One day, I was outside with Goten talking and I decided to ask again, the questions I asked before, yet held no response from him.
"Goten, there is still something I'd like to know," I asked.
"Yes, what is it Iltani?" Goten asked.
"What led you to find and protect me the day we met?" I asked.
"Uh," Goten stuttered, he was caught off guard with that question.
"Well," I asked, "What led you to me?"
"I, well," Goten, "I just saw you on television and felt you would need my help, so I went to you."
"It seems you are hiding something from me," I said, "Why won't you tell me? What are you hiding from me?"
"I'm not hiding anything from you," Goten said, as he took my hand unconsciously, "I would never hide anything from you."
"I know you are hiding something," I said, "I can see it in your eyes, but you are afraid of telling me."
"I know about Yanzu," he blurted.
"What?" I questioned, "What would you know about Yanzu? Why would bring his name up?"
I pulled my hands away from him, but he then held on to one hand.
"I somehow seem connected to him," Goten said, "I don't know how but I feel like I know him too well."
"Know him? Yanzu is dead! You have no right to bring him up," I stated and stood to my feet.
"Iltani, I know you loved him," Goten said.
"What?" I questioned, "What do you know about me?"
"I know you loved him, and he really loved you too," Goten added, as he looked saddened.
"Why are you saying this?" I asked.
"I just thought you should know, that if the past could have been changed in any way, he would still let himself die, to protect you," Goten added.
"Don't say that. I never wanted him to die," I stated.
"He didn't want to die either. He wanted to start a life together with you," Goten said.
I looked at Goten carefully and again saw Yanzu looking back at me. I closed my eyes tight and refused to open them.
"How do you know this? How can you say this in such an assured manner?" I said as I opened my eyes and looked at him again.
"I just know," Goten replied, "If it weren't for your brother, he would have still been alive. Maybe you wouldn't be here today."
"How? I never told you about that. How do you know my brother did anything? How do you so much about Yanzu?" I asked.
"It's going to sound strange, but I know because, I was, I mean," Goten stuttered again, "Maybe you, I mean."
"Goten, answer my question. How do you know so much of my past?" I asked.
"I, well, I dreamt it," Goten replied.
"You dreamt of my past?" I asked.
"Yes," he replied.
"No, that's not possible. How can someone from a completely different timeline dream of me and my past?" I questioned.
"I don't know, but I know exactly what happened," Goten added.
"No, you don't know exactly what happened! You don't know anything," I stated, as I marched away.
"Iltani, let me explain," Goten stated.
"You dare that I believe you?" I questioned.
"You don't have to believe me, but trust me Iltani, I didn't want to say anything that would make you feel this way," Goten said.
"Well, you did," I stated, "You have brought back my past into this present. You just reminded me that I shouldn't even be here."
"Iltani, I didn't," Goten said.
"I'm sorry Goten, I shouldn't have stayed here," I said, "This is just wasting my time and avoiding the inevitable with my brother."
"I have some sort of connection with your past, and I'm trying to figure it out myself. I wasn't ready to tell you this, but I did. In my dreams, I was Yanzu," he stated.
"You expect me to believe that?" I stated.
Goten didn't know what else to say, as he just looked at me.
"All, I wanted was to protect you, keep you safe. Why do I feel like I messed up somehow?" Goten said.
"I can't believe that you would dream of me and say that you were Yanzu in your dreams. I can't stay here," I said.
"Go stay with Bulma at her place if you can't be here. At least someone else can help and protect you, if you don't want that to be me," Goten said, "I just don't want anything to happen to you."
"I need to go," I said.
"You don't have to," he said, as he approached me.
"No, I have to go," I said, "Thank you, for, well, just, thank you."
He took my hand again and looked right into my eyes.
"I don't want you to go," Goten said.
"It's weird that I lose someone close to me in my past, and just as I thought I was, well, I just happen to lose someone else," I said, and slipped my hand out of his.
I stepped backward, as I looked right at him with sad eyes.
