Sam was asleep in Josh's car. As he hadn't slept very well last night so now seemed like the perfect time to sleep. Josh didn't seem to mind as he was so concentrated on driving. However, every bump they went over woke Sam so he didn't really get any sleep whatsoever on the way there.
"I never remember these many bumps in the road!" Sam moaned for the third time.
"Is that all you can think about?" Josh asked.
"Right now yeah."
"Oh you're so annoying!" Josh sighed as the car pulled into traffic.
There were cars everywhere as far as the eye could see and didn't seem to be moving. Josh leant his head against his hand on the window frame.
"Why does it have to be right now?!" Josh looked out.
"Can't you be patient?" Sam moaned back.
"Yeah very funny. Look can you call Leo to say we'll be late?" Josh passed Sam his phone.
Sam nodded as he typed in Leo's number. Before he could ring Leo however, the phone rang by itself. The president's number came up on the phone. Sam gasped and nearly dropped the phone about seven times.
"What the hell mam?!" Josh complained.
"Sorry. Right." Sam picked up the phone again and pressed to answer.
"Hello?" Sam asked.
"Sam it's Abby here. Are you busy?" Abby's voice answered.
"Oh hi Abby." Sam sighed with a sigh of relief.
"Well, are you busy?"
"Yeah just on our way to the hospital now."
"Is Josh with you?"
"I wouldn't be going unless Josh dragged me there!" Sam joked.
"True. Now, tell us when you get back how our patient is." Abby said sweetly.
"Of course Ma'am."
"Good luck Sam." Abby ended the call.
Sam smiled as he put the phone down. Josh looked over to him as the traffic started to move again.
"That was the first lady." Sam said.
"Yeah I guessed. What did she want?"
"Wanted to know what we're doing."
Josh shrugged as he moved on with the traffic.

Abby put the phone down on the desk. Bartlett came through the door with a new suit and a new smile. Abby put the phone away so he couldn't answer it if it went off.
"Abby?" Bartlett asked suspiciously.
"What? You're supposed to be relaxing." Abby spoke up for her actions.
"Not all day though. Now who was that?" Bartlett asked again.
"Sam." Abby answered.
Bartlett was waiting for more from that sentence but didn't get any. Abby just went back to her bedroom without the phone which Bartlett quickly picked up.
"Hospital huh." Bartlett smiled.

CJ slowly turned around to the bed. She was right and a hand was touching hers. She looked up towards the top of the bed. Simon's eyes began to flicker. CJ's mouth went into a massive smile as Simon came around.
"CJ?" He asked quietly.
"Hey I'm here. It's okay. Leo go and get a nurse." CJ told Leo.
Leo nodded as he went out of the room. Simon watched him go and then turned back to CJ. CJ knew he wouldn't want to talk long so would have to keep it short.
"How are you feeling?" CJ asked even though she didn't want to know the answer.
"Like I've been shot." Simon groaned.
CJ shook her head and then tried to make her smile even wider if that was possible.
"How are you?" Simon asked, taking CJ's hand again.
"Worried about you mainly and sleepy." CJ nodded.
Before the conversation could go any further, the nurse entered the room. CJ could see Leo standing behind her and knew she would have to go for a bit.
"I'll be back in a minute." CJ kissed Simon on the forehead.
Simon nodded slowly and then watched as Leo and CJ left for a bit. He didn't like to be alone but it wouldn't be long until CJ was back in the room again.
"What did he say?" Leo asked CJ putting a hand on her shoulder.
"He feels great apparently." CJ shrugged.
"Sam and Josh should be on their way soon." Leo nodded towards the reception.
"Good luck to them trying to get past reception." CJ chuckled.
Leo chuckled also as Sam and Josh seemed to walk towards them. The receptionist didn't even bat an eyelid which surprised both Leo and CJ alike. Sam and Josh finally made their way to CJ and Leo.
"How is he?" Sam asked, rubbing his eyes.
"He's awake. The nurse is with him now." CJ said.
"Well that's great news!" Josh said, trying to sound optimistic even though he was very sleepy.
"Why aren't you two in bed?" CJ smirked.
"Someone said we should come here!" Sam looked at Josh.
"Yeah so we should have come here anyway." Josh spoke up for himself.
The nurse then opened the door with the group all turning around. The nurse then nodded at Simon and left the group to see Simon however, CJ went in first on her own so they could have some time together.
