Chapter 9: Face-to-Face

Draco had half-expected her to come and find him, instead, nothing. Now sitting in a compartment of his own after having chased away his initial compartment sharing friends, giving him the personal space that he wanted, and the alone time.

From here on out, he will most probably be at the Malfoy Manor all day long, unless he is needed elsewhere. He looked out of the fogged glass window of the train as it travelled through across the country side of greenery and scenes.

The door of his compartment opened as he turned his head sharply towards the door, anger and annoyance etched onto his face like it is something permanent.

"Relax, I'm not your school mates, professors, or….Kagome…" the male said with a smirk at the mention of the last name.

Shippo sat himself comfortably across from Draco almost imperiously, and did nothing but to watch the young male quietly with that self-confident smile on his face, but his eyes are not smiling, only dangerously glinting.

"Draco Malfoy, a pure-blood family. Graduate of Hogwarts, and a person that was seeing Kagome earlier on, enough to bring her home to us again."

Draco's eyes narrowed at the other, his body posture more offensive, mimicking Shippo with the crossed legs, as he placed his entwined fingers on his lap, the two males' eyes clashed as they silently hold a war with just their eyes. And Draco is losing with just the presence that Shippo is exuding.

"I believe Mr Malfoy that your stop is coming up soon, but just a word of warning, we do not take lightly to the hurt that you have caused our Kagome, I'm here just as a warning."

With that, Shippo reaching out with a clawed hand as he placed it on Draco's chest and pushed him backwards hard enough for Draco to feel like he was being pushed off a building or something. And that shock his body as he nearly jump out of his seat eyes wide and breathing deeply.

It was just a dream, he thought, but the slight ache in his chest, where that person had pushed him, was the one that told him otherwise. That person was right though, the train was pulling into the station, Draco looked around in the train booth that he is in and looked out the window as it pulled into the station, and into his reflection, tired, haunted, distrusting and distant. Something that he sees more commonly these last few years, as compared to in his younger years.

"Visiting someone?" a female asked coolly from where she was seated on the sofa, not looking too pleased, but at the same time wanting an answer.

"Was this on your own accords, or is this his orders?" she asked.

"It doesn't matter, we are just glad that you are back and we just want to protect you," and added, "We know that you are strong and can protect yourself, we are doing the same as well."

"Shippo, I'm no different than what they did in the past by bringing Kikyo back to life, I just love Salazar too much, and he did mentioned to bring him back so that we can be together. Draco made me realise the very thing that I once had to face with as well for being the reincarnation of Kikyo when I first crossed into Sengoku Jidai."

"Ka-"

"It is my fault for not realising what I've done and letting history to repeat...It's over now, I will just…Not see him again."

"And what if it's him?"

"I don't know if I can face him."
