Thursday night, Harry, Hermione, Ginny, Neville, and Luna were gathered in the Room of Requirement for their first training session. Harry noticed that Neville looked determined and focused. He thought he knew why. Silently, he was cheering Neville on. He deserved the chance to avenge his parents, and Harry was glad to help him do it.
'Alright, since this is the first lesson, I think we should start with something simple. Without wands,' he addressed Ginny, Neville, and Luna. 'Neville, I wrote to Mister Ollivander this morning asking him to come up to Hogsmeade this Saturday. I've already paid for everything in advance.'
Neville blushed deep red. 'Th-Thank you, Harry.'
'Don't mention it. Anyway, I thought we should start off with dodging spells,' Harry continued. 'There's no reason to waste time and energy on a Shield Charm if you can just dodge the spell coming at you. Anyway, if you're on the receiving end of a Killing Curse, there's nothing a Shield Charm can do. Dodging is probably the most important skill you can possibly learn.'
'I was thinking Harry and I could cast Disarming Charms on you,' Hermione picked up where Harry left off, 'And you can practice dodging them. It won't be a powerful Expelliarmus, so don't worry about getting knocked off your feet or anything. Your wand will just fly out of your hand if you're hit. It's safe and it won't be painful at all. I think this is far better than what Harry suggested. He was going to have you dodge Stinging Hexes.'
Harry felt himself blushing. 'Right. Hermione's idea is better,' he muttered.
For the next hour and a half, Harry and Hermione cast Disarming Charm after Disarming Charm at the other three. Ginny was the best at dodging them. Harry remembered how excellent she was as a Quidditch Chaser in her 'old' fifth year. He supposed that this required much the same skill set.
Neville was clumsy at first, but got better at reading when the spells were being cast and where they would fly as they practiced. By the end of the night, he was almost as good as Ginny. He remembered how determined he had become in their DA sessions, and Harry admired the effort that he was putting in. Harry knew what Neville's thirst to avenge his parents felt like.
Luna was a natural, just like Ginny, even if she was not as good as her. She did not improve as much as Neville did in the course of the evening, but there was still a lot of time and opportunity to practice.
When the three were all drenched in sweat and red-faced from the constant movement, Harry and Hermione called it a day and conjured some goblets of water for them.
'Good work, everyone,' he complimented them sincerely. 'You're all getting really good at this. Keep working on your Occlumency. We'll see meet again some time next week.'
'Neville, don't forget to meet Mister Ollivander at lunch at the Three Broomsticks on Saturday,' Harry reminded him, knowing Neville's forgetfulness. 'Also, I was wondering if you could do Hermione and I a small favour.'
'Sure, anything,' said Ginny immediately.
'We're going to Gringotts again this Saturday. We'll go into Hogsmeade and sneak out from there. Would you be able to make up a cover story for us that we were with you the whole day?'
Neville nodded. 'Sure, but you'll have to be seen in Hogsmeade first before you leave.'
'We'll take the carriages into the village with you.'
'You can trust us. We'll make up something,' Ginny promised.
Harry doubted less and less with each passing day his confidence in the three of them.
When Ron Weasley saw his sister return at ten-to-nine that evening – with Neville Longbottom of all people – he pulled Ginny aside, wanting to tell her that she was too young to be with boys. Besides, Ron tried to tell her, she could do so much better than Neville Longbottom – Harry, for example.
Then, Ginny, instead of getting some sense talked into her, screamed at him. Something about how Neville was ten times the man he was – fat chance of that – and something about how they were just in the library, studying with Harry and Hermione.
And that had only made Ron more angry. His sister had been spending time with the traitors? He had to warn her. He had told her that she needed to be careful around them – they were just trying to turn her against him, he reminded her. Besides, there were so many better things to do other than studying in the library.
That led to Ginny exploding. Something about how Harry was a right sight better big brother than he was – again, fat chance of that – and how if he did not want to respect her choices in friends, then she had other brothers to talk to, before hexing him and running off.
Not only had Ginny just verbally slapped him in the face, she had also hexed his hair rainbow.
What was he, a clown?
Harry and Hermione got up early on Saturday morning. Harry was excited. He was going to spend a whole day with two of his favourite people in the world.
That Lucius's magic was being taken from him and Draco was going to become a nameless bastard were just two cherries on top of the enormous ice cream sundae.