"Good-bye, Goten," I said and vanished from before him.
Goten stood there unable to even think of what just happened.
Pentti's Mansion.
Pentti was in his office speaking to the oracle.
"She was supposed to come to me right when she woke up. What happened? Why did it change?" Pentti asked.
"Let me check with the scrolls," the Oracle said.
The oracle opened her satchel and pulled out a scroll. She held it in her hands and felt something off about it. She then untied it and opened it. She pressed the scroll onto Pentti's desk and grabbed his hand and planted it in the center of the scroll. He saw nothing happening, but she did. She saw an aura come out of his hand and spill over the scroll-like ink. She removed his hand and watched the aura spill to nearly every part of the scroll. It began to reveal writing to her eyes only and she began to read it to herself, as she then realized something.
"The prophecy has changed," she said.
"What?" Pentti questioned.
"Something has changed," she replied.
"How could something change? It was already set in the scroll. Your grandmother told me of this prophecy," he stated, "You better not be lying to me."
"I would never lie to you my Lord," she said, as she kept her eyes to the scroll, "I always see what the scrolls have to say."
"What does it say now?" Pentti questioned.
"It's strange," she replied, "It's as if something from this timeline is connected to her but in her past."
"What does that mean?" he asked.
"It means the prophecy that was said before has now been voided," she replied, "This is a new prophecy emerging."
Pentti grew upset as he slammed his hands on the scroll and threatened the oracle.
"You better tell me the truth oracle, or I will make sure the prophecy will end with blood spilling out of you," Pentti exclaimed.
"My Lord, there is no need to threaten me. I cannot see what is connected to her past in this timeline, but I can show you what from her past relates to this timeline," she said, as she placed her hands over his eyes.
Pentti felt a shockwave and seemed to have been brought back to the past with the oracle at his side.
"This is the moment, that is connected to the future," she said.
Pentti looked around and saw Iltani with Yanzu, and Yanzu was kissing her.
"Get away from her!" he exclaimed, but the oracle stopped him in his tracks.
"You cannot interfere with the past as it has already been written. Just watch, and you know exactly what I am talking about," she said.
He was extremely upset until he saw himself attacking Yanzu, and he then smirked. Pentti saw himself killing Yanzu and just as he leaves with Iltani in his arms. Then Pentti from the future walks over toward Yanzu's corpse. Then he noticed Yanzu wasn't dead.
"He didn't die?" Pentti questioned.
The oracle placed a finger to her lips to shush him and then pointed to Yanzu. Yanzu's body faded, leaving Goten's body behind.
"The Saiyan," Pentti whispered.
Goten opened his eyes and saw Pentti standing before him. Just as Pentti was about to grab him, Goten vanished.
"What just happened? Where did he go?" Pentti questioned.
The oracle then placed her hands over his eyes again, and they reappeared in his office. She removed her hands from him and then looked to the scrolls.
"Why did you show me that? What was that all about?" Pentti questioned.
"The prophecy can be corrected, but only if you bear a child. Once you do, then you can go back to gaining all the strength you desire. The only thing is, you must kill your child immediately after birth or else you will never be the strongest God in existence, and if you fail, then you will fall," she said, as she released the scroll.
The scroll rolled back up and tied itself, as she then grabbed it. Pentti grabbed her by the hand, just before she placed the scroll in her satchel.
"This is not what I was promised," Pentti stated.
"What you were promised is no longer valid. This is your new prophecy Lord Pentti, bare a son, and kill him right after birth the moment the sun sets over the horizon. Then all power will be given to you," she said.
She removed her hand from his grasp and looked to the door.
"She is here," she stated.
Outside of Pentti's mansion.
I happened to appear outside of Pentti's mansion, and his guard knew I had arrived and opened the door.
"Sir Pentti has been waiting for you," said the guard.
"I am not going to be here long, please rush my brother to greet me," I stated, as I walked into the mansion.
