Riley Robinson is an engineer aboard the construction starship, the Aurora. Not content with the state of his life, he spitefully performs janitorial work aboard the ship while his colleagues do all the science without him. However, during the Aurora's eighteen month trip, something goes horribly wrong, and Riley learns that there are things much worse than being a janitor.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Hey guys, so, once again I'm very sorry about this very long delay. As it has with many, Covid-19 has hit my family pretty hard, and that's taking up all of my focus right now. I decided to write this short notice to reassure everyone that I still intend to finish this story eventually, I have too many plans for it, I'm just going to have to ask for your patience. I'm also trying to change my approach to the pacing of the narrative. There are many incredible moments in Subnautica that I can't wait to explore here, and in my excitement I definitely rushed through the last few chapters, which noticeably effected the quality of the writing. Hopefully when I do have time to fully return to this, it will be with a much clearer head and a better mentality. I know you were probably hoping for another chapter when you saw this was updated, but keep your heads up and stay positive.
