Before Rose knew it, it was the rehearsal dinner. The house was ready for Scorpius and Rose to move in after their honeymoon. They were going to the cabin and spend two weeks there. They were both packed for it.
Scorpius had come home three days before the wedding. Rose only knew that he was home because he sent her a note telling her that he was. The rehearsal dinner was the first time that she was going to see him. She was still worried that this was going to be her marriage. She had no doubt that she loved Scorpius, but she didn't want to be an afterthought to him. She knew that he loved her. Every day that he was gone he would send her flowers; her parents' house was filled with them. She also missed him sleeping next to her at night. She didn't know what was wrong with her because she spent years sleeping without anyone in her bed. Scorpius wasn't needed to get a good sleep. Rose didn't tell anyone what was going on because they were all happy about the wedding.
Rose got out of the shower and put on the dress that she was going to wear for the dinner. She could hear her parents and Hugo also getting ready for the dinner. She sighed. She needed to see Scorpius to reassure her that everything was going to be okay. That what happen leading up to the wedding wasn't going to happen after the vows. She put on her make-up before her mum knocked on her door.
"Are you ready?" Her mother smiled. Rose nodded. She followed her mother out of her room to the floo.
The rehearsal dinner was the Malfoy Manor in the garden. Her family was gathered in the receiving room of the manor. She watched her family hug each other. She was the first to leave the room because she wanted to see her fiancée. She found him in the family sitting room. She felt her heart grow at the sight of him. He was talking to his father about something. There was nothing wrong with him. It felt like he knew she was there and turned around. There was so much love in his eyes. Rose wanted to run into his arms but took the time to meet him in the middle of the room. He pulled her into arms and Rose took a good smell of him.
"I've missed you," Rose said in his shirt.
"I've missed you, too." Scorpius kissed her on the top of head. She really wanted to kiss him on the lips, but she didn't want to do in front of his family and her family. Rose hoped for a moment alone with him.
"Since everyone is here, we should head to the spot of the ceremony," Astoria said. Rose looked around to see that her family was in the room. Astoria led the way out of the house to spot.
Rose thought that the place was beautiful in winter, but the place was gorgeous now. There were wildflowers everywhere. The spot where the wedding was going to take place was clear. The two trees where full of leaves making a beautiful arch to get married under.
"You were right, this is beautiful," Rose leaned up to kiss him.
"I'm glad that you love it. I can't wait to see you under that tree and marrying you," Scorpius smiled.
"Alright, I need the groomsmen, bridesmaids, bride, groom, and father of the bride over here," Hermione pointed to a spot that was away from the front. "I need Scorpius and Hector at the front." Scorpius kissed Rose before leaving her with her father. Scorpius and Hector went stood up next to Arthur, who was going to do the ceremony. "Teddy and Alice, you are going to have to go first, please leave enough room for the rest of the party." Teddy winked at Alice before taking her arm. Rose watched them walk to front. They left enough room for the others.
"Next James and Roxanne," Hermione smiled. James smiled as he led Roxanne to the front. "Al and Lucy," Hermione waved her hand as Al and Lucy made their way up front. "Hugo and Ariadne, you are the last couple to go," Hugo nodded to his mother as he led Ariadne to the front. "Alright Lily, you are alone, so walk down the center." Lily nodded.
"It's our turn," Ron leaned down to his daughter. Rose smiled at her father and grabbed his arm.
"The music will change," Hermione said pass the lump in her throat. "And you will make your way down the aisle."
Rose and Ron made their way down the aisle. Rose only had eyes for Scorpius who stood there with a smile on his face. Scorpius took a step towards them and held out his hand. Ron placed Rose's hand in Scorpius'. Ron kissed Rose's cheek before letting go. Scorpius led Rose to the front in front of her grandfather.
"This is where I say a few words," Arthur said. "Rose and Scorpius will be saying their own vows. They will exchange rings, I will bond them, they will kiss, and then pronounce them husband and wife."
"Rose and Scorpius will leave first," Astoria said. Scorpius and Rose left. Rose knew that Lily and Hector were following them. The rest of the wedding party followed them.
Scorpius and Rose led the party back to the garden. Once the garden was in view, Scorpius pulled Rose off the main path to a lesser known path. Scorpius held her hand as he took her the gazebo. "I haven't seen you in awhile and I think you deserve a proper kiss."
Scorpius lifted Rose's chin and placed his lips on hers. Rose lifted her arms and put them around his neck. Scorpius wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. Rose let out a moan and Scorpius deepen the kiss.