The door closed heavily behind me, as if it were shut by an invisible force.
"Sit in the foyer, I will get Sir Pentti for you," said the guard.
I sat down, as I watched him turn the corner and go upstairs.
The guard went into Pentti's office, just as the oracle turned to the door.
"Sir, she is here," said the guard.
"I cannot be seen by her," stated the oracle.
"Remain here," Pentti said, "Take Iltani to the library, I will be down shortly."
"Yes, sir," his guard said.
His guard returned to me and let me know he would be taking me to the library where my brother would be meeting me.
I began to follow him down the hallway, when I saw a woman, who looked just like me.
"You," she stated.
"Has he really gone that far as to make a double of me?" I questioned.
"Just so you know, I am not going down without a fight," she stated.
"I beg your pardon?" I questioned.
"No, don't play that with me," she stated, "You are his ex-lover and he has had me for years. Don't come looking for him."
"You have no idea what you are talking about," I stated.
"Oh, I know what I'm talking about. Do you think you can show up and just take him back? I don't think so," she stated.
"You have no idea who I am do you? What's your name woman?" I asked.
"Not that it is any of your business, but my name is Jade," she replied.
"Jade, beautiful name yet such an empty head," I added.
"How dare you?" she exclaimed.
"I'm not here to take him back," I stated, "I never had him to begin with."
"What?" Jade questioned.
"He turned you into someone you are not, only to resemble his perversions. Pentti is my brother. He has been fulfilling his desires with you while thinking of me. Now, how do you feel about him? How do you feel to know that all this time, he's had you converted to look like his little sister?" I asked.
"You are not his sister," she said, "Why would he want to, I mean you're, and he."
"He is delusional. I will never be anything more than his sister, no matter what he desires," I stated, "Maybe next time, you keep your legs closed and then you will realize things better."
"You Bitch! You're lying, he isn't your brother," Jade exclaimed.
"I'm afraid the lady is correct. Pentti is her brother," added the guard.
"What? And you let this continue without telling me? Oh my gosh! I feel sick right now," Jade added.
"Now you know why he really wanted you," I said, "Best not continue with his delusions."
Jade stood there shocked and confused, but even the guard confirmed with her what I was saying. The guard continued to guide me to the library where I then stood waiting for Pentti.
Jade raced up the stairs to confront Pentti, but she saw the oracle there with him.
"What the hell is this?" she questioned.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Pentti questioned.
"I was going to ask the same thing but now I know where I stand," she stated and left to her room.
"Get to the princess, I will find my own way out," added the oracle.
Pentti grew frustrated and marched out of his office and went straight to greet me in the library.
"What brings my beautiful sister to my home? Have you finally come into your senses and wish to marry me?" Pentti questioned as he entered the library.
"No," I responded, "It is you that needs to return to your senses. I met your mistress. A fine replica of myself, and she thought I was your lover. Is that what you told her?"
"She made up her own conclusions upon you," he said as he served himself a whiskey, "Would you like a whiskey my dear sister?"
"I am not here to mingle with my brother," I stated.
"Then what brings you here?" he asked.
"Let me go," I stated, "I will never be your bride. I will never bear you children."
"What makes you think such things will ever happen?" he asked as he sipped upon his drink.
"Stop fooling yourself brother," I continued, "This is nonsense. Ridiculous even. Why are you still intent on completing your goal upon having me as your bride?"
"It is destiny, my dear sister," he smirked as he took another sip of his drink.
"I am merely here, to ask of you, keep your distance," I added.
"My distance? From what?" he questioned as he came toward me.
"The people you were fighting with. Do not harm them. This quarrel is between you and me, no one else," I replied.
"Iltani, you ask the impossible of me," he said, as he brushed the back of his hand upon my cheek, "These people are trying to keep us apart. I will not allow that."
"You seek your own destruction brother," I added.
"I will not be destroyed my dear," he smiled.
"Yes, once you gain your full godly abilities, correct?" I questioned.
