Chapter 12:
Blaine:
What do guys with boyfriends even wear? I scanned my closet, looking for something right. Kurt always dressed up and looked sexy as hell. So, what should I wear now that we are dating? I let my hand hover over a bow tie. No, I can't do it. I settle for my regular jeans and a v-neck. We talked after work last night and it was pretty amazing. Obviously I'm not a, "let's talk" kind of guy, but I really enjoyed it. I heard some shuffling around downstairs. It was probably mom, getting ready to go to work. She always left right before I do unless she had to drop Cam off at school. I walked down to the kitchen and saw her pouring coffee into a mug. She was still in her pyjamas.
"Are you sick or something?" She looked up and smiled at me.
"No sweetie, I'm taking off for a few days." I raised my eyebrows in shock. Mom never just took off for no reason.
"Really? Does Cooper need you or something?"
"No, I just though you and I could spend some time together." This is weird. She never spent time with me anymore.
"Oh... okay." She smiled at me and grabbed my hand.
"I want to talk to you about some things." I quickly took my hand back and pretended I didn't see the hurt look on her face.
"Sorry mom, but I got to go to school and I have the game tonight. Can we um... talk later?"
"Sure. Later then. Love you." I nodded at her, not knowing how to respond to her. I was just a little confused. My mood brightened when I remembered I was headed to school to see Kurt. My boyfriend.
Kurt:
I, Kurt Hummel, have a boyfriend. A super hot and super good kisser boyfriend. Blaine and I went for a walk last night after working in the shop and talked. It was the kind of talking where you can't shut up because you want them to know you and you want to know them so badly it's almost painful. That was the kind of talking we did. It was amazing. Afterward he took me home and we kissed goodnight. Did I mention he was a good kisser? I sat up in bed this morning and breathed in the new day. I felt like I could take on the whole world.
"Hey Kurt, you wanna ride to school together?" Finn's voice came through my door.
"Sure, I'll be down in a minute!" I heard the retreating footsteps letting me know he had gone downstairs. Throwing the covers off, I got up and went to pick out my outfit. I settled for a pair of tight fitting white jeans and a grey Alexander McQueen sweater. I styled my hair perfectly and headed down to breakfast.
"Morning, bud."
"Morning dad!" I ran and grabbed a piece of toast off the plate and then rushed out to my car where Finn was waiting. I finished off my toast before getting into the driver's seat.
"I know, Rachel. Yeah. I know. Okay, I'll talk to you when I get to school." He hung up his phone.
"Trouble with Rachel?"
"You know how she gets in the mornings. Plus, it's getting close to Barbra Streisand's birthday, so she's a little hyper." I shook my head. "She's also pretty upset that she lost her solo to Blaine." I rolled my eyes. My mood was too good to be ruined by Rachel being petty.
"Well, maybe we need to show some other talent in the group." He raised his eyebrows.
"So, what? Now you're on his side?"
"Finn, there isn't any sides. But I do think that we should showcase all the talent in the group, not just you and Rachel. Maybe I would like a solo, or Mercedes. Or literally anyone besides just Rachel."
"Whatever. I would like to win and not risk it on some newbie." I shook my head again. Still not going to ruin my mood. We pulled up to school and I felt my heart skip a beat when I saw Blaine standing at the entrance.
"You coming?" Finn asked.
"Go ahead. I will be in in a minute." He shrugged and headed off inside, glaring at Blaine for good measure. I waited until he got inside before I hopped out and practically skipped over to Blaine.
"Hey." He looked up from his phone and smiled.
"Hey, baby." I almost hit the ground.
"Baby?" He rubbed the back of his neck.
"You like it? I thought I would try out pet names." I bit my lip.
"I love it." He smiled at me before taking my hand in his. I quickly pulled away.
"What's wrong?" He looked at me nervously.
"Nothing! I just don't want anyone to know just yet. Well Mercedes knows, but Finn has issues with you apparently and Rachel hates you for 'stealing' her solo. I want to tell everyone in glee club together so they can't yell at me." I looked up at him shyly. He smiled at me.
"Okay, but we are telling them today when we meet." I nodded and kissed his cheek. He blushed
"Thank you for understanding."
"I'm still walking you to class."
"What? Why?"
"'Cause Karofsky is still lurking around and I don't want him to mess with you again." I smiled sadly. I really didn't want that to ruin our first day as a couple.
"Okay. Can you get me to math class?" He smirked and led the way.
...
