A/N: Hey guys, I know it has been a while but work has kept me super busy. I've decided to go for a headcanon chapter rather than the usual 5 sentences because I wanted to get something out quick while it was my 'week off' and this has literally taken me 3 days so my plan succeeded. I'm also hoping to get similar chapters out for the rest of the series so keep your eyes out for those. Some of these headcanons will probably end up becoming full sentences at some point when I publish another general chapter rather than a specifically themed one, but until then enjoy this version of them. Plus Ultra.

P.S I tried my best with the layout, looks best on AO3 if I'm being honest.

The kitchen quickly became Izumi's sanctuary.

Todoroki can't cook, at all, the only thing he is able to make is toast which he always ends up burning; he doesn't even realise that you have to add water to a rice cooker.

Izumi learns this fact the morning after her wedding day when she enters the kitchen to find nothing but Cup Ramen in the cupboards, half-eaten convenience store meals in the fridge and a large pile of take-out menus from every restaurant in a 5 mile radius of the estate sitting next to the phone hanging off the wall.

The rest of Izumi's day is spent coming up with a very lengthy shopping list while unpacking the few belongings that she had brought with her and avoiding Todoroki as much as possible.

During the first few years of her daughter's marriage Inko would visit the Todoroki estate multiple times a week, but Izumi would never visit home.

It's not that Izumi didn't want to return to the small apartment that she grew up in, it was the people who lived nearby that had her weary to visit home.

The greenette dreading to think what would happen if she ran into anyone she had known while growing up, especially Bakugo.

In the end, it takes several years and a few pep talks before Izumi finds herself visiting her childhood home regularly alongside the rest of her family.

The kid's sleepover nearly every week because of how much Inko spoils them all.

Enji even stops by from time to time for a quick visit whenever he's in the area on patrol.

Upon moving into the estate Izumi stopped cutting her hair.

When she had been a child Izumi had always dreamed that one day, she would have lovely long flowing locks just like her mother.

Those dreams quickly had to be discarded however when she found herself the victim of intense bullying and had no choice but to cut her hair so short that it just reached below the tips of her ears.

Long hair was just so easy to grab after all, and even easier to burn.

But upon moving into her new home Izumi knew that she would no longer have to run away from her bullies, chances were she would never see any of them ever again.

And so, for the first time in 9 years, Izumi (Midoriya) Todoroki let her hair grow.

It takes several months but eventually Izumi becomes satisfied with her hair when it beats her mother's own locks in length by a few inches.

Elaborate braids and fancy hair accessories become the norm for the greenette from that moment on, just like she had imagined for herself as a little girl.

Izumi didn't meet Rei until well over a year into her marriage.

She'd been to the hospital multiple times so that she could drop the children off for their weekly visits, but Izumi had never actually been inside before.

Typically, she would wait at a café a few minutes away until the kids texted her to say that they were ready to go home.

But that day Izumi had no choice but to venture into the hospital, having literally been dragged inside by all 4 of her stepchildren.

Izumi didn't speak a word throughout their entire visit, instead, she spent the hour fighting back her tears as she listened to the children tell their mother that Izumi had taught them all how to make fresh pasty over the weekend and had helped them with their homework.

All things that in a better life Rei would have been able to do with the children herself.

It wasn't until she and the kids were about to leave that Rei finally spoke to Izumi directly, the older woman's warm words too much for her to handle as the greenette started to weep so hard that one of the nurses ended up rushing over thinking Izumi was hurt.

"I'm glad that they have someone so kind and gentle caring for them."

Izumi would end up visiting the hospital again by herself a week later, bringing along with her a box full of Rei's favourite sweets that the children had helped her to make.

Izumi is tiny, only 5'2 by the time she finishes growing.

Which is completely unfair because in only a few short years every single one of her stepchildren outgrows her.

She can still remember when Touya barely reached her shoulders, now she can only just reach his.

Her lack of hight makes kissing Enji so awkward because she has to get up on her tiptoes while he's bending down if she wants to reach his lips.

To get around the problem the two typically kiss while Izumi is placed on something, like one of the kitchen countertops or Enji's desk.

