Chapter 21: I am Danny Phantom, right? Part 2
Previously
"Single file for buttkicking!..."Danny shouted, pressing a fist in his open palm.
It was then a ghost noticed Danny and whistles the other's attention. The collective stares of the ghosts turned into angry faces as they charged.
"Wow...they really don't want us stopping them..."Danny commented.
"Too bad..."Star said with a grin as she aimed.
Danny grinned before taking aim too.
Meanwhile, a certain ghostly fruitloop was watching via his insects.
"There he is..."He said before stopping in his tracks.
He was watching via a watch that showed a hologram and he knew just where to strike now.
"Well, I WAS going to fry that fat oaf of a father he has... but one thing I've learned in business is to never overlook an opportunity..."He said before leaving to make his move.
Oh boy.
Present Time
Valerie was panting heavily after she caught the latest ghost.
This time, it was a large ghostly gorilla who had been terrorizing a department store of all places.
"Take this, Wannabe King Kong!..."Val shouted before using her portable portal projector to send it away.
Once done, she had a tired look on her face. This was the tenth ghost she has caught in the last hour and the city still had HUNDREDS of them infesting the town.
"This is nuts..."Val said, feeling winded as she looked around.
As much as she hated to admit it, there were just too many ghosts for her to face...alone that is.
"As much as it pains me to admit it, I need to find Phantom..."She said as she got on her jet sled.
She had to both, go after a generic looking ghost who was terrorizing the street and to find her unofficial ally.
Meanwhile
With Team Phantom
Danny charged after the many ghosts with his team. He sent more ecto-blasts at them, relying of instinct and the memory of the crash course his friends have given him.
"Take this...uh, Batty..."Danny said as he sent a blast at a ghostly bat.
He managed to hit it and grinned.
"Still cool..."He said.
"Uh-huh..."Star said as she sucked the bat in the thermos, before going back to the battle.
"His witty banter still needs work..." Tucker muttered under his breath.
"I heard that..." Danny called dodging another ghost bat's attempt to hit him with it's wing.
He bent back and the wing flew over his head, barely touching his nose.
"Wow, that actually worked..."Danny thought before he punched the bat with an uppercut, sending it flying into a tree.
"I'm still not remembering all of this, yet my body does and I'm getting better at this..."He said.
"It's muscle memory, little brother..."Jazz said as she sucked it up with her thermos.
"Work those muscles, dude..."Tucker added before sending a blast at another ghost.
"While rendering their muscles useless!..." Sam said, dodging a punch from a ghostly monkey and managing to suck it into her thermos.
More ghosts were present and Danny swooped in to help his friends, sister and...Star.
Anyway, he found that the more he fought, the better he moved. Sure, he was still pretty rusty and there there were a few mistakes here and there but Danny pulled through.
"Get down! Before I remember if I can do something more painful to you!..."He shouted as he sent more blasts to the ghosts.
Tucker, Sam, Jazz and Star were also holding their own too, doing well against every ghost they took down. Especially the latter.
During the fight, Danny noticed Star holding the light saber and facing a large ghostly bird.
"RAAR!..."The creature shouted at her.
"Oh please, I've seen scarier from Paulina on a rainy day..."Star said unafraid as she made quick work of it, using her athleticism and weapon.
It tried to claw her, but she rolled to her side before striking its underside, managing to land a few hits there.
"Let's rock this robin!..."She quipped.
Danny noticed this and found himself grinning for a reason.
"I'll give her this much, she's really brave..."He thought, smiling.
He snapped out of it when he recalled that he was still facing a bunch of ghosts that needed to be taken down. So, with his head back in the game, he went at them.
Danny flew at them and took each down one by one. With each ghost he fought, he was getting better.
It was awesome!
"Can't believe I do this for a living..." He thought.
After finally sucking the final ghost in the area, which was a ghostly moose on a rampage, the ghost boy looked pleased.
"We did it!..."Danny said with a smile, only to frown once he saw that there was still a lot of ghosts causing trouble all over the town.
"But we're not nearly done yet..."Sam muttered.
"How many ghosts are left?..."Danny asked.
"A lot, little brother..."Jazz said with a sigh.
"Understatement of the century Jazz..." Tucker muttered under his breath.
Danny heard this and sighed.
"Well then, we better get going..."He said, determined.
The others nodded and followed, unaware some ghostly trouble is going to be finding them soon.
A little later
After taking care of that ghostly "zoo" that had invaded the time square, Danny and the others had decided to split up and cover more ground. Jazz went with Danny to go after a group of ghostly snakes by the park and Tucker went to go check some trouble by the Nasty Burger. Sam and Star ended up having to go after a ghost squid that was on a rampage.
They had their issues but right now, they were both members of team Phantom and they had to do this. Plus, Star rather be dealing with the ghost squid than another ghost snake.
"Hold still, you slimy creep!..."Star shouted as she used her saber on it to hit it.
"Normally I don't like to harm animals, but I feel like large, angry octopi are an exception..."Sam said, firing at it.
"RAAAAR!..."The ghost squid shouted before crash landing due to the attack.