He and Hermione joined the other three in the carriage down to Hogsmeade. Once there, the couple bade the others goodbye and reminded Neville again of his appointment with Mr Ollivander. Then, they made their way down a dark alley and disapparated.
They reappeared right in front of Gringotts. Harry and Hermione entered and sought out the nearest free goblin.
'Good morning, sir,' Harry addressed the goblin. 'I have an appointment with Chief Ragnok this morning.'
The goblin looked up. With a jolt, Harry recognized that it was Griphook.
'Lord and Lady Potter, is it?'
Harry and Hermione both nodded.
'Key please.'
Harry handed over the large silver key that led to his main Family Vault. Griphook examined it for a few seconds and then handed it back.
'Lord and Lady, please wait here.'
'I'm honestly not used to this "Lord and Lady" thing,' Hermione whispered to Harry, giggling. 'I'm glad nobody besides the goblins actually call you that. It makes me feel like I'm royalty or something stupid like that.'
'You're royalty to me,' Harry whispered back. Hermione's face at once turned a bright pink colour. She looked like she wanted to pounce on him with a snog…or something more. Being in the middle of Gringotts, however, she was forced to maintain decorum.
Griphook returned a minute later. 'Lord and Lady Potter, please follow me to Chief Ragnok's office. Lord Black has already arrived.'
Harry and Hermione followed the goblin down the familiar walk to the Chief Goblin's office. There, they found Sirius already seated opposite the Chief.
'Lord Potter, Lady Potter,' Ragnok greeted, bowing, 'May your vaults overflow and the bones of your enemies pile mountains.'
Harry and Hermione returned the greeting, bowing to the Chief as well before sitting down.
'Now, Lord Potter, Lady Potter, Lord Black. Whose business should I start with?'
'I think you should start with Harry, Chief Ragnok,' Sirius suggested. 'My business is…more exciting.'
'Very well.' Ragnok turned to his Deputy and said a few words in Gobbledegook. The Deputy rushed out.
'Deputy Chief Barchoke has just been sent to retrieve the cleansed item,' Ragnok explained, 'He, a group of Guards, and several goblin Curse-Breakers will return shortly.'
Sure enough, a group of about ten goblins, headed by Barchoke, entered the room a few minutes later. Barchoke presented Hufflepuff's Cup to the Chief Goblin, then stepped back to re-join the rest of the entourage.
'You may touch it now,' Ragnok said. Harry picked it up. He remembered when he had broken into Gringotts in the 'old timeline' to retrieve this very item. How the Flagrante Curse on it had burned his skin and the Gemino Curse had nearly drowned him in treasure. Now, it just felt like what a regular golden cup should.
'In addition to the Horcrux, there were also Flagrante and Geminio Curses placed on all items in the Lestrange Vault,' Ragnok continued. Harry, of course, already knew that. 'Casting such curses in a Gringotts vault is expressly forbidden. Now, because this is the second infraction committed by the Lestrange Family, they have hereby been banned from Gringotts.'
Sirius gave a barking laugh. 'Serves my evil cousin and her worthless husband right.'
'I agree, Lord Black,' Ragnok said with a predatory grin. 'The Lestranges have committed an unforgivable offense against Gringotts and their punishment fits the – '
Ragnok was suddenly interrupted by a shout in Gobbledegook. Harry turned around and saw that it had come from one of the goblin Curse-Breakers. He and Ragnok exchanged a few words in the goblin language, at the end of which Ragnok looked positively alarmed.
'Curse-Breaker Gornuk informs me that he has found another object in this room whose magical signature resembles that of a Horcrux,' Ragnok said, his speech slow and deadly serious. Gornuk said another few words in Gobbledegook, and Ragnok translated, 'He says that it does not appear to be the same as a real Horcrux. He believes that the object is an improperly made or incomplete Horcrux.'
Harry, Hermione, and Sirius looked at each other, confused.
'You're not in the business of making Horcruxes, are you? Lord and Lady Potter, Lord Black?' Ragnok asked.
'No. Making such a vile object would never even cross our minds,' Harry replied firmly. Hermione and Sirius nodded in agreement.
'I believe you, Lord and Lady Potter, Lord Black. However, may I allow my Curse-Breakers to examine the room for such an object?'
'Certainly. Examine us if you need to,' Sirius replied at once. 'If we accidentally brought one of those things into Gringotts, then it's better that it's been disposed of.'