Rachel:
I was the first one in the choir room. I was hoping to catch Mr. Schuester before we began and plead my case once again. I saw the other members start to pour in, Mr. Schuester right behind them chatting to Mike about dance moves. He got to the head of the classroom when I raised my hand.
"Mr. Schuester! I would like to say-"
"I'm going to stop you there, Rachel. I'm not giving all the solos to you and Finn. End of story." I huffed and crossed my arms. Then he walks in. Blaine Anderson. The guy who will surely ruin our chances at sectionals. He sat in his usual seat just as Kurt walked in behind him. Kurt is my only real competition. He's really talented, but I am more talented. He stopped at the front of the class, looking as though he was debating something. Instead of going for his usual seat next to Mercedes, he went toward that imposter! He just walked up next to him and turned to sit down when Blaine pulled him into his lap! Shock flashed across Kurt's face and Blaine had that stupid smirk on his face. Finn stood up and looked ready to beat him up.
"What the hell do you think you're doing to my brother?" Finn growled as he stormed over there. Blaine just kept smirking.
"I think my boyfriend is sitting in my lap." Everyone froze.
"Boyfriend? Kurt, what's he talking about?" Kurt was the color of a rose. I felt for him, but then again if he didn't associate with a neanderthal, then this kind of stuff wouldn't happen. Kurt fixed Blaine with a glare and then looked back at us, hands on his hips and still perched on Blaine's lap.
"Blaine and I are dating now." Everyone was still quiet. Dating? Dating! He was dating that- that slick haired, show stealer? Finn looked like his blood was boiling. I was seething inside myself. "Look I don't expect you all to like or care about it, but I do ask that you keep your negativity to yourself." It was quiet.
"Get it, Hummel!" Puck yelled out. Everyone started laughing. Mercedes even said she was happy for them. I just rolled my eyes away. I couldn't believe he would do that. Date that football player! Although, I date a football player, but that's different! Blaine grabbed Kurt around the waist in a disgusting show of possessiveness. I couldn't believe this was happening! I would have to talk some sense into Kurt.
Kurt:
After glee was over, I tried to leave before anyone could catch up to me, but a hand on my shoulder told me I had failed. I turn around to face Rachel and Finn.
"What?" I said defensively.
"I cannot believe you, Kurt! You are dating the enemy!" God, she was even more dramatic than me.
"He's not the enemy, Rachel. He's my boyfriend and as I said, if you have any negative comments about it, keep them to yourself." Rachel gasped and clutched her necklace.
"Dude, why didn't you tell me? We were talking last night." Finn looked more hurt than mad. I suppose I should have told him or at least given him a heads up. I mentally kicked myself.
"I'm sorry Finn, but I know how you feel about him and I didn't want you to yell at me." I looked up at him with the biggest puppy dog eyes I could manage. He sighed.
"Look, if you had just told me I could have backed you up. Sure, I'm not his biggest fan, but you're my brother. I support you no matter what." I almost cried. That was the sweetest thing I've heard Finn say. Rachel just rolled her eyes.
"Thanks, Finn. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. Next time I promise you'll be the first to hear about my secret boyfriend." That made him crack a smile.
"Okay. I'll see you at the game man." He left, taking a gaping Rachel with him. I smiled, glad I had such an awesome brother. I felt hands come around my waist and a head propped on my shoulder.
"Everything okay, babe?" I turned around in his arms and stared into those beautiful hazel eyes.
"Everything is perfect." He smiled and kissed me. I swear, every kiss was better than the last. I kissed him back and then we broke apart.
"So, you ready for the game tonight?" I ask.
"Yeah, except I'm a little pissed I can't play." He wiggled his foot. "It's feeling better so why can't I play?" He pouted and I must say, he looked adorable.
"Because you don't want to re-strain it." He rolled his eyes.
"This is all Karofsky's fault." I looked down when I heard the name. I don't want to admit it, but he still scared me. "Hey, what's wrong?" He lifted my head up by my chin.
"Nothing, it's just I don't like talking about him." Blaine hugged me close to his chest. I felt like I was about to burst with happiness.
"He's never going to hurt you again. Not while I'm around." I smiled and buried my face into his chest. It was warm and felt safe, like nothing could touch me.
"Fucking fags." I heard his voice ringing in my ears. Suddenly, Blaine let go of me and charged towards Karofsky who was standing in the doorway. I grabbed Blaine by the arm and pulled as hard as I could.
"Blaine, don't! It's not worth it!" He stopped and glared at Karofsky.
