Chapter 12 Old Rivals

It's been about a month since Amon was killed and since the last of Sean's past was finally revealed. In that time Sean and Korra's relationship had grown and the wounds of his past began to finally heal after 300 years.

Right now it was early morning on Air temple island with most awake save the two.

Sean slowly opened his eyes before finding a weight on his chest making him look seeing Korra on his chest making him smile before kissing her forehead making her smile as she woke.

"Morning." Korra said before sitting up showing she was in her bra and panties.

"I never get tired of this sight lately." Sean said making her giggle before kissing him before he held her close.

And enter the kids.

"Guys! It's almost...!" Ikki tried to say before she and her sister spotted the two.

"Uh oh." Sean said making Korra blush like crazy.

"GET OUT!" Korra yelled throwing her boots at them before they ran out clearly mortified. "UGH! The one thing I hate about this place is there are no locks." Korra said embarrassed.

"And the the fact that the kids never knock. You'd think Pema would have told them to have manners." Sean said holding her close making her sigh before just enjoying the moment.

Later

"I am so sorry about this morning you two." Tenzin said rubbing his face.

"Why were you two in your underwear?" Ikki asked making Korra blush up a storm.

"Ikki!" Pema yelled.

"We'll explain that when...Your my age." Sean said.

"Aw." Ikki said.

"Ugh." Korra said rubbing her forehead.

"By the way. Aren't your parents supposed to be here later today?" Sean asked Korra making her smile.

She had received a letter from her mom a few days ago about them coming to Republic City to visit for a few days.

Needless to say she was excited to see them again after the whole Equalist thing was over.

"Oh yeah. Thanks for reminding me." Korra said kissing him making him smirk.

"Ugh. You two. I'm glad your both in a relationship and all but jeez." Turok said rolling his eyes.

"At least I can get one looking an adult." Sean said making Korra snort.

"Hey I ain't looking for a relationship since that BS Aphrodite pulled on me when I turned 13." Turok said.

"What happened when you turned 13?" Asami asked.

"One her female lovers snuck into..." Sean trialed off before looking at the kids. "Out!" Sean yelled making them moan in disappointment before leaving. "As I was saying one of her female lovers snuck into his room and stripped him butt naked before trying to have her way with him." Sean said shocking them that she sent after a 13 year old.

"Your kidding." Korra said in disbelief.

"NOPE! I woke up and screamed." Turok said looking terrified. Sean had bust into the room and saw the whole thing before throwing her into the wall and gave Aphrodite an earful that to this day she was scared of him a little.

Korra and the others laughed a little.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY! Who sends a whore on a 13 year old boy like that?" Turok asked.

"She does. Remember she tried to do the same bullshit to me when I was 18. I was in no mood for that." Sean said making Korra grin.

"I'm glad because now you have me." Korra said making him smirk.

"So very true." Sean said kissing her.

"Ugh." Turok said gagging before Korra air bent him into a wall. "Ok I deserve that." Turok said making them laugh.

Later

Korra and Sean were at the docks waiting for her parents.

"Where are they?" Korra asked.

"Oh calm down. You know those boats from the south pole are slow as hell." Sean said rubbing her shoulders.

"I know. But I hate being away from them for so long." Korra said.

"I'm a little bit more worried about your father giving me death threats." Sean said making her giggle.

"Oh please. Your basically a god he can't do anything even if he wanted to." Korra said.

"Doesn't mean it won't stop him from trying." Sean said making her laugh before they heard the horn. "There they are." Sean said seeing the ship before they docked with the island.

However both were quick to notice the mist covering the sea and the entire island and city.

"Where'd this fog come from?" Korra asked.

"Hmm." Sean said before her parents got off before she rushed to her parents before pulling them into a hug.

However Sean frowned at he looked out at the mist before hand landed on his shoulder.

"You ok?" Tonraq asked.

"Yeah...I just feel like theres something out there." Sean said before helping him with Senna's luggage. "You know there is such a thing as too much." Sean said making her and her daughter giggle.

"Don't tell me your complaining about something so minor." Korra joked.

"Hardly. But there is such a thing as too much. They're only staying for a few days." Sean said heading back to the house.

"I assume you two have been having a good time together?" Senna asked her daughter about their relationship making her smile.

They had mostly gone on walks and he took her out when she wasn't training but she enjoyed every minute with him after all these years of waiting.

"More than you can imagine." Korra said making her mother smile.

Once inside Sean and Tonraq set the bags down.