"Exactly, yet for that to happen, I must marry you," he said, as he squeezed his hand between my cheeks.
I pushed his hand away and took a step back.
"Please brother, do not continue this. All I seek is for my brother, the one I used to play with. The one that protected me from others. The one who saw me as a sister, not a wife," I added.
"That brother is gone. Dead, like our father," he added.
"I still cannot believe you killed our father," I added.
"It was the only way sister. He was in my way to glory, but with you," he stated, as he quickly wrapped his arms around me, "I will gain the universe in its entirety."
I twisted his arms and pushed him away from me.
"That will never happen. I am warning you brother, come near those people again, and I will ensure your death comes to fruition," I stated.
I began to walk away as he sipped his last gulp of whiskey.
"What of that boy?" he questioned, "What was his name again? The one who seems to be infatuated with you. That little monkey, dear I must have forgotten his name."
"You will not attempt harm upon any of them brother," I stated.
"Goten, that was his name. Oddly enough he seems to have grown attached to you. Reminds me a lot of someone else. Who could that be?" he questioned.
"Goten is nothing. He is a friend who helped me escape from the people that brought me here," I said.
"Well, now I know who he reminds me of," he smirked, "Yanzu."
"Do not bring up his name!" I stated.
"Yanzu, Yanzu, Yanzu," he laughed.
"You really are insane," I added.
"Oh, dear sister, if you only knew just how insane I can really be," he smiled.
"This is fair warning brother. You touch anyone of those people, I will no longer see you as my brother," I said.
"A husband then," he smiled.
"My enemy," I added.
"Oh, that really scares me," he said, and laughed, as he then pinned me to the wall, "You think your petty words will scare me, sister? Do you think I care what you feel for those pesky humans? We are Gods! We can crush this planet and start anew. Just you and me."
I tried to push him away, but he grabbed my hands and pinned them down again.
"Not going to work this time sister," he said as he leaned into my face.
I then kicked him in his knee, making him bend away from me, and punched him.
"Eventually, you will fall Pentti, and honestly I wouldn't mind if it were by my own hands," I stated, as I turned yet he grabbed me by the wrist.
"You think you can enter my home and leave just like that?" he questioned.
"I am not here to entertain you Pentti," I said, "I merely came to warn you. Keep your distance from the Saiyans and their families, if not, then you gained another enemy."
Just in that moment, Jade came into the library as mad as can be.
"You think you can do this to me?" Jade exclaimed.
"What are you doing here woman? Leave!" Pentti exclaimed.
"I think you have your own personal problems to deal with," I stated, as I shrugged my wrist off his grip and left the mansion.
"You, stupid bitch!" Pentti exclaimed.
"Yea, go ahead and call me all the names in the book. I don't care anymore," she stated, as she pulled her hair to the side of her body, "I am done, being your little toy."
Jade then cut her hair with a pair of scissors as my brother then began to yell at her.
"What have you done?" he exclaimed.
"Now I don't look like her anymore. You won't have your sister with you, and I won't pretend to be your sister anymore," Jade stated.
Pentti raised his hand to strike her, but instead, he grabbed her by the throat as angry as he could be.
"You wish to look different, is that it?" he questioned.
"Pentti, you're choking me," Jade exclaimed.
"Fine, I will let you look different," he said, as he took the scissors from her hand and placed it upon her face, "Let me help you first."
Pentti placed the scissors upon her face, but he couldn't bring himself to damaging her face. Instead, he cut off more of her hair, to make it short and uneven.
Jade was in tears filled with fear of what Pentti would do to her. He then stabbed the wall with the pair of scissors and made her look at him.
"Next time you decide to do a make-over, it will be the last thing you ever do," he stated, and pushed her away as he then left the library.
Jade leaned upon some bookshelves as she began to cry. The guard then heard her crying and saw what she did to herself. He helped her to her room and helped her to calm down.