'Thank you, Lords and Lady.' Ragnok turned to the Curse-Breakers and gave them an order in Gobbledegook. Immediately, six goblins scattered and began working around the room, muttering and waving their hands.
A goblin that looked to be the Chief Curse-Breaker began examining the three wizards. He waved his hands a few times in front of Hermione, then moved on to Sirius. Both were cleared within a few seconds.
Then, he moved on to Harry. After a single wave of his hand, his face grew alarmed. He shouted in Gobbledegook. He waved his hand again in front of Harry's face and said a few more words in Gobbledegook. The other Curse-Breakers and Ragnok were all joining in the conversation.
Two more goblins came to Harry and performed the same examination. They spoke to each other for a minute, then turned to Ragnok and spoke to him directly.
Finally, the Curse-Breakers returned to the back of the room and Ragnok turned back to a thoroughly shaken Harry.
'Our Curse-Breakers have detected a fragment of foreign soul around your temple,' Ragnok told him gravely. 'As Gornuk assessed previously, that piece of soul is very loosely bound to yours. It is a sign of a poorly-made or incomplete Horcrux.'
Hermione gasped. She turned to Harry. 'Your scar!' she shrieked, her eyes wide with realization and her face white with fright. 'That's Voldemort's seventh Horcrux! That's what was tethering him to life when…when…you know! Oh my fucking god! Oh my fucking god, what're we going to do? How are we going to get it out? We can't run you through with a basilisk fang!'
'Please sit down and remain calm for a moment, Lady Potter,' Ragnok commanded Hermione imperiously. 'The goblins have methods of dealing with this that are unknown to wizard magic. Normally, we do not allow wizards to take part in such processes. However, considering that you, my Lady, and your Lord Potter have been nothing but respectful and courteous clients who have already done a great service to Gringotts, as well as the fact that we are considering the life of a young man, I, as Chief Goblin of Gringotts, offer the aid of the goblin clan in disposing of this vile piece of magic.'
'Y-You can remove the soul fragment?' Hermione squeaked.
'You should be thankful that the soul fragment is very loosely attached to Lord Potter's soul, Lady Potter,' Ragnok replied, 'The loose attachment means that it will be very easily removed by our magic. Neither you, nor Lord Potter, nor Lord Black have reason to worry. The process will be easy, though just a little painful.'
'If you can remove it, I don't care if it feels like the Cruciatus Curse,' Harry said at once.
'I salute your spirit, Lord Potter,' Ragnok said, almost smiling. 'I recommend that we finish the rest of our business this morning, then the three of you should come back after lunch. This is a magically intensive process for those doing the removal. Living Horcruxes are almost un-heard of, but I would assume that it will be tiring for you as well, Lord Potter.'
'Okay,' Harry replied, swallowing, 'But we can get this done this afternoon?'
Ragnok nodded. 'The soul fragment will be eliminated before you leave the bank this evening. I do swear my honour on this promise.'
'Thank you, Chief Ragnok,' Harry said shakily.
'I am simply saving a life,' Ragnok replied. 'Now, on to business?'
Harry took a deep breath, trying to calm himself and regain his composure. 'As you please,' he said finally.
'Regarding the confiscated properties of the Lestranges,' Ragnok began, 'The total value of their vaults amounts to five-and-a-half million Galleons. The total value of their properties managed by Gringotts amounts to an estimated two million Galleons. We, the goblins of Gringotts, have confiscated those properties for sale and added their value to the asset calculation. Removing the standard Gringotts maintenance fee, approximately six million Galleons are rightly to be credited to you, Lord and Lady Potter.'
'If I remember correctly, Lord Potter, you expressed a desire to transfer some of those funds to other parties?'
'Yes, Chief Ragnok' Harry answered. He saw Hermione beaming at him out of the corner of his eye. 'I would like two million Galleons to be credited to the Longbottom Vaults. two million Galleons to be credited to St. Mungo's, with one million going to the Janus Thickey Ward for Permanent Spell Damage. The other two million Galleons can be placed in my vault and set aside for now, since I have no idea what to do with them.'
Sirius chuckled, smiling warmly at Harry. 'Poetic justice. The Lestranges' money going to help the Longbottoms. Your mother and father would've both loved it.'
'You are certain of this distribution?' Ragnok asked, still acting business-like.
