid land again. Because of this, Hanna ate faster so she could finish. Frieza smiled in amusement as he saw her practically wolf down her breakfast. He knew she'd be excited to be back on land again. He would've done this sooner for her. But there weren't too many planets that were oxygen based that could accommodate her.
He discovered this world on accident about a year and a half ago. Not long after his fiasco on Earth with Broly. He visited it with some of his men and scoped it out. To see if they can make a profit off it and to see if there were any inhabitants. The planet is quite vast and they were only able to explore a few portions of it. Before he was called away on important manners, causing them to retreat from the planet. Frieza hasn't been back since because he became very busy with dealings on other worlds. But he still never forgot this world, it reminded him of both Earth and Namek.
After they finished, he motioned for Hanna to follow him. Frieza lead her down a couple levels to the docking bay where they kept the smaller crafts and pods. He took her to a two manned craft, where he let them in and sat in front of the controls. He already informed his subordinates that he was going down there for a while. Most of them gathered he was going down there to train and didn't notice he took Hanna with him.
Frieza pressed a button on the council and a large hatch on the side of the ship opened up for them. Then the engines to the small craft roared to life as he directed them through the ship's opening. Hanna focused her attention out the window to a large green and light blue planet in front of them. It was different than being in the large main ship. Like being in a two seater plane or a helicopter. Only this ship seems to be moving much faster than any plane or chopper back on Earth.
Within five minutes, they were entering the planet's atmosphere. Hanna gripped the hand rests in fear. When the ship started to shake in turbulence and a reddish flame surrounded the outside of the ship. This made it look like it turned into a meteor. One that was about to crash land on the planet below. Frieza noticed she was afraid when she gripped the sides of her seat and started breathing heavy.
"It's alright, this is completely normal. It's always like this whenever a ship enters through a planet's atmosphere. It will start getting steady soon." Frieza assured her.
Hanna looked back at him with a brief nod, and could only hope it would be very soon. She didn't particularly like being in a vehicle that was surrounded by flames. It's human nature to fear fire coming out of any vehicle they were aboard. But Frieza talked her through it, trying to distract her. After a couple more minutes, the flames died down giving away to a bright blue sky.
She calmed down and continued to look out the window in front of her. As they moved closer, she noticed greenery down below. He started slowing down and prepared to land. He settled on a clearing off to the right. Frieza smoothly landed the craft in an open field, then a side door opened up for them. He stepped out first, followed by Hanna. She felt a sense of peace hit her as soon as she stepped out onto the grass. A genuine smile made it's way to her face. It felt good not being on a ship.
He looked over his shoulder and saw her looking around in wonder. She clearly liked what she saw of this place and was most likely thrilled at not being on the ship any longer. Hanna walked further from the ship and did a quick three-sixty look around at everything surrounding them. It kind of looked like they were in a forest. There were tons of trees around. Though this clearly wasn't Earth. The trees here looked very different, the grass and the leaves had more of a turquoise hue to them rather than green. But it didn't make the scenery look any less beautiful.
Frieza turned to her with a small smile.
"Shall we?" He asked.
Hanna nodded and he gestured for her to follow him. Frieza led her away from the open field to the tree line. They trekked through the woods for a few minutes. Then she thought she heard the faint sound of running water. It made her curious as to where he was taking her. As they continued their walk, the sounds of running water became louder. They must've been headed straight for the source.
She started walking in step beside him. Every now and then she would turn her attention from the scenery to him. While Frieza continued looking on ahead. Another five minutes went by, before they came to a stop. He pushed aside leaves from a couple tall, dense bushes. Hanna gasped at what she saw beyond them.
A waterfall, around twenty meters high and seven meters wide stood about five meters in front of them. It was a beautiful sight, like one you would see in a photo of a waterfall at some tropical island somewhere. Surrounding the waterfall was a fairly large pool of water. Hanna walked towards the edge of a small rock outcrop that jutted out into the pool of water. Then she kicked off her ankle high boots and sat down on the edge of the outcrop. She moved close enough to stick her feet in. The water was cool and refreshing.
Frieza sat beside her on the wide outcrop about a couple feet away. Hanna leaned back on her hands taking in the sunlight and the warmth it provided. She felt so happy and content right now she could cry. This is probably the most relaxed he'd seen her since meeting the young woman almost a year ago. It seems they both certainly came a long way.