"Yikes. And I thought Julia had a lot of shit." Turok said.

"Oh shut it." Sean said.

"I don't think we were introduced before." Tonraq said.

"Oh yeah. This is my adopted little brother Turok. He may look like a 13 year old but he's a hundred years old. And we call him the Immortal." Sean said.

"Why do you call him that?" Korra asked.

"Because of this." Sean said grabbing one of his blades before trying to slice his head off but Turok dodged.

"How bout we not slice my fucking head off for a change?" Turok asked making him grin.

"Wait he can survive having his head cut off?" Korra asked.

"A little something Hades gave him as a joke for making fun of his appearance. Does this to torture him every now and then." Sean said.

"I hate you so much." Turok said making him and Korra chuckle before the whole place shook.

"Whoa. Where the fuck did that come from?" Reznov asked before Sean narrowed his eyes before rushing outside.

Rushing to a cliff he felt the vibrations again before Korra rushed to him.

"Whats wrong?" Korra asked.

"This feeling...I know this. It's familiar...I haven't felt it sense." Sean said thinking before it clicked. "Oh fuck." Sean said annoyed before the ground under them began to crack before Sean forced Korra away as the land he was standing on was lifted by a large hand as everyone else came out.

"Oh...MY..." Korra tried to say seeing a huge monster with some kind of temple attached to his back.

"The Slave of the Gods. Finally within my grasp."

"Cronos!" Sean yelled seeing his grandfather.

"I know it was you who took the box from Pandora's temple, Spartan. Who else could?" Cronos said referring to the temple on his back. "I lived in torment because of you. After you took the box out of the temple 300 years ago Zeus no longer needed me. He banished me to the pits of Tartarus before I recently escaped!" Cronos yelled.

"I was tasked by my father to secure the box and bring it back to Olympus out of concerns." Sean said.

"You serve the gods out of your need for redemption for slaughtering your entire family in that temple." Cronos said making him glare. "But this time...Retribution finally comes to me. Demon of Sparta!" Cronos said picking him up between his fingers.

Korra looked in shock seeing Sean's grandfather.

"The Legendary Titan. Cronos. The father of Zeus." Tenzin said in shock.

"He's huge!" Ikki yelled.

Korra was about to rush in and help but Turok stopped her.

"Uh-uh. This way out of your league. Let him handle this." Turok said making her look worried.

Cronos held Sean between his fingers as he pushed them apart.

"Kruger, your Death will not be a gentle one." Cronos said trying to crush him but Sean pushed his fingers apart before slashing the fingers making him laugh before Sean created a blinding light. "AHHH! MY EYES!" Cronos yelled as Sean dived down before using his blades to swing to his right hand and landed. "BAAAH! Damn Brat! You will suffer when my sigh returns." Cronos yelled.

Sean shook his head before seeing a large number of undead warriors making him sigh.

"Well, I'll take this over fighting Amon's pawns any day." Sean said before slashing through them with ease before Cronos got his sight back before moving his arm making his restraints move.

"Where did you go?" Cronos asked before Sean climbed his arm to a blister before destroying it giving his position away. "There you are!" Cronos yelled balancing his arm.

"Great." Sean said annoyed before Cronos. tried to smash him but Sean smashed one of his fingernails before pulling it off.

"ARGH! You little bastard!" Cronos yelled.

"EWWW!" The girls yelled disgusted.

"Ok thats disgusting." Korra said.

"I CAN FUCKING HEAR YOU!" Sean yelled before jumping on his hand before Cronos brought him to his face.

"You are clearly a skilled warrior. But you will never be forgiven for your crimes!" Cronos yelled making Sean make another flash of light. "MY EYES!" Cronos yelled before Sean landed on a platform on his waist before opening a compartment showing some glowing crystal.

"Oh this again." Sean said before equipping the Nemean Cestus before bashing the crystal but Cronos grabbed him.

"There you are." Cronos said.

"Oh fuck." Sean said.

"I will make you into a bloody stain." Cronos said smashing his hands together.

Only Sean stopped them from hitting as he used brute strength to push them apart before summing the Blade of Artemis to slash his palm.

"KRUGER!" Cronos yelled enraged before trying to crush him but Sean jumped before landing on his shoulder but Cronos caught him again.

"ENOUGH! Trust me. Eating you will be more unpleasant for me!" Cronos yelled.

"OH SHIT!" Sean yelled as he was dropped in.

Korra gasped in horror covering her mouth as Cronos laughed at his victory.