'Positive.'
Ragnok nodded once to Harry, then turned to Barchoke and said a few words in Gobbledegook. He rushed out, the rest of the goblin party following him.
'Very well then, Lord Potter. Deputy Chief Barchoke has been dispatched to carry out your wishes. As it stands currently, the total value of your vaults is just under two-and-a-half million Galleons, not counting the two million Galleons you just set aside for later use.'
Harry nodded. He knew that it was a lot of money, but Harry was unsure how to make sense of the sum. 'Thank you, Chief Ragnok. One question. Can you tell me what two-and-a-half million Galleons means in muggle money?'
'At the current exchange rate of six-and-a-quarter Pound Sterling to one Galleon, you and your wife are worth approximately fifteen-and-a-half million Pound Sterling in muggle terms.'
Harry's jaw dropped. He normally did not care for money, but hearing that he was in possession of over fifteen million Pounds was bound to make anyone shocked. He was more glad than ever that the Dursleys knew nothing of the fortune that his parents possessed, for they would certainly attempt to claim it for themselves. Harry decided that he would to treat Hermione a lot in the future with those kinds of assets. 'Thank you, Chief Ragnok,' he choked out.
'My please to serve a valued and generous client, Lord Potter. Now, on to the properties,' Ragnok said. He pulled out a long roll of parchment from his desk.
'Your family owns a seventy-nine percent controlling stake in Sleekeazy's Hair Potion Company,' Ragnok recited off it. 'You also own another five stakes of less than ten percent each in five more businesses listed here. I will not read them aloud for the sake of brevity. Now. As for real estate, you own a plot of land in Godric's Hollow, as you probably know. A plot of land and a vacation home just north of Biarritz, in France. Another plot of land and a vacation home near Genoa, in Italy. A third plot of land about eighty kilometres southwest of New York City, in the United States, though that land, I believe, is currently being used by muggle tenants. Finally, the largest plot of land you own is located in Cumbria, and that covers just about eight hundred acres. That, too, is unused.'
Harry had to put his eyes back into their sockets. That was a lot for him to hear. To be honest, the vacation homes in France and Italy sounded quite nice, but he had no idea what he was to do with the stakes or the land. 'What exactly do I…do with all the properties, Chief Ragnok?'
'You don't have to do anything, Lord Potter' Ragnok answered. 'Your stakes in the companies give you some measure of control over them. They, along with the rented land, also generate a good amount of passive income. Just under fifty thousand Galleons in the last year, in fact. The vacation homes, I believe you would probably like to use. As for the other land and assets, Gringotts and its offices and associates in other countries will take care of them in your absence.'
'So I don't have to worry about it is what you're saying, Chief Ragnok?'
'Indeed. You can manage them yourself whenever you feel ready, or simply never touch them,' Ragnok answered. 'Your father, the previous Lord Potter, never once took them under his personal management in his life.'
'If your goblins can continue to manage them for the time being, Chief Ragnok, that would be excellent.'
'Consider it done, Lord Potter. That concludes our business for this morning. We will complete the soul fragment extraction this afternoon, of course.'
Harry shuddered a little at the reminder that he was carrying a piece of Voldemort's soul. 'Yes,' he replied, 'Thank you again, Chief Ragnok.'
Ragnok bowed to Harry, then he turned to Sirius.
'Now, Lord Black, you requested an appointment this morning, as well?'
'Yes, Chief Ragnok,' Sirius replied, 'I would like to sort out some family business.'
'Go on, Lord Black.'
'First, I would like to close all Black Vaults to all other members of my family except for myself and Andromeda Tonks.'
'That will be done. May I ask what for?'
'Certain members of my family have been siphoning off funds from the Black Vaults for…illegal purposes,' Sirius explained. 'This needs to stop at once.'
Ragnok nodded. 'Very well. Would you like Gringotts to prepare a summary of all transactions in and out of the Black Vaults in the past ten years?'
'That would be helpful, Chief Ragnok.'
'It will be done, Lord Black. However, it could take up to a full week or more, depending on the length of the transaction record in question.'
'That will be fine.'
Ragnok took a quill and took down Sirius's request. 'Is there anything else, Lord Black?'
'I have reason to suspect that Lucius Malfoy had reneged on his vow of loyalty to the Black Family, taken when he wed Narcissa Black.'
