Chara slithered up to the window in her whiplash form a grin appearing on her face as she looked down.
Satos, in his Hell Knight form, walked up beside her, looking down and growled angrily.
"I had a feeling he'd come here, eventually." Chara said as she stared at the Doom Slayer sprinting across the streets of the city and towards the castle walls.
"How about we send him a gift, send out a couple hundred demons and my Guardian." She ordered still smiling.
"You are that willing to get rid of that many assets? As well as that demonic Knight Sentinel?" Satos asked.
"We need to delay him as long as we can, our friend over here told us 16 hours, but now he tells us it's going to be another fucking 24." Charas smile fell and she growled at the Makyr who was doing strange motions with his hands around Frisks chest where her soul was.
"This soul was made to not be removed, I thought I would be able to do it faster, just give me some more time." The Makyr said while trying to concentrate on his work.
"You know we won't be be able to kill him, even with all the resources we have. It will take him time but he will get to us..." Satos said with a small touch of worry in his voice which Chara picked up on.
"I am only trying to delay him. Once we have the soul, we will get the hell out of here." Chara responded and Satos nodded with a sigh.
"So we just wait?" Satos asked.
Chara was about to respond when someone walked in.
It was a Makyr angel, however it was the standard version.
The angel then shifted into a rabbit monster.
"I've had enough of being the Khan Makyr's bitch. She didn't even realize I was gone." The shifter said with a grin.
"Stop fucking around Nessus and position the troops on this floor, the Doom Slayer is here." Chara said.
"On it." The Shifter said and shifted into an Archvile before storming off.
Chara turned back to the window with a sigh, the Slayer was only a few hundred meters from the castle wall now.
"What should we do with our prisoners, still keep them all in the same room?"
Chara nodded. "Ye-oh you can telepathically communicate? I can't do that..." Chara said as she saw hundreds of demons began to swarm out of the castles gate.
"Once you get older you'll get the ability to communicate with the species you have shifted into at that moment telepathically, as well as other demons." Satos explained.
"Neat."
The Slayer stopped running and pulled his chain gun, activating the twin barrels weapon and unleashing a wave of bullets into the horde. Most of the enemies he killed were imps as they ran forward first, eager to rip the man into shreds.
Bullets tore through flesh and bone, creating a seemingly never ending horde of falling flesh piles. The barrels began to overheat and William had to swap out the weapon for his Rocket launcher, firing several rounds into the horde, most of the imps were now dead and he could now clearly see the heavy and super heavy demons barreling towards him. He charged towards a Hell Knight and delivered a blood punch straight to the jaw which literally sent its head flying off and it's body feet first so fast into a Baron that it impaled it almost comically. Swapping to his ballista he charged up the destroyer blade, ignoring the several assortment of projectiles that assaulted him. He released the trigger and a wave of Argent energy cut the two barons of in front of him in half. He spun around at the sound of a caco demon and swapped to his Super Shotgun and with the meathook he swung himself behind the flying creature and impaled it's eye with his doom blade, jumping off it before it exploded, landing on the head of a Tyrant and stabbing it multiple times with his doomblade before it fell to the ground. He jumped down and rolled to keep his momentum and blasted an Archvile with his Super Shotgun, the demon letting out a screech and staggering back. Grabbing his crucible blade he swiftly and effortlessly decapitated the tall demon to see a dozen imps almost on top of him. He used the flame belch to set most of them on fire and launched a grenade and dashed back, seeing them all explode in a pile of blood and gore.
He effortlessly tore through the horde which was hundreds in size. No one could lay a hand on him as he killed each and every last demon. By the time he was done, he was covered in blood and gore not his own.
Chara whispered. "Fuck."
Only one demon was left standing, her Guardian.
The large demon in Knight Sentinel armor towered over the Slayer. However he was far from intimidated.
With a grunt the Doom Slayer took out his ballista and charged the destroyer blade. With him having to stand still to use the weapon mod the Guardian made a mighty roar and ran forward, Argent spear raised.