"Definitely a nice place to come when you don't wish to be bothered." He said.
Hanna smirked in amusement at his remark. She knew well enough that he mainly preferred being left to his own devices. He would've preferred training alone as well. If he didn't need anyone to practice against that is. She turned her attention to the water. It was a deep sapphire color, yet it was crystal clear.
She can see the bottom below as well as the odd, yet beautiful fish that inhabit the pool. They actually reminded her of Koi Fish. Her Uncle has a Koi Fish Pond in his own backyard. He'd keep them in the outdoor pond for most of the year. And then keep them in a large tank in an insulated shed by the house during the Winter.
Thinking about her Uncle made her heart hurt. Hanna surprisingly hadn't thought about her family back home in a long while. Since everything that has happened with her, she barely thought of anything else. Tears came to her eyes and one fell into the water below, creating a small ripple at the surface. Frieza was surprised at first. Here he thought she'd be happy about being on land again. And at first she was, so why the tears all of a sudden?
He moved closer to her, closing the gap between them. Frieza wanted to ask her what's wrong. But it wouldn't do any good since she'd probably won't answer him. He slowly, but hesitantly put his hand over hers. This caught her attention and she turned her attention back to him. She noticed he seemed very concerned for her.
Hanna didn't know what she could say to him though. What would be the point of telling him she misses her family and home terribly. It seems quite obvious that she may never return. She put her head down, as more tears rolled down her cheeks. He slowly moved his arm around her shoulders in an attempt to comfort her.
At first, it didn't seem to do anything. But soon, the tears began to stop. Hanna found herself looking ahead at the waterfall in front of them. She appeared deep in thought. Frieza figured he'd tried talking to her again to help distract her from wherever her mind was wandering off to.
"I can recall being at a waterfall like this once when I was very young. At the time, I didn't know how to swim. I was a little afraid to. Since Cooler told me there were large predatory fish in the pool below the falls. He told me stories about kids who fell in and were eaten alive by them. At that point I called him out on it being nonsense.
One day while we were down there. I said something to annoy him. Then he suddenly picked me up and threw me in the pool of water. Once the bubbles cleared, I came face to face with something with large red eyes. I started flailing about until I broke the surface. When I did, I noticed my feet hit the bottom. A thought occurred to me and I stood up. Turned out the water wasn't very deep at all and only came up to my waist at the time.
And the image I saw beneath the water, was my own reflection staring back at me from a large piece of broken mirror that someone tossed into the pool. My brother was standing over me, clutching his stomach from laughing so hard. I was so embarrassed and angry. That I threatened to tell out parents that I caught him courting a female my parents disapproved of. That certainly shut him up real quick." He told her.
Hanna chuckled slightly at that. She could only imagine what he told their parents after that. Frieza found it rather amusing too, when he thought about it. He told her more funny stories after that like he has before to cheer her up. And a few embarrassing stories later, he had her laughing all over again. The day continued to get better from then on. And they spent majority of their time there.
Frieza just told her another hilarious moment that happened between him and a few of his Father's soldiers. She laughed for a about a minute, until she suddenly stopped. Hanna had an odd look about her. Then without warning, she quickly turned to the right and threw up on the grass beside her. He pulled back her hair and rubbed her back until she finished.
That makes twice now. Hanna threw up the night before too. He wanted to take her to the Med Room then. But she refused to go and brushed it off afterwards. But this time, he really considered taking her. She cupped some water in her hands and ran it over her face and took a couple sips. She then took a few steady breaths to calm down her queasy stomach.
"Hanna, that's twice now. We really should take you to see Doctor Bleu. You could've came down with something." He told her.
She turned to him and was about to shake her head. But another brief wave of nausea hit her. And she looked away, taking another few deep breaths again. Maybe she should go, just to see what's going on. She could only hope it's nothing serious. But it assured Hanna if she truly is sick, they had medicine they could give her.
Hanna turned back to Frieza, and reluctantly nodded. He stood up and gently pulled her up by her hand. Then they left the waterfall and headed back through the woods to the craft. She sadly looked around one last time before she had to go back. Then she followed him into the craft. They were airborne in a matter of seconds, headed back to space.
