A/N: Uncle Iroh...

Uncle Iroh
"Get away!" he shouted throwing a plume of fire in their direction.
Zuko just wanted to be alone with his uncle. He could feel Katara burning a hole in his back. She had the ability to help. He knew she did. She healed him with water when he got hurt trying to put her to bed the night she got wasted at the bar. Even drunk, her healing power was amazing, but he didn't want to blame her if Uncle still died. His injuries looked too grave. Choking back sobs of despair he ground out,
"I told you to leave me alone! Just go…" he cried leaning over the still smoking body of his uncle.
Azula had cornered them all in an old shanty town and used her uncle as a diversion. She knew she couldn't defeat the Avatar's group and her brother, so she used the weakest link in the chain. It was a cheap shot, but effective. Iroh never expected that she would shoot lightning at him and neither did the others. It wasn't exactly a kill shot but who could tell with her uncle being so old and all…
Aang put his hand on Katara's shoulder. There was nothing else they could do. Zuko didn't want their help and hanging around was going to be too dangerous. Katara took one last look at the distraught prince and shook her head sadly. The teens quickly loaded up on Appa and flew away heading for the desert that held the secrets to possibly defeating the Fire Lord before Sozin's Comet.
Iroh groaned as he opened his eyes for the first time in days.
"That was a really dirty thing she did…" he said weakly. Zuko chuffed in relief. Leave it to uncle to say what everyone else was thinking.
"I'm glad you're OK, I—I really thought I lost you, Uncle," Zuko said fighting back tears. Iroh grunted heavily as he sat up.
"Eh, it will take more than a little bit of lightning to take me out. I wasn't able to redirect it all in time." He said simply.
"Redirect? Is that what you did? Can you—uh, can you show me?" Zuko asked humbly. "When you're better of course…" he added quickly. Iroh grinned.
"Of course, nephew. Anything for my relatives who aren't trying to kill me." he teased.
Zuko snorted.
How can Uncle joke like this? He sighed to himself relieved that he would have a chance to repair the relationship between himself and his uncle. Zuko felt a twinge of guilt pulling on his conscience at the way he yelled at the Avatar and his friends when they were only trying to help. He felt especially sad at how Katara looked at him when he knew she could have helped. He tried to push the thought away.
"Hey Uncle, you want some tea?" he offered.