Ragnok raised his eyebrows. 'That particular vow I am familiar with. It stipulates loyalty to the House of Black and the Head of the Black Family both. How has Lucius Malfoy reneged on that vow, exactly?'
'I believe that Lucius Malfoy willingly joined the Death Eaters after taking that Vow, thereby swearing allegiance to Tom Riddle, commonly known as Lord Voldemort. I would like to declare Tom Riddle my enemy and an enemy of the House of Black.'
'That will not be necessary for you to punish Lucius Malfoy,' Ragnok said. 'I remember the exact wording from when your father, Orion, came to file the latest version of this vow, a year before his death. It demands loyalty to whoever is the Head of the Blacks at the time and prohibits the swearing of loyalty to or serving a different master. Past generations of Blacks have turned a blind eye to this, but if your claims of his sworn allegiance to Tom Riddle are true, then Lucius Malfoy would already be in violation of the Vow without you needing to declare Tom Riddle an enemy of your House. Does this make sense?'
Sirius nodded. 'Then…then can I…'
'I would assume you can,' Ragnok affirmed. 'If you truly would like to call in the consequences of the vow, I believe you may.'
'Then let's do it,' Sirius said with more than a hint of vindictive pleasure in his voice.
Ragnok took out a piece of parchment and a silver knife. 'Lord Black, please give a few drops of your blood. We will first need proof that the vow has been broken. Otherwise, the magic of the Vow will go awry and possibly backfire…with disastrous consequences.'
Sirius pricked his palm as Ragnok instructed and four drops of blood fell onto the parchment. Ragnok, satisfied, waved his hand and the cut healed instantly.
Harry saw lines and names begin to appear on the parchment. Most of those lines were black. However, several of the lines were blood red.
Harry and Hermione leaned in to scan the parchment. Harry searched for the name 'Lucius Malfoy'. When he found it, he saw that the line tying him to 'Narcissa Black' was one of the few that was blood red.
Ragnok looked Sirius in the eye. 'The vow of loyalty had indeed been broken.'
'Then I would like to call in the consequences for breaking the Vow,' Sirius replied.
'The consequences of this action are grave,' Ragnok warned. 'Per the wording of the Vow, you will be dissolving Lucius Malfoy's marriage to Narcissa Black, taking back the dowry, which will likely leave Lucius in deep debt. Their son, Draco, will be immediately disowned and left nameless, as he was sired under a broken Vow of Loyalty. Lucius Malfoy's magic will also be taken, since this Vow was sworn on honour and magic. The very essence of magic will enforce this, and there is nothing that Gringotts, nor your Ministry, can do to reverse it.'
'I am aware, Chief Ragnok,' Sirius said solemnly. 'I want to do it.'
'Then Lord Black, draw your wand and enforce the terms,' Ragnok instructed.
Sirius took out his wand and raised it towards the ceiling. 'I, Sirius Orion Black, Head of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, with Chief Goblin Ragnok, Harry James Potter, and Hermione Jean Granger as my witnesses, enforce the terms the Vow of Loyalty to the House of Black and the Head of the House of Black taken by Lucius Malfoy.'
A ball of red fire shot out of Sirius's wand.
'Based on the evidence provided by Chief Goblin Ragnok, I declare Lucius Malfoy's actions to be in violation of the terms of his sworn Vow of Loyalty. Any and all consequences outlined in the sworn Vow of Loyalty will hereby be applied to Lucius Malfoy, including the dissolution of his marriage to Narcissa Black, the return of her dowry, the disowning of his illegitimate son, as well as the stripping of his magic and loss of his honour. May magic enforce this vow.'
Sirius's wand tip grew gold for several seconds before extinguishing itself. Hermione gave a small shriek and looked down at the parchment. Harry followed her eyes and saw Lucius and Draco's names being wiped off the family tree.
Sirius lowered his wand and drew a deep breath. 'It's done, Chief Ragnok?'
Ragnok, too, looked down at the family tree. With a grin of satisfaction, he nodded.
'Is that all, Lord Black?'
Sirius was about to reply in the affirmative when Hermione interrupted him. 'What about Bellatrix?' she asked, 'She took the Dark Mark, too.'
'I cannot sever family ties made by blood,' replied Sirius sadly. 'But…I can do the same to Rodolphus. Chief Ragnok?'