Only to start groaning in pain.

"Whats happening?" Senna asked.

"Bad case of indigestion." Turok joked before Korra smacked him in the head. "OW!" Turok yelled.

"Not the time." Korra said before blade went through Cronos and cut him open making his guts spill out and Sean jumped out.

"UGH! Ok that was disgusting." Sean said repulsed making Korra sigh with a smile seeing he was fine.

"You win for now. Let me be." Cronos said holding his guts.

"Oh no you don't. I'm gonna finish what my father should have." Sean said jumping to the crystal before punching it a few times before it broke and flew into Cronos's chin before Sean lodged it in further.

"CURSE THESE CHAINS!" Cronos roared in pain before Sean landed on his head making him growl. "I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED THIS FROM A COWARD SUCH AS YOURSELF! A COWARD WHO KILLS HIS OWN KIN!" Cronos roared.

"Yeah thats funny from the guy who ate his own kids out of fear." Sean said making him growl before looking directly at him and surprisingly he started laughing confusing him and everyone.

"What he is he laughing about?" Jinora asked.

"I don't know but something tells me we're about to find out." Turok said.

"I see it now." Cronos said.

"See what?" Sean asked.

"YOUR DEATH!." Cronos said shocking Korra and the others. "2 years from now you will die. And you want to know the Ironic part of it all? It's not by Ares or the enemies you've made in the last 300 years. It's By YOUR...OWN...HANDS!" Cronos yelled making him glare before summoning the Blade of Artemis before charging it. "KRUGER!" Cronos yelled before seeing what he was doing. "NOOO!"

Sean stabbed his blade into his head making him roar in pain before Sean began to jump down to the ground before landing away from the others and looked to the skies.

"DO YOU SEE NOW ARES! DO YOU NEED MORE PROFF THAN THIS!" Sean roared as Cronos fell before his hand fell directly on him.

Korra gasped before the hand moved back as Sean moved groaning in pain as his armor cracked apart.

"Not again." Sean said before vomiting blood as he stood up as his armor fell apart.

"Lets get down there." Reznov said before they heard a bird cry making them look to see some flaming bird.

"Uh oh." Turok said.

"What is it?" Mako asked.

Sean growled as he limped back to the others before the bird landed in front of him before turning into the one person he hated more than Anyone. Ares.

"YOU!" Sean said glaring at him.

"HMPH! Look at you now. A once mighty warrior now limping. Your wasting your potential." Ares said disgusted.

"Your not supposed to be here. Father forbids you from coming anywhere close to me." Sean said.

"You think thats gonna stop me? You could have helped me claim Olympus from him." Ares said before pulling out his blade. "And now look at you. Wasting your power on pointless nonsense." Ares said.

"Your needs are petty and pathetic. I no longer serve you!" Sean said.

"I grow tired of your nonsense! I am the God of War! And soon It will be my way that will be the Will of the Gods with your help. You must once more Vow to Serve me." Ares said.

"NEVER AGAIN!" Sean roared.

"Then you leave me no choice." Ares said before grabbing him and slammed him down a few times before throwing him into a wall making him cough up blood.

"Is that the best you can do?" Sean mocked making him roar before trying to stab him.

"SUBMIT!" Ares roared.

"I WOULD RATHER DIE!" Sean roared before Ares slammed him into the ground before kicking him away.

"Where is that Demon inside you? The one who slaughtered for power?" Ares asked making him growl in rage before pulling out his blades trying to slash him only for Ares to grab them and swung him into a building before a piece of wood was lodged into Sean's chest making him groan in pain.

Korra and the others rushed down to help but a barrier kept them as bay.

"NO!" Korra yelled trying to get through.

"You will stay out of this." Ares said before stabbing Sean in the side making him roar in pain.

"Once I finish with you...I'll kill all of them next." Ares said making his eyes widen before closing them.

The air had suddenly gone cold as if a dark presence had appeared.

"What is this?" Tenzin asked before a dark shroud engulfed Sean's body before he opened his eyes showing they were blood Red. The Demon inside him had been awakened after hundreds of years.

(Insert Fever Dream from 300)

Sean snarled at Ares as a sadictic grin appeared on his face before kicking him back with such force making him grunt before Sean stood up.

"Sean?" Korra asked concerned before he looked at her making her see the blood red eyes.

"There it is. The demon I trained." Ares said pleased before Sean snarled at him.

"Die!" Sean roared before blasting him with red lightning making him grunt.

