After Ice cream, it was time to go. Everyone was tired. We got home and Ian begged Katie to read him a story again. So, we read him two stories. Just outside the room, I gave Kate another wonderful kiss. For some reason, I couldn't go to sleep. I got up to get some water and saw Katie's light one.

"Are you ok?" I asked

"Yes, just couldn't get to sleep for some reason. I thought I'd read for a bit," she said, "Ian had a copy of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban."

"Is that your favorite?" I asked

"Yes," I replied

"I bet you just love Lupin." She said

"Why do say that?"

"Because Lupin is a werewolf. Your whole family has a thing for wolves."

"That's because we are wolves." I said

Oh boy I thought. I'm going to have to pass this off as a joke somehow. The problem is I stink at keeping secrets. And as time goes on, the bond between us will get stronger. And it is only a matter of time.

"Well, it would explain a few things if you were," said Katie

"What do you mean by that," I asked

"There are pictures of wolves everywhere. Your huge appetite. And last night, I swear I saw wolves standing in a circle where people should be. And now I hear about the legends. It certainly makes me wonder," said Katie.

"What are you wondering?" I asked

"I think the legends might be true," she said.

"No," I said, "people can't turn into wolves. You've been reading too much Harry Potter.

"Seth, Katie, what are you doing up?" asked Mrs. Sue

"I couldn't sleep so Seth and I were talking," she said

"You know you aren't supposed to be in here together at night." She said

"Say goodnight. And get back to your own beds." She said

"Goodnight, Katie" I said giving her a hug

"Goodnight, sleep tight, God keep you all the night." She said.

As I walked back to my room, I know I'm not going to keep the wolf thing a secret from much longer. Katie is simply too observant. I have to tell Katie. I hope that she won't freak out about it. I don't think she will. She isn't one to hold a grudge or anything like that. I pick up my phone and text Jacob. I have a problem. Katie might figure things out.

Meet me at six near the council rocks.

I'll be there.

I tried to sleep but kept tossing and turning. I got up about four and decided to go for a run.

The sun is just starting to rise when I get to the meeting place- it is rocky outcrop not far from the house.

"I'm not going to be able to keep this a secret much longer," I tell Jacob

"What do I do?" I asked, "she practically figured it out last night. She saw us transformed- standing in a circle. She may have seen you when you phased yesterday. Plus, we are imprinted. The bond is getting stronger every day. She can read emotions and some thoughts now. And with as much as I think about wolves and the forest, I don't have much time."

"I've got an idea, "said Jacob.

"The biggest problem is exposure. If she is worthy, she can keep the secret. Sam and I have been talking about this fact. With more wolves, this is going to happen more and more. So, we just have to figure a way to show that Katie is trustworthy"

How on earth do we do that? I replied.

I'm not sure. Let me talk to Sam. If it weren't for the exposure risk, I'd tell her before she figures it out.

So, what do you want to do? Interview her? Put through some insane test. I asked.

I don't know. Sam might want to do that. I just want to talk to her. See if Katie is free one day next week. I'm sure you will figure something out," said Jacob.