Ragnok once again looked down at the family tree. Harry and Hermione leaned in, too. Just as with Lucius, the line connecting Rodolphus Lestrange to Bellatrix Black was red, indicating that his Vow, like Lucius's, had been broken.
'Lord Black, draw your wand and enforce the terms,' Ragnok said again.
Once more, Sirius said the words, enforcing the terms of the vow. Once more, a red ball of fire shot out of his wand before his wand tip glowed gold, casting Rodolphus out of the family and rendering him a squib.
Sure enough, Rodolphus Lestrange's name, too, disappeared from the family tree.
Sirius caught his breath. Apparently, the twin expulsion rituals was quite taxing on him.
'That is all my business for today, Chief Ragnok,' he said quietly but darkly at the thought of having just rendered two of the highest-ranking Death Eaters squibs.
'Very well, I shall see you, Lord Black, and Lord and Lady Potter back in my office in…two hours?'
Sirius looked at Harry and Hermione, who nodded.
'We shall see you here in two hours, Chief Ragnok. May your gold flow in rivers and may your enemies grovel at your feet.'
A/N: A bit of a copout, letting the goblins deal with the Cup and the Scar. However, I'm trying to get over the Horcrux hurdle as quickly as possible so that the story could focus on other things. For the story to work the way it was written, Harry needs to be lucid in the graveyard. That means the Scar Horcrux must be gone before the end of the fourth year – that is to say, before Voldemort's return. The Killing Curse route does not work here, since before Voldemort returns, there is next to no chance that Harry could get hit with a Killing Curse somehow, and considering we're dealing with Powerful!H/Hr, the chances of him accidentally taking a Killing Curse or needing to jump in front of a Killing Curse for Hermione (à la Harry Potter and the Last Chance) are low anyway. I could have made up a ritual, but honestly, it would be the same effect as 'goblins destroy the Horcrux'.
As for the Cup, I thought it was the easiest way. It wouldn't be realistic, in my opinion, for Harry and Hermione to attempt yet another Gringotts break-in, especially at this point in the timeline when there's nothing really going on Voldemort-wise. I could have based it off how Harry Potter and the Last Chance dealt with it, but I decided against it. One, I'm not as good of a writer as LeQuin, and two, it would be obvious where I took the idea from, and I did not want to plagiarize off someone else's idea for my own story.
So after thinking about it, I decided to go with the tried-and-true fanon trope. No more Horcruxes will be destroyed through the goblins, though. I don't like when the goblins get rid of every single Horcrux for H/Hr. It feels like almost an insult to their entire seventh year, and it is way too easy. Again, in my humble opinion.
A side note on Harry being obscenely rich. JKR stated herself that James Potter was able to support himself, Lily, Harry, Sirius, and Remus during the First War without needing to work. That's not something you can accomplish on an upper-middle-class income. Also, the money that Harry now has access to will come into play later in the story.
Although the modified 'Lord Potter' trope does play somewhat of a role in the plot, this will be the last time that Harry directly deals with Gringotts. The goblins, in the fabric of the story, are almost a plot device to accomplish two things: Head of House/emancipation and removing the Scar Horcrux. They will not make another appearance after Chapter 10. I'm trying to not make the whole goblins/Lordship concept overdone and 'in your face'. The political manoeuvring will be subtle, generally in the background, and mostly dealt with through Sirius and associates, since it's rather unrealistic in my opinion for children – yes, they're twenty-four mentally and magically, but they have the political experience of children – to deal directly with the Minister of Magic – essentially the Prime Minister – at every turn.
The 'Ron bashing' parts of the story seem almost comical at this point, but I don't think they're too far off the mark from what Ron was like at the beginning of GoF. Truthfully, Ron's actions in GoF were incredibly childish, jealousy-induced or not. I have no issue with bashing GoF Ron, since JKR herself set up Ron in that book as a genuinely unlikable character. This is not meant to be a crack fic, though. Later on in the story, Ron's jealousy and inferiority will lead him to some seriously foul actions. As the story gets darker and more serious, the development of Ron will go alongside.
Sorry for the extended A/N, but there were many things I wanted to get off my chest. I won't leave you hanging with Part 2 of this. Chapter 10 will be up sometime tomorrow or sometime over the weekend.
(Something to keep you excited, by the way. I'm working on a story that takes the opening of this one and removes the time travel. You can be assured the Scar Horcrux will be dealt with differently there.)
