Part 9: Last day on Dalis

On the morning of their last day on Dalis, Raymond woke up first rubbing his eyes and looked out the bedroom window as the sun shined. He then looked down to see Carol sleeping with a smile on her face. He smiled as he kissed her forehead, "I wonder when will be the next time we can stay like this," he thought when Carol began to move.

She looked up before smiling, "Morning Raymond," she said.

"Morning Carol, sleep well?" He asked smiling.

"Yeah, would it be bad if I wanted to stay in bed today," she said before resting her head back on his chest.

"I know how you feel, it is our last day here after all so we should do something for it," said Raymond moving his hand through her hair, "We still need to pick up the souvenirs for Talos and the others," he said.

"Yeah I guess your right," she said before sighing and throwing the sheets away, "I'm going to take a shower," she siad getting out of bed.

"Ill get breakfast started and go after you," Raymond said getting out bed before Carol wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips. Raymond wrapped his arms around her waist kissing her back before she pulled away and walked into the bathroom. Raymond smiled before taking some shorts and a t shirt out of his bag. He then got dressed before heading downstairs to the kitchen.

When he was finished cooking Carol walked downstairs wearing a Dalis top and dark blue shorts, "Can you grab the hats and sunglasses we used for disguises when your upstairs?" She asked.

"Sure," Raymond said putting her plate on the table before going upstairs to shower. He came back down dressed in a Dalis t shirt and black shorts with a blue line going down each leg. After finishing Breakfast the two of them got onto the ship and started flying to the mainland.

When they got off the ship they each put on their sunglasses and hats, "Any reason why were going with the disguises on our last day?" Raymond asked.

"After what happened at the race our faces are probably well known here," said Carol before holding Raymonds hand, "So I would like the enjoy a our last day here quietly," she said smiling.

"Sounds good to me," Raymond said smiling. They went to the gift shop near the hangar and picked out many t shirts, hats and sunglasses. Carol picked out a toy fish for Talos daughter and when they went to go pay they noticed the woman working at counter looked worried.

"Is there soemthing wrong?" Carol asked as they placed the items on the counter.

"Yes I just heard about a little trouble that's happening near the museum, I would stay away from that area for a while until everythings okay," she said. Raymond and Carol looked at each other with a serious look on their faces before nodding.

After the souvineirs were put into bags they walked to the museum to see a large crowd standing near the entrance holding signs, Raymond saw one that read, "Tell the truth,".

"Whats going on here," Carol said when a familiar voice spoke up near them.

"Raymond, Carol," the couple looked to see Fineck and Elisa running over to them.

"Hey do you two know what's going on?" Raymond asked.

"We were here when it started this morning, someone was complaining about the celestial area telling lies when they know they were hero's like the one at the race," said Elisa.

"Whats with all the shopping, are you guys leaving soon?" Fineck asked pointing at their shopping bags.

"Yeah were leaving," Raymond said when another familiar voice spoke up at the museums entrance.

"Ladies and gentlemen please return to your vacation, your ruining other peoples time to go into the museum," one of the three kree soldiers from the restaurant said. Raymond looked annoyed noticing they were wearing their batttle suits and the one who had spoke was carrying swords.

"Weren't they suppose to leave," Fineck said looking annoyed when Dasin, along with two security officers and dressed in a security uniform as well, walked over to the kree.

"I thought you understood, the kree have no right to interfere on this planet," Dasin said looking at the sword weirder who smiled.

"Well some of the people staying here are criminals and I decided to look more into this planet and found out soemthing interesting," he said, "Some Noble warrior hero's reported seeing skruls wearing clothes from this planet,".

"Good people are welcome here to relax, no matter where their from," Dasin said calmly when the sword weilder pulled out one of his swords and pointed it at the chairman.

"Well some of them are criminal and you are under arrest," he said before Raymond jumped up from behind the crowd and landed in front of him. His body glowing blue as the people cheered.

"Stand down," he said sounding serious.

"Well look who's here, you know I heard about how you and Vers took down Yon Rogg," the sword wielder said standing back as he took out his other sword, "How about this, will leave quietly if you can beat me in a fight," he said.

"Fine," Raymond said as two blue swords appeared in his hands. He held them up and blocked the krees attack. Raymond slashed his swords forward, his opponent barely dodging. He blocked his attack again before pushing the kree back. The kree fell on his back before standing back up looking annoyed.

The kree ran at Raymond who yelled as he used his swords to throw his opponents away. Raymond pointed the sword in his right hand at the kree, "You lose," he said.

"Will take care of things from here," one of the Dalis security officers said as they lead the kree away. The blue glow stopped covering Raymonds body as Dasin walked over to him.

"Thanks for your help, but I think the museum will have to be closed for a while," he said, "Today's your last day here correct?" He asked.

"Yeah were leaving tomorrow morning," Raymond said as Carol walked over to them.

"Well why don't you two join me and my wife for dinner on the station tonight, it has a nice view," said Dasin smiling.

"Sure," Carol said smiling and Raymond nodded in agreement before they head back to the ship. Later in the evening Carol flew them up to the station and Clara, who they met on their fist day on the station lead them to Dasins quarters. There they met his wife Lina.

"Thank you for your help earlier," she said shaking Raymonds hand.

"Do you live up here?" Carol asked noticing the middle of the room looked like a living room.

"No we have our own island back on the planet, we stay up here whenever one of us has to work late," Lina said when a door opened revealing Dasin walking out of his office.

"Its the island every chairman has lived on, shall we eat," said Dasin pointing to a table that was next to a large screen. Raymond looked to see there was view of the planet. They sat at the table and as they ate their food they told the story of they met. Dasin had met Lina when she had come on vacation to Dalis back when he was still working in security.

"Well I hope you two come back someday," said Dasin.

"Maybe they'll have a little one with them by then," Lina said smiling.

"Yeah but we have a few things to take care of before that," Carol said.

"I understand," Lina said.

"Still this could mean hope that there will be another celestial out there to protect everyone," said Dasin looking at Raymond who was looking at the table with a smile on his face.

"As long as their happy, thats what mattters to me," he said remembering what his father told his mother when he was born. Carol held his hand under the table and smiled at him. Later they flew back to the island, when they got off the ship Carol held Raymonds hand as energy surrounded her body. He smiled before the blue glow covered his body and they flew to the houses roof and looked up at the night sky.

"Flying on my own feels easier now," said Carol smiling as she held Raymonds hand.

"That's great, I knew you could do it," he said as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"Guess we're back to it tomorrow," she said.

"Yeah, hopefully Talos will feel better when he sees all the souvinirs we got," Raymond said as the two of them laughed. They then looked into each other's eyes and kissed.

"I love you Raymond," Carol said.

"I love you too, Carol," he said before kissing her again. Carol then rested her head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around her waist, holding her close. Later on they went bed, enjoying their last sleep on Dalis before leaving tomorrow morning.
