DM Margo Alone Chapter 11

Margo headed to the reception area to get her room key. ''Hello reservation under the name of Gru'' she smiled sweetly at the lady behind the desk. The lady gave her a strange look thinking she was a little young to be making a reservation. ''I'm traveling with my mom'' Margo fibbed, ''She's on business, she's at a meeting. I hate meetings''.

The lady agreed. "Mmm-hmmm". ''I hate meetings'' Margo continued, ''Plus I'm not allowed in. I have to sit and wait in the lobby. That's boring. So my mom dropped me off here. She gave me her credit card''. Margo handed Lucy's credit card to the lady. ''She said that whoever was checking people in to let me into the hotel room so I won't get restless. We all do!'' Margo finished.

Margo paid using the card and a member of the hotel staff came to show her to her room. ''This is one of our finest sweets madam'' he said. Margo looked around the huge room, ''This is great!'' she said quietly, ''Wow a huge bed just for me!''. She looked at the posh bathroom and then she found the refrigerator full of sweets and cookies.

''Hey!'' she said, suddenly catching sight of the hotel staff member looking through her stuff. ''Do you want me to put the key in the bag?'' he asked, ''Or do you wanna hold onto it?''. ''I'll hold onto it'' said Margo suspiciously. ''Everything all right madam'' asked the hotel staff member, ''Is the room temperature too hot or too cold for you?''.

''it's fine'' said Margo. ''Do you know how the TV works?'' asked the hotel staff member. ''I'm 12 years old'' said Margo, ''TV's my life''. ''Well?'' said the hotel staff member holding out his hand. Margo stuck a fruit chew in his hand and he left.

Later on, Margo got changed into her two piece swimming costume and goggles and went to try out the hotel's swimming pool, water slide and Jacuzzi. She jumped into the deep end. ''Bombs away!'' she shouted. "Yes!" she cried triumphantly as she rose to the surface gasping for air. But then Margo noticed she'd lost the bottoms of her costume and there they were floating nearby!

"AHH!" she shrieked and quickly swan over to grab them hoping no one saw her buttocks! ''Guess I'd better not do again'' Margo thought. She remembered the same thing happened to her mom in the lake on the very same camping trip when she first showed symptoms of her PTSD. Next, Margo went on the waterslide called the Corkscrew a good few times.

The bottom even looked like a dragon's mouth. "WOOO-HOOO!" she cheered as she splashed into the deep water at the bottom. Then she spent a good couple of hours in the Jacuzzi. Margo stretched out happily. She was having the time of her life! When it was time for the pool to close for the night, Margo chilled out on her hotel bed watching TV and ordered some room service.

The waitress brought a load of ice cream and patisserie cakes. ''One scoop or two madam?'' she asked, dishing some ice cream into a bowl for Margo. ''Three please'' said Margo, her eyes glued to the TV. Later on that evening, Margo heard the sneaky hotel staff member who'd showed her to her room was in fact the concierge coming to check on her. His name was Cedric.

Margo was dozing on her bed feeling full up having eaten eating so much ice cream with her belly sticking out of her shirt. "Unnnnnghhh..." she groaned. But then she heard Cedric's voice outside the door, 'Housekeeping!''. Margo gasped. She knew Cedric was sneaky about the fact she had used her mom's credit card and had to make him go away somehow.

She struggled to get up quickly with her full stomach and hurried into the bathroom with her belly hanging out of her shirt. She turned on the taps and shower head and got to work. Cedric came into the room. Margo blew up her inflatable alligator, placed it in the bath under the showerhead and played her recording of her dad singing in the shower.

Cedric heard someone singing the song Happy, but he didn't know it was a recording! Nor did he realize the person in the shower was actually an inflatable alligator. Cedric didn't see Margo controlling the alligator with some bits of string, she was well hidden! Margo turned the alligator to face Cedric at just the right time for final bit of the recording.

''HEY! YOU LITTLE SPY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE! SHOW SOME RESPECT!'' GET OUT OR I'M GONNA FREEZE YOU INTO LIKE AN EXTINCT WOOLLY MAMMOTH!'' came the roar of an angry Gru voice. Cedric gasped, but when Margo played the special sound effects of a real alligator roaring, he made a run for it thinking the alligator was a real one who could talk! "AAAAAHHHH!" he screamed.

On his way out, he accidently kicked his knee on the little table. "DOW!" he yelped loudly. ''Phew! That was a close one!'' said Margo who was feeling very relived. Meanwhile in Tampa, Gru and Lucy had gotten in touch with the police from their own hometown. Lucy also realized she didn't have her credit card cos Margo had it as Lucy had given her daughter her hand baggage to carry containing her purse credit card and other things at the airport.

She told the police and they said that Margo could be tracked down if she used the card. Lucy wasn't sure if Margo knew how to work a credit card, but unknown to Lucy, Margo had managed to. Before she went to bed, Margo looked out of the bedroom window across the night sky. "'Goodnight, Mom" she said quietly. Over in Tampa, Lucy did the same for her daughter. "Goodnight, Margo," she whispered.

The next morning, Margo was in the hotel lobby after breakfast when Cedric came to see her. To her surprise, he said, ''Look I'm sorry about the loss of your mom last night'' he said. He sounded very sympathetic and Margo wasn't sure whether he meant Lucy or Annie, her birth mom.

''Er my birth mom Annie died when I was a baby'' Margo explained, ''And my new mom Lucy is still alive''. Cedric nodded deceivingly. Margo went out to catch a limousine the hotel had offered her to do some more sightseeing. There was even a stuffed crust pizza in store for her as well as a TV inside for her watch while she travelled!