The others watched as Sean's former dark side finally surfaced after so long.

"I have been waiting for this day...For a long, long time." Sean said a demonic voice that sent shivers down their spines.

Ares roared before trying to slash him but Sean easily dodged before breathing black fire at him making him grunt in pain before Sean pulled out his blades and jumped on him before stabbing him in the shoulders making him roar before throwing him into a wall.

"IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO!" Sean roared amused before a large wave of water rose from the ocean before hitting Ares making him yell in shock before his barrier was down.

"This is the power you foolish throw away. And for what! For her?" Ares asked glaring at Korra who glared back.

Sean roared before blasting the earth at him making him grunt in pain.

"I am going to enjoy this." Sean said approaching him before Tonraq used water bending to restrain him.

"Thats enough." Tonraq said before Sean roared at him only for Reznov and Julia to blast him with their elements to keep him contained before Turok used fire to circle him.

"STAY OUT OF MY WAY!" Sean roared blasting them back.

"SEAN!" Korra yelled making him face her as she slowly approached him. "It's ok." Korra said as she stood in front of him as he snarled. "I need you to calm down. You said it yourself this isn't who you are anymore. Don't Let him remake you into someone you swore you would never be again." Korra said holding his hands.

Sean eyes glared harshly as he snarled before they softened as he gently placed a hand on her cheek.

"Korra." Sean said gently before the shrouds left him and his eyes returned to their forest green before he collapsed on his knees before she held him.

"Shhh. It's ok." Korra said.

Ares seeing all this growled about to strike when lightning struck him making him yell in pain before Zeus appeared.

"ARES! You were warned to stay away from him. You have already altered the course of his destiny. A destiny of great change. I will not let you interfere any longer!" Zeus thundered.

Ares growled before seeing Korra helped Sean up who glared at him.

"You think the people will ever forgive you?" Ares asked disgusted.

"I couldn't care less about people. I only care about those I care about. And you will not take that away from me a second time. Begone." Sean said making him growl before vanishing as did Zeus.

Later

Korra was using Water bending to heal Sean's wounds.

"I'm sorry you had to see that." Sean said in regret.

"It's not your fault. I heard what he said. He forced you to become that thing again." Korra said.

"I thought that thing was behind me but even after 3 centuries Its still inside me." Sean said before Korra held his hand.

"Sean. That thing isn't you. It's a part of you sure. But this is the real you here and now like I said. Thats who I love. No matter what." Korra said making him smile lightly before kissing her making her smile as she kissed back before she pulled back. "Um...About what Cronos said." Korra trailed off.

"What are you talking about?" Sean asked.

"You heard what he said. You die in 2 years by your own hands." Korra said making him scoff.

"Oh come on you can't seriously tell me your buying that garbage. Your listening to the guy who ate his own kids out of fear they would revolt against him. True it happened but only because of his own actions." Sean said.

"But what if he was telling the Truth?" Korra asked.

"Korra." Sean tried to say.

"I mean what if..."

"KORRA!" Sean said getting her attention. "I have no reason to die at my own hands. I have everything I need right here." Sean said holding her face making her smile lightly.

"But what if he was telling the Truth?" Korra asked still worried.

"We'll deal with it when and if it does happen. Though I very much doubt it." Sean said before kissing her making her kiss back.

"Aww."

Both froze seeing Ikki at the door before the others saw.

"We're not interrupting now are we?" Senna teased making them growl glaring at Ikki.

"Did you know they slept in the same bed in their underwear?" Ikki asked making them freeze in shock.

"YOU STUPID LITTLE!" Korra yelled.

"Excuse me?" Tonraq asked narrowing his eyes on his daughter's boyfriend.

"WHY YOU MOTHER!" Sean roared but stopped himself as he groaned holding his still bleeding side. "I hate you so much!" Sean yelled making her grin.

"Is that true? Should we be expecting grand kids in a year?" Senna teased making Korra blush.

"MOM!" Korra yelled embarrassed making her laugh.

"GET OUT!" Sean yelled using his magic to force them out and slammed the door. "I hate that kid so much." Sean said.

"When we have them I swear they better not turn out like that." Korra said before she smiled at the thought of children in their future.

"I'm more concerned they end up with too much energy like their mother." Sean said making her grin before sitting on his waist.

"And who said thats a bad thing." Korra said kissing him again enjoying the peace and quiet.

Authors Note: And now we have a possible prediction into Sean's future. Will it come to pass or did Cronos make it up to mess with them? Find out in future chapters.