However, when the Sentinel came close enough, he swapped to his meathook and pulled his crucible. The demon swung and the Doom Slayer grappled around the back of the creature and swung at its legs. It fell onto on knee and the Slayer decapitated it.
Chara was a mix of pissed off and terrified.
She was pissed that this man, one man could destroy an entire horde of mostly heavy and super heavy demons and come out in one peace.
And she was terrified that he could do it. She hoped she could delay him long enough for her to get Frisks soul.
Sentinel Prime.
Red exited the slipgate and into what seemed like a hanger, however there were no slips to be found, just an empty space. About 80 Knight Sentinels talking among themselves. when they saw her they suddenly stopped. A Knight Sentinel in a red version of the armor began to bark orders in Argenta. The soldiers scrambled into a shoulder to shoulder formation. She was quite confused and walked up to them and they immediately all bowed.
Red stepped back in shock. The Knight Sentinel in Red armor walked up to her.
"Ma'am, you've recently been promoted to Commander, you will be leading us through the castle of Torment and to rescue our objective." The man said. Then it suddenly dawned on her. She technically was still part of the Sentinel military, she never officially left. She didn't want to be in the Sentinel military anymore, nor be placed in charge of a company of sentinels. But at this moment in time they had to join forces.
"Uh, Commander?" The Knight Sentinel asked. Red realized he had been staring off into space, lost in thought. She shook her head and looked at the large blue slipgate in the middle of the large room.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Uh, you're in charge." Red said bluntly.
"Huh?" The Sentinel stared in confusion.
"I don't wanna be in charge, nor do I know the first thing about leadership. So do me a favor, you lead your men and I'll do the killing."
30 minutes later.
City of the Damned.
As battle raged on in the castle, dozens of feet sprinted down the hellish street and towards the Castle of Torment.
The Knight Sentinels let out war cries and ignited their Argent Spears. Suddenly the gate was destroyed and dozens of Hell knights came barreling out, charging towards the Knight Sentinels.
"DESTROYER BLADES NOW!" The Sentinel commander shouted and the charge was halted. About 2 dozen Knight sentinels stepped forward into a combat line with ballistas in hand and began to charge their destroyer blades. The Sentinals charged their weapons for 10 seconds before the commander shouted. "FIRE!"
All at once, 2 dozens blade like energy projectiles shot forward. Red stared in fascination at the almost comical display of brutality as at almost the exact same time each of the projectiles connected with a Hell knights stomach, severing it in half. The projectiles each tore through multiple Hell Knights.
A small smile spread on Reds face as the once barreling and intimating stampede of Hell knights was removed from the field in such a brutal, badass way.
"CHARGE!" The commander shouted and the company continued their assault on the castle. Dozens of Knight Sentinel stormed the front gate and and ended up in a courtyard. A small battle began to erupt within the courtyard. Luckily for them most of demons there were fodder, with the occasional Arachnotron and Caracas joining the fray. Red wasn't sticking around however, she had a Slayer to catch.
Red sprinted through the courtyard, cutting through mecha soldiers, possessed, and any fodder demons that got in her way. A Baron of Hell joined the fray and she quickly slid under its legs before the green projectile could be launched at her. Standing up from her slide Red spun around and cut at one of the barons legs, causing it to stumble, and nearly fall. As it tried to catch its balance, Red jumped onto its back and stabbed her blade through the demons neck. The demon roared in pain and tried to shake her off. But she stabbed again, and again, and again until the demon let out a final roar and fell to the ground. Red jumped off the demon and rolled. But she was knocked back multiple feet as something slammed into her body. Looking up she saw it was a pinky. She hadn't even seen the bastard. Red growled and shot up opening up a rift and stepping through it. The pinky snorted in confusion, trotting up to the rift and ignoring the battle around it. As it was about to stick its head through the portal, something landed on its back. It let out a startled cry which was silenced as Reds blade was plunged between its eyes. Red hopped off it and continued her sprint up ahead just a few dozen meters was a large 10 foot tall medieval looking door which two barons guarding it. Red sighed in annoyance, halting her sprint and looking behind her. As she hoped, the Knight Sentinels were crushing the fodder demons and slowly making their way to her position. A small smile formed on her lips as she turned her head back to the barons, readying her weapon.