I returned to Mount Paos and saw Goten outside waiting for me in the grass. He was resting and looking to the sky. He didn't seem to notice I arrived. I slowly walked up to him and ended up laying down next to him. He had yet to notice I arrived. I smiled as I looked at him and then I looked up to the sky.
"What are you looking at?" I asked.
"The clouds, just," Goten said, as he then looked at me, "Iltani, you're back."
"Yes, I'm back," I smiled.
"I'm sorry, for what I said earlier," he said, as he sat up.
I sat up next to him and looked him in the eyes.
"I don't understand, what you were telling me, and I don't think I'm ready to know," I said.
"Then I won't tell you until you are ready," he said.
"Please do not speak of my past, or ask me questions about it," I said.
"I promise," he said, and then asked, "Where did you go? I went to Capsule Corp, but you weren't there, so I came back, thinking you would be around."
"I went to see my brother," I replied.
"What? Why would you go see him? After everything that has happened, you went to see him?" Goten questioned.
"I need to let him know some things," I replied.
"Like what, if I may know?" Goten asked.
"I warned him of attempting to bring harm to you all," I replied.
"Iltani, you didn't have to do that. We can defend our own," he said.
"I know, but you don't know my brother. He is very strong, and I sense he is only getting stronger," I replied.
"How so?" Goten asked.
I noticed Chi-Chi and Goku were standing behind Goten and listening to us.
"He has this strange aura emanating from him. He isn't the same as when I last saw him millennia ago. He has completely lost himself and has entered some strange practices. I can feel his energy even as we spoke," I said.
"What do you mean?" Goten asked.
"He is working with some dark unknown forces, and if he continues with his work, there will be great calamity upon its wake," I responded.
"We won't allow such things to happen Iltani," Goku stated.
Goten quickly stood up shocked to hear his father, and then turned around he saw both his parents standing there.
"Whether you allow it or not, it will happen," I replied.
"You have such little faith in us," Chi-Chi stated as she placed her hands on her hips.
I stood to my feet and looked at them all.
"You clearly have no idea what the power of a God can do," I stated.
"We kind of already know," Goku smirked.
"How so?" I asked, as I crossed my arms.
"Well, maybe if I showed you my power then maybe you can understand," Goku said, with a smile still upon his face.
"Show me," I stated.
Goku took a few steps back and powered up to Saiyan level.
"Truly you must think my brother would be trembling at such display?" I questioned.
"Then how about this," Goku stated as he turned Super Saiyan Blue.
I was shocked at the amount of energy emanating from him, yet still, I know that would not be enough to stop my brother. I smirked at him, thinking that was all he could do, as I nodded my head to say no.
"You really think that is still good enough?" I questioned.
"Well, I can go at full strength, but I don't want to destroy my home in the process," Goku smiled.
"Then let's take this to the skies," I said.
"Now you're talking my language," Goku smiled.
"Father, what are you doing?" Goten questioned.
"Don't worry Goten, she can hold her own," Goku smiled.
I looked right at Goku again and floated myself up to the sky of a few thousand feet.
"Show me all you've got Saiyan," I stated.
"Alright, you asked for it," Goku said, as he then let out a loud scream to power up some more.
"My brother won't wait for you to reach full strength, and neither will I," I stated, as I batted my eyes at him, releasing intense energy from my body.
Goku tried to block it but he couldn't, as he then went back to Super Saiyan Blue.
"Why didn't you use that strength against him?" Goku asked.
"He's my brother. I honestly do not wish to kill him," I replied.
"He is only looking out for himself Iltani, you know that," Goku added.
"I do, yet I am still trying to tap into the brother I knew before his obsession began."
"That brother is long gone, and right now, he isn't worth saving," Goku said.
"Would you feel the same if this were one of your own?" I asked.
"Probably not, I would still try my hardest to get them to realize the mistakes they are doing," Goku replied.
"Exactly my point. He is one of my own still. The last I have. I won't give up on him just yet," I added.
"And if he actually does attempt anything upon us? What then?" Goku asked.
