A/N: So when my beta said what should we do with this backlog, the answer was let's get Just Two People out. Well, they're all out, and guess what, it's time for Life's a Beach. Last time, you got some backstory, this time, a lot more, next time, a whole lot more. Things are changing for our friends.

Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck

Five years ago

"You mean to tell me you're about to make him the father-figure in her life?" she asked him.

"Christ, what choice do I have?" Casey asked, pacing. "How else do I keep her safe?"

There was silence for a minute, and then she spoke, in a low voice. "I don't know of any other choice you have. It just may not be the best choice."

"You think I don't know that?" Casey asked. "Hell, Bartowski's gonna shit the bed when it comes to lady-stuff. We both know that. And I sure as shit can't help him." He gave her a look.

"Maybe I can," she said softly. "Maybe I can."

Today, a gun range

"Nice center mass."

"Thanks!" Molly chirped.

She was proud of what she had done. She and Chuck had butted heads over many things, and her learning to shoot was one of them. However, he knew she wanted to know how to defend herself if something like that night five years ago ever happened, again. It was one thing for her and Casey to meet, but her and Casey at a gun range… no. Chuck had not only agreed to this, but thought it was good. He knew she needed someone in her life that wasn't him and Casey, that she could talk to.

"Thanks, Gertrude."

Gertrude smiled at Molly. "Anytime. I can just see Chuck flinching each time a gun is fired, or Casey growling every time you did something he didn't like."

"Hey, can we… talk?" Molly asked, a bit timidly.

"Sure," Gertrude said. The two left the range, and went to get lunch at a local food truck they both loved. As they sat down to eat, Gertrude grinned at Molly. "This is about Sarah, isn't it?"

"Kinda," Molly said. "Do I tell her? I mean, don't I have to? Because we both know Dad." Gertrude chuckled. "He'll be all, 'I can't let her know because it might put you in danger.'"

"Plus, his whole Piranha thing," Gertrude reminded Molly, making the younger woman roll her eyes. "Listen, we all know the only way she'd put your father in handcuffs is…" She trailed off, seeing Molly making fake vomit motions and noises. Gertrude laughed at the teenager. "Okay, okay, but you know I'm right."

"I mean, you are," Molly agreed. "How much do I tell her?"

"I don't think you can tell her about Chuck… but everything else, as much as you're comfortable with," Gertrude told her. Molly looked at Gertrude, shook her head, and grinned. "What?"

"When are you going to get him to marry you?" Molly asked.

"Who says he hasn't asked?" Gertrude countered, grinning. Molly's jaw dropped, making the older woman laugh. "What if we were, and just hadn't told anyone?" Molly stared at Gertrude. Gertrude shrugged. "We're happy."

"I know you are," Molly said. "It's just…" Molly looked away. "I know it's silly, I know Chuck is my dad now, and I think of Casey as an uncle, but…"

Gertrude laid her hand on top of Molly's, and squeezed. "Whatever you think of me, know this: I love you, kiddo."

"I love you, too," Molly said, smiling at Gertrude. "But, I need to go."

"I know," Gertrude said. "You really shouldn't go to the bar, find Sarah, and the two of you walk off together, with Chuck watching."

"That would be such a mean thing to do," Molly said, grinning. She waved, and headed to her car.

"Bye, Molly," Gertrude said softly. She leaned back, and watched the girl she had come to think of as a daughter drive away.

Chuck was trying to stock the bar, but he kept glancing out of the corner of his eye.

"You okay there, Curls?" Zondra asked. "You need to have a night off from my buddy, and think about me… and you?"

"Why?" Chuck asked, stepping back, and looking down at his stomach. "Do I look fat, and need to purge some weight?"

She narrowed her eyes at him. "You know I'd ruin you for any other woman."

"You'd ruin me, that's for sure," Chuck fired back.

"What's with you?" Zondra asked, seriousness in her voice. "That was a weak comeback."

"Nothing," Chuck said, glancing at the table again. Zondra saw him and followed his gaze.

"Oh," Zondra said. "Molly… she waiting for Sarah?" Chuck shrugged. "Chuck, they both care about you. Hell, they both love you." Chuck's head jerked up, and he saw Zondra smirking, proud of herself. "Ah," she breathed, happy. "Gotcha."

"Maybe she does," Chuck countered.

"Maybe you wish she did," Zondra fired back. "Maybe you wish she loves you the way… nevermind."

"What?" Chuck asked, walking towards her, curious.

"Maybe you wish she loves you the way…" she grinned, winked, turned, and started to walk away, "…you love me."

"I hate you," he said, shaking his head. Her laughter could be heard all through the bar. Chuck looked up, saw Sarah and Molly walking out, and turned back to Zondra. "You did that on purpose," he accused.

"Yep," Zondra told him. "Molly asked me to. Girl power, and all that."

Chuck put his elbows on the bar, and his head in his hands. "Bad time to ask for a beer?" Fred asked. Zondra looked at him and shrugged.

"Okay, is this where you forbid me from seeing him?" Sarah asked. "Also, does your father know you're eating at this food truck, because-"

"Who do you think showed me this slice of heaven on Earth?" Molly asked. "And no, it's the exact opposite; I need you to not stop seeing him, no matter what stupid thing he says."

"Okay," Sarah said, watching Molly. "There's more, isn't there?"

"There's a ton more. But I'm not sure if I'm supposed to tell you, or not. And if I do, you can't get mad, and if I can't and you find out, you can't get mad."

Sarah shook her head. "I'm sorry, I'm barely following any of this."

"My parents were killed, and Chuck… Dad," she said, a soft smile on her face making Sarah feel warm and proud of Chuck. "He's always put my safety first, at the risk of making someone else mad."

"Mad?" Sarah asked.