Castle of Torment
30th floor
A familiar green looking space marine sprinted down the hellish hallway which seemed to stretch on forever. His suit, and a part of the hall behind him were soaked in the blood of his enemies. Shotgun in hand, The Doom Slayer fired 3 sticky bombs into the approaching horde of imps, spraying blood and guts onto the floors, walls, and ceiling. He swapped to his plasma gun and dashed to the side to avoid a swing from a Baron of Hell. Spinning around the Slayer activated his heat blast mod, tearing the armor off of hell's Royal Guard. Before the thing could recover he blood punched the baron and sent it flying into the wall and onto one knee. The Slayer dove forth, grabbing the demon by its right horn and stabbing it in the chin with his doom blade, the demon going limp at his feet. He kicked it away and fired a barrage of plasma rounds at a Dread Knight who was charging him. The plasma slowed it down but didn't halt his charge. Swapping to his chainsaw, The Slayer made to saw of the things ugly head. Before he could do this he collided with a blue energy shield. Or to be exact, a Carcasses energy shield. The Doom Slayer let out a roar and used the heat blast mod on the plasma gun to blow the thing away.
The Dread Knight was now pretty much on top of him, and launched itself into the air to slam down on him. The Slayer looked up and launched a ice bomb which connected with the demons left foot. It froze in place and started to fall. The Doom Slayer dove at the Carcass, stabbing it in the chest with his chainsaw. And with a grim satisfaction he pulled his weapon up.
A shattering noise could be heard behind him and ice was scattered. The Slayer smirked, he knew that would work. However he didn't have to pat himself on the back as three pinkies charged him as well as a pain elemental who was wiggling its way behind the trio.
A pinky demon could only be harmed from the back, it's front is armored. That's why the Slayer launched two grenades at either side of the wall in front of the demons. The two grenades bounced off the wall and at the feet of the pinky in middle. The grenades exploded and all three were blown sky high. The pain elemental cried out in terror, turning its large body around and wiggling away the way it had came.
The Slayer ran and jumped up into the air, using his jump boots to jump a second time and grab the small hand of the Pain elemental, proceeding to pull it down towards the ground despite the look of true terror on its face.
The two of them dropped to the ground and the demon squirmed and struggled to break free from her mans grip. Suddenly a hand was plunged into its eye and it screamed like a small child. Flaying it's arms around in a desperate attempt to stop this "assault". Once the eye was removed, the Slayer made a fist, crushing it then threw the body at the wall.
He continued to walk down the seemingly never ending hallway. It took almost an hour to get to the next floor and he was certain he was on the final one.
Suddenly he heard running footsteps then then the outline of a Dread Knight. It suddenly stopped in its tracks upon seeing him.
"Oh shit..." The voice was feminine, it was definitely a shifter. But this couldn't be the one he just recently fought. It seemed fucking terrified of him. The other one couldn't have been less relaxed while fighting him.
"No...not yet. I'm not fucking ready!" The demon took a step back, a growl escaping its mouth. Before the Slayer could make the first move, the shifter shifted into a whiplash and fled. The Slayer let out a grunt of anger and sprinted after it. The chase was short and The Doom Slayer jumped forward, leaping onto the whiplash and pinned it to the ground. Before he could stab it with his doom blade it shifted into a Baron of Hell and kicked him off. Before shifting back into a whiplash and slithering away yet again. Switching to his shotgun he fired a sticky bomb ahead of the demon. Without noticing, the demon slithered straight into it. It screamed as a chunk of its face and body were blasted off. The Slayer sprinted towards it eager to kill it before it could shift.
The Doom Slayer roared in anger as the demon began to shift. Before it could however, he plunged his doomblade into the whiplashes chest.