"I let him know that if he harms either one of you, he would have gained an enemy in me. I would no longer see him as my brother," I said, with sadness.
"Iltani, you just might not have a choice. Your brother isn't going to back down," Goku said.
"How can you be so sure?" I asked.
"Just look at what he's done so far," Goku replied, "Obviously he shows no signs of changing now."
"Help me Saiyan. Help me to reach my full potential, in stopping my brother," I stated.
"You're the one that has helped me to grow stronger, now you want me to help you?" Goku asked, "To be honest, I thought you'd never ask."
Goku smiled at me as he took on a fighting stance. I smiled at him in return. I extended my hand out with my palm facing to the skies.
"Then let the training begin," I smiled.
Goku fired up even more raised his energy to as high as he could and began to spar with me.
Goten and Chi-Chi were amazed that I could hold up with Goku, yet they felt the impacts of our fight right upon the grounds they stood upon.
"They are going to destroy my house!" Chi-Chi exclaimed.
"I'll get them to go somewhere else," Goten stated, as he flew up to our height in the sky.
Goku was fast and smart about the training, yet I still had a little bit of the upper hand. Again, I batted my eyes as energy emanated out once more, pushing Goku and Goten to the ground below. I was surprised Goten was in the path of my energy flow.
"Goten!" I exclaimed, as I flew down to the ground.
Goku and Goten had already connected to the ground below, but first, all I heard was Goku's laughter.
"Why do you laugh?" I asked.
"I haven't had that much fun in a long time," Goku smiled, as he stood up quickly.
"Your son is hurt!" I stated.
"He'll be fine," Goku said, "This would only help him as well. Fighting you gives us a better understand to what your brother may be capable of."
"My brother could do more than just bat an energy blast with his eyes!" I stated.
Goten started to get up and felt the pain as if he were in a fight.
"Oh man," Goten muttered, "That was some move."
"Goten, I'm so sorry," I added, "I didn't see you until it was too late."
"That's ok," Goten said, as he stood up slowly, "I shouldn't have gotten to close to fight."
"You still have what it takes Iltani," Goku said.
"You say it as if this were not the first time," I said.
"Believe it or not, it's not the first time," Goku said.
"What do you mean? I have yet to fight any of you aside from Vegeta," I said.
"Oh, that's right, you don't remember," Goku said.
"Remember what?" I asked.
"Well, you see," Goku said until he was interrupted.
"You think you can train with Iltani without me?" Vegeta exclaimed as he landed on the ground next to us.
"Vegeta, hi!" Goku smiled, "What brings you here?"
"I felt your energies all the way from Capsule Corp, and if I felt it, so did your brother," Vegeta stated.
"He will not be coming here," I replied.
"What makes you think that?" Vegeta questioned as he crossed his arms.
"I saw him today," I replied.
"You went to see your brother? Did he hurt you in any way?" Vegeta questioned.
"No, he tried, but never got too close in doing so," I replied, "Thank you for your concern."
"I wasn't concerned," Vegeta stated as he turned around.
"Don't pretend Vegeta," Goku stated, "You were worried just a little."
"I was not, now shut up Kakarot!" Vegeta exclaimed.
"You don't have to pretend Vegeta," Goku added, as he smiled "I could see it in your eyes. You were worried."
"I said shut up!" Vegeta exclaimed.
With the two now bickering, they hadn't noticed that I left from their side and went off into the woods again with Goten, so we could continue to chat.
"You were only trying to keep Iltani all for yourself to train with her!" Vegeta exclaimed.
"I was not! It just happened, I swear," Goku said, "Tell him Iltani."
They both looked and neither Goten nor I stood anywhere in sight.
"Where did they go?" Goku questioned.
"You fool, now look what you've done!" Vegeta exclaimed.
"Vegeta, I swear it wasn't my fault," Goku stated.
"Grr," Vegeta grunted, as he turned and flew off.
"Aw man, now who am I going to train with?" Goku questioned himself.