"If I even see you look in his direction, everyone will know your little secret!" Karofsky's eyes grew wide as the color drained from his face. He retreated out of the classroom and down the hall. Blaine gripped me tighter as he watched him go.
"Damn it! I hate him so much!"
"You don't hate him, Blaine."
"I do. I hate him for what he did to you. I hate that I have to watch you every minute."
"Well, at least the view's not bad." I laughed a little. He let his head fall and laughed too.
"No, the view isn't bad at all." I ran my hand along his gelled hair and looked him in the eyes.
"Let's get back to us. Okay. We are going to win this game and I'm going to cheer for you, even if they don't let you on the field. Then you are getting a surprise." Blaines eyebrows went up.
"Not that kind of surprise, get your head out of the gutter." He started to laugh.
"Okay babe, lets go. I wanna talk to the guys before the game." I nodded as I take his hand in mine. We walked down to the locker rooms hand in hand and smiling like idiots.
...
Jeff:
The best part of being on the football team is watching the hot guys get dressed, and by hot guys, I mean Nick. That boy was fine! From his straight brown hair to his cute little toes. That ass too!
"Jeff, stop thinking about Nick's ass" Wes deadpanned. I looked up at him as he tied his shoe.
"How do you know I'm thinking about his ass?"
"You're almost drooling, that's how." Damn, I was getting too easy to spot.
"Whatever, you're just jelly because you don't have a cute boyfriend to stare at." Wes gave me one of his sassy looks.
"I'm glad I don't have a boyfriend since I'm straight." I stuck my tongue out at him before getting distracted by Nick wiggling his butt a little while so he could pull up his pants. I almost did drool then.
"Listen you guys, you have to win this so we can be sure to go to championships!" While I had zoned out, Blaine had come in and started yammering on about plays and strategy.
"Blaine, I can't go on strategy. I have to feel the moves and the flow of the game." He squinted and shook his head at me.
"Look B, We will be fine without you for a couple of games. I know you think we are all worthless without you to back us up, but we can play football."
"I didn't say you guys were worthless. You just aren't as good." Wes snapped and put Blaine into a head lock. They started to laugh and roughhouse when Hummel came trotting in. He leaned down to reach something in his locker. Now, his butt was also pretty amazing. I apparently was staring because David started to talk about my obsession with butts.
"Now you're staring at Hummel's butt too? Damn, Jeff, you need to get some help." That made Blaine stop. He looked up at me and then over to Hummel, who had stood up after hearing us talking about his butt and went red all over, especially in the face.
"You aren't allowed to look at his ass, Jeff!" Blaine seemed a bit angry, which surprised all of us.
"Please stop talking about my ass." Hummel slammed his locker and turned with his butt away from us. He huffed and inched out of the room, keeping his back to the lockers. Blaine's eyes never left the Cheerio until he left the room.
"B, what's up with you two?" David asked looking between them.
"Yeah, why are you so defensive about Hummel's ass?" Wes asked. Blaine glanced at all of us, blushing furiously.
"Because he's my... boyfriend." We all let our mouths drop.
"Boyfriend? You? Blaine Anderson, have a boyfriend?" I asked with utter shock written over my face.
"Yes, he's my boyfriend. I have a boyfriend. Are you happy now?" Blaine was looking down at his injured foot and ignoring us.
"Bro, we are happy for you." David went up and put his hand on Blaine's shoulder.
"Yeah man, we love you, bro. We want you to be happy." Nick smiled at him. Blaine finally looked back at us and smiled.
"Thanks, guys."
"You two are totally coming on a double date with me and Nicky." I stated matter-of-factly. He rolled his eyes.
"Maybe." We all did a group hug with Blaine yelling at us to stop in the middle. When we finally backed away, he glared at us.
"Come on! Let's win this game! For Blaine!"
"For Blaine!" We all yelled, running out onto the field ready to win.
"Told you they would get together! All you bitches owe me fifty bucks!" I sang to the others.
Blaine:
I decided I was quitting the football team. I didn't know what I was missing while I was playing all this time. I watched Kurt wiggle his butt and dance almost provocatively. Jeff was right, he had an amazing ass. I watched him intently as the team played in the background. We were tied and the game was intense, but I couldn't seem to tear my eyes away from Kurt. The referee whistle broke me out of my trance; it was halftime, which meant it was time for the Cheerios to perform. They ran out on the field amid cheers, smiling even though Coach Sylvester was screaming profanities at them.