In a blink of an eye in shifted between dozens of forms before settling on a white humanoid form with black eyes. The Slayer was about to stab it again when it shifted again. The Slayer was kicked off by a Tyrant and was sent towards the ground.
The Slayer growled and pulled his crucible, charging towards the Tyrant who had an over confident look on its face. However the look was wiped off its face as the Slayer cut through the tyrants legs with his crucible, sending it to one knee. Making sure it didn't have time to shift he jumped and cut the Shifters form in half.
Wasting no time the Slayer quickly jumped onto the remaining half of the demon.
"FUCK YOU YOU LITTLE PIECE A SHIT WERE GONN FUCKING K-" The Doom Slayer plunged his crucible blade into the head of the Tyrant, killing it. For good measure he plunged his through the head a few more times, just to make sure.
He stood up a stared straight down the hall, he could see three doors. One very large door straight ahead and two smaller doors to the left and right of the larger door.
Readying his Plasma Gun, the Slayer ran down the hall and closer to the large door. Suddenly he stopped and turned to the door on the right.
He could have sworn he heard something in there, or someone. Without a second thought he kicked open the door.
The Slayer lowered his weapon at the sight of 5 monsters chained to the wall. Three literal goat people, a fish lady and a fucking skeleton.
The three stared at him all of them shocked except for the skeleton who had a tired smile on his face.
"A-are you here to rescue us?" One of the goat monsters said. The monster had a round form and a yellow beard.
The Slayer was annoyed. He was here to save the world, not rescue civilians.
He walked over to one of the monsters, the skeleton. This one didn't seem scared of him. The skeleton looked up into the Slayers helmet in curiosity.
"Heh..." The skeleton chuckled.
Was he fucking crazy?
The Slayer tore the chains off the skeleton and proceeded to do the same with the 4 other monsters.
"Who the fuck are you?" The fish monster asked.
"It doesn't matter." The Slayer simply said before making his way to the door.
"Y-you're leaving us?" The female goat monster asked.
The Slayer turned to face the group. "Stay here, I'll be back." Without giving them a chance to respond the Slayer bolted out the door and turned to the larger door. Swapping to the Heavy Cannon, the Slayer proceeded to kick down the door to find himself in a small room with a singular window. In the far right corner, a Makyr Angel was bent over the naked form of a human female. Behind the Angel we're two demons. A Hell Knight and a Baron. The Makyr let out its hand and a bright flash of yellow energy was let out. This temporarily blinded the Slayer in a flash of bright yellow light.
"Oh...we have company?" The familiar sound of Chara sarcastically asked. When the Slayers vision returned to normal he saw Chara, in her true form smiling and holding a bright red soul in her right hand. She held it up to her chest, but before that could happen a shot rang out and Chara dropped the soul.
The Makyr Angels head was now gone, reduced to a pile of blood and guts thanks to a single round from then Slayers Precision bolt mod for the heavy cannon.
Chara growled, a slipgate starting to appear behind her. She quickly snatched the soul from the ground before the two Shifters began to walk through the portal. Chara suddenly stopped and turned.
"Satos, take him." And with that, she turned, and walked through the slipgate.
The slipgate closed and the shifter turned roaring at the Slayer who pulled his Super Shotgun. Then suddenly the fire in its eyes was gone. It stood still and stared at the Slayer, with a mix of emotions he couldn't recognize.
It knew it was fucked.
With a hiss it sprinted to the window, breaking it and jumping out. Before it could begin to fall it grabbed onto the edge of the window and began to climb the wall of the castle.
With a grunt the Slayer quickly followed close behind. The roof wasn't far up and in just a few minutes of climbing the demon clambered onto the roof, the Slayer only seconds behind. Several statues stood on the roofs. The statues were of the various demon lords, some of which they Slayer had killed personally. The hell knight sprinted to the largest one and began to climb it. The Slayer was about to chase it when he caught glimpse of what lied down below. He could make out a battle going on down there.