Every now and then, Frieza would glance from straight ahead back to her. He could tell she was sad about leaving. And they would've stayed longer had she not vomited. Right now, he was more concerned for her health. This was the first time he ever witnessed her being sick. And he wouldn't admit it out loud, but it did worry him.
They made it back to the main ship in record time. As soon as they landed in the docking bay, he led her off the craft. He noticed she seemed a little green in the face, like she was about to vomit again. They made no stops as they headed straight for the Med Room. The head Doctor; Doctor Bleu was just discharging a soldier, when Frieza and Hanna walked in.
The Doctor bowed in greeting.
"Greetings, My Lord. What brings you here today?" He asks.
"I would like for you to look over Hanna. She vomited twice. Once, last night before bed. The second time, only about fifteen minutes ago. She appears to be ill." Frieza informed the doctor.
He nodded and gestured for Hanna to lay down on the nearest cot. When she was comfortable, Doctor Bleu started palpitating her abdomen. As he moved down to her lower abdomen his brows furrowed. There was something there. He pulled over an X-Ray scan and moved it up and down her body. He stopped the scan over her stomach and was surprised at what he saw. He looked from the scan to Hanna and then to Frieza, who was watching her.
Once he was done with the scan, Doctor Bleu moved it back. He gave them a hesitant look. Until Frieza had enough of the suspenseful silence.
"Well, what is wrong?" He asked.
"Forgive me, My Lord. But she isn't ill. She is in fact; pregnant." He informed the tyrant.
Hanna shot up to a sitting position with a slightly bewildered look and a gasp. Frieza too, had a stunned look on his face. Pregnant? But how? As far as he knew, his kind couldn't procreate with humans. Could they?
"Are you certain? Could it possibly be a mistake?" He asked the Doctor.
But Doctor Bleu shook his head.
"No, Lord Frieza. There is no mistaking it. I saw a fetus and judging by the size; I'd say she's about three months along." He stated.
Hanna was getting more flustered by the minute. While Frieza still had his attention on the doctor, that's all it took for her to suddenly get up and bolt from the room. The tyrant turned to her as she sprinted out the door. He opened his mouth to say something, but the door slid shut.
"What would you like for us to do, My Lord?" Doctor Bleu asked.
Frieza didn't say anything for a moment. He was still digesting what he just heard. What was he going to do now? He didn't want children. Hell, he didn't even like them. But he also knew if he made Hanna terminate her pregnancy; it would push her over the edge. And this time, for good. He's already taken so much from her. Could he really take this child away from her too?
"I'll get back to you." Was all he said, before he left the Med Room.
Frieza headed back to his quarters. When he got there, he found the room empty. Or so he thought, he traced her energy signature to the bathroom. He went in and saw Hanna. She was sitting in the far corner of the bathroom with her legs up in front of her. She was sobbing into her arms. He slowly approached her and knelt down in front of her.
Hanna looked up with glassy red eyes and tear stained cheeks. But her physical state is not what surprised him most. It wasn't until she spoken her first words in about three months, that surprised him.
"Please. Please, don't make me get rid of it." She pleaded, her voice raspy from disuse.
He sighs and looks away. When he hears her speak again.
"You have already taken everything else from me. Please, don't take my baby away too." She said, between sobs.
Frieza turned his attention back to Hanna. It tugged at him seeing her like this. Her pleas never use to bother him, until lately. It just further proves how fond of her he's become. Who was he to deny her this child. After the hell he put her through, the least he could do is let her keep it.
"Ask Doctor Bleu, what you need to do. To keep both of you healthy for the next few months." He told her.
Hanna looked at him for a moment in surprise. Then she threw him off guard when she lunged forward and wrapped her arms around his neck. He stiffened at first from the contact. Then slowly wrapped his arms around her. There was silence for a moment, before she leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Thank You." She whispered.
Frieza didn't say anything. Just tightened his hold on her. He wasn't sure how things were going to progress in the coming months. But he will make sure that Hanna and the child will be alright.
Quite the surprise they got. Can only wonder what it will be like for the two of them in the coming months. It will especially be a huge adjustment for Hanna. Since she's carrying a hybrid child. Until Next Time ;)