Scorpius broke the kiss. "Now that's a welcoming kiss," He smiled at her. Rose moved her arms from his neck and wrapped them around his waist. Rose laid her head on his chest.
"I've missed you," She said into his shirt.
They stood there with their arms around each other until they heard someone cough behind them. Scorpius looked over Rose's shoulder to see his sister standing there. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but everyone is waiting for the bride and groom," She smiled.
Scorpius let out a sigh and let go of Rose. They followed Ariadne to the center of the garden where tables set up. Everyone was sitting waiting for them. There were three seats that were empty. Ariadne went to her seat that was between Hugo and Lily. Scorpius and Rose found their seats between their parents. Their mothers gave them looks as they sat. Rose could only smile at her mother.
After they sat, the food and drinks appeared on the table. Talking started around the tables. There was light music playing in the background. As the sun set there were little lights started to shine. As the desert was cleared away, Ron stood up. Everyone quieted down and looked at him.
"I want to thank everyone for coming to my beautiful daughter's and the man who stole her heart wedding." There was laughter from crowd. Ron gave a weak smile before glancing at Rose. "I'm not good at this kind of speech," Everyone keep on smiling. Ron looked from Rose to the crowd. "I remember the day, Hermione," Ron glanced at his wife. "Told me that we were going to have a daughter, I was scared. I knew that she was going to be beautiful like her mother and just as smart. I had a feeling that some person was going to steal her away. I thought that I would have more time before I gave her away," Ron gave Scorpius a look before continuing.
"I remember the baby girl we brought home for the first time, she didn't want to sleep, Hermione and I ready to cry before she fell asleep on my shoulder. She looked so beautiful on my shoulder, that I fell in love with her more.
"That baby grew into a little girl, who loved her toy broom, that her godfather gave her," Ron gave Harry a look. "One day, she knocked down the vase that was from Hermione's aunt, and broke it. She had a look of innocent on her face and tried to blame it on the cat. She stomped her foot and placed her hands on her hip when we took her broom away. I remember trying not to laugh at her.
"That little troublemaker grew up and before I knew it, we were sending her to Hogwarts. Every year we would watch her grow into the beautiful woman she is today. I sometimes wonder how that little baby girl grew into this smart beautiful woman sitting before me." Ron smiled down at Rose.
"As I said earlier, I thought that I had a little more time before she brought a guy home. When Rose brought Scorpius home for the first time, I saw how much he cared for his daughter. He didn't break down when I stared him down," Everyone let out a laugh. "I knew that he was here to stay. I knew that he was already in love with my daughter when he sneaks into her room during the holidays.
"Scorpius and Rose I know that you have great examples of love and marriage," Ron looked from Scorpius and Rose to his wife, Draco and Astoria, his parents, their parents, and his siblings and their spouses. "But remember that a marriage takes work. The first couple of years are going to be hard, but I faith you could do it. Give a little because I know both of you are stubborn. Take care of each other and I can see that you already are. The babies are to come but remember that you are a couple before the babies.
"Scorpius these words are for you," Ron looked at his future son-in-law. "I know my daughter can be headstrong and too smart for her own good but remember to bring her down to earth sometimes. Take care of her. I'm giving you a precious gift." Rose rolled her eyes at her father.
Ron looked from Scorpius to Rose. "I love you, my little princess. You are going to leave and make your own home with Scorpius but remember that you have a place with your mother and me. Take care of Scorpius. I think he's going to need it," Scorpius shook his head.
"I want you to be strong for each other. Please raise a glass to Rose and Scorpius," Glasses of champagne appeared in front of everyone. Ron raised his glass. "To a love story that has no end," Everyone took a drink.
Rose got up and went to hug her father. There were tears in her eyes. "I love you, Dad."
Ron kissed the side of her head because he didn't want Rose to see the tears that were gathering in his own eyes. "I love you too."
No one wanted to interrupt the father/daughter moment but there were other things that needed to be done tonight before the wedding tomorrow. Everyone looked at Hermione or Scorpius to end the moment. Scorpius looked at Hermione, who only smiled. She waited a few more minutes before she let out a cough. Ron and Rose both pulled apart with a blush on their faces.
The night soon ended after that. Rose kissed Scorpius goodnight before she headed home to sleep. Her cousin Roxanne grabbed her hand. Rose gave her a look. All Roxanne did was pull her away from the group. They were soon met by her other female cousins.
"We're taking you out for your last night before you become a wife," Lily smiled.