This almost makes me want to quit football. Almost.
Non-stop we'll win the game
Step it up or get out of our way
Oh yeah we're never gonna stop
Gonna turn a little to a lot
I am pulled out of my ogling by someone out of the corner of my eye. Jeremiah came ambling over and sat in the bleachers. He was looking straight at me.
"Shit!" I say out loud. What the hell was he doing here? The Cheerios finished their song and left the field. I momentarily forgot my issue as my only thought was on getting over to Kurt, so I quickly hobbled back to the sidelines. Jeremiah saw me and started to follow as I made it to Kurt. He was wiping off sweat with a towel, which should have grossed me out, but actually turned me on a little (especially when he leaned his head back and wiped his neck.) He looked up at me and smiled.
"Hey! Did you like the song?"
"Yeah, I did, but we have to go somewhere else." He blushed.
"You liked it that much?" He laughed, his cheeks tinted pink. I realised what it sounded like and blushed.
"No, baby, I didn't mean that... I just mean we have to-" I was cut off by Jeremiah.
"Hey, Blaine." He was standing right behind us, eyes moving between me and Kurt appraisingly.
"Oh, hey." I looked back at Kurt, recognition on his face. Damn it. Why does this have to happen to me?
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your friend, Blaine?" Jeremiah purred. Kurt crossed his arms and frowned. That's it. This is the end of my first real relationship.
"My name is Kurt. I'm Blaine's boyfriend." Kurt said, eyes glittering with menace. Jeremiah's eyes went wide.
"Boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?" I really wanted to not be here right now.
"Yes, he does. So, please stop talking as though I'm not here." Kurt seemed really pissed. I should probably do damage control.
"Look Jeremiah, it was nice to see you, but as Kurt mentioned, I have a boyfriend now so could you, I dunno, maybe leave?" I really didn't want anything to mess me and Kurt up this early and I did ask him nicely. Jeremiah's face twisted in anger.
"Well, I guess I'm not welcome." He sneered. Turning to Kurt, he said, "Just letting you know, Kurt, he's not boyfriend material. He's only good for one thing." I winced at the comment. He wasn't wrong, but it still stung a little. Turning to see just how much Kurt's regretting being my boyfriend, I was surprised. He looked like he was about to explode. And then he did.
"First of all, he is worth more than 'one thing!' He is an amazing boyfriend! You can just take your jealous ass several seats away from MY fucking boyfriend!" Kurt suddenly grabbed my shirt and slammed our mouths together. I got over my shock fast and wrapped my arms around him, kissing him back with enthusiasm. Jeremiah seemed just as shocked as I was when Kurt tore his mouth away from mine. I had to hand it to him, Kurt knew how to angry kiss. It was hot.
"It was nice to meet you. You can go now." Kurt smirked as Jeremiah stuttered slightly before leaving. He still had a good grip on my shirt, but I was too dazed to care.
"Oh my god, he pissed me off so much." Kurt ground out of clenched teeth. I looked at him, amazed. The words he had spoken a moment ago still ringing in my head. I wasn't used to people defending me. He thought I was a good boyfriend! He thought I was worth something. I grabbed his face and pulled him into another kiss, but this one was slow and sweet. We pulled away after a minute.
"What was that for?" He whispered against my lips. His eyes were still closed, fanning his lashes against his cheek.
"Because you're amazing." He blushed and I released him. "Now, get back out there, gorgeous." He smiled and jogged back out on the field, joining his fellow Cheerios while I went back to my spot on the bench. Maybe this would work after all.
...
Kurt:
After the game, which we lost, I got changed and headed outside. Blaine was waiting for me at the entrance. He returned the smile I gave him as I took his outstretched hand.
"Hey, you did great tonight, babe." I blushed at the compliment. I still couldn't believe I had acted so possessive around Jeremiah. I was just going to be civil until he talked about Blaine the way he did. Admittedly, I had thought the same thing about him before, but the more I got to know him, the more I learned it wasn't the truth.
"Thanks."
"So, do I get my surprise now?" He tried to say it nonchalantly, but I could see his childlike excitement in his eyes.
"Yes." I grabbed his other hand in mine. "Blaine Anderson."
"Yes, Kurt Hummel?" He smiled and my heart nearly melted.
"Would you go on a date with me?" His smile grew wider.
"Kurt Hummel, I would love to." I grinned so hard, I was showing teeth.
"Great, tomorrow then?"
"Tomorrow." We continued to walk. I couldn't wait for Saturday!
