Chapter Ten

Jane POV

I had everything more or less planned out. The last few hours I had needed to do a lot of research, communicated with my team, and tied up some loose ends. It seems everyone knew who these boys were but me. Kelly was ecstatic and couldn't wait to get them into the large empty lot we had deep on this property. We owned this entire wooded area, about 20 acres of it. Complete with a small warehouse that acted as our headquarters, an outdoor yard with 20 foot high fencing, and even another small building within that yard. Kelly only wanted to see them dance, but I was skeptical. I had seen the videos, but I chopped it up to effects and visuals. Besides, from my information here, there were supposed to be 7 of them. Where were the other three?

"Mom, it's almost morning. It's, like, 3 am." Kelly shifted her weight impatiently. I grit my teeth and turned away from my laptop to look at her.

"I know, I know. I just want to make sure we do this properly." I waved her off. "We're still missing half of them. Do you realize just how much money we could make off of these boys?"

"Yes, I know, You could sell them all together and make a fortune."

"Not together, separately. I could easily charge a couple million for each." I smiled and her eyes grew wider. "Go get your gear on." I stood up and cracked my back. My excitement was growing by the minute. I just needed a good reason to be coming into the cabin at three in the morning. If anything I could simply say I owned the property, which was true. I'd play it by year.

Kelly came bounding back with her coat and heavy boots on. My plan was to invite them into the main warehouse, which we had built like a large house. We'd feed them, get them comfortable, and then move them out into the smaller building in the yard. They'd stay there until we had buyers. We moved out into the large black van and started rolling out. It was a good fifteen minutes to the cabin.

Five minutes away, and Kelly was pointing at something. I pulled over. In the light of our headlights was another van, parked in the lot just outside the cabin. It shouldn't have been there, given it was late at night. We got out and moved over to investigate.

"The window is shattered." Kelly said quietly. I peeked inside at the empty seats and disheveled interior. This had to be how the boys got into the cabin. They were probably here on a hike or exploring. Maybe they just got lost. I knew cell phone service was nonexistent out here, but the van seemed to still be in working order. I didn't know why they just didn't drive away.

I pulled up next to the dark cabin, the tires sloshing in the mud and slush. Rain still pelted down at a steady rate. The temperature was a shocking 38, and any free standing water was getting ready to freeze once again. I zipped up my coat and let down my hair from its ponytail.

"Stay here, let me do the talking. I'm sure they'll be weary and tired, give them space." I instructed Kelly, who could barely sit still. I got out of the van and trudged towards the cabin. It was mostly dark except for the dim glow of the fire they had going. I reached for the doorknob and tried to open the door. I knew the lock was busted, so it didn't surprise me when the door very slowly opened. My heart was pounding with anticipation. Moving inside, I carefully shut the door behind me to not let the icy breeze inside. As quiet as I was trying to be, one of the boys sat up, locking eyes with me. He shook the boy laying next to him awake, who looked around confused and tired.

"Hello." I said slowly, unsure if they could understand me. By now all four were waking up. Groggy and slow at first, they seemed to wake up right away at seeing me.

"Hi…" One said, who I thought was Namjoon, but couldn't be certain. "What are you doing?"

"I own this area, and saw that you all had stopped by to get out of the rain." I started, glad that one could at least speak english. The other three boys looked around at each other nervously, and then glanced back to Namjoon.

"Yeah, we're lost." He said carefully, slowly standing up from the couch. The other boy who was with him stood as well. "I'm Namjoon, this is Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook." He motioned to everyone. My previous research helped me to recognize them.

"I have a house with warm beds if you'd like to come with me. We can figure out this mess in the morning. I'm sure you're all hungry too, right?" I said, gesturing towards the door. Two, Jungkook and Taehyung, seemed weary, nervously looking towards Namjoon.

"We'd appreciate that, thank you very much." Namjoon said and quietly said something to the others, who nodded slowly. I opened the door to the cold outdoors again and they all grabbed their coats and packs. I led them outside towards the van. I knew Kelly would be freaking out right about now. I opened the large sliding door and they all filed inside smoothly. They nervously looked at Kelly, who was beaming at them through the rear view mirror.

"Hi, I'm Kelly. I know you guys from your music!" She said happily and Namjoon cracked a small smile.

"Yeah, BTS." He said. They were all shivering from the rain and cold, and huddled together to try and warm up. I cranked on the heat.

"You're missing three?" Kelly asked carefully as I got into the driver seat. "And what are you guys doing out here so late?"

"We got lost. We're actually in a cabin a little ways from here." Namjoon explained and I blinked in surprise. So the others were nearby. I'd have to arrange my other team to go and collect them. Kelly and I met each other's eyes for just a moment, but she already understood. She had her phone out texting people already. The van bumped along the muddy path, the windshield wipers going at full speed from the rain. I didn't want to ask them too many questions this early.

We parked in front of the old warehouse and I opened the sliding door for them. They looked around carefully as I led them into the building. Warm air hit our faces as we walked into the place. I had the interior done like a modern house, so it looked no different than any other typical home. The only difference was, it was connected to the outdoor yard through the back door.

"We had dinner already going, help yourselves." I said and motioned to the dinner table. Kelly was already beginning to dish up plates of food.

Taehyung POV

The stranger and her daughter seemed pretty kind. Though I could only understand pieces of what they were saying, Namjoon seemed to be ok with them. This home was warm and dry, something I missed so much. The smells of the food they were handing out made my mouth water. It was difficult to sit still at the table, and my stomach growled loudly. Jimin sat next to me, just as fidgety. Namjoon and Jungkook were across from us watching every move these two women made.

"Go on, eat, no need to be so polite." The older lady said and I didn't hesitate. "If you need more, just ask. My name is Jane, by the way." She and Kelly stepped off into another room briefly, leaving us to eat in peace. For several minutes, no one talked. Everyone was just focused on the food in front of us, we were so hungry.

"The lady is nice." Jimin said quietly, looking up at Joon as he swallowed. "She cooks well too."

"Hopefully we can call Jin in the morning." Jungkook said between bites. I was slowing down on the food. I had forgotten what being full had felt like for a moment. Jimin set down his utensils on his clean plate. Namjoon and Jungkook were done soon after as well. I leaned back in my chair and let my stomach settle.

"That was pretty fast." Kelly said as she entered the room again, making Jungkook jump slightly. "I'm sure you're all ready for bed. We've got a room ready for you." I slowly got up from the table and followed them towards another room of the house. Inside were several beds and a large sliding glass door. Out the door was a small yard with a couple trees and a tiny building. Kelly stopped by the door and waved to us, shutting the door behind her.

"Kind people." Jungkook yawned, flopping himself onto the bed. "Looks like our luck has finally changed."

"Try to text Jin. Let him know we're not near the van anymore." Jimin slurred sleepily. He was already laying on one of the beds on his back. His arms were out to the sides and his shoes kicked off. His belly was slightly rounded from the amount of food he ate.

"I can't, my phone's been dead." Namjoon sighed and lay out on another bed. I quickly moved towards Jimin's bed and Jungkook lay down next to Joon. I lay down next to Jimin and pulled the heavy blankets over us. The room was nice and toasty, Jimin felt very warm next to me, I was full, and the blankets were soft. I closed my eyes and leaned into the soft pillow. I was on my side, snuggled into Jimin's side as he lay on his back. He must have been exhausted, as he seemed to already be asleep. I was quick to follow.