If there isn't anything for her to sit on Enji will just lift her up into his arms, she hardly weighs anything so it's not an issue.

They do get a lot of complaints from the kids for making out in the hallways though.

By the time Shoto enters U.A Izumi is the second shortest member in the entire Todoroki Clan.

The only member shorter than her?

3-year-old Hiro.

Nemuri Kayama, otherwise known as Midnight, becomes the first friend that Izumi had made in years.

They meet during the first party that Izumi attends as Mrs Todoroki and immediately hit it off, somehow.

Even after years of friendship Izumi still doesn't know how she managed to become BFFs with the R rated heroine.

The pair hang out together at least once a month, often hitting up several designer boutiques that have Izumi cringing at how much money she's spending while Nemuri simply laughs and tries to get the greenette to buy something even more expensive; it's not like Todoroki is short on money after all.

Jokingly asks Izumi if she would ever be interested in a threesome every time they meet up, just like she did on the night they met.

At least Izumi thinks Nemuri is joking.

Eventually, Natsuo manages to convince Izumi to make her own Instagram account.

It is set to private so that only her friends and family have any access to it.

Most of the time her feed is filled with food picture of what she's made that day or pics of the family doing something mundane, like Touya and Fuyumi helping her fold the laundry or Shoto training in the gym.

Occasionally she will post a selfie or have one of the kids take her picture.

It doesn't matter what the picture is of Enji likes each and every one of them only seconds after they're posted.

The morning after their very delayed wedding night Izumi finds that she is unable to move.

She can't even feel her legs never mind wiggle her toes.

Thankfully Todoroki hadn't gone into the agency that day, instead working on some backlogged paperwork from his home office a little further into the estate.

It's awkward, to say the least, when Izumi calls him asking if he'll come back to their bedroom and help her, but seeing as he was the one who put her into such a state in the first place he shouldn't mind helping her out.

Which Todoroki doesn't, surprisingly, never once complaining about how he didn't have time to deal with her while he massaged her sore legs.

He was even nice enough to run a warm bath and carry Izumi to it bridal style after the greenette found out that she was unable to walk two steps without falling over.

Whenever Enji is working at the agency on a difficult case and is unable to leave for days at a time his entire staff waits in anticipation for his wife to visit.

In the eyes of the staff who are all exhausted and stuck eating nothing but cheap convenience store food, Izumi's visits are a god sent.

She always makes sure to bring with her a mountain of food that she had been cooking all day so that they can each get a homemade meal in them before bringing Enji his portion personally.

May of the sidekicks like to joke that Izumi should work at the agency with how many villains she's helped put behind bars just by skimming Enji's paperwork or simply listening to them complain about cases that they're struggling with.

Whenever she hears that Izumi just laughs and says that she's very happy being a housewife, but she wouldn't mind analysing their quirk and giving them some pointers if they wanted.

Which they always do because everyone knows that Mrs Todoroki is an expert when it comes to quirks.

The boss bragging about how much of a genius his wife was more than once when they managed to convince him to go drinking with them after work.

Izumi calls him Todoroki for years; it doesn't matter if they're in private or around the children the only name she will call him is Todoroki.

The first time she actually calls him Enji is when they start to get intimate with each other a few months after she turns 18, her husband insisting that she call him Enji whenever they are together like that.

Eventually, she stops calling him Todoroki all together, though Izumi has no idea when the change occurs, only noticing that she was even doing it in the first place after Touya made a comment about how she was now calling the 'old man' by his name all the time.

Enji, on the other hand, had been calling Izumi by her name from the very beginning, at least when they were in the company of other, particularly his children, whenever they were alone he would simply call her Girl.

It isn't until she turns 18 that he stopped calling her Girl and instead addressed her as Wife, though that habit doesn't last particularly long, with Enji realising one evening while they were both sitting together in his office that he had only been calling her as Izumi for several nights, or was it several months he didn't actually know.

By the time their 5th wedding anniversary rolled around Enji and Izumi have a plethora of nicknames that they call each other.

Dearest, Sweetheart, Beloved, the list doesn't stop much to their children's embarrassment.