Damn, they went after him.
The Doom Slayer turned his attention back to the demon crouching on top of the statue.
"Come kill me Slayer! What are you waiting for?"
Clearly this Shifter was delaying him so Chara could complete her mission. The Slayer could not let this happen.
The Slayer pulled out his ballista and fired. The hell Knight swapping to an Imp and jumping off the statue and landing a few feet in front of him where it shifted back into a Hell Knight and threw a punch towards the Slayers helmet.
The Slayer effortlessly ducked and swing and punched right back, clocking the larger demon in the jaw and sending it flying into one of the statues, destroying it and sending it off the side of the castle. The Shifter growled and shifted into a cacodemon, flying several feet up into the air and firing several purple flaming projectiles towards the Slayer who dodged all of them with ease and used the meathook on his Super Shotgun to grapple himself towards the Shifter who shifted into a Baron of Hell and dropped down to the ground. This caused the meathook to become detached.
The Baron of Hell charged forward, the Slayer fired a shot towards it, causing it to stumble slightly but continue the charge.
The Slayer landed, launching a grenade at the Barons feet and dashing to the side to avoid the demon.
The grenade exploded and the Baron faltered, allowing the Doom Slayer to bloodpunch it from behind, sending it to the ground and dangerously close to the edge of the roof. Before it could shift, the Slayer put a ballista round into its torso. The demon roared and stood up. Before it could make any moves on the Slayer, he fired another Ballista round into its chest and sending it off the edge.
Before it could fall however it grabbed ahold of the edge.
The demon than began to laugh maniacally as it desperately clung to the edge.
The Doom Slayer pulled out his Crucible blade and walked over to the edge.
"All we want is to destroy this anomaly and set this dimension free can't you see?" The demon said.
The Slayer ignored the demon and raised its crucible blade. However before he could bring it down on the demons hands it let itself go and it began to drop down below.
The Slayer watched as it fell and growled as it landed on the back of a pain elemental.
The Slayer made to turn around and immediately dashed backwards to avoid a crucible axe. This also sent him over the edge. But he grabbed onto the edge and jumped up, kicking the Marauder in the head and sending him flying backwards.
The Marauder grunted and quickly stood up, now brandishing his shield.
The two ran at each other but before they could strike each other, the Slayer suddenly stopped and allowed the Marauder to strike. The Doom Slayer effortlessly blocked and thrusted the weapon in the directions of the Demons head.
The Marauder dashed out of the way and fired his Super Shotgun. The pellets didn't inflict any pain upon the Slayer, but it was enough for him to be faltered just a bit. Just long enough for the Slayer to blood punch the demon, and send it over the edge of the building.
The Slayer looked over the edge, he couldn't see the body. To be fair, there was a raging battle going on below.
Pocketing his Super Shotgun, he began to climb down the building, before jumping back through the window that he had previously used.
Entering the room, he was about to make his way to the door when he saw the human girl slumped against the wall. This must have been his objective. She was by accounts useless as the soul had been taken from her body. However he was sure everyone, especially those monsters would appreciate if he'd rescue her as well.
Grabbing her by the waist with one arm, he quickly hoisted her over his left shoulder. With the objective secure he proceeded to kick down the door and back to the previous room. Inside he found the monsters up against the wall their magic ready. Their guards dropped once they saw the Slayer and their magic soon dissipated.
"My child!" One of the goat monsters cried, this one being female. She began to race towards the Slayer who set the girl down. The two larger monsters embraced Frisk, ignoring her nudeness.
The Slayer turned to the other monsters.
"Let's go." The Slayer said before turning and pulling out his heavy cannon.
Castle of Torment
Courtyard
Red wiped sweat from her brow as she recovered from the battle. She cursed herself as she looked across the battlefield. Most of the corpses were Demons, but there were also dozens of Sentinel bodies among the demons. Red felt a throb or guilt at witnessing this.