With it down, Star wasted no time in using the thermos to capture it.
"We got it..."The blonde said.
The goth girl, however, was not smiling. She looked on edge.
"Seems almost too easy...I have a funny feeling about this..."Sam said.
"Me too..."Star said in an uneasy tone.
Just then, they were proven right when two large, ghostly wolves appeared, causing trouble.
"ROAR!..."The ghostly beasts yelled out as they began growling at them.
"I'm sick of always being right..."Sam said in dismay as she held her blaster ready.
Star stood back to back with Sam, as the two wolves circled around their "prey".
The goth fired away as the wolf jumped around for a moment to strike. Not that Sam would let him have a moment. Star, on the other hand, was backup into a wall as the other wolf walked closer.
Star narrowed her eyes at it and was actually a little annoyed now.
"Why is it that I keep finding myself cornered by some hairy ghost with bad breath?!..."Star yelled before taking the Fenton light saber and getting into a stance.
She soon ran to one ghostly wolf and Sam to the other. Sam took a step back with each blast as she went with Star.
The two girls realized that they need to keep moving and firing.
"That way..."Sam yelled as they ran to get them away from the savage spirits.
The ghostly wolves growled before following them. Thankfully, Sam and Star were ready for them as they positioned themselves perfectly for the spirits.
"Eat blaster!..."Sam cried out as she fired and aimed true as one wolf.
She managed to land a hit on the beast and Star managed to land a hit on it's friend. Unfortunately, two more ghost wolves appeared and surrounded them.
"Four against one..."Sam said.
"Well, it's better than five or six..."Star said before she went back to keeping them back with the saber.
Sam rolled her eyes.
"Oh brother, you're are making the same corny jokes now..."The goth said before blasting at the other wolves.
Star ignored that and focused on the ghost wolves. It was still four against one and the wolves looked pretty angry right now.
"Any ideas?..."Sam asked.
"First, let's get rid of two of them..."Star suggested.
"How?..."Sam questioned.
"Divide and conquer..." Star suggested.
Sam thought about it and since she couldn't think of an alternative plan, she nodded.
"Fine, I'm game..."The goth girl said.
The wolves snarled, moving in to attack. Sam blasted one and Star slashed another. Just then, they got a message from the Fenton Phones.
It's Jazz.
"Hey guys, Danny and I managed to get the ghost snakes. How are things on your end?..."The other girl asked.
"Not good. Star and I are cornered by a pack of ghost wolves and they look mean..."Sam said into the Fenton Phones.
"They don't just look mean..."Star snarked as the beasts growled at them.
"Don't worry, reinforcements are coming..."Jazz said through the Fenton phones.
During this time, Star and Sam were dodging the ghost wolves and trying to have as much space as possible.
"Hurry, it's not like we can keep this up for long..."Star said as she kept using her saber to defend herself.
"We're on our way..."Jazz said before logging off.
"The others are on the way! Let's hang tight and keep these mutts entertained for now..."Star said to the goth girl.
Sam nodded as she sent more blasts to the first two ghostly wolves. One was sent back while Star slashed at one who tried to get Sam from behind. Sam saw this and and nodded.
"I'll give her this much, she's definitely not the damsel in distress I thought she was..."Sam thought.
"These things are almost as vicious as Colette..."Star thought, panting heavily as she swung her weapon.
They were able to buy time and keep themselves alive until the other members of Team Phantom arrived to help.
"Down boy! Leave them alone!..."Danny shouted as he sent more blasts to the ghost wolves.
That hit a few of them and got their attention away from the two girls. The wolves growled and tried to leave but Danny wasn't going to let them get away. He flew after them, pulling out the thermos and pointing it to the ghostly mutts.
"Got' em!..."Danny said as he sucked them in the thermos.
With the ghostly beasts captured, Danny landed to the ground.
"You girls okay?..."He asked, concern.
"We are...thanks..."Star said, smiling at him.
It made Danny smile a bit, feeling good now. However, before anything else happened, someone laughed mockingly.
"Ah, bright boy.."A new voice was heard.
One that made the members of Team Phantom, sans Danny, alert. They turned around and saw a certain someone appear to the scene.
"YOU?!..."Sam, Tucker, Jazz and Star all yelled at the sight of him.
Danny was silent as he saw this guy. He was a ghost with blue skin, red eyes, a Dracula-Esque hairstyle and a weird outfit with a cap. He also had a very nasty look on his face. One that Danny has vague recollection of.
"Is this who I think it is?..."Danny thought as he frowned at him.
The vampire-esque ghost, otherwise known as Vlad Plasmius, turned his attention to the ghost boy.
"Hello, Daniel..."Vlad said with that smirk on his face.

Jay The Average Fanboy: Hi there. First, thank you and second, here are my replies to your questions:
1) Her ghost fighting outfit is the same for now.
2) Well, not yet anyway.
3)Hmm... haven't really thought about that.
4) Right now, Star knows that THE most important thing right now is dealing with Vlad and helping Danny recover his memory. Sure, she is still bummed that he doesn't remember her but she has her priorities straight.
:) I hope you enjoyed this! Remember to read and review :)