"Sarah, he has secrets, that he cannot tell… won't tell, to anyone, and it's not that he doesn't trust you, it's that if you don't know…" she trailed off, not sure how to say this without being mean.

"Need to know," Sarah said, nodding. She saw the look on Molly's face. "Wait, it's not bad, I get it. I'm a former CIA agent, and I've learned what I don't know, I can't give up to anyone, whether I knew I was giving it up or not." Molly nodded. "Are you saying you're still in danger?"

"Maybe," Molly admitted.

"Okay," Sarah said, nodding. "You have my phone number. If you are ever in a spot where you're not sure if you're safe or not, text 911 to me. I'll come running with Zondra, Carina, and/or Casey. He's really good." Molly bit her lip and looked away. Sarah straightened. "Oh," she said, grinning. "I see."

"Sarah," Molly began.

"No, I'm not mad, and you've told me nothing, but…" she trailed off, grinning and shaking her head. "That would make all the sense in the world." She paused. "I could tell you something but…" Molly gave her a look, curious. "The first time Chuck spent the night over…" Molly made a fake gagging noise, making Sarah chuckle. "He said, 'What the hell am I doing back here?'"

Molly looked down at her hands. "You know he had a drinking problem."

"Yep, and do you know who helped me with mine?" Molly looked up at her, their eyes locking. "John Casey." Molly nodded once. "I see."

"Sarah," Molly began.

"I won't say a word, and I'm not mad, but you can't tell him anything I think I might know or suspect," she said, giving her a pointed look. Molly grinned. "He loves you like his own daughter. You know that, right?"

"I kinda am," Molly admitted. "Of course, that makes who my mom is sort of weird." Sarah's eyes went wide. "Oh, no… I mean, don't take it the wrong way-"

"Whoa, no, I don't and wouldn't, and I would find it strange that you would see me that way. I mean, I like you, and think the world of you, but… you barely know me," Sarah said. "Wait…is it Zondra? No that can't be right," she said quickly. "You really don't know her, do you?" Molly shook her head. Sarah's eyes widened. "Noooooo," she said in a low tone. "Gertrude?" Molly shrugged and grinned. "I love that woman," Sarah admitted.

"Again, you can't say anything," Molly insisted.

"Oh, I know," Sarah said. "Oh God, between Casey and Chuck, you needed someone."

"Right?" Molly replied, grinning. She gave Sarah an appreciative smile, reached over, and took her hand. "Thank you, Sarah, really."

"Thank you, and I promise, not a word," Sarah said.

The party was an absolute hit, with everyone having a great time. Sarah had printed out some photos for Mrs. Wu, and was waiting for her in the same booth they met in the first time. Wu came in, and sat across from her.

"Good to see you, Mrs. Wu," Sarah said, grinning. Sarah pulled out the pictures. "Your soon-to-be son-in-law is a lot of things. But a criminal, white collar or blue collar, he is not."

"That is so good to hear," Mrs. Wu said. "May I see them?" she asked, gesturing toward the pictures. Sarah laid them out, and she squinted. "A moment," she said, digging into her purse. "Vanity," she said, pulling out a pair of glasses. "I hate to wear them, even though they help me." She peered at the pictures.

"The top left one," she heard in her ear. She turned her head, to look at that picture, the glasses sending a transmission to a van outside the diner. Lu Chang stared at the girl in the picture. "Find out who the girl is."

"Is that Molly?" Mrs. Wu asked.

"It is," Sarah replied.

In the van, Lu Chang stared at the picture, and then at another screen that had a picture of Molly that was five years younger, with her deceased parents. She had been digitally aged, and they appeared nearly identical. "We're good."

Mrs. Wu gave Sarah a smile. "Thank you," she said.

"Those are for you," Sarah told her. "In case you ever worry about your future son-in-law." She paused. "He's a good man."

"He is," Mrs. Wu agreed. "Thank you for helping me." Mrs. Wu gave Sarah her payment, and watched her leave.

"You cannot hurt anyone," she hissed.

"If I were you, I'd worry about your own family," Lu Chang told her. "We are done. Pray your husband has learned his lesson." Mrs. Wu watched the van drive off, as she felt hatred in her heart… for herself.

A few days later found Chuck and Sarah at dinner together. Morgan had told them about a little place that was quiet, and intimate. Chuck had started to protest, but one look from Sarah told him that she was all for quiet and intimate.

The two walked back to Chuck's house. They were both armed with the knowledge that Ellie and Molly were out, at the two women's insistence. They walked in, Chuck shutting the door. He turned to Sarah, when she spoke softly.

"Someone is in here."

A light flipped on, revealing a man sitting in Chuck's chair, holding a gun on Chuck. "I want the money," the man said.

"I don't have much, but anything I have-"

"I want THE MONEY!" Chuck swallowed. The man moved the gun toward Sarah. "You give me the ten million, or she dies."

"He doesn't have-" Sarah began.

"Okay, I need my laptop, it's on the counter, in the kitchen," he told the man. The man gestured with the gun. "She comes with me." The man rolled his eyes, and gestured them both toward the kitchen.

Chuck got to the bar, opened the computer and took a deep breath.

"I need you to keep calm," they both said softly to each other at once. Sarah blinked.

"Chuck, this might be the time to tell me what the hell is going on." Chuck pressed his lips together and blew out his cheeks.

A/N: Oh…oh my….welp. How in the world will he get out of this? Do I give sneak peeks on this one? I think I will today.

Sarah looked at Chuck. "I think it's time for that summary I didn't get earlier." Chuck started to open his mouth. "And by think, I mean if you don't tell me right now…" She trailed off and the look on her face spoke volumes.

"Ever heard of Piranha?" Chuck asked. Sarah nodded. "Hi," he said with a wave.

O_o Oh my.