Just as the remaining sentinel forces began to rally to storm the castle, a bright flash of blue suddenly appeared in the middle of the courtyard. Weapons were immediately drawn and were lowered shortly after. As soon as Red saw who it was she smiled.
In front of her was The Doom Slayer, as well as Frisk, Sans, Asriel, Toriel and Asgore. As soon as Undyne and Red saw each other they ran at each other and hugged.
"Good to see you punk! You wouldn't believe the shit I saw in there!" Undyne said and released her.
"H-how did you get captured?" Red asked curiously.
Undyne scratched her head and chuckled. "Bit of a weird story I'll a explain later." Undyne turned back to the Slayer who was staring up at the Castle.
"So uh...what happ-" Undyne was cut off by William who pointed up to the Castles roof.
"Take me up there." He practically ordered Sans.
The Skeleton shrugged. "Don't know why yo-" Before he could finish a strange red flash appeared on the roof.
"Eh, lets go." Sans said and the Slayer grabbed onto the skeletons arm.
"I'm coming with!" Red exclaimed and grabbed Sans other arm and they vanished
The trio re appeared on the roof. In front of them were four barons of hell in a double column formation with two Tyrants in-front of them standing side by side. In front of those two were Chara and Satos. They seemed to be using a portal ring to form a slipgate. William had noticed the ring earlier but thought nothing of it.
Chara and the rest of the demons turned to face them, Chara smiling. "I'd say I'm surprised you managed to get up here, but I knew I should have killed the skeleton. Anyways...you six buy us some time will you?" And with that the demons all roared.
Two gaster blasters appeared and blasted most of the armor off of the Barons in the front. With their faltered state, William pulled out his crucible and jumped up and relieved the two demons of their heads. With the help of the help of the Doomblade of course. With the front offense down, one of the remaining two charged forward. The Slayer charged back, firing a storm of pellets with the Super Shotgun at its lower half. It faltered and William slid on one knee to avoid a strike from the second Baron. Whilst on his knees he cut the leg off of the first Baron, sending it onto one knee where Red stabbed it in neck. Jumping off it, she formed a rift and jumped through to avoid a ground pound from the last remaining Baron. She re appeared behind it and cut away at both of its legs. And when it hit the ground it was impaled by a few dozen bones curtesy of Sans.
Chara looked bewildered and angry.
"These fools won't be able to hold them off longer enough for me to open the Slipgate." She stated to Satos.
"Let me take them, I could buy enough t-"
"No!" Satos's eyes grew, the way she had said it, it was as if she didn't want him to die, as if she cared.
"Once we get to earth, the Slayers earth. There will be a Spirit there waiting for us. She will take control over your body, and then you will provide the time I need to resurrect the Icon of Sin." Chara explained.
Satos nodded. "I understand." That brief flutter he had experienced was now gone.A strange human need he had long forgotten. Those feelings, were now buried deeper within him now. For he had not been human for a long time.
"But...how will we be able to survive until the portal is ready?" Satos asked.
"Simple, I'll hold them off." Chara said and shifted into a Baron of Hell before charging the Slayer.
The Doom Slayer, who had just killed the last Tyrant, dashed to the side just in time to avoid a slash from Chara.
While the two brawled, Red and Sans shifted their attention onto the remaining shifter who growled at them.
Satos was about to launch himself at the two when the slip gate behind him suddenly finished forming.
Seeing this, Chara jumped back from The Slayer who gave chase. "Let's go, now!" Chara shouted at Satos who ran through the portal. The demon turned around and began sprinting towards the portal with the Doom Slayer close behind her. Red ran after as well while Sans fired all form of magic attacks. None of them being able to slow her down for long and she jumped into the portal. The Doom Slayer jumping in immediately after.
"William wait!" Red exclaimed but it was too late.
She turned around to where Sans was standing.
"The Commander in charge should be able to contact one of my associates. He can get you and your friends back to Earth." Red stated.
Sans nodded and was gone with a blue flash.
Red turned to the portal with a sigh.
This was it...
And she jumped through.
